I’m so confused about people who claim to like Danneel and try to force that onto others, because they clearly don’t like her. She has none of the qualities or accomplishments that they assign to her. If they actually liked her, they wouldn’t feel the need to make her into something she’s not.

She’s not a working producer. CMP has had one project make it to air in the 4 years it’s been running, was let go from their deal with WB because they had nothing to offer them, and is currently embroiled in a lawsuit for unsafe set practices. The one project they had air was poorly run (over budget, behind schedule, poor working environment and unsafe conditions) and poorly received. The company itself was given to Jensen as a consolation prize when SPN ended because the CW/WB didn’t have anything lined up for him acting wise but didn’t want to lose him. It’s not something she started from the ground up, or earned on her own merit. I will admit that we don’t know what goes on in her day to day, but there’s nothing to suggest that she’s hard at work behind the scenes the way they claim.

It’s sad that her role as Rachel, a forgettable side character from a 2000s teen drama, is the closest she’s ever come to relevance and that’s why she’s still clinging to it all these years later despite all of the trauma it has supposedly caused her. And I wouldn’t say well on her way to reprising that role – it’s a project that Amazon already passed on and Netflix won’t officially claim. Another project that “leaked” to try to get interest and investments, and was panned by fans.

She is not respected in the industry, and never has been. No one knows who she is unless Jensen is standing beside her, and before she was Jensen’s wife she was a dime a dozen casting couch bimbo.

And as for her creativity and work ethic, don’t make me laugh. The Winchesters is a great example of how lacking she is in those areas. If she has anything good coming her way it’s not because she’s earned it.

Yup, I still stand by my opinion that Jensen isn't a leader. Hopefully he's learned his lesson from The Winchester debacle and step it up going forward. But I have a bad feeling he's going to hand off the pressure and responsibilities onto his co-lead. For years the J2 were publicly credited for creating a good work environment on the SPN set, to the point that Misha promised in the Entertainment Weekly "End of the Road" article to bring the "J2’s legendary team work" magic to your set if you would just hire me! Time and Walker have proven that it was primarily Jared who cultivated a good work environment.

Jensen doesn't have a Q score since 2018, that is the fact. I said Amazon had the option to renew their deal through his production company. CMP is not producing The Countdown.

Nah, I'm going to keep commenting on MY blog. Jensen was unemployed for a total of 3 years compared to Jared's current unemployment of 3 weeks although his prospects is very good so don't worry, Jared will be in another project soon, he just has to make a choice.

Jensen is finally a lead of his own tv show, I'm genuinely happy for his fans, they waited for so long! And a copaganda show at that! (to use AAs' own words in their reactions to Walker lol)

Yes Karma always wins in the end, and Jared has more wins than Jensen when you look at their career side by side. Even if The Countdown goes for 4 seasons, Walker will still have more episodes.

Jensen and Danneel, an unstoppable duo? Yeah, maybe if you let them loose in a liquor store.

They’ve done four projects together, and none of them have exactly catapulted the Ackles into power couple status.

The Plight of Clownana: It’s a 16 minute short film from 2004. Danneel played a character called DildoMan’s fan. Her at the time boyfriend (who she cheated on to get with Jensen) was also in it. It did show at a few film festivals, but in 2024 it has no cultural relevance unless you’re a Jensen fan.

Ten Inch Hero: Another project you haven’t heard of unless you’re a Jensen fan/in the SPN fandom. And that’s probably for the best given that it’s another one of D’s soft core porn roles and no one should be subjected to her trying to be sexy.

Supernatural: Nepo wife writer (who is bad at her job) writes role for Nepo wife actress (who, surprise! is also bad at her job). Not only was she an unmemorable character who added nothing to the plot, but she had more chemistry with Mark Pellegrino than she’s ever had with her husband.

The Winchesters: The cherry on top of the what is ‘wrong with these people’ sundae. Even if you ignore that the show was a poorly written cash grab, it was still a fail. Over budget, behind schedule, and facing currently a lawsuit for an unsafe working environment. Went so poorly that the WB ended its deal with CMP – I mean, let them go to Amazon instead because they wuv Jensen. So powerful.

I'm told this is the last known photo of Danneel with Jensen (late January, supposedly, while in Dallas. Why Dallas? Hell if I know. Maybe obligatory family visit to Jensen's family in Dallas?)

