ive noticed that Pyro is an element that's typically given to those who value family above all. some used to believe that pyro was given to those who had deep passion or were fun-loving, the latter being disproven by arlechinno, but could still be an interesting concept to delve into. but right now I wanna focus on the devotion to family, specifically what that means for diluc. diluc was awarded a vision young, maybe around twelve years old. as we all know, he had a pretty happy family at twelve years old, a little brother and loving father who had inbued in him a sense of responsibility and adoration for his family, especially given that he was the heir and eldest son, so he naturally would one day be the head of the family most likely. I wonder if diluc looks at his vision now and thinks that it's no longer his, that it was gifted to a kind, loving version of him that no longer exists, that he stopped owning his vision the night he had to turn it on both his father and brother. maybe that's why he left it behind, because believed he was no longer worthy, no longer represented the fierce love that was pyro. this also of course adds a whole new meaning to kaeya being the one to gift his vision back to him, a subtle (or not so subtle, given that vision holders are known to face negative effects when separated from their visions and i doubt that diluc avoided that just because he left it willingly) way of telling him that his family still loved him, and that part of him isn't dead just because he made a mistake in his grief, no matter how horrible it was. that diluc was still worthy of family and the warmth that came with it

Its name translates to "early strike," in reference to a martial concept of attack opportunities and its overall combat role. Deployed to disrupt enemy movements in small squadrons as a peripheral force to larger Jittai operations and other large consolidated forces, these "N-Interceptors" are semi-independent operators with the capacity to wipe out armored columns if left unchecked. To that end, their designs are sleek, fast, and heavily armed, using sprayed-maglev propulsion to either fix themselves to low gravity terrain or levitate them off of moderate to high gravity terrain. Havoc Lore | Whirl 🚁

Let me tell y'alls the story of how Havoc and Whirl first met because I've never even talked about it here and it's so important for literally the entire ship. The entire reason why Havoc even cares about Whirl's stupid ass in the first place and I don't even tell people about it. For shame.

Let us go back to the olden times, before the war, when the Functionist Council was at its peak. Havoc back then was little more than a war machine, made to fight and protect. Existing only to live each day under strict military rules, training for combat day in and out, waiting for orders to send her to kick whoever's ass she was told to kick, not asking questions. And she always hated it, she always hated violence, but nobody has a choice.

Until she heard rumors of a bot who actually managed to change professions, and curiosity got the better of her. She had to know if it was true, if there was a way. So the next time she had a day off, she went to seek him out and see if it was real. Which is how she showed up at Whirl's shop one day, and worked up the courage to ask him if he really did that, and ask how, and he just sort of... he tried to help her.

He was definitely apprehensive at first when this large military combat bot walked in the door, but once he realized what she wanted, he understood, and he tried. He told her how he did it. He even offered to let her try to be his apprentice if she could get it approved (she didn't want to be a medic then, she just wanted to be not a soldier. She didn't have anything specific in mind). He let her help him fix a clock to see if she could do it with her big hands, which was difficult, but she was determined to figure it out. He let her keep it once it was done. She still has it after nearly 5 million years. It was the first time in her life someone gave her hope.

She went back a few days later, request papers she'd drafted in her hands, hoping he'd read over them and help her with wording because she's not very good at that. But he was gone, and the building was in shambles. She never saw him again and didn't know what happened to him. It reinforced the idea that you cannot change what you are meant to be, and she never dared to try again for MANY years, until long into the war, after Mayhem's death finally gave her the necessary determination.

Havoc's little pocket watch is so special to me actually. She's been carrying it around in her subspace for millions of years because it's a reminder of the only time in her life when she ever had hope. It doesn't work anymore because it's been a LONG time but she gets it fixed eventually (i like to think he helps her fix it once they grow a bit closer). Also i need him to find out she still has it bc oughh

Havoc doesn't find out what happened to Whirl until she gets stationed at the Lost Light and he's there too. He recognizes her immediately - Havoc doesn't at first, because of how much he's changed, but once she does she's rightfully horrified. And that's where the protective instinct comes from (however much he hates acknowledging it).

She knows he's not the same guy anymore. But even though she only knew him for a day, he's made such a strong impact on her life that she was never able to forget him. His watch was the thing she held onto during her darkest times, his words were what she repeated in her mind. He's not the same guy anymore, but at the same time he is, and Havoc can't keep herself from feeling attached to him. He's special. He's always been special. Even though now he's, you know, like that.

He doesn't know just how important that one meeting was to her (and he doesn't even find out that she still has the watch until far later), but Havoc doesn't need him to, and she doesn't need her feelings to be returned. She understands he's not the type to be into all that kinda stuff. She's not pushy (her respecting his space is what makes him eventually come around to the idea, far, far later). She owes him more than she could ever put into words, and just wants to repay him for it, so she takes care of him, no matter how many times he winds up in the med bay because he picked another fight (and yeah, she scolds him about it every time he shows up wounded again, but everyone can tell she's soft on him).

More Mastermind Takaaki stuff. This is like, post everything. After he's had revenge and shit. (This is also in clone Taka's P.O.V.) The person that helped me with some of the story (@artz16) talked about maybe having Takaaki ask (kidnap) Kazuichi to make a cloning machine to bring back all the students that died. Including Hifumi and Celeste (who has personal business with.) And like, it can make some good ass angst.

Just Taka trying to grasp everything, trying to just process what he's just…woken up to. He's not really himself and he's terrified of the man his father became. His father murdered and harmed others to just have some sort of vengeance for him. The sheer insanity that his father was overcome with. And most of all, he joined those who started all of this. The reason him and others have died. He's terrified of his father, scared of his actions. His behavior. His murder spree. He doesn't know what to do, his father has gone absolutely mad. But he can't just leave him. He doesn't know what he's capable of.

And Takaaki, he's completely fucked up. He's so happy to have his son back. But he just notices the look of absolute fear in his son's face. Then the realization just hits him like a bunch of bricks. That he's killed people. He killed, he hurt, he manipulated, etc. All just for one goal. And it just fucks him up completely and eats away at him. And the fact he scared his son. That he's scared many of the people he cared for all because of his actions. It just echoes in his brain. But he couldn't help it and he can't just stop. He can't turn back time. He did the damage. And that's it. But he's terrified of himself and the fact he could hurt Taka as he did to those who stuck by him.

He wonders if Taka hates him.

Ifot's ais were programmed with a need to care for humans, kinda similar to how in portal glados is programmed to feel good when she does tests. They come to find that keeping mimics alive does the same, albeit to a much lesser degree, which is why they give Forrest special treatment but not so much Benni. However this "don't harm humans" sentiment doesn't discourage them from trying to convince Forrest to give them complete control over him. I had a dream that i was watching joe biden give a speech and it was really obvious that he was just reading directly off of cue cards that were written by a member of his campaign team and not him. And the things he was saying were all full of memes and references bc it was trying to appeal to young people but the memes were all outdated by at least 6 months and biden clearly had no idea what any of it meant. In this dream world i guess using the word “vampires” as like a adjective used to be a meme. When something was “vampires” it had erotic gay subtext, i guess, which actually makes a lot of sense but anyway. So biden had one part of his speech where he was talking about him and his friends in a sauna, and he was trying to allude to the idea that he had regular gay sexual encounters, but he didnt want to say that because he didnt really, and he couldnt come right out and blatantly lie.
