Benefits of Drinking Fennel Water for the Skin
Here are the benefits of drinking fennel water for the skin
Tumblr media
Glowing skin:
Fennel seeds serve your skin by providing various vitamins, which in turn give you younger-looking skin. Fennel tea, when consumed on a daily basis, helps in improving the overall texture of the skin as it treats acne and makes your skin look flawless and glowing.
Therapeutic for women:
Fennel is a good source of potassium, Vitamin C, iron, and folic acid, which cuts the risk of anaemia and other immunity issues associated with women. Having a fennel-based tea twice a day on a regular basis can improve breast milk production in nursing mothers apart from cleaning out accumulated toxins from the body.
Reduce Water Retention:
Drinking fennel a cup of fennel tea on a daily basis helps in flushing out the excess fluids from the body. Simultaneously, fennel seed helps remove toxins and reduces the risk of urinary tract problems.
Helps Regulate Blood Pressure:
According to a study, chewing a handful of fennel seeds helps to increase the nitrite content in saliva, making it a great natural way to keep a check on blood pressure. Other than this, they are a rich source of potassium and help to control your heart rate and blood pressure.
For wrinkled skin:
The powerful anti-ageing properties in the fennel seeds help to keep wrinkles at bay. Antioxidants in fennel seeds fight off free radical scavengers that guzzle the oxygen out of healthy skin cells.
Great for Acne:
Consuming fennel seeds on a regular basis provides the body with valuable minerals like calcium, zinc, and selenium. When consumed regularly, fennel seeds have a cooling effect on the skin, resulting in more glow and less acne.
Keeps Cancer Away:
The seeds have potent chemo modulatory effects and are very rich in free radical properties that help to protect the body from various cancers of the skin, stomach and breasts.

Trafalgar Law and Faith
Pre-emptive warning this is going to be another LONG metapost/analysis. There’s a lot I could talk about here but for the sake of structure I’m going to split this into three sections, i.e. the main ‘faith transitions’ that Law has gone through in the narrative thus far: 1. Flevance (catalyst for loss of religious faith), 2. Corasan (martyr that figuratively and literally saves law by giving him something to live for, introducing the will of D.), and 3. Luffy (cementing faith in this new belief system and regaining trust in the goodness of humanity through the living embodiment of everything Corasan believed in).
Before we get into all that though, let’s establish that Christianity is a thing in one piece. Speedrunning through some visual examples that come to mind; the Flevance church and nun (holding a celtic cross - censored in the anime version), a nun literally praying to God right before Marineford, Vinsmoke Sora’s grave marked with a cross (is op Christianity a northern thing?), Usopp and Chopper having crucifixes and holy water whenever ghostly stuff is brought up, Kuma and his trusty bible, the religious symbols on Kikoku’s hilt (could instead be more a reference to the Red Cross/symbol of humanitarian and medical aid as a doctor) and especially in whatever Mihawk’s got going on (though this could just be a Japanese cultural thing with Christianity being a minority religion or Oda just finding that some of the iconography, y’know. looks cool). There are also many other references to other religions e.g. hinduism, shintoism, buddhism, etc. Whether op forms of religion are the same as the real-world ones is debatable, and yes, Law being canonically raised as a devout catholic schoolboy with all the religious trauma associated with that is comical, but let’s take it all unironically for a hot minute. For fun.
1. Flevance
Law’s birthplace (Flevance) is described as being, at one point, “a very wealthy country with an unearthly beauty about it, with pure white soil and plants, like some kind of snow kingdom in a fairy tale.” The country’s wealth came from the very bedrock it sits on — white lead, which could be used to make various high quality products like tableware, cosmetics, weapons etc. When the wider world heard about this everyone wanted a piece of Flevance (the World Government also getting involved with distribution), and very quickly white lead became a “bottomless well of money”. So, hooray. Law gets to grow up in a rich city in a big house with educated doctor parents and probably gets to go to private school on weekdays and festivals with his family on weekends. One problem. In their greed, the Government and royalty have been knowingly hiding the truth about this supposed goldmine from the beginning. White lead is a toxic poison. Mining it from the ground over the last century and putting it in so many everyday products has resulted in it accumulating in the citizens’ bodies and leading to amber lead sickness, shortening their life-span with each successive generation – with the children of Law’s generation fated to die out before they reach adulthood.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the bible (especially in the old testament), God often inflicted these insanely disastrous events upon humanity, usually as some kind of punishment for their wrongdoings or as a test of their faith. Some events of which include (but are not limited to): famine, outbreaks of disease and natural disasters (e.g. hail, wildfire, earthquakes, floods). Historically, these stories played a key role in how humanity interpreted meaning from horrible disasters (e.g. assuming bubonic plague was sent as a punishment by god). Fire imagery is very common among these disasters as a representation for hell, which is clearly reflected in the destruction of Flevance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sometimes these disasters had sole survivors act as messengers for God. With that context, let’s put ourselves back in the shoes of a ten-year old Law. Raised religious, freshly traumatised from losing his home, his devout family, all the comforts of his life, and having the outside world completely abandon him, this kind of event is likely going to be processed as some form of divine punishment. Law stumbles through hell, finds all his dead classmates, and the last words of sister nun echo through to him here. Merciful and salvation are huge catholic buzzwords – promises of holy compassion, deliverance and hope – and all of it fire and smoke and riddled with bullet holes before him. A genocide funded, perpetuated and covered up by the same body Law was promised was there to save them. And the only reason Law hadn’t died with them was because he wanted to stay with his little sister Lami, who was on her deathbed, and his parents, who were themselves trying to help the afflicted citizens, Law’s own father (before he was shot and killed alongside his mother) begging for more doctors, fresh blood, anything the world can offer, and asking “Why doesn’t the government announce to everyone that white lead is not infectious?”
Oftentimes (and in the case of Law), when there’s a promise of heavenly intervention or some miracle that doesn’t follow through, it results in an ultimate feeling of betrayal and anger. Unfortunately a lot of Catholic teachings also use a lot of guilt, essentially teaching people that the bad things that happen to you are your fault and there needs to be some sort of penance (queue Law’s survivor’s guilt that carries on down the road). But also, if this was supposed to be some divine punishment, for what exactly? For the town being blinded by the incredible wealth they were sitting on? Being lied to? Continuing to extract their livelihood, ignorant of its dangers? Punishment for who? His parents? His innocent little sister? For ten year-old Law? These people who believed in God, who were good people? That’s fucking stupid. None of these people suffered and died for any reason at all — certainly not for a sacred one. God hadn’t saved a single one of them. Law had to crawl out of hell himself by sneaking over the border under a mound of corpses.
Given everything that happened here, Law has every reason to fall into nihilism, and you can see how his upbringing would’ve bred a lot of the feelings of guilt, anger and resentment that you still see in Law (which would suggest that though this is where he likely cuts ties with the religious/Catholic component of his faith, growing up with these teachings in his formative years would definitely influence underlying beliefs about how the world works, and how Law behaves and subconsciously processes information), but at the same time, there’s usually some form of redemption and changes to how these patterns of behaviour can be approached later down the line.
2. Corasan
Fresh off witnessing his whole world burning down around him, Law meets Corazon at the very bottom of this pit of self-destructive rage and unprocessed grief. Rosinante himself mentions to Sengoku that the hatred in Law at this time reminded him of his brother, but beyond the anger, harsh pessimism, vengefulness, I think you have to reach to find similarities between them. You can see some fragments of Doffy in Law down the line at times, with Law seeming to enjoy violence (especially against the navy, but given what they did to Flevance, it’s some well-deserved retribution for Law imo), but I’m not so sure it’s the cruelty so much as it is the high he gets off his own flavour of justice. Doctor’s Hippocratic oath maybe, but never once does Law like seeing others die (even at this point, he’s in tears next to a dead body, even though he’s the one holding the knife), and later on in Wano he makes it explicitly clear to Zoro that he’d rather see the mission fail than have any of them end up dead.
