Just one of the many great tragedies of Mishanks' relationship is that sometimes Shanks wants to feel wanted just as he is, that even beyond the strength he is worth the effort he is worth being loved and unfortunately that just isn't something Mihawk can offer him it's just not something he can do, not as he is now at least. That's a level of emotional maturity that he just does not possess to be able to disentangle the strength from the man that makes no sense to him. Strength is all there is. Shanks is a person, has a life outside of his strength, his power is just another aspect of who he is but for Mihawk strength is his whole person, if he is not strong then he is nothing. If shanks is not strong well then....he's nothing to him.

And God that's a lonely way to live.

RAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!! *Knuckles slams into Bark from behind, throwing him onto the ground. Sonic is successfully dislodged from Bark's grasp, but only after he hits his head on the pavement. Hard. Knuckles moves to punch Bark in the head, but Bark rolls over, grabbing his arm. He gives him an evil grin and tosses him backward, sending Knuckles flying into the pool*

*Bark has Sonic in a headlock. He closes his eyes, remembering the homey flavors of hot chocolate, spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon, and Pozharsky. He licks his lips just thinking about it. He opens his eyes, startled as you pat his head. But then he melts into it, closing his eyes again and ever so slightly leaning into your hand. His fur is very soft and well-kept. Sonic is still struggling in his grip, but Bark is too busy getting headpats to care*

it’s that time of year!!! snoopy and i are watching a charlie brown christmas (i watch it multiple times a week) and drinking cocoa in our snoopy mug!! the best part is that the cocoa we are drinking is snoopy’s s’mores cocoa!! we hope you all have a restful final weeks of school if you’re in it, and a great holiday season!!! <333
