Marry my husband
Differences between the manhwa and kdrama I noticed:
(Or like more fun facts about the comic)
Tw: death, attempted murder, suicide
Minwhan dies in a car accident. He messed with his car on purpose trying to get Sumin killed the next day (I think they were supposed to go on vacation) but he's suddenly called to go to the hospital to his dying mother and he drives there drunk without brakes and ends up in a river
His mother had like a heart attack or something during a fight with Sumin in which she walked out and left her mother in law to be found by her husband hours later (or the next day I'm not sure) she then pretended to take care for her in the hospital while she actually just worsened her condition to get rid of her so she wouldn't talk and bc she's was a bitch (ps for some reason she couldn't talk while she was in the hospital)
Sumin was arrested for killing her mil
At Minwhan's and his mom's funeral the father was the one who blamed Jiwon
Jihyeok wasn't engaged
After Jiwon's funeral Jihyeok took a taxi (her dad was the driver) and asked to go in the middle of a bridge. He then walked into the water and that was how he died instead of a car crash like the series
At the end they adopt a little girl whose mom died in the hospital Jiwon was (the boss? Manager? Someone important I don't remember, did she make the hospital? For cancer patients?)
Mr Lee was younger than Juran and that's why she kept rejecting him after he had asked her out many times since she believed he should get married with a younger woman
He wasn't actually her lawyer but his brother. He was the youngest brother of... a big family I think and he made a contract (?) With his parents that it was OK if he didn't got married. Also something about the inheritance I think
Juran actually caught her husband with his girlfriend on the bed when she called the police
Her husband later tried to kidnap Yeonji
Eunho actually worked in a nearby Cafe. He kept an extra sweet for Jiwon everyday but she never came to eat it
Huiyeon however ate it. And they slowly fell in love
Huiyeon calls Eunho "Coco"
Eunho didn't participate in the meal kit like he did in the series
Ps it's been a while since I read the comic and most of these were thoughts I had while watching the kdrama
Also while writing this I was also checking their names' spelling and came across this
Tumblr media
Um ok apparently Yura existed (just not in the comic?) And
Well I guess the novel was more different than I thought
Perhaps I should read it

Tumblr media
Here's a fairly solid amount of all the different kinds of media that I think both can fit well in and could share the same universe as one of the top five greatest superhero movies ever made, Brad Bird's The Incredibles, which you can both read and see below for yourself:
Tumblr media
• Gore Verbinski's Mouse Hunt, The Ring (2002), the Pirates Of The Caribbean Trilogy & Rango
• Jon Turteltaub's National Treasure Duology
• Andrew Davis' Holes (2003)
• David Lowery's Pete's Dragon (2016)
• Jack Clayton's Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983)
• Steven Lisberger's Tron (1982)
• Joseph Kosinski's Tron: Legacy
• Lee Unkrich & Alfred Molina's Coco (2017)
• Jared Bush & Byron Howard's Encanto (2021)
• Michael Dougherty's Trick r Treat & Krampus
• Mark Waters' The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008)
• Scott Cooper's Antlers (2021)
• Jeff Kline's Transformers: Prime & Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising
• Dan Angel & Billy Brown's R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series (every episode of the entire series except for five shitty episodes - Red Eye, Poof De Fromage, Bad Egg, Mrs. Worthington & Lotsa Luck)
• Dan Cross & David Hoge's Pair Of Kings
• Dean Parisot's Galaxy Quest (1999)
• Stephen Sommers' The Jungle Book (1994) & The Mummy (1999)
• Gareth Carrivick's Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel
• Colin Trevorrow's Safety Not Guaranteed
• HBO's Tales From The Crypt (The Man Who Was Death, And All Through The House, Dig That Cat... He's Real Gone, Only Sin Deep, Lover Come Hack To Me, Cutting Cards, The Thing From The Grave, The Sacrifice, For Cryin' Out Loud, Four-Sided Triangle, Judy, You're Not Yourself Today, Fitting Punishment, Lower Berth, Mute Witness To Murder, Television Terror, Abra Cadaver, Top Billing, Easel Kill Ya, Undertaking Palor, Deadline, Yellow, None But The Lonely Heart, On A Deadman's Chest, Beauty Rest, What's Cookin', The New Arrival, Showdown, King Of The Road, Maniac At Large, Split Personality, Strung Along, Forever Ambergris, People Who Live In Brass Hearses, Two For The Show, Well Cooked Hams, Came The Dawn, Half-Way Horrible, Only Skin Deep, The Bribe, The Assassin, Staired In Horror, Surprise Party, You, Murderer, Fatal Caper, Escape, Horror In The Night, Cold War, The Kidnapper, Report From The Grave & Confession)
• Quentin Tarantino's Tarantinoverse
• Robert Rodriguez's Rodriguezverse
• Kevin Smith's View Askewniverse
• Steven Spielberg's The Adventures Of Tintin (2011)
&
• John Carpenter's Big Trouble In Little China
In the world of The Incredibles, as long as everything remains somewhat grounded or grounded to a certain degree, pretty much anything can happen ranging from action, drama, comedy, romance, horror and adventure.