Tumblr media
Little Law wanted to destroy the world and everything in it, but thinking rationally, what other choice did this kid have? He had no remaining family, was doomed to die before he hit puberty due to a terminal illness, was perceived as an infectious subhuman that most doctors would’ve sooner tried to exterminate than help. To Law, the world had turned its back on him – considering him a monster for simply surviving. He has all this hatred and pain boiling away with him with no tangible target to direct it towards. And this is the first clear cut rejection of faith that we see in Law. Any concept of a merciful God had just died. What God would allow this? Why is Law alive (a question that he repeats to himself throughout his life), why are these scumbags alive, why is the world going on spinning as if nothing has happened when his whole world had gone up in flames, why does anyone at all get to be here when everything I loved is gone? And it’s far easier to fall into a despondent nihilistic stupor than it is to work through any of that, and what’s the point in trying to process and move on from it, when there’s no hope for a future for Law anyway? When the only thing waiting ahead is more pain? What was this, if not a punishment? He’s supposed to be some messenger for God? How about fuck God, or whatever entity that exists that made him suffer this. Law’s not going to be a messenger for shit, thanks, he’d rather be their monster, he’d rather watch the world burn.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Corazon survives Law’s stabbing and doesn’t rat the little shit out (to Law’s confusion). It’s business as usual for another two years, then, one day Rosinante overhears his true name - Trafalgar “D” Water Law, and everything changes. On the back of his own beliefs, Rosinante dedicates himself to making sure Law a) lives and b) doesn’t become his brother. Law’s relatively short six month stint with Corasan forms the basis of Law’s new creed going forward, and all it took was a bit of kindness, love and humanity when the rest of the world had abandoned him. In the end Rosinante doesn’t save Law for the will of D. and the storm he’s predicted to bring in the future (as Law suspects), but he certainly believes in it, and the strength of Corasan’s conviction transfers right over to Law when he forces the ope ope fruit down the kid’s throat to heal him, tells Law he loves him, then sacrifices himself to set Law free.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Law clings to that love he was given, he takes all these fundamental teachings and ways of thinking in regards to faith that were drilled into him during his youth, rejects the religion element and applies just about everything else to Corasan. He holds onto the last shreds of what Corasan leaves him with. Corasan becomes his “benefactor” (he gave my my heart), his saviour, his martyr.
And the crazy thing is, Rosinante was never really this saint Law makes him out to be. Law hated the clutz when they first met (mostly on account of Corazon throwing him through a glass window down at least two stories and into a pile of scrap). Corazon initially showed nothing but contempt for his presence (to ward him and the other children away from the Donquixote family, but these are still extreme measures). And it wasn’t until after learning Law’s name that Rosinante dragged him kicking, crying and screaming from hospital to burning hospital (not very saintlike in of itself), even after Law begged him to stop. Rosinante became Law’s saviour partly because of his belief in the will of D., and probably due to some guilt being a Donquixote, but mostly because he has always had a bleeding heart and he pitied (and had very quickly come to love) this angry, sick, deeply lost little kid. All this to say that Law’s faith in Corasan – this saintlike figure Law upholds him as in the future and the lengths he’s willing to go to avenge him/fulfil Rosinante’s purpose reflects the strength of the absolute beliefs Law would’ve been raised with in regards to God.
Whether it be out of survivor’s guilt (just one more body to heap on top of the Flevance pile), his love for Corasan, or for the sake of taking vengeance on the man that took away the one good thing he’d been able to regain in his miserable life, Law adopts Corasan’s will, the will of D. (which in of itself seems divine in nature), incorporates it into his new belief system, actively takes on the role of the divine punisher/justiciar and dedicates his life to bringing down Doflamingo.
3. Luffy
Catholicism dictates that the entirety of someone’s beliefs should be dedicated to one true cause (that cause being God) and expects people to ride on that, letting it carry them through life, give them hope, purpose, etc. But a lot of former Catholics choose instead to find that through something else. Corasan ignited the spark in Law’s faith around the will of D., but it’s not until he meets Luffy that this really becomes something that feels tangible and real for Law.
When Law saved Luffy in Marineford (putting the heart crew in danger for a stranger he met once), he said he did so “on a whim”, but that seems incredibly ooc for Law — this man that pretty much planned out how the rest of his life would go after the dust of Corasan’s death settled and he came to terms with the fact he wasn’t going to die at age thirteen like he’d originally thought. Circling back to the concept of Law being a sole survivor/messenger for God, it is interesting that Law is the one to seek out Luffy (given that Luffy is usually always the one either being abandoned by people or recruiting his crewmates), and Law is ultimately the catalyst for pulling him towards Dressrosa and Wano. There must be a REASON that led to Law deciding Luffy to be the most viable option out of the Worst Generation for an alliance (beyond blind trust in an unhinged captain that just so happens to also bear the initial D, and Luffy being one of the few captains crazy enough to go along with what Law was cooking up).
Law undoubtedly would’ve kept a peripheral eye on Luffy for some time before officially meeting him due to him being a rising competitor pirate and another “D” (I imagine the news of his utterly insane exploits would’ve made good reading material, too). The first time Law lays eyes on Luffy in Sabaody though, he still blows all expectations out of the water — crashing headfirst into the crowd of a slave auction and immediately committing a felony against a member of the most powerful upper one percent.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The world nobles are at an “untouchable God” tier in terms of class standing and believe it’s only natural for them to be entitled to whatever and whoever they want in this world that’s beneath them – the same kind of self-aggrandizing false divinity that Law has a a lot of repressed rage towards and that the will of D. is fated to oppose, so this, understandably, is a highly compelling first encounter, but it’s really only an initiating factor for what ultimately draws Law to Luffy. From their very first meeting (and probably before then, in the news stories and rumours Law likely picked up on), it’s made abundantly clear that Luffy does what he wants without a second’s hesitation, no matter the consequences, simply because he feels it is the right thing to do. Some call this an iron will, Law would be more inclined to call it willful stupidity and trouble, but time after time Luffy somehow manages to pull off what Law would best describe as “miracles”. And Law believes the straw hats just might be the ones to drum up another one for him.
Tumblr media
Luffy’s also got a lot of passing resemblances to Corasan going for him, e.g. inherently kind, compassionate liberators with big dumb hearts and wide goofy smiles in spite of everything they’ve been through, treating Law as nakama and saving his life despite his protests etc. All of which I’m sure Law hasn’t been completely unaffected by despite the high walls he puts up. And the more Law learned about Luffy the more it probably became clear that he is the antithesis to Doflamingo, i.e. what makes Luffy so goddamn dangerous and terrifying beyond his physical power is his ability to make friends with a simple kind of unconditional love that gets reciprocated enough so that these friends are willing to die for him.
Luffy agrees to the alliance, they successfully blow up Caesar’s base, and head off to Dressrosa. Now’s the time I should bring up that it’s taught in Catholicism that self sacrifice is the ultimate heavenly deed, and here Law is undoubtedly prepared to be a martyr for his cause. Law sends away his crew to Zou before Punk Hazard with the expectations that he’d never see them. He cultivates a fierce emotional detachment against Luffy’s willingness to bring him into the fold of the straw hats, and is resolute in that when the time comes, he will handle this himself, he will carry out Corasan’s will, and if he has to die for it, he will die with Corazon’s name plastered on his back. (Note here that Christianity is contradictory in that Law being this ready to die here is a sin, because revenge and suicide are highly discouraged, so you could say that by avenging and dying for his saviour, Law would be committing both the ultimate sacrifice and the ultimate sin).
Things get very dicey for Law in Dressrosa, to put it lightly. Doflamingo reveals that he was a celestial dragon (linking back into the will of D. “enemy of the Gods” notion), puts Law on the backfoot and gives him a thorough beating before shooting Law with a couple dozen white lead bullets in front of Luffy (because even when he’s winning Doffy loves to be a cunt about it). By the time Doflamingo is cuffing Law to the heart seat, it’s all looking pretty grim, and it’s very apparent when Luffy shows up to save him, that he is ready to die.