They had to have a full person between them. Danneel looks... awful. Seriously, her fashion sense has constantly left me baffled. (One theory is she does it on purpose because then at least she's being spoken of. Ooookay.) Her "suit" looks like flannel pajamas. Jensen looks decent, I suppose, if horribly clashing against Danneel's outfit (or hers horribly clashing against his).

Look at the way Jensen is leaning--he's trying to put a lot of space between him and Danneel, even putting a whole person in the middle. The smile seems polite enough.

The whole photo screams publicity stunt--to make it known they've been seen, as opposed to, I dunno, a random fan noticing them and taking a photo.

Not for the first time, I wonder what goes on behind doors. Jensen keeps pushing a heavy narrative of him doing stuff around the house, that Danneel is being domestic (no she isn't; bare minimum they have a housekeeper and a gardener for a mansion that size), but his domestic tidbits change on location. When he was in Rome, he said she was cooking Italian food. In France, he said she was a "Francophile" and whipping up French food. I'm getting whiplash by his changing stories.

Of course, a part of it just may be him believing that the family man image is good for him. Maybe for his (ugh) Ackles Army fans, but not for the rest of his fans and the general audience. If the general audience can see the insincerity of his stories, the fakeness of his photos with Danneel....

Hollywood would see it too. And they would give him a gimlet eye.

As it is, one theory for him getting the lead in Countdown is because Amazon denied the spin-off for Soldier Boy and this was their... apology gift.

Six months, give or take, before Chaos Machine Production's deal with Amazon expires. And so far, CMP has yet to show anything of a success story.

How do they continue to just get things so blatantly wrong all the time? Nope, Jensen didn't "launch" anything, he was handed an already created production company. He then got said production company fired, sorry, they "amicably parted ways" or whatever. Then Amazon took it on as part of a deal with Jensen (they prob want him on for TB and to have TB be the first priority with anything he wants to work on). That is not even remotely the same as what Ryan is doing.

I beg people to understand how Hollywood works. This is like saying some famous actor (completely above Jensen's tier) got cast in a tv show on the CW. Since Jensen has also been on a tv show on the CW... they could possibly work together someday! Like... it's possible, but not because of the network or studio connection. Do these people even know how many first-look deals Amazon has? Not to mention the fact that it's likely Jensen and CMP's deal expires soon.

And yeah, Jensen didn't do anything to build CMP. It was handed to him on a silver platter and he turned it into a disaster.

How long do you think Jensen has been sitting on these deals? I’m guessing he was always going to be big in S5 of The Boys and he had the Soldier Boy prequel back in 2022 when Amazon signed him. No one would talk about either until S4 aired because it would have been a spoiler in ref to S4. Think Countdown came after the other two deals with Amazon, and Tracker is just a fun, friend thing. I also think the move to CT was to position Jensen a short plane ride from home, while filming those two Boys shows out of Toronto. What are your thoughts?

The Soldier Boy thing wasn't a done deal then. The thing about Hollywood is that it can change on a dime. I've heard of other projects Jensen had in the works that never made it. Remember how he was working with Greg Berlanti?

Kripke says that he pitched both Vought Rising and Gen V back in 2020, but that Amazon said that they would see how Gen V did before agreeing to Vought Rising.

Based on what one of my industry sources said, I think Jensen knew he was doing Vought Rising by spring of this year as the latest. Unless Kripke was lying about Amazon waiting to see how Gen V would do, Jensen didn't have Vought Rising when he signed.

This article says, "I hear the possibility for a Soldier Boy spinoff from The Boys was factored into the deals for Countdown, so Ackles could do both."

Which, to me, means that he signed for a show like Countdown first, but had the option for him to do Vought Rising if that was given the greenlight. From how Jensen talked about his deal with Amazon in m&gs and how these deals normally work, he didn't sign up for Countdown specifically, but it was one of many possible shows.

My producer friend says that Jensen would've been given a variety of different scripts, and then he would select the scripts that interested him from that pile, and he would work together with the producers to see if a viable product could be made. There's no evidence CMP is involved with Countdown, but if they were, we'd see the official announcements talk about it in a different way.

So while Countdown did come after the deal with Amazon (which wasn't made for a specific show) it wasn't after Vought Rising, which wasn't inked until after Amazon saw the ratings for Gen V. Gen V first aired Sept 29, 2023. They probably waited a few episodes to see if the audience stuck around, since some shows can have strong pilots, but then drop off dramatically.

