PLEADBR)#originally my idea was for nene to be biting a medal i was very sold on it bc i love nenes competitive side #however her outfit is so nice i want it to also be part of the art .. its heavily inspired by that one iconic eunsoo lim dress #from her somewhere in time program iirc. im really undatisfied with emus dress tbh my origimal idea was to give it a phoenix look #but a lot of the firebird/phoenix skating programs have very sleek dresses and i want emus to be fluffy. the balance is hard ..#and since i want her program song to be once upon a dream from sleeping beauty i swerved to make it look a bit like auroras ? but again #it definitely feels like the weakest of everybodys ... maybe i just love her too much and want her to look the best. sorry wxs.#tsukasas outfit is supposed to look like a shooting star. easy. program music moonlight sonata 3rd movement like from dazzling light. easy.#actually i like takahashi daisukes moonlight sonata program its a medley of the 1st and 3rd movement.. i think the calm at the beginning #is best. maybe smth like that.. for his card inhad him doing a haircutter spin but again. the outfits good i want the outfit visible. damn.#ruis the one im very set on even now. girl why are you so phantom of the opera.#it has a lot of beautiful programs to reference but the outfit i didnt really have any solid reference i kind of just balled #my main idea was to make it look a bit like both christine and the phantom.... gender Fluid.#my yapfest... i should be SEWING!!!!!!!!#despite my yapping im not that well versed in figure skating i cant really distinguish jumps i just like it . and medalist #i only do normal skating. bc i played hockey for like 7 years LOLLLL inlove skating though Heart.

I started this piece shortly after I got home from LBX where one of the pieces of feedback I got was to take more time planning my piece and to not get attached to one composition before you've had the chance to try a few iterations of the idea.

So I really, really took my time working out a few drafts before I settled on the one that eventually became this piece and dear god that took so long. I spent nearly 2 weeks on JUST drafts. I normally only spend 2 days max planning a piece and that usually just involves moving things around and resizing things to try and get a good composition. This time I completely nuked my sketches (not actually, just hid them so I had a blank canvas) and tried completely different compositions. I also (for once) did some color tests before starting my final piece (my color composition can still use some work fkdslkfs). But also, this concept was just very difficult to execute because I really, really wanted to include music in the piece because it was my favorite part of the game, but it's also really, really difficult to work it into the piece in a way that looks good.

All in all, a good exercise and I'm pretty happy with how the piece came out! With time I will eventually make a habit of spending more time on the planning stage of my illustrations rather than just plowing through the first idea I have hehe

The most brilliant and impressive thing Ryan Coogler did in my opinion was figure out how to communicate to the audience the actual tangible power of Sammie’s music, so we could truly conceptualize what it was that Remmick wanted and what he threatened to take away.

#tell me that you didn’t get chills or catch your breath or have some other physical reaction seeing The Scene #me personally? I cry. each time I see it. because it’s that powerful #the cinematography of one continuous shot and the dancers and musicians keep coming out #and the composition and soundscape holy shit #it’s alive and magic and I feel such a WANT to be there. to feel the music in person #and so it’s one thing to know the lore and conceptually understand the power Sammie possesses. it’s another to be able to feel it.#being able to bridge that gap of communication and make the audience feel the power too? that’s the most impressive thing Coogler did #and I know it took an incredible team that worked together. it took the writing composing acting everyone to be in synch #pulling that communication off. and then showing a villain who wants to take it all away?#it makes us understand and despise Remmick even more. because of course he wants this power. we the audience know the allure #but we also know how important it is to the community. how awful the loss would be #and how despicable it is that Remmick wants to take the power away for himself #being able to tangibly understand what the loss of Sammie would mean beyond the immediate character impact? my god #I’ll never shut up about this film #sinners #sinners 2025 #sinners (2025)#ryan coogler #my post #sinners analysis

A little 15 min doodle but first post of the year has to be Bingqiu!

#hoot art #ok its time to get mushy in the tags because I doubt anyone would read them too closely #I’ve had severe art block for YEARS before I got into danmei in 2024 #and it wasn’t that my skill was gone it’s just that I thought nothing I did was good enough #I started reading danmei around the summer of last year and I got SO INSPIRED #I dived into the fandom side of things (I haven’t been in a live fandom in years) and was so excited about all the art people were making #and writing! and music! and animatics!#everything was so bright and colorful and beautiful #and everyone had such cool designs for these book characters that I’d grown to love #so I took a chance and doodled a little Luo Binghe and posted him on here #and I was so taken aback by how welcoming and sweet the fandom was #it made me wanna keep taking chances and posting my art— because I think that’s one of the hardest things I’ve come to accept #that even if it’s not good enough for me #someone else may enjoy it #and ain’t it crazy that ive come to enjoy drawing again too #sure the interaction has been fun but it’s been even more fun experimenting with my style and experimenting with colors and rendering #and grayscale and angles #and composition and expressions #ahh!! art is so fun!! So... I wrote a waltz based on Good Omens!

Hiya!

I've recently composed my own original composition called Vellichor (a waltz in F# major with a tiny bit of cheeky F# minor on the side), based on the ineffable husbands! I had no one I felt I could share it with, really, so I thought I'd post it online, instead. Perhaps someone out there might like it, right? That's what I thought (read: hoped) anyway.

If you don't: that's all right, too. Can hardly force you to do something you don't want to do, can I? It's not the end of the world (though Armageddon does seem to be inevitable in Good Omens...!)