Tumblr media
Law here has given up. He spent years planning his revenge for Corasan, but he lost, and he has very little left in the tank (physically, emotionally, spiritually). But Luffy doesn’t listen. Luffy who doesn’t think, doesn’t care, who trampled all over Law’s carefully laid out plan from the get-go and who is willing to take on Doflamingo single handedly for the simple slight that he dared to harm Luffy’s friend Law. Law will never find peace in his own demise because Luffy doesn’t do peaceful. He does loud and unashamed and open with no rhyme or reason other than the excruciatingly simply fact that he loves people and he thinks the people he loves deserve to have good lives. Luffy chucks Law over his shoulder and drags an injured Law across the city despite his protests (sound familiar?) and in the process inspires the fighting spirit in Law again.
Tumblr media
When Law confronts Doflamingo again with Luffy in tow, Law’s faith in Luffy confounds him. The last Doflamingo remembers of Law is this beautifully moldable dark pit of grief and rage who’d given up on believing, period – who wanted the world destroyed. Not so long ago, Law had been a candidate for Doflamingo’s next protégé. Now?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THIS is the action (grinning, staring down the barrel of a gun, flipping Doffy off as he tells him in not so many words that he may kill Law but he will never beat Luffy), Law’s unshakeable faith in the face of his own death is what has Doflamingo realising he will never regain control of Law again – is what incites Doflamingo to go from breaking Law down so he can build him back up again, to conceding defeat and outright killing him.
The trust that Luffy inspires in Law and the way he talks about Luffy (Luffy being this powerful, miracle-inducing liberator that Law can’t comprehend but follows anyway, Law laying down his hopes on him, weaponizing the will of D. to try and provoke fear from Doffy), is very reminiscent of the awe and faith talked about in scripture. Law discovers the feelings of comfort and hope that Catholicism was supposed to give him in Luffy, but Law’s belief in Luffy is a direct rejection of those teachings. Rejection by believing in a real life person as opposed to the divinity he was taught about. He’s also cementing his belief in the will of D., thus rejecting Doflamingo and all the people that embody the sort of “all powerful” divinity that he abhors (i.e. celestial dragons, Kaido, the Gorōsei/five elders) for the embodiment of hope and humanity.
Tumblr media
When Law survives (again), he expresses he’d rather see Luffy beat Doflamingo with his own eyes or die with Luffy if he loses than leave. Then he watches, after all this talk of miracles, looking up in reverence as Luffy delivers, bright as the sun, haloed by the bars of a cage that’s haunted him for over a decade, Corasan’s words echoing at the back of his mind. God had never saved or freed Law, but Corasan was there for him, the heart crew was there, Luffy was there. And this is Law’s biggest, clearest rejection of religion – this newfound faith in humanity.
This faith in Luffy is put to the test again in Wano when Luffy is struck down by Kaido, but Law never truly stops believing that he’ll make a comeback. Even when the straw hats doubt whether he’s alive or not, something tells him Luffy’s not dead, and he holds onto that hope.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We also have the whole nika/joyboy backstory which really only reinforces all of this imagery/god-fearing looks of awe from Law and this idea of Luffy who is this perfect juxtaposition of empathetic and kind to incredibly fearsome fire and brimstone fighter. And regardless of whether you’re into the ship or not this is the impetus of Law’s relationship with Luffy for me, because here’s Luffy who has every right to have a chip on his shoulder and be downtrodden about all the injustices against him, here’s this little guy who against all odds, in the darkest of places, embodies light and hope and kindness and proves to Law that there will be hard times but there IS a happy ending at the end of the tunnel, despite it all. And everytime Luffy rises to the insurmountable challenge and wins, it just further cements that the will of D. is alive, that Corasan was right, that there's something redeemable in Law, a reason why he was worth saving, even if Law doesn’t understand it quite yet.

ive been playing a lot of collective unconscious lately
Tumblr media
at first i was gonna make a post talking about multiple ynoproject games before i realized that i just had too much to say about this one. also, this was written before the update dropped
header made by callisto on steamgriddb
if you dont already know what yume nikki is, i consider it a must-play if you enjoy analyzing games. its effectively a rorschach test with just enough fuel to point you in an interesting direction that nobodys pieced together in quite the same way yet. the best way to play it is either for free on steam, or on ynoproject.net, which also hosts a handful of the fuckton of games that act as entries into the yumenikki-like genre. perhaps the most notable among these games, along with the classics like yume 2kki and .flow, is collective unconscious, a yume nikki fangame designed with the website's massively-multiplayer functionality in mind.
initially, i was worried that the collective nature of the game would encourage way more obtuse design. like, if youve heard of namco's tower of druaga, you might know that while english arcade-goers hated the eclectic and bizarre progression requirements, japanese arcades were abuzz with collaboration, people starting cabinet journals that list their discoveries and offer tips. i minored in sociology and therefore have the confidence to declare that this is a perfect example of collectivism vs individualism. anywho, i was worried that the post-fnaf world would encourage this kind of design on a more widespread level again, which would just mean tabbing out into a guide every few minutes. well, youve gotta for a handful of the journal covers and menu styles (the game does a great job at pacing out the rewards while still maintaining reasonable expectations), but those are optional cosmetics, and their obscurity is par for the course. the effects (scuse me, the eidola) are pretty clear-cut too, i feel like yume nikki just kinda handed em out for random stuff (which is great for what its going for!) but i really like the spectacle and circumstance around em here. like, you find the rat one in a random dumpster somewhere, but the weather one is from communing with the gods
ill note now, there isn't the stock speed vehicle like in most fangames, you can just sprint whenever. this isnt a trivial change, and the game knows it. theres one puzzle that is built around needing to sprint with another effect active. personally, i like this change, but i understand why oldheads wouldnt. dont worry, i still take my time, its just nice to speed up a bit without having to sacrifice my cool eidola
unfortunately, the multiplayer aspect wasnt too lively. there were only a handful of other dreamers, and the ones that werent just afk in the nexus were off doing their own thing god-knows-where on the map. i think i ran into one other person organically, ever, and they just ran past me. i suppose this is an inevitability when you put strangers in a sandbox together... especially since most people (hundreds compared to our twenty-odd) were in yume 2kki, the MUCH larger sandbox. anyway, im gonna stop talking about meta stuff and get into what youre all here for: dream analysis. finally, a use for that stupid psyche degree.
oh real quick, the exception to the loneliness thing is expeditions, something built-in to YNO at large. you get exp if you go to a specific location in one of the games, so you can expect a lot of people there. once you get there, youre gonna see a bunch of people standing around the entrance facing the camera afk.
anyway, when i got the soulfire eidola, the obligatory weapon effect, i got some "donut steel" vibes. its kinda funny to jump from a kitchen knife to casting Demonic Flare: Pillar of Hellfire with a floating eye face vigil and arms made of flames. but then i simply got over myself and took this as a surface-level aspect of minnatsuki's personality. you can tell a lot from a protag by how they kill npcs. for example, sabitsuki has a gun, but only uses it for intimidation, leaving the act of killing to some old pipe she found; implying that she is pragmatic, and still sees the act of murder as something dirty and ill-fitting. meanwhile, urotsuki uses a chainsaw, a weapon infamous for being impractical against humans irl but pervasive in fiction due to the sheer cool factor; this tells us she glorifies killing, seeing it as something fun and badass. minnatsuki is similar to the latter, having a fantasy spell as their method, meaning that we can see a hint of escapist desire, to be empowered beyond mundane humanity in a way that equates to the ability to harm others.
