Oh-! I get why this Chaos Sonic was so much easier to beat!

Listen, Beepo could talk, this one can't. One of the major reasons Sonic was unable to make a dent on Beepo wasn't just its battle prowess and agility. It was the words!

Chaos Sonic constantly kept saying things that specifically either riled Sonic up or hurt him emotionally. He couldn't focus on the fight because he was focusing on what he heard, and CS struck to kill with what he said.

see, the thing about GO s2 is that I genuinely believe it needed another go over in the script editing/ final cut stages because watching it as a whole makes the story feel so bloated and meandering - the tone is massively off from the very tightly written first season, lacking focus and not quite capturing the same wit or wisdom that the OG series and the book achieved

chishiya didn’t understand his cat much.

milo, his cat, hated most things like when random people would pet him or the sound of his owners doorbell which he would hiss at whenever hearing. chishiya was convinced the cat hated everything, until one early afternoon. the afternoon had been long for chishiya with studying for his upcoming big test that he had to take the week after, so much that he had forgotten all about his need to return his books to his local library. chishiya was a med student who lived off campus, but was heavily devoted to becoming a doctor.

he stayed to himself a lot so he didn’t really have friends which he didn’t mind at all. he liked being alone. “shit,” the med student hissed as he tried to cover the book more with his coat, jogging through the mild rain before finally making it to the library. a short meow was heard in chishiya’s left ear, through the silence of the library.

milo wouldn’t let chishiya leave the house without him gaining a noise complaint from his neighbors once he came back so he takes him almost everywhere. milo was carefully snug against chishiya’s side, blocking him from even one drop of rain. the short meow milo gave him once again made him guess that, that was milo’s way of saying “put me down”, so he did. the library allowed pets unlike most libraries around his town, that’s why he only comes to this one.

chishiya walks towards the front desk where a older woman stood behind a counter. he would guess milo was walking beside him because of his separation anxiety.“hello, i’d like to get an extension date on this book,” he spoke, holding the book out for the lady. she takes the book from his hand before speaking, “sure. one moment.” she turned her attention to the computer and started typing on the keyboard.

chishiya looks down by his feet, about to give milo a scratch on his head but finds he isn’t there. weird, he thought. he looks up and around the part of the library he could see without turning a corner or two, and finds milo nowhere. “chishiya, correct?” the lady asked looking up at him, making his attention go back to her. “yeah,” he nods and she nods back before continuing her typing.

little did he know the cat hadn’t wondered off too far, just behind a couple bookshelves, in a corner where you sat on a couch, by the window. you would come to the library almost every friday, making you a regular. normally, you would grab a book, sit in the red couch by the window and read until your eyes were sore. and that is exactly what you did today, so everything was the same, until you heard light meows coming from your right through the bookshelves. confused, you look up from your book and find nothing, but soon a cat comes from around a bookshelf, big eyes staring deeply into yours.

this wasn’t very normal. you knew no one who owned a cat that would come on a friday, but maybe someone new had come in. the cat doesn’t hesitate to jump onto the couch with you. you smiled, picking him up and laying him on your lap. “aren’t you pretty?” you whispered, petting his head. you watched as his eyes closed and he purred lightly on your lap. your eyes fall from his face to his neck to see if he had a collar but found nothing but white fur. “your owner must really trust you then,” you spoke, a grin still stuck on your face at his cuteness.

“milo!” you hear a fate whisper/yell through the bookshelves. the cats head lifts at the voice making you assume it was his owner. you stood from the couch, cat in hand, you make your way towards the whispering to find a icy white haired man. his back faced you as he looked around a bookshelf. “um,” you cleared your throat getting his attention. him now facing you, you give a friendly smile. chishiya was confused on why you were talking to him until he sees the cat leaning against your chest.

