Sam: I’ve become a bread crumb dealer to four crows at the lake. They pay me with a bit of everything. Like shiny things, fabric, or pens. But recently they paid me with a 20 dollar bill they found somewhere. So I decided to buy them some more expensive bread. They loved it. So they understand what to do. Give me money. I’ve probably racked up about 200 dollars at this point. Is it morally wrong though, I mean. They’re the ones who steal the money from others. Or perhaps they just have a big pile laying somewhere. Should I keep on doing this? Raoul: You sound like the start of a Batman villain.

The shopkeeper chuckled at his lover's response. Yes, that was how most people reacted to noticing Sam's shadow for the first time. It wasn't something that most people noticed unless he actually brought it to their attention--after all, who pays attention to a mere shadow? But Sam's shadow seemed to have a mind of its own. It worked quietly, unnoticed by most around him, but it was very much special.

"It's a small part of my signature spell~" Sam explained, but he didn't go into further detail. He was always so vague about what his signature spell really was... Even Raoul, who he was the most open to, didn't even know the name of the spell--much less what it really did. But at least it was a start to know that it was connected to Sam's strange shadow.

The shade reached out and grabbed Raoul's own shadow, yanking the man towards Sam who caught him with a flirtatious smirk. "However... It is a very convenient ability~"

Some peace and quiet. Grimm had wondered off to actually do some of his homework for some reason, and so Garth had finally time just to breath, taking a long drink from one of the soda's he'd found that he enjoyed in this world. Noticing Raoul, he raised one hand in greeting, giving the professor a welcoming smile. "Good evening, are you looking for a student?". Garth did tend to know where most of the trouble makers were these days, he was pulled into their messes often enough.

There was a silence for a moment as Miles thought about the question posed by Raoul. A hand moving to rotate the ring around his finger before moving it to hold the other's hand. "I have once.. It was an incredibly lonely feeling." Sure when they first encountered one another on the field, it wasn't the friendliest circumstances. Though over time, the two did have some things in common to where there wasn't much animosity when they crossed paths. Who knew that it would result like this? The two of them happily married and with the same occupation. "I don't think I would've found anyone else if we hadn't met back then.. I've always been so engrossed with my research and job. All past relationships didn't work out because of that.. You're the only one that could understand it but now I can't even go out like I used to anyway."

"A home?" Vargas repeated as eyes blinked. This was the first time the Gym Teacher found himself with the Magic Studies teacher. As much as they were co-workers there wasn't a time Vargas could even recall talking to the man one-on-one unless there were others around.

"How come?" curiosity piqued, there was very little Vargas knew of this man and was going to take the opportunity now to get to know him. Though, perhaps, his question could be seen as insensitive, prying even but it was not his intent.

I'm still dealing with a few things irl (among other things, i have my first appointment with a psychologist tomorrow so wish me luck) so it might take a few more days until I'm back but I miss my TWST OCs so I'll try and write a little more ^^

@plantanarchy omfg so I just read your tags and i actually did this today with my brand new razor blade and slashed the shit out of those bags it was so satisfying ��

it’s genuinely satisfying as fuckkkk especially when you get to doing it quickly like there is nothing more raw and validating than bending down and hefting a soggy heavy bag of soil onto your shoulders, dumping it in a wheelbarrow and slashing it open super quick.

though at my workplace they use a forklift to hang big ole bags of dirt over the hopper on the dirt machine and you have to stab them open like you’re gutting an animal and the dirt lets go and rains down in big clods and that is nearly as satisfying. nearly

When Sam was younger, he hopped through relationships like a frog. Constantly in and out of romance, he flirted with whoever caught his eye and then moved on to the next. But that was a long time ago. Now, Sam was much more responsible. Whereas before romance and parties were his whole life, he now had a whole shop to manage. It made him take things more seriously.

Maybe that made him more focused? Because even with the start of his relationship with Raoul, he still made sure to keep most of his focus on the mystery shop. A healthy balance. And maybe that meant less time devoted to his new partner, but he still had a livelihood to take care of. Raoul seemed to want things to move a bit faster, though.

A look of surprise crossed Sam's face when Raoul suddenly perched himself in the shopkeeper's lap. The intent was clear; he wanted Sam to pay attention to him instead. And that made the man smirk. " I'm going to guess you want something from me? " he teased, a flirtatious glint in his eyes.

“Mmmm… You just don’t want to get out of bed~” the shopkeeper teased with a smirk as he ran his fingers through Raoul’s hair. Classes at Night Raven College were currently on a break as—most—students returned home to visit their families. As such, Raoul didn’t have to worry about teaching, and the Mystery Shop opened later than usual for the students who didn’t return home. So the couple had a bit of extra time to stay in bed together.

Sam propped himself up with one elbow as he looked at his partner, his fingers continuing to run through Raoul’s dark hair. “I have to get up eventually, y’know… There are still little imps at the school who need access to the shop~” Or maybe Sam just wanted their Thaumarks…or perhaps it was a mixture of both. “Just a few more minutes, okay~?” Sam offered before placing a lazy kiss on the edge of Raoul’s lips.

Don't mind how the cavity on the statuette's chest is empty and in a shape that seem to fit that of Raoul's crystal earring perfectly.

Miles hadn't seen Raoul in a while, mainly because of his inability to travel as much as he used to. His leg injury saw to that and so didn't expect this at all. Neither did he expect to see his desk get damaged! He was about to snap at the other for the reckless move when the object caught his attention. An object he saw in ancient texts before. What in the world did Raoul get involved in this time?

".. Only if you tell me where you found it and why you have it." The teacher pointed to Raoul's earring, noticing the similar shape immediately as well. "And don't think for a second I don't see that is a part of this artifact. You can sit down and tell me all about it. You did come here for help, did you not?"