other eidola, like her animal forms being a mouse (stereotypically skittish and shy) and a jellyfish (weak and passive, confined to water), and her instument of choice being the meek and obscure kalimba, paints the picture of a girl who feels desperately powerless. she doesnt want to lash out and kill others per se, her weapon is a bit too fantastical for that. she just wants to feel strong, and whats stronger than some arbitrary mythical abstraction of an element of destruction? and dont get me started on the umbra and spectral eidola, letting her fade into nothing or just be untethered to the world. theres something she wants to escape
another thing? very rarely are you given an eidola. with soulfire and umbra you have to actively avoid people trying to stop you from leaving with it. the ones that seem more permissive have caveats: you get rodentia in a back alley from someone hidden in a dumpster, you loot lumen off a corpse, spectral comes from a literal cult ritual, and climate makes you earn the blessings of three separate... gods? before youve earned the right to it. the only real exception is kaliba, because theyre like $20 on amazon. nah but seriously, maybe it represents being a heartfelt gift from a friend? or maybe its granted more readily because its recreational, and doesnt empower minnatsuki in the way weve talked about them desiring?
by the way, i dont think minnatsuki has a gender. not like in a kris deltarune "actively canonically nonbinary" way, but as an unimportant detail left up to interpretation. maybe theyre just a cis person who doesnt care and puts no stake in it as an aspect of their identity, or maybe they just feel alienated from the social concept of gender altogether? i prefer the last one, personally, for reasons ill get to later
that brings us to the eyes. there is so much eye imagery in minnatsuki's dreams. eyes on stalks that watch you, where trying to talk to them is useless. giant murals with a six-armed diety that has an eye on its palm. women in melancholy, whos faces lack eyes. a giant flower hidden in the dark that hides a single large eye. only being able to enter the house in rainstorm city that has the eye symbol next to it. perception plays a toll on minnatsuki, and i think it goes both ways. they feel observed in a burdensome way, and they feel incapable of 'seeing' on the same level as others. or maybe they see too much? is there an event she shouldnt have seen, or does she experience sight at a level above others, recognizing things others cant? the child and spectral eidola may be a wish fulfillment of the former, letting her see the unseen in a literal way, while also letting her overcome limitations that she has seen for herself with the latter
another thing about the design i wanna mention real quick is that so much is diagonal. this is something that the rpgmaker engine isn't built to really allow. like yeah, you can, and this game goes out of its way to make it non-obtrusive by having minnatsuki slide along walls sometimes, but it's not something the foundation was set in mind for. this also brings to mind the idea that minnatsuki doesn't fit in with others. it's not a disease like in .flow, it's not something that's detrimental to her in a literal way. it just causes friction with the world around her, because she doesn't feel as if it's built for how she is. she just doesnt quite fit with the world around her sometimes, the way she moves is just a bit off, like a direction-locked movement system trying to go diagonally
theres also a lot of thematic relevance to the idea of connection and ingroup membership. the game is named from the jungian ideal, a level of understanding inherent to the human mind where process instinct and achetype (the latter basically being our classification of others into pre-conscieved schema like "the wily trickster" and "the tyrant leader"). in addition, the game has a lot of togetherness imagery, with npcs sometimes travelling in packs or existing as hordes (the only exception i can think of are npcs that give you something like an eidola or menu theme, perhaps meaning isolation holds a deep importance), and things acting as notable points of interaction when they are isolated (note that the dungeon-relevant houses in gbc world are furthest from the village, for example). there's also a lot of totem poles, acting as the dream trigger and the centre of the nexus, signalling great importance. in first nation tradition, totem poles are created to honour the lineage of a clan (using designs that are unique to that clan), and send messages such as welcoming visitors and shaming wrong-doers (both of these uses involve establishing in-group membership).
i believe these themes combined, minnatsuki's dreams letting her feel powerful and connected, paint the picture of a person that is alone and powerless. minnatsuki doesnt have friends, and im not sure if she even has bullies. i have yet to meet a chaser in this game, so maybe that means that nobody even singles her out in a negative way? stares and weird looks, maybe, but only as a collective and not as a personal connection. this is corroborated by the school location, which minnatsuki's dream constructs as a tainted and evil place, half-formed from broken blueprints. she understands it as a flawed idea done poorly; implying that her disillusion is so severe she sees her isolation as an inseparable corruption of the entire system. so, she feels powerless to stop it, as well as alone and friendless
unfortunately, the game doesnt seem to have a proper ending yet. which is a shame, because most solid ynfg theories start with you working backwards from the ending. well, i supposed "social outcast that struggles with confidence and/or self-esteem" isnt a groundbreaking theory, but im still interested to see if this supported or jossed as the game gets more updates. also, i noticed while brushing this up that at some point i switched from they to she for minnatsuki, so i guess the audience has interpreted.
look i could ramble about this wonderful game all day. dont get me started about my thoughts on the event in uncanny world, the lonely girl in snowy shoal, and the random blond girl that can just show up in random places out of nowhere and that takes you one a scooter ride once you get to know her?
im gonna be playing this for a long, long time, and im gonna love every second of it

"As countries around the world begin to either propose or enforce zero-deforestation regulations, companies are coming under growing pressure to prove that their products are free of deforestation. But this is often a far from straightforward process.
Take palm oil, for instance. Its journey from plantations, most likely in Indonesia or Malaysia, to store shelves in the form of shampoo, cookies or a plethora of other goods, is a long and convoluted one. In fact, the cooking oil or cosmetics we use might contain palm oil processed in several different mills, which in turn may have bought the raw palm fruit from several of the many thousands of plantations. For companies that use palm oil in their products, tracing and tracking its origins through these obscure supply chains is a tough task. Often it requires going all the way back to the plot level and checking for deforestation. However, these plots are scattered over vast areas across potentially millions of locations, with data being in various states of digitization and completeness...
Palmoil.io, a web-based monitoring platform that Bottrill launched, is attempting to help palm oil companies get around this hurdle. Its PlotCheck tool allows companies to upload plot boundaries and check for deforestation without any of the data being stored in their system. In the absence of an extensive global map of oil palm plots, the tool was developed to enable companies to prove compliance with regulations without having to publicly disclose detailed data on their plots. PlotCheck now spans 13 countries including Indonesia and Malaysia, and aims to include more in the coming months.
Palm oil production is a major driver of deforestation in Indonesia and Malaysia, although deforestation rates linked to it have declined in recent years. While efforts to trace illegally sourced palm oil have ramped up in recent years, tracing it back to the source continues to be a challenge owing to the complex supply chains involved.
Recent regulatory proposals have, however, made it imperative for companies to find a way to prove that their products are free of deforestation. Last June, the European Union passed legislation that prohibits companies from sourcing products, including palm oil, from land deforested after 2020. A similar law putting the onus on businesses to prove that their commodities weren’t produced on deforested land is also under discussion in the U.K. In the U.S., the U.S. Forest Bill aims to work toward a similar goal, while states like New York are also discussing legislation to discourage products produced on deforested land from being circulated in the markets there...
PlotCheck, which is now in its beta testing phase, allows users to input the plot data in the form of a shape file. Companies can get this data from palm oil producers. The plot data is then checked and analyzed with the aid of publicly available deforestation data, such as RADD (Radar for Detecting Deforestation) alerts that are based on data from the Sentinel-1 satellite network and from NASA’s Landsat satellites. The tool also uses data available on annual tree cover loss and greenhouse gas emission from plantations.
Following the analysis, the tool displays an interactive online map that indicates where deforestation has occurred within the plot boundaries. It also shows details on historical deforestation in the plot as well as data on nearby mills. If deforestation is detected, users have the option of requesting the team to cross-check the data and determine if it was indeed caused by oil palm cultivation, and not logging for artisanal mining or growing other crops. “You could then follow up with your supplier and say there is a potential red flag,” Bottrill said.
As he waits to receive feedback from users, Bottrill said he’s trying to determine how to better integrate PlotCheck into the workflow of companies that might use the tool. “How can we take this information, verify it quickly and turn it into a due diligence statement?” he said. “The output is going to be a statement, which companies can submit to authorities to prove that their shipment is deforestation-free.” ...
Will PlotCheck work seamlessly? That’s something Bottrill said he’s cautiously optimistic about. He said he’s aware of the potential challenges with regard to data security and privacy. However, he said, given how zero-deforestation legislation like that in the EU are unprecedented in their scope, companies will need to sit up and take action to monitor deforestation linked to their products.
