I'm a bit late in uploading to the #CreateWithCatCoq challenge, so I thought I'd upload my Flamingos on Monsterra Leaf Illustration that incorporates the texture challenge and the metallic challenge from prior weeks. The first picture is the original drawing and you can see texture not only on the leaf but on the flamingos as well especially on its beak. The second picture shows the use of metallic by changing the color of the leaf, but since I lost the texture with the full gold metallic, I also did a pin light blending mode with a clipping mask to get a fun rainbow effect. The Illustration is also done using #catcoq paper texture from one of her many amazing #skillshare classes. I love taking Cat's classes - even if I think I already know how to do something, I always learn some new tip or way of doing something new. I love the idea of rising by lifting others, and hope to pay it forward in my own artistic journey.