That means Vought Rising likely didn't get a go ahead until October 2023 at the earliest.

If the CMP deal is only for a year, that would explain the almost disdain Jensen has for the strikes. The clock is running out.

While I can understand the pain of being stuck due to the strikes, no intelligent actor should fail to support the strike and his/her peers. This is a highly important moment in history for actors that might lead to the disappearance of the craft itself. I am extremely dissapointed that Jensen has not shown support in any way. He is a role model to many and his voice could bring positive impact and even powerful impact, if he steps into his best self.

Besides, his CMP deal was going go go nowhere anyway, Amazon threw that in to get Jensen. At least, he now has an excuse as to why his production company failed abysmally. He can blame it all on the strikers just like he blamed the failure of TW on similar events. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I am kidding, that was a highly selfish, stupid move that surely antagonized a lot of his peers. Jensen needs to start taking reponsibility for his actions instead of constantly playing this blame shifting game that makes him lose credibility and, most importantly, trust of his buyers.

If CMP’s deal is with Amazon, why is the show being shopped to Netflix? Does that mean Amazon already passed on it, or is it a licensing issue given that WB is still involved?

Link. Because CMP is not developing the reboot, they're kicking in some money so that Danneel will have a role and some say in the direction of her character. The only way Amazon can produce the reboot is if Amazon buys the license rights from WB.

CMP's deal with Amazon is to technically develop projects. I say technically because the deal is actually another avenue to pay Jensen a retainer fee for acting projects instead of offering an actual holding deal. Basically, Amazon will pay Jensen for his acting through Chaos Machine Productions. As far as I know, CMP is not one of the producers of the Countdown.

So... one word question: Thoughts?

Okay. Here's my thoughts: Jensen is still pushing the heavy family man image precisely because of his deal with Amazon through CMP. Danneel is a part of CMP and so until their deal expires at the end of this year (and I haven't seen nor heard of about it being renewed, especially given as they haven't come up with anything for Amazon to produce).

I think Jensen is just holding onto that narrative. He thinks it helps give him business (not really; Hollywood doesn't care about 'happily married men', in my opinion). It may help, I guess, with fans, but... they're obsessive and a tad creepy to be honest.

Anyway. I don't think it's genuine, at least the Danneel part. The children part? Absolutely. At least with JJ, his firstborn.

Oh, there's the needle-mover news.

Couple of things to note:

the first-look deal with WBD was renewed/extended for 2 years. They exited the extension and took a first look deal with Amazon

"any projects Chaos Machine had in development with their now former studio home remain in the works" -- I'm assuming this is for CMP to continue to produce the spn 'verse shows. No idea if it pertains to the mysterious DC project Jensen was doing with Berlanti or what's becoming of that, but that could be covered under existing WBD projects along with spn. But going forward, looks like CMP development's going to be for Amazon Prime and holding onto the WBD remnants just for spn. I am just guessing.

The deal pertains to acting and producing not just producing

You mean that same Amazon deal that's nearly expired and hasn't given Jensen or CMP a job? Trust me, Jensen could have taken other jobs if they were offered (besides golf ads). No actor wants to sit around for a year waiting for a studio to give them a job or greenlight a production, and there was no indication in the press releases about it being an exclusive holding deal. First-look deals are just that, Amazon gets first look of anything CMP produces (likely with Jensen starring). If Amazon doesn't want it, they can go to other studios. Nothing about that says Jensen, as an actor, is exclusive to Amazon.

And if your curious why J&J would say that the Amazon deal is what's keeping Jensen off of Walker... well... what else are they going to say? That Walker doesn't want Jensen on the show? That Jensen doesn't want to do Walker? Neither of those options offer the best look for either J. So, they blame the big bad studio. It's really the only option.

do i think spnwin will find a new home? hopefully; and its a silver lining bc the see double ew doesnt deserve them and also is too tame for what spn stories could be; we know CMP has a deal with amazon but warner bros also owns hbo max so maybe thats a better shot. but even if no one picks it up for another season jensen deangirl ackles wont let Dean's story go unfinished, even if the prequel characters dont get another shot i think we will see another spn series (reboot, mini series, whatever) in the coming years and thats where we'll see cas and much of our found family again.