“My perspective is we should use the great information produced by universities, research institutes, watchdog groups and other entities. Plus, open-source code allows us to do things quickly and pretty inexpensively,” he said. “So I am positive that it can be done.”"

Note: I know it's not "stop having palm oil plantations." (A plan I'm in support of...monocrop plantations are always bad, and if palm oil production continues, it would be much better to produce it using sustainable agroforestry techniques.)
However, this is seriously a potentially huge step/tool. Since the EU's deforestation regulations passed, along with other whole-supply-chain regulations, people have been really worried about how the heck we're going to enforce them. This is the sort of tool we need/need the industry to have to have a chance of genuinely making those regulations actually work. Which, if it does work, it could be huge.
It's also a great model for how to build supply chain monitoring for other supply chain regulations, like the EU's recent ban on companies destroying unsold clothes.

Describing some wigs
Many years ago there was as site called Amphigory.com, and while it's still up, the Amphigory that 16-year-old me spent days browsing is not the Amphigory that still remains. They're still cool, but they'd really scaled back the scope of what they sell. There used to be cosmetics, jewelry, hair dye, a few more things, and wigs.
One of the things that they did about their wig sales that really set them apart was the level of description that they gave every wig. This wasn't just a single stock picture and a name. They took their own pictures of each wig, inside and out, and described each one's strengths and flaws. They weren't like Arda, who designs their own wigs from scratch. They were more like a normal costume reseller, who had a collection of vendors that they'd order stock from. But, unlike most costume wig sellers, they had multiple pictures and a detailed analysis of each wig. You knew what you were getting, which was really important for cosplayers who might need to restyle a wig. If you've never restyled a wig before, you might not be aware, but the wig can make it very easy, or the wig can make it impossible.
Amphigory's wig section is long gone, but I do still buy wigs from a similar company, one that has a collection of wig vendors whose products they sell. This is a shop that I go to is in person, and I love that. I know that I can find some wigs cheaper elsewhere, but I absolutely love that I can go to a small business, roll up to a counter, and physically touch the wigs before I buy them. I can look at them, turn them inside-out, and touch them. I also get to take the wig home that day, instead of waiting for shipping.
But not everyone has this opportunity, and on the offchance that people are considering buying a wig online and google the wig to see worn photos or reviews, here's me making a compilation of wigs I've recently bought and what they actually look like in person. Even with wigs from the same seller, some might be garbage, but some might be hidden gems. So, in the interest of making more information about which wigs are like what, here we go:
California Costumes Pink/Gray Ombre with Star Clips:
Tumblr media
First of all, California Costumes gets 0/10 for creativity with names. I love me a good little nickname for a wig. The Costume Mansion, where I bought this, called it "Harmony," and I think that's a better name.
Yes, my wig head is cosplaying its Naruto OC. Let it do its thing.
This is a textured, ombre wig. The actual fiber is ombre, so an individual strand will go from gray color to pink, and the gray is a little bit softer than the pink. Some wigs that are tipped with another color accomplish this by having the color on the ends be longer hair than the top color, but this is a true ombre. I have not tested this for colorfastness, but it's possible that the pink tips won't age super well. The skin top is about 3" wide and does not go all the way to the front of the wig. This means that you can change the part a little bit, but it will always have bangs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The whole thing is sewn onto a continuous cap, which isn't as forgiving of larger head sizes than one that's just wefts and elastic. It has the built-in net that you sometimes see with cheaper wigs, which is where your hair would go if you want to wear this wig without a wig cap. You, however, don't want to wear this wig without a wig cap. You know better. There's hooks in the back for resizing.
Wefts in the back are about an inch apart, but when I was shaking it around and trying to make it show the mesh, I couldn't actually make it show the mesh without physically parting it. Depending on how you put your hair up under the wig, you might have problems with the mesh showing in the back (lumpy hair will show mesh, hair that's smoothly under a wig cap won't). This is probably a wig you want a matching or light colored wig cap for if you have a larger head.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Overall, cute wig, stock pictures don't do it justice. Available for $20 on Amazon, in case you don't have a local costume shop to support. This item tag reads "ITEM # 7022-068 FTY # 346 HK2203" and I don't know what that means but if someone's googling the tag to look up the wig then hopefully that'll lead them here.
Yuki by Characters:
Tumblr media
At least this one has a wig name. And boy howdy is that some big hair. The place I bought this from called it "Cupcake."
I tried on this wig because I really wanted to see how it was constructed, and I bought it because, when I tried it on, it was way cuter than I thought it'd be. It's a rougher fiber, which makes the curls hold their shape really well, but you're going to be fighting to keep the bangs and long forelocks looking smooth. There's no skin top, and the hair radiates from a sort of u-shaped blob at the top. There's so much going on in this wig that it's not particularly obvious, and also you will convince absolutely no one that it's not a wig, so that's not as much a priority to me on this style.
Tumblr media
As for how it's actually constructed, there's no teasing in the wig to keep it that big. Instead, the actual cap of the wig is sewn into the shape of the big faux twintails, and then the hair is attached to that structure. Wigs are not hair. Anyway, that means there's pretty much no major restyling that can be done. It's just curly hair about 5" long on a funky structure to make funky big hair. Anyway, because thew cap of this wig is so oversized, it's really comfortable to wear, and it's really accommodating of large head sizes or a lot of hair.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also because of the cap size, if you don't pin the temples on, it can slide back and make your bangs shorter. You can see that in my picture there. Mine did not come with the little rose clips, but it is supposed to come with the rose clips. It's much curlier than the stock images imply it will be.
This wig would be great for embellishing, since you can sew things directly to the funky shaped cap and not worry about where to support it. It also can handle a full sized BTSSB headbow, if that's a concern.
Someone's selling it on Amazon for $60 and you absolutely should not spend that much for this wig. I see other wig shops selling it for about $30, which is the upper limit on its real fair price, unless you really need the specific shape for it. I'm not going to link any specific shop since I don't have experience buying from them. "Yuki wig" and "Characters Yuki wig" are good search terms.
Characters Peggy Sue wig:
Tumblr media
Okay so please be forgiving that my detail pictures are going to be of this wig already styled, because I didn't know I was going to do this post when I started working with it. I'll make a point to spell out what's stock and what's been done. Top pictures here are the most un-styled that I have.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This wig's got a coin-shaped skin top that all the hair radiates from. It comes with long, blunt bangs. The fiber is really shiny and is very easily reshaped by low hair dryer heat. High heat on my hair dryer, too close to the scalp, was how I made the frizzy spot in the back. The cap is a closed mesh cap, but it's nice and stretchy.
The weird boogers on the top of my wig are the orange hilights that I put in (they were just chopped from another wig), but that picture's there to show the size of the skin top. You can also see where I sewed some orange wefts into the wig for all-over recoloring. I re-parted the skin coin so that the hair has a linear part instead of radiating from the center, and then painted it with liquid foundation to make the parted area larger. Mine also has a LOT of baby powder dispersed through it to combat the shine. I spent like four days to try to make this $20 wig look like it's maybe a $35 wig. (The process was: "oh hey I'll be taking my wheelchair to the comic convention. I should cosplay Barbara Gordon because that will be fun. This will be easy and I don't need to put a lot of money or time into it." and then four days passed and I'd spent hours manually highlighting a cheap wig).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And it really needs a bit of love to get it to be less frizzy. Right out of the bag, my wig did not have that outward flip. Unlike the other two, I don't see this being a really usable wig for lolita fashion in pretty much any context, but hey, I'm on a roll with this post.
This wig is listing online for like $30, and that's a bit much IMO. If you have a local shop selling it for $20, well, that's a different matter.
If you want a wig just to change your hair color so that your bright pink hair doesn't clash with your coord, I once bought this wig (according to Amazon in 2015 so it's been...almost a decade...nice to know they're tracking that) and was pretty impressed with the quality for a $17 wig. So, you know, buy that instead of this Peggy Sue wig.