No Hope Kids - Chapter One
Dimensional Divide - Part One
Meilin Lee refused to hide the panda. Her mother could not accept this. Unfortunately, they picked the wrong dimension to have family issues in.
This is the first part of Chapter 1! I will release this in 5 parts: Mei's perspective, Riley's perspective, Miguel's perspective, Hiro's perspective, and then back to Mei's perspective for the end chapter.
This has not been beta'd, there could be errors or icky bits. If you notice something lmk, but plz be nice :3
Some disclaimers: I have not seen inside out 2, and I haven’t watched coco or big hero six for a long time. All of this is based on a couple clips I rewatched, the bad end friends lore, and like 3 hope kids Tik toks.
TAGS + WARNINGS - This is a Bad End au. There will be mentions of blood, bloodlust and consumption of blood, death. While I am unsure, the description of Mei's panda transformation could be triggering as it is somewhat descriptive. Be advised, keep yourself safe and sane. I can't think of any other tags to add I am rlly bad at tagging but lmk if there is something I should add (will use when I post on ao3)
word count: 848
I am petty and crave attention so everyone who reblogged my master post/showed any interest gets tagged (dm if you want removed): @zahursreign, @cupcakewithsunglasses, @montrealz
Without further Ado, I hope you enjoy the first chapter (under the cut)
“Oh no… mom,”
“Mom?”
“Mom! You have to get in the circle!”
“Mom! Where are you?”
Meilin Lee had been ripped back into the spirit realm. However, it wasn’t the same as when she did the ritual earlier. It was dark; a blood red sky engulfing them. Most of the bamboo had been brazenly cut down, and the ground seemed dry and dead. Meilin could feel it- in the air, in the grass, in herself- something was terribly wrong.
“Mom! We’re running out of time, you have to do the ritual!” She screamed into the vast bamboo void that made up their ancestral plane. She cupped her hands to her mouth trying to make her mother hear her. However she felt something soft when her thumb grazed her face. Soft fur. She looked down and found large fuzzy red claws where her hands would be. They slowly blended into human arms. Her legs did the same. she reached up to feel her human ears missing and her panda ears atop her head, alongside her tail. She was used to combining her features before, but they weren't like this. They didn’t blend, they didn't hurt.
“We have to go! We have to do the ritual!”
She ran as fast as she could- narrowly dodging pillars of grayed-out and chopped down bamboo. Her voice grew hoarse as she searched for her mom.
“Mei,” a faint whisper called to her. She slid to a stop, running into a pole.
“My daughter…” it called again. Mei Mei darted in the direction she heard it from. A slight breeze carried the scent trail of her mother and guided her towards salvation.
“I’m coming mom!”
She saw a dark red glow in a clearing up ahead. ‘It must be her’ she thought. It was- but not what she wanted to see. Her mother lied on the ground- only half of her body tangible. The rest seemed to be melting into a mirrored puddle on the ground. On the other side was a reflection of her mother’s younger self- staring longingly into the distance. She was heaving on the ground, disheveled like she had never seen before. It dawned on her just now- The only times she had truly seen her mother weak was seeing her past, and right now.
“Mei Mei… it doesn’t make sense. I won’t make sense of you. But maybe it’s because I never made sense of myself. I want to say you should find me. Yet I fear that it’s better if you don’t. If you do…” she paused, more and more of her melting by the second. Mei Mei fell to her knees, desperately trying to grab her mother’s hand but it kept slipping through her fingers. “If you do; come as you are. I will just have to learn. I will accept you, Meilin.” With that, her whole body melted into the ground.
“M-mom… no,” the heat stung harshly at her eyes. It welled in her body, just as It had when she first shifted. It consumed her in red, pumping her veins with grief and the ichor accumulated over thousands of years of this spiritual curse.