“is he yours?” you notice his lingering eyes on the cat. confusion took over chishiya’s features as he looked over you and the cat in front of him. why wasn’t he meowing his lungs out or scratching at every part of you to get away? it was as if his question was answer when milo pushed his head into your neck and purred happily, eyes closed. he likes you? “he…” his confusion pushes it’s way into his words making a stutter occur. “he is.”

you nodded and walked over to the man. “sorry. i can’t really say i found him because he was kinda the one to come find me,” you chuckled lightly, smiling softly. chishiya hadn’t seen you before and you had never seen him either. maybe you were new, is what he thought. as you stood in front of him, chishiya’s nose was filled with a lovely scent, not the scent of old books that circled the two of you, but a sweet scent. was it you? he questioned. “‘found you’?” he questioned you, aloud. you nod, “i normally sit by the window and he just came over. no one’s normally here on friday’s so i thought it was nice,” you smiled down at the cat, but chishiya wasn’t.

his eyes wondered across your face, soaking in all of your fractures like a sponge. your smile wasn’t short of beautiful. he seemed to catch himself holding his breath, letting out a sigh to continue the normal process. your eyes were full with something he couldn’t put his fingers on, but they pulled him in enough to want to know. “i’m guessing you have to study…” you started, snapping him from his day dream. your eyes lingered on the book in his hand. “so i’ll let you go,” you said, a soft smile practically burned on your face.

you pull the cat from snuggled against your chest to in front of you so chishiya could take him. he does as gestured and takes the cat. you wave to the man, with another one of your smiles and this time he seems to feel a grin pull upon his face. it lingered in after you had walked away, then he realized he never caught your name. he didn’t have time to chase you down like in one of those corny sitcoms, because he had to study so he mentally noted to himself to come next friday.

The guy who created Tangled: The Series hated Varian? I didn't know that. Did he ever said why?

It's been many years since this drama, but I'll try and sum it up to the best of my memory.

Basically, when TTS went into production and Varian's character was being created, a lot of people on the team, mainly the women, knew he'd be a fan favourite, but Chris Sonnenburg (the creator) dismissed them, because he didn't take the opinions and input of the female artists serious in general.

Then when the series released back in 2017, guess what happened... Varian became a fan fave overnight just as the artists predicted, but CS couldn't handle people liking Varian more than Cass (his fave, who btw is based off a woman he had a crush on in college). But that's only the beginning.

When s1 wrapped up there was a HUGE walk out of female artists, because they got tired of CS' bullshit, and it only got worse from there. CS joined a fan Discord and started bullying Varian fans, including kids, for "enjoying the show wrong", to the point he had to be kicked out of the server. And right before the series finale he Tweeted "You're missing the point of the show" to someone just wanting to know more about Varian before the show officially ended.

There were also a lot of last-minute changes made to Cass' s3 arc to make it resemble Varian's arc more (without understanding why Varian's arc worked), because CS was that desperate for the love we have for Varian to transfer to Cass instead.

Like, CS somehow found a way to make his hatred for a male character still be rooted in misogyny... Either way, long story short, I hate this man and 99% of my problems with this show all come down to him.

Sydcarmy´s blood deal

So, using the same knife without even washing it first was either a HUGE Health code violation, which Coco Storer wouldn´t have let slide, or a symbolic blood deal which was shown ON PURPOSE.

IMO the deal was to recognize the shortcomings each had to work on to get to a better place in their relationship.

Carmy needed to work on his communication congruence, meaning putting his money where his mouth was, actually following through and delivering on what he said, instead of saying one thing and doing another, consistently and fucking everyone up in the process because he´s UNRELIABLE, he means well, but does it wrong, so you can´t rely on him, ever. He means what he says, sure, but he doesn´t deliver consistently, so at the end of the day, you just can´t trust him. He´s acting like a child. Not mean, just immature, who can´t be trusted because of that lack of consistency and congruence that adult and effective communication, not to mention running a business or being part of a team in any project or endeavor, require.

Syd, on the other hand, needed to work on her honesty and accessibility, open up, be vulnerable with him like she was for a moment in S1 in the back alley and in S2 under the table.