I do own the Lacey Costume Little Women II Wig (Amphigory's "Innocent?" wig) but it's late and I want to go to bed, and all you really need to know about it is that the fiber texture of the ash blond color is really dicey, so that's probably a case where if you need a pigtail wig you need to just get an Arda Chibi. I can still do details if anyone wants. It's just 9:30 and I have to put all these damn wigs away, so good night, everyone.

Everyday things you might overlook, like cooking fumes, cleaning sprays, or even cosmetics, could be silently damaging your lungs." Ladies use environmently friendly products for the home and boycott a beauty industry that adds chemicals that damage the lungs to its products.
https://www.business-standard.com/health/women-lung-disease-copd-cooking-fumes-indoor-air-pollution-hormones-125052200708_1.html
Women over 40 face a higher risk of chronic lung disease, possibly due to indoor pollution, hormonal shifts, and misdiagnosis - not just smoking
By Barkha Mathur New Delhi
You don’t need to smoke to be at risk for serious lung disease — especially if you’re a woman over 40.
We often associate lung diseases with older men who’ve smoked for years. But opposed to this popular belief, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a lung disease that makes it hard to breathe, isn’t just a smoker’s disease, and it’s definitely not just a “man’s problem.” A new study published in BMJ Open Respiratory Research has found that women aged 40 and above are at a significantly higher risk of developing COPD compared to men, even if they’ve never touched a cigarette.
That means everyday things you might overlook, like cooking fumes, cleaning sprays, or even cosmetics, could be silently damaging your lungs.
What did the study find about women and lung disease?
The study titled Gender, tobacco and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: analysis of the 2020 National Health Interview Survey looked at the health data from over 23,000 adults aged 40 and above and found that women are had about a 50 per cent higher risk of lung disease.
Among people who had never smoked, 3.2 per cent of women had COPD, compared to just 1.7 per cent of men. And even among smokers, women were still more likely to develop the disease.
This suggests that something other than smoking is affecting women’s lung health — and it may be more common than we realise.
Does tobacco affect men and women differently?
Not exactly. The study found no biological evidence that women are more vulnerable to smoking-related lung damage.
What could explain higher COPD rates among women?
While the study doesn’t pin down a specific cause, it raises a few possible contributing factors:
Indoor air pollution from cooking fumes, household cleaners, or beauty products
Jobs in cleaning, caregiving, or hospitality where exposure to fumes or dust is common
Smaller lungs and airways, which may be more sensitive to damage
Hormonal changes, like menopause or multiple pregnancies, which could affect lung function
Medical misdiagnosis — doctors often don’t expect to see COPD in women, especially non-smokers
According to the study, these risks can go unnoticed, making it harder for women to get diagnosed early.
What are the signs of COPD you should watch for?
COPD makes it harder to breathe. Symptoms may include:
A persistent cough
Wheezing or shortness of breath
Feeling tired or winded doing normal activities
Frequent chest infections
If you’re over 40 and have any of these symptoms — even if you’ve never smoked — it’s important to talk to your doctor.
Why should women pay attention to chronic lung symptoms after 40?
The study highlights that many women are diagnosed late, or not at all, because doctors often don’t consider lung disease in non-smoking women. By the time symptoms get worse, the condition may already be serious.
Getting a simple lung function test early could help catch COPD sooner, when it’s easier to manage and treat.
What can you do to protect your lungs?
Avoid long exposure to indoor fumes — use exhaust fans or ventilate well when cooking or cleaning
Wear a mask in dusty or chemical-heavy environments
Stay up to date with check-ups, especially if you’ve had breathing problems or are over 40
Don’t ignore persistent cough, breathlessness, or fatigue — even if you think it’s “just age”
You don’t have to be a smoker to develop lung problems, and you don’t have to wait for symptoms to get worse before doing something about it. If you’re a woman over 40, your lungs might need more care than you realise.

Hey! I just saw that you reblogged a post of mine on Loki's powers a while ago. And while I completely agree with your tags (Loki's powers in the tv series among other things), you also write that the show was originally written for a different character and only the names were changed and the magic added later on. I've never read that anywhere, could you explain? It would make so much sense given how different Loki is in the show and how his previous experience is largely disregarded.
Hi there!!
It took me a while to answer this because of real-life stuff, but now I’m there!
By saying the show was written for another character I referred to this analysis on Twitter which again links back to another analysis on Tumblr. (The original link in Twitter is broken, but I found the post manually). I read this analyses a while back, and admire people who were able and willing to read Waldron’s original script. For me, it reads like an insincere column on what a deeply conservative person assumes would be what a left-leaning, progressive audience would like to hear without understanding anything about the points he tries to mirror. I can't add much to the original posts.
However, Waldron’s comments about Loki, including the “he’s an ass and that makes him easy to write” as well as his jokes on never having watched Thor 1 before writing the series can certainly give you the idea he never knew much about our beloved blorbo before writing him. The fact that he thought making Loki say “he doesn’t enjoy killing people but does it anyway for his personal gain” (rephrased) would make TVA Loki in any way redeemable is telling imo.**
Now, technically this is all I can say to your ask, BUT I realize I never truly elaborated on the stuff I mentioned in said tags, so here is an explanation for everyone who would like more about it.
I read those a while back and took my basic analyzing skills to the test by taking a look at Loki and how writing for a character works in general. This has two aspects (I can think of from the top of my head).
If a work is written for one special character it should be impossible to achieve the same plot if he was replaced by another character without the special abilities.
One thing I read a while back (and sadly forgot where) is that both sex and fight scenes are both character exposition scenes. This is true for magic as well, just it gets rarely used since in all of literature there aren’t that many characters who possess magic.
In the Thor movies, Loki’s magic is masterfully used, showing that the works were actually written with Loki in mind. Both Thor 1 and the dark world would simply not work if you put -let’s say Fandral- in Loki’s position. Loki’s skill to find the pathways between worlds is essential. And his ability to make himself invisible is essential for Thor 1. I could go on, but you get the idea, and I don’t want to get this too long to read.
Tumblr media
Regarding the character exposition, Loki’s magic in the first movies was a mirror for his characterization (as it should be). He could make himself invisible, for he has been invisible to his family. He could cast illusions since he learned that people preferred an illusion to his real self. He could make others manipulate into saying what he wanted them to say because that was how Loki survived on Asgard (post-credits scene of Thor 1).
Tumblr media
In TDW, we see Loki’s anger and frustration manifest in a telekinetic blast that ruins everything around him, and if that isn’t a masterful analogy for his arc I don’t know what would be.
Now coming to the series. All magic Loki uses is cosmetically or for show. He dries himself, he makes sweet little fireworks. How is that connected to his characterization? The show tells us he is insecure and loves only himself. If you squint real hard you might argue the drying is a sign of him being used to comfort. But I thought he was pampered and spoiled? Wouldn’t that mean he had other people to dry him?
And then there is the hiding/teleportation* scene on Lamentis. What does it say about his character? If it IS teleportation what does it say about him? That he can go distances without walking, perhaps, which would fit his line “I never walked so much in my life”, but doesn’t fit that scene from Thor 1 where we see how long he had to walk. And if he can teleport why doesn’t he spare them the walk? And if it doesn’t work for long distances, why does he run for cover right when they realize they are on Lamentis and doesn’t teleport? Why doesn’t he teleport onboard the spaceship? IF they wanted to use the fight as a character exposition, they should have made him use illusions. That’s his trademark.
Tumblr media
Next is the “lifting a building” stuff. What does that say? I guess if you limit the interpretation to the series, it could be considered foreshadowing for the “we are stronger than we think”. And like so many stuff of the show it lacks any connection to the former canon. Loki isn’t known for brute strength, either of the body or of the magic. That’s Thor. Loki is known for being the intelligent one. Interestingly, the scene spells rather “we are dumber than we think”, too, since making two steps to the side would have achieved the same effect without any flexing of inexplainable telekinesis muscles.
