Kazuma's personal theme.
"'Something elegant but emotional...but also elegant...' was the request. This piece tries to capture Kazuma's inner strength and movingly gallant character. If you listen carefully, you may even feel the keen edge of Karuma perhaps...?"

STAGE 69: The Ace Attorney Series
Originally released for the Nintendo GameBoy Advanced in Japan in 2001, The Ace attorney series was well received by critics and gamers alike with Capcom even crediting the series with helping to popularized the visual novel genre to Western audiences when it debuted for the Nintendo DS in 2005.
Created by writer and director Shu Takumi and originally conceived as a trilogy, The Ace attorney franchise has become one of Capcom’s most strongest and popular current intellectual properties to date.
After the initial 3 games were ported to the DS, The series would gain longevity afterwards when Takeshi Yamazaki took over the reigns of the series for future sequels and spin-offs.
The initial games would focus on the titular main character of the series Defense attorney Phoenix Wright and mentor Mia Fey and would later introduce Mia’s younger sister Maya into the fold after Mia’s unfortunate murder.
The series subsequent sequels would introduce more characters like Phoenix’s understudies Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes, All who are then given the challenging task of investigating various court cases in order to defend their clients by Finding the truth as they cross-examine various witnesses through each case and spotting inconsistencies between the testimonies and the evidence they have collected.
Later spinoffs would have the players take control of prosecutor Miles Wedgeworth, Phoenix’s rival at the time and later Ryūnosuke Naruhodō, phoenix’s ancestor: Further expanding the world of the Ace Attorney series and its characters, resulting in it being such a beloved series both critically and commercially that various adaptations such as a live action film an anime, manga , drama CDs, musicals and stage plays have been produced as a result.
with that being said we here at the Nostalgia Road Trip Network think that the greatest aspect of the series is its Music. SO, with that out of the way it’s time to gather your evidence as we cross examine these amazing tracks in this stage of the Retro VGM Revival Hour as we cover the ACE ATTORNEY SERIES!

Getting to Know You Meme!
I was tagged by @redangelx3 for this thing, so let’s do it!
Name: Jeremy. Not much beyond that unless my friends are feeling lazy.
Height: Limbo zone between 5′4″ and 5′5″ as of now.
Hogwarts House: Forever a Ravenclaw.
Go-to-SSB4 character: Been a while since I last played smash but the trio of Cloud/Dark Pit/Marth was my crew.
Fictional Character I’d date: Yellow from the Pokemon Adventures manga (also known as Amarillo del Bosque Verde). My favorite character, period. Kind, caring, nature-loving, and actually magical. Seconds would be Ema Skye (Ace Attorney) and Natalia Luzu Kimlasca-Lanvaldear (Tales of the Abyss).
Favorite Band/Artist: Tricky one since most of the music I listen to comes from video games or Youtubers. I’d love to heap praise onto all the composers for the Ace Attorney franchise (Especially Yasumasa Kitagawa and Hiromitsu Maeba, the guys who did DGS), but for this I’ll say Enter the Haggis. Classical Celtic music and Celtic rock are one of the few thing I branch out to.
When did I make this blog?: Originally it was made around 2014, then abandoned for a while until I became active again in August 2016 to see friend’s posts.
How many blogs I follow: 167, mostly video games/anime/nature/animal blogs.
Do I get asks often?: what is this “ask” of which you speak
Aesthetic: Uhhhhhh....This one’s rather tricky, since I’m not quite caught up on what the new definition of aesthetic is, but I’ll just go with things that I generally find pleasing. Nature’s the big one, especially the further away I am from the sun. Seeing fall foliage and snow-covered trees around my state is a privilege I’m glad to have, especially since I live right in the middle of a Maine forest. Also big on ascending mountains to get a wider view of the landscape, or looking up at the stars on a clear night, or feeling the breeze in the summer, or the harsh coastal rain...All of it, really. Seals, cats, and birds are next. I’ve got a couple dozen plushes of all of them stockpiled from years of collecting, not to mention that the real things are adorable (Or often majestic, especially those birds). Rest I can think of off the top of my head would be books, modern architecture, eastern cultures (especially Japan), writing, comics, the like.
For this last part I’m supposed to tag 20 followers that I’d like to get to know better...except I have 22 and a good chunk are porn bots. So I’ll just go with the mutuals who I’d like to get to know better. @togekiss-clouds, @tjsbin, @zaplayden, @karnilla74, and @petalpetal (also continue to stay good friends with @baby-goalie-skaps that’d be cool).
Have a good day, everyone!

Scrapped version of Kazuma's personal theme.
"Mr Takumi and Mr Nuri pointed out this version sounded like something you might hear at the public baths in a ryokan hotel. Come to think of it, it does sound kind of generic, like the mood music at a public baths chain. So it had to go!"
- Maeba

Scrapped version of start of trial theme
"I initially began composing this without looking at any visuals from this title, drawing on the music of the very first Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney game. But the solemn majesty of the in-game graphics meant it wasn't a good fit, so, yup, it was dropped!"

La Carneval flashback theme from start of game
"'What's going to happen now? It's a new case. It's a serious new case!' ...That's really the idea that waxes and wanes throughout this piece."

RETRO VGM REVIVAL HOUR - STAGE 64: DEVIL MAY CRY
A game that was originally conceived in 1999 as a sequel to Resident Evil 3, this idea was eventually changed Due to the staff and more importantly the games director Hideki Kamiya seeing that it would not fit the Resident Evil franchise, the devil may cry series, its characters and its other sequels are still among one of capcoms most popular franchises.