Syd doesn´t lack honesty because she lies, but because for her communication to be effective, she needs to open up more and let him in, when Carmy wants to connect with her and brings up more personal stuff that exceed their strictly professional relationship in a bonding attempt that is meant to improve their rapport both in and outside the restaurant. He was, as usual, checking on her and being open with her, in one of the few moments throughout the season where we got a more human glimpse of who he is underneath all that rough and robotic exterior that simboliizes his inner and almost constant struggle between the man and the beast that he can be simultaneously or alternatively. His humanity is brought up by her, maybe not as often in S3, but surely, and his animal-like behavior was brought up by his quest to deliver on the only words he was ever truly congruent with, last season:

So till last season, they were still stuck in the same conflict they had been dragging since S1: She doesn´t feel heard by him, he doesn´t feel she will ever really accept him (aka: be good enough for her) unless he proves himself to her, that´s why he´s obsessed with giving her that star and self-boycots, because he´s at the same time afraid of failing at it, and thus, let her down AGAIN and lose his only chance to win her over, because without giving her a restaurant, a partnership, financial stability, a role as CDC, and a Michelin star, he can´t even begin to fathom he will be worthy of her ever seeing him as something other than a Chef, the most excellent CDC at the most excellent restaurant in the United States of America, a title he dreads because it brings him bad memories. He wants to be seen by her like a man and a potential prospect for a more "personal" connection, that´s why he´s always trying to bond with her and get her to open up every chance he gets, which aren´t many, and she keeps, most of the times, not letting him in.

The common denominators here are the 3 Cs:

COMMUNICATION

CONGRUENCE

CONSISTENCY

In that order, and they BOTH have to work on all 3.

So, when they shared that bloody knife, they sealed the deal of acknowledging that the other was right about demanding what they did because they both UNDERSTOOD each other. He understood she was right in pointing out his communication was fucked and was fucking everyone else up.

She understood he was checking on her and trying to connect on a different level, other than just professional. She showed him she understood that by asking him about how it was going with the whole "quit smoking thing" and trying to "get a taste of him",

showing she cared. Syd was trying to follow his lead in that "bonding" exercise, even when she didn´t like it at all.

She did it for him, to prove to him that for that moment at least, they were on the same page.

And when they try and put in the MUTUAL effort at the same time, they do re-connect briefly. They take turns at work and THEY WORK.

Just like they did for a short period of time here:

That alternation and clear and consistent communication is what works for them, even if it means talking about things that are not working, and it gets uncomfortable at times. When they talk it out like this, things work, and when they stop doing it, it ends up badly for both of them.

This symbolic deal they made and sealed with blood is the key to all that they will achieve in S4, all the conflicts that they keep dragging along, unsolved issues that so far have been holding them back in every aspect of their relationship, and therefore they will keep their words, they will apply the 3 Cs and get rid of the 4th one.

I wholeheartedly believe Carmy is telling Syd all of this; it´s his plea to get her to stay at the restaurant. He will speak the truth, as always, and THIS TIME AROUND HE WILL DELIVER AND FOLLOW THROUGH and SHE WILL FINALLY REALLY OPEN UP TO HIM (AND HIS FAMILY)

and as a result they will "bond" outside the restaurant as well and she will start seeing him as more than a chef and co-worker, she will start seeing and appreciating the man that Carmen Berzatto really is.

And all that can only lead to a SYDCARMY ENDGAME. PERIOD.

I know we always talk about Killian & his PTSD (especially after the Underworld arc) BUT. we never talk about Emma's so here I am to rectify that

you ever think about how terrified she must have been that none of it was real, that she was living false memories ?? I mean, think about it.

she had the false memories Regina gave her (s3), the knowledge in Isaac's book (s4) (she didnt have false memories but she knew others do & how that world functioned), the mind games with the darkness (s5), the wish realm memories & then the cursed memories (s6). and not to mention all the visions & nightmares she was shown to have.

my point is - after s6, she should have NO grip on reality and what's true anymore. fearing that any moment she would wake up & her entire life would be a lie - fabricated by a villain intent on keeping her complacent.

and because to me, CS is the heart of the show, I have to mention it

she would turn INCREDIBLY clingy w/ killian, needing constant, constant physical affirmation that he's there & that he's real. getting paranoid if she wakes up & he isn't there - even if he's just in the bathroom or getting water, or just woke up before her. feeling anxious that something is wrong if they're not together for more than a few hours. quite literally glued to his hip out of fear of losing him, fear that it was just some cruel play by hades, or the fairy, or gold, to make her think her happy ending was finally hers, only to eventually rip it away from her ?