Tumblr media
The same goes for the fireworks in the train (characterizing Loki as sentimental, ok fine, and later as a dumb drunk who can’t control what illusion he casts, 😒). The plot would work without that magic. Just like it works without the drying, the building lifting, and all the other magic Loki used.
So, yeah, magic is Loki’s specialty that sets him apart from many other characters. Someone who writes a story with him in mind will use that automatically. They didn’t. Because it wasn’t him the show was written for. But the worst guy of all time.
Since I only talked about the magic here, I would like to recommend this marvelous analysis on Loki’s speech pattern and body language in the shown in comparison to the former installments.
* The only thing the “I don’t enjoy it” achieves is taking possible sadism out of the equation. TVA Loki is still irredeemable because he decided his sense of superiority would be worth more than the lives of the people in New York. This is egoism and a total dismissal of other people’s lives, something that cannot be “unlearned” by learning to love himself. That only removes the former motivation for the slaughter. Should something else motivate him to kill people, he would act just the same.
On the other hand, OG Loki has been coerced, not only by torture as we see it in The Avengers but also under the influence of the mind stone. Whenever we see him having the choice he acts morally better by sparing lives where he can.
**I don’t consider it teleportation since there is a time delay between Loki vanishing and re-appearing, and imo teleportation is instantaneous. Also, he vanishes feet first but reappears head first which doesn’t sit right with teleportation, and rather with making himself invisible and lifting invisibility again, but that’s for another post.

Global Tetrahydrocurcumin Market Report: Trends, Opportunities, and Forecast 2025–2031
Global Tetrahydrocurcumin market demonstrates steady growth momentum, currently valued at US$6.9 million in 2024 with projections indicating a climb to US$9.8 million by 2031, reflecting a 5.2% CAGR throughout the forecast period. This natural derivative of curcumin is gaining traction across cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications, particularly as consumers increasingly demand plant-based bioactive compounds with scientifically validated benefits.
Tetrahydrocurcumin (CAS 36062-04-1) represents a technologically advanced iteration of traditional turmeric extracts, offering superior stability and bioavailability compared to conventional curcumin. Its multi-functional properties as an antioxidant, tyrosinase inhibitor, and anti-inflammatory agent make it particularly valuable for premium skincare formulations targeting hyperpigmentation and photoaging. Recent clinical studies have further validated its therapeutic potential in metabolic disorders and oncological applications, though cosmetic applications currently dominate commercial utilization.
Download FREE Sample Report: https://www.24chemicalresearch.com/download-sample/291099/global-tetrahydrocurcumin-forecast-market-2025-2031-449
Market Overview & Regional Analysis
Asia-Pacific commands nearly half the global market share (48%), propelled by China's extensive nutraceutical manufacturing base and South Korea's booming K-beauty industry. The region benefits from established turmeric supply chains and growing middle-class expenditure on premium cosmetic products featuring "clean beauty" ingredients. While domestic Chinese manufacturers dominate production, Japanese and Korean brands lead in high-value cosmetic applications.
Europe follows as the second-largest market (23%), with Germany and France emerging as innovation hubs for cosmeceutical formulations incorporating Tetrahydrocurcumin. North America accounts for 22% of demand, where its application in functional foods and dietary supplements is gaining FDA recognition. Emerging markets in Latin America and MENA regions show accelerated adoption, though regulatory hurdles and price sensitivity presently limit penetration.
Key Market Drivers and Opportunities
The market rides on three powerful industry trends: escalating demand for natural skin brightening agents as hydroquinone alternatives, growing preference for bioactive ingredients in anti-aging formulations, and expanding applications in therapeutic areas including diabetes management and cancer adjuvant therapy. Cosmetic applications currently drive 75% of consumption, with the remaining split between pharmaceuticals (18%) and functional foods (7%).
Significant white space exists in developing optimized delivery systems to enhance bioavailability, with nanoemulsion and liposomal technologies presenting lucrative R&D opportunities. The nutraceutical sector also shows promise, particularly for metabolic health products targeting Asia's growing diabetic population. Emerging applications in veterinary medicine and aquaculture present additional growth frontiers.
Challenges & Restraints
Market expansion faces headwinds from high production costs associated with hydrogenation processes, inconsistent raw material quality from turmeric sources, and regulatory ambiguity in novel food approvals. While the compound itself is Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) for topical use, oral applications face stricter scrutiny in Western markets. Smaller producers also struggle with scaling issues due to the specialized equipment required for consistent ?98% purity grades.
Intellectual property disputes over extraction methodologies and an influx of substandard products from unregulated suppliers threaten to commoditize the market. The lack of standardized testing protocols for bioactivity assessment further complicates quality assurance across the value chain.

Brazil has a problem: therapeutic itinerary, research and data about eating disorders
Tumblr media
José Ernesto dos Santos, Ph.D., started the first Brazilian eating disorder treatment center, Grupo de Assistência aos Transtornos Alimentares (GRATA) in 19861 and much progress has been made since then. At present, researchers around the world are discussing culture-oriented strategies to address better treatments and explore individuals' care processes and experiences in their respective countries.
However, few studies cover Brazilian prevalence rates. In 2016, Kolar et al.2 reported rates ranging from 0.04% to 0.09% for anorexia nervosa, and from 0.13% to 0.27% for bulimia nervosa. In 2022, prevalence rates rose to 0.7% for bulimia nervosa, 1.4% for binge eating disorder, and 6.2% for recurrent binge eating.3 To illustrate, other prominent studies include a meta-analysis on disordered eating,4 a qualitative investigation on the limited knowledge among healthcare professionals,5 and a comparison of two socioeconomically distinct groups and their food choices,6 reflecting advances for Brazilian studies focused on eating behavior. On the other hand, the same level of research is not observed with eating disorder samples.
The relentless pursuit of an idealized thinness, perpetuated by media and dominant cultural norms, has distinct characteristics in Brazil. The country's prevalence of cosmetic procedures and plastic surgeries significantly shapes societal pressures and body image perceptions. Addressing these issues in the Brazilian context relies heavily on the availability and commitment of human resources, materials, and tools for screening and treatment. While many Brazilian studies focus on identifying symptoms using scales like the Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-26) or the Binge Eating Scale (BES), other countries have progressed further, delving into treatment methodologies. Assessing the accuracy and psychometric properties of a scale developed abroad is fundamental for addressing the socio-cultural nuances of a country as vast as Brazil. Why are we lagging so far behind, then?

Lasik Surgery – What is the procedure before, during, and after the surgery?
Lasik Surgery has changed its way in many different ways, it brings so many innovations in terms of technologies and many more in the last decade. New technology has been invented by scientists like Bladeless Femto Lasik, and it has made the procedure even safer and more precise. People who are considering LASIK for specs removal usually have a lot of questions related to LASIK. We are attempting to these questions to provide all the necessary information.
Tumblr media
Before the Lasik procedure: Before undergoing the procedure, ophthalmologists need to take several tests to ensure your eligibility for further procedures. Below are the following informations:
Pre-Lasik Evaluation: The pre-Lasik analysis is the most important part to get the procedure smooth. It helps to analyze the suitability of an individual for Lasik and helps in deciding the most suitable procedure for the patient. It decides on the basis of medical reports. Here are the several tests to check the eligibility for further procedures such as eye pressure, eye power, corneal evaluation, optic nerve, and retina evaluation, etc. these tests help to check the corneal thickness, dry eyes, corneal diameter, pupil size, and many more.
Consultation with Lasik Surgeon. During the consultation, the ophthalmologist will discuss your suitability for the latest procedure. He may suggest suitable surgery as per your test reports. He may discuss the risks, benefits, and alternatives of Lasik surgery so that you may have a better understanding of the procedure. The surgeon will also make you understand the ‘do’s and don’t’ before or after the surgery. At this particular stage, you may ask anything to an eye surgeon related to your Lasik.
Who wears Contact Lenses: All those who wear contact lenses on a daily basis need to stop wearing contact lenses a few days prior to undergoing the procedure. Contact lenses may alter the actual size of the cornea which should be normal during the surgery.