This shift was painful. Each new growth of a hair felt like a needle digging itself out of her skin. Her teeth grew wild and sharp stretching her gums in a gruesome malformed manner. At this point her eyes had been rendered useless- all she could see was a black yet blood red haze and the crying eyes of her mother’s spirit.
She screamed. It rang throughout the vast realities.
When she opened her eyes she found herself back at the stadium. Something was off again- something was terribly wrong. It was now raining and thundering- the elements colliding to shine an almost iridescent sheen over the venue. The first incorrect thing was right behind her. The still body of Mr. Gao, soaked in that horrible, horrible red that consumed her mind, veins, and soul. Her father was on his knees, clutching her grandmothers hands as she mourned the lost of her loved ones. Mei’s aunties were nowhere to be seen- but her friends were there, sprinting towards her.
“Mei Mei! Are you ok?” Miriam ran up, clutching her fur. They both knew something in Mei Mei had changed. “You’re different. Your bigger. Your- ah it doesn’t matter, what about your mom.”
What was she supposed to say? Tell her closest friends she killed her?
“I- she-“
A flash the size of the sun quickly illuminated the sky, accompanied by a thundering crack of lighting. It painted the sky in abstract assortment of colors and lights. With it came something. At first they were just small little dots; 3 to be exact, a white one, a yellow one, and a blue one. Quickly though they expanded into something. Like rips in the fabric of reality. As they expanded everyone could hear it- screams of terror, sobbing, laughter and nonsensical yelling coming from everywhere yet nowhere at all. Meilin and her friends all gripped each other as the worlds seem to collide.

Oh fuck I’m listening to the Stephanie Soo podcast about the death of Coco Lee, and the part about the literal direct attack against her disability and removal of accommodation to cause direct harm and humiliation to prove that they have the power.
It’s like. Literally terrifying hearing about a millionaire pop icon going through the same ableist abuse that I struggled with at like. A fucking grocery store. Shit. People in power are people in power. And they’re all gonna take your chair/cane/support away and laugh when you fall down. Shit.

ORIENTATION.
Despite his family’s confusing ban on music, Miguel’s heart beats to the rhythm of his dreams. 🎶 Inspired by the legendary Ernesto de la Cruz, he’s determined to prove his musical talent. When a series of mysterious events transports him to a vibrant and magical afterlife, Miguel teams up with the charismatic Hector, and together they embark on an unforgettable adventure. Through twists and turns, they uncover the truth behind his family’s past, changing everything Miguel thought he knew.
INTERPRETATION.
Coco is more than just a family film – it’s a heartfelt journey into the importance of family, tradition, and culture. With a touching message about strong family bonds and respect for ancestral heritage, it shows how universal these values are, even connecting to cultures like ours in Indonesia. Miguel's story of chasing his dreams despite his family’s opposition reminds us to follow our hearts and persevere. Beyond its beautiful story, *Coco* introduces us to the vibrant celebration of *Dia de Muertos* , allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of Mexican culture while showing how traditions shape our lives. A must-watch for all!
SUMMARY.
"Coco" takes us on an extraordinary journey into the colorful world of the Land of the Dead, where the importance of family, music, and remembering our ancestors come together in a beautiful symphony of emotions. The film follows Miguel, a young boy with a deep passion for music, which clashes with his family's long-standing ban on anything musical due to a painful event in their past. Determined to prove his love for music, Miguel embarks on an unexpected adventure to discover his great-great-grandfather's legacy as a famous musician.
During Dia de los Muertos, Miguel’s journey to the Land of the Dead is not just a magical one filled with vibrant marigold petals, festive spirits, and heartwarming characters like the mischievous Hector and the radiant Mama Imelda—it's a heart-pounding race against time to find his way back to the living. Along the way, Miguel learns about family bonds, love, and forgiveness, while uncovering secrets about his ancestors.
What makes "Coco" so captivating is its celebration of Mexican culture, particularly the significance of honoring the memory of those who came before us. In a tear-jerking moment, we understand that true death occurs when we are forgotten. The power of "Coco" lies in its message: even though time may pass, and people may leave us physically, as long as we remember and cherish them, they remain alive in our hearts.
The film’s soulful soundtrack, led by "Remember Me," adds layers of emotion to this touching tale about following your dreams without losing sight of where you come from. "Coco" is a reminder that family is not just the past, but the bridge that carries us forward into the future. It's a story about the love that transcends lifetimes, and how the memories we create become the legacy we leave behind.