Ignore eye cosmetics: If you are sure to go ahead with the Lasik Procedure then it is better to say no to eye cosmetics and creams around your eyes at least for 2 to 3 days prior to the procedure. These products may apply on eyelashes and lid margins which can increase the risk of eye infections after the Lasik procedure.
The day of Surgery: If you are prepared for Lasik, it is always better to wrap up all your urgent work before arriving at the hospital for the surgery and sit in a relaxed state of mind. Arrange your transport for arriving and leaving the hospital carefully because you’re not able to drive on the day of the LASIK procedure.
Remove all your make-up before coming to the center for the Lasik procedure.
It is advisable to refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, and aftershave, as it can interfere with the procedure.
It is always better to have a light meal before arriving for Lasik Surgery.
It is important to wear comfortable clothes something which you can wear after the procedure and throughout the night.
You will be asked to read and sign the final form for Lasik.
What to expect during the Procedure:
You will be getting numbing drops.
Clean the eyes by eye surgeons
Lasik surgery didn’t require any injections or general anesthesia during the procedure
It hardly takes 10-15 minutes to get the procedure done
What will be the procedure? Once you are prepared for the procedure, you will be taken to the operation theatre and made to lie down for the Lasik Procedure. Your surgeon will start proceeding with the Lasik. If you have chosen the Femto Lasik procedure as it is the best procedure to get rid of your glasses.
In Femto Lasik flap creation is already done with the help of another laser called femtosecond laser. No blade will be used during the procedure and laser light will hit your eye and your procedure is almost done.
What to do after surgery? In the initial phase of the surgery may experience some discomfort, tearing, burning, and itching. Your vision will be hazy and blurry. These problems will improve within a few days after the Lasik procedure. Regular follow-ups: Your surgeon will be asked to visit the hospital to complete all follow-ups to check your vision health properly.
Do’s & don’t post Lasik Procedure:
Avoid dirty water and dust from entering the eye for the first few weeks.
Avoid using soap and shampoo around the eyes.
Avoid swimming in pools, Jacuzzis, or sea for at least 4 weeks post-surgery.
Avoid hair coloring or any hair styling appliance for at least 2 weeks
Avoid the gym and exercise for at least 3 weeks.
Avoid any kind of Eye Makeup for at least 3 weeks.
When will I get my vision back? You can restart your work from the next day of the procedure. It is always important to take all prescriptions seriously which are given by ophthalmologists. Come for all the follow-ups as per the surgeon’s advice.

Hair Loss Clinic
Understanding the Role of a Hair Loss Clinic
The Scope of Services Offered
A hair loss clinic specializes in diagnosing and treating various forms of hair thinning and baldness. These clinics go beyond cosmetic concerns, offering medical insights into underlying conditions that may contribute to hair fall. Services typically include scalp analysis, laboratory tests, and non-surgical or surgical treatment options. By addressing both the symptoms and root causes, a dedicated hair loss clinic provides a structured and personalized approach to hair restoration.
Diagnostic Process and Scalp Evaluation
The first step in any treatment at a hair loss clinic is a thorough evaluation. This includes a detailed discussion of the patient’s medical history, lifestyle, and genetic background. Advanced scalp imaging and hair density measurement tools help professionals assess the severity and pattern of hair loss.
Conditions such as androgenetic alopecia, telogen effluvium, and alopecia areata are identified during this phase. Accurate diagnosis is essential, as each condition requires a different approach. Clinics that prioritize in-depth assessment are better equipped to deliver effective treatment plans.
Medical Treatments Available
Most hair loss clinics offer a range of non-surgical treatments. These include topical applications, oral medications, and low-level laser therapy. Prescription solutions aim to slow or stop further hair loss, while others work to stimulate new growth.
In some cases, nutrient deficiencies or hormonal imbalances are found to be contributing factors. A well-equipped hair loss clinic will address these issues with dietary guidance, supplements, or referrals to specialists. The goal is to create a comprehensive strategy for long-term improvement.
Surgical Options and Restoration
If medical treatments are not effective or the hair loss is advanced, surgical options may be introduced. Many hair loss clinics are affiliated with or operate as full-service centers that include surgical departments. Hair transplant procedures such as Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) and Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) are often performed in these settings.
A hair loss clinic that offers both medical and surgical solutions allows patients to explore all viable options under one roof, making the process more seamless and coordinated.
Preventive Care and Early Intervention
Prevention is a major focus of any reputable hair loss clinic. Early intervention can significantly delay or reduce the impact of hair thinning. Clinics often recommend lifestyle changes, stress management techniques, and long-term monitoring to maintain scalp and hair health.
Regular check-ups and progress tracking allow for timely adjustments to treatment plans. A proactive clinic not only treats existing hair loss but also works to prevent future deterioration.
Patient Education and Support
Education plays a central role in patient care. A professional hair loss clinic ensures that individuals understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and expected outcomes. Transparent communication is maintained throughout the process, helping patients make informed decisions.
Support services such as counseling and personalized follow-ups add value to the experience. Patients who feel informed and supported are more likely to remain consistent with treatment, which increases the likelihood of success.
Clinic Standards and Professionalism
Clinical standards, staff expertise, and facility hygiene are critical indicators of a clinic’s credibility. A well-regarded hair loss clinic operates under strict health regulations, employs trained medical personnel, and uses modern equipment. These standards help ensure that all procedures, whether diagnostic or therapeutic, are conducted safely and effectively.
Choosing a clinic with a strong reputation, experienced team, and verified patient results is key to achieving favorable outcomes in hair restoration.
The Psychological Impact of Treatment
Hair loss can affect confidence, social interactions, and self-perception. By offering targeted and evidence-based treatments, a hair loss clinic plays a significant role in restoring a patient’s psychological well-being. The transformation often goes beyond physical appearance, helping individuals regain control over their personal image and daily comfort.
With a structured approach to care, an experienced hair loss clinic offers a clear path forward for anyone struggling with thinning hair or bald patches.

GMP Certification: Ensuring Quality in Manufacturing
Introduction to GMP Certification Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification is a vital quality assurance standard that ensures products are consistently produced and controlled according to established quality benchmarks. It is widely used in industries like pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, and medical devices. GMP helps organizations reduce risks involved in production that cannot be eliminated through testing the final product.
Importance of GMP Compliance GMP compliance ensures the safety, quality, and efficacy of products. It involves strict adherence to guidelines related to hygiene, equipment maintenance, raw material sourcing, documentation, and staff training. By following GMP standards, companies not only safeguard consumer health but also build trust and gain a competitive edge in global markets.
Key Elements of GMP Standards The core components of GMP include controlled manufacturing environments, detailed documentation, clear operating procedures, regular audits, and quality control systems. Every aspect, from equipment calibration to packaging, must meet predefined standards. Proper labeling and batch traceability are also essential to prevent contamination, mix-ups, or errors during production.
Industries That Require GMP Certification Industries that produce consumables or products that impact health are required to follow GMP. These include pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, cosmetics, food and beverages, and medical devices. Regulatory bodies like the FDA, WHO, and ISO emphasize GMP compliance for manufacturers operating globally.
Steps to Achieve GMP Certification The process typically starts with a gap analysis to assess current practices. Organizations must then implement GMP protocols, train staff, and maintain documentation. A third-party certification body conducts an audit to evaluate compliance. Once the audit is passed, GMP certification is issued, followed by regular surveillance audits to ensure continued adherence.
Benefits of GMP Certification GMP certification enhances product quality, reduces recalls, and improves customer satisfaction. It boosts international market access and strengthens regulatory compliance. Moreover, it helps streamline internal processes, minimize waste, and increase operational efficiency by enforcing systematic production practices.
Conclusion GMP certification is not just a regulatory requirement but a commitment to producing high-quality, safe, and reliable products. Whether for local distribution or global trade, adopting GMP principles ensures long-term credibility, consumer trust, and sustainable growth for any manufacturing business.
