You don't have to hate on Cait because she told Iris she would get Frost back on her own. She just doesn't want the team to get hurt. If Iris said it you would be cheering her on.

Two things:

1. Producers have said that “We are the Flash” is a theme for the rest of the season. It’s not hating to point out that most of the characters seem to be stressing this team concept except CS who said she could get KF back on her own.

2. CS going it alone hasn’t worked in the past so she should probably stop trying this particular strategy.

S1: CS learns Ronnie is alive and tries to find a solution to “make him whole” on her own. When that doesn’t work out she decides to move on and “find someone new to be crazy about”. Poor Ronnie/Stein were living under a bridge eating garbage until Wells steps in months later and says they have to find Ronnie because he almost killed someone. And, oh look, it only took anti-psychotics to mentally stabilize them.

S2: CS is committed to finding Jay’s doppelgänger to save him but when Jay tells her his doppelgänger’s name is Hunter Z in 2x11 she fails to mention this to team. It’s not until months later in 2x18 that she tells the team Jay’s E1 doppleganger’s name and Harry makes the connection that E2 Hunter is a psychopathic killer.

S3: CS secretly takes a piece of the philosopher’s stone to try to figure out a way to get rid of her powers. She never finds a solution and Wally ends up suffering in the speedforce after Savitar manipulates him.

Yes, it’s true that if CS hadn’t taken a piece of the stone, Savitar would have gotten out of the speedforce earlier in 3x09 but it’s also questionable why Savitar just didn’t take the whole stone from his buddy Alchemy to begin with.

More S3: CS decides not to take the cure that the team and her mom developed. Instead she leaves the team all together and seeks the help of a criminal who is selling metas on the black market and spends months as her muscle.

If Iris consistently did something that had a negative impact on people or delayed the team in some way I would have an issue with that too. But she doesn’t.

I'd say your assessment of Cait is about right. I just rewatched season 3, and she was awful during 3x07. She was willing to let Barry die! Iris had to beg her to help him, then the same in 3x12 with Iris' arm. But, in 3x09 she wanted to make snow 😕. Anyway, I just think the writing for her character was pretty poor in season 3. Especially since I don't think the KF/CS difference was properly fleshed out. I'm still a bit confused as to KF's motivation, if she wasn't a different person.Thoughts?

Well… I actually didn’t get ticked off at Cait until 3x15, but I def agree the KF/CS biology wasn’t fleshed out well at ALL. That was one of the most disappointing aspects of the season for me.

Regina did not embrace evil after she lost Daniel. She embraced it after she had the false hope that she could revive him and it didn't work (2x05). So it makes sense that Regina didn't turn full evil when she lost Robin. BUT when this version of Robin disappears from her life, THAT is when it could parallel her first descent to darkness. Especially if Emma is getting married. Regina's been known to be jealous of Emma and declaring it's not fair that Emma has things she doesn't have (3x09, 5x21)

Oh a bit of a challenge....   Nice!   Ok, you want to separate the times that she lost Daniel before she turned EQ?  I can work with that.   OQ were strong at the end of S3, she had him, Henry, her friends, she was happy - which is ‘why’ she was able to use light magic to defeat Zelena.  Then 4x01 - Marion is back, she loses Robin (#1) she loses hope - Emma tells her that her job is not done yet because Henry brought her there to bring back the HE.  Regina didn’t go EQ, but lost hope.  What happened?  In 4x08 Snow gave her a hope speech and Robin found the extra page 23 and told her that your fate can take many paths so even if you miss one you can still have a bright future - gave her hope.  But then just as he told her that he had chosen her, she lost him again because he had to take Marion over the town line (#2) - she lost hope but didn’t turn EQ - that would be the parallel to Daniel. So no, she didn’t turn EQ, however she did resort to ‘her’ story, that of wanting to take short- cuts - this time in having the author write her a HE.  Then in 4x19 she got him back.  However in 5x21 he was killed. (#3) - no EQ again, but low hope - again short-cut by removing her evil side.  So saying goodbye to this Robin in 14, I believe is going to be because she is sacrificing her happiness for his will be (#4)

This entire season for Regina, it’s about facing her past, looking inside of herself and accepting that she is a lot of things (just like all of the characters) and the WW for her was to show her that a) the EF was better w/o the EQ b) she no longer felt comfy in that skin c) and that Robin wasn’t better w/o her.

That’s why I believe that this Robin is her ‘guide’ just like in her story of The Golden Bird (and yes it is page 22 in the book) to make her look inside and just like Emma did, realize that she is ‘who’ she is because of her past and that person is the one who loved Robin, her Robin (who became Robin Hood because of his past). 

And you’re right, Regina has been known to be jealous of Emma, in the past. Jealousy is one reason she went dark after all, but I believe she’s moved beyond her jealousy of Emma. 

And just in case you’re wondering... I think in 14 she fights w/ herself and either the EQ metaphorically dies or they integrate.  In 15-16 I believe she was on the journey w/ Snow/Emma and in 17 I think Regina is going to go into David’s dream w/ Snow to help break the curse.  I know Adam has mentioned Ladyhawke several times and it seems the Bishop who cast the curse is the EQ and Regina is Phillip.  

I’m still anticipating a S3 type of finale and based on NA’s Q/A the CS journey w/ a twist will be in the finale.

I really do not have any chill iam so mad the cw flash account do not promte candice like literally nothing so i was wondering if maybe we could ask at a con or something or even at san diego comic con that who is running that account and why they go out there way to not promote the leading lady i really would hate to think that it is actually dp running that account and if we find out its her i really want the fandom to drag and expose her or call out who ever runs that account

DP is running that account, or at least she has the password and sometimes uses it, I’m 99.9% sure of it. 

Exhibit 1 : Candice posted the BTS pic of her, Rick, Grant & JLM before Rick yet the flash account RTed Rick.

Exhibit 2 : Last night, the flash account legit RTed every tweet from the writers room except the 2 that featured Iris.

Exhibit 3 : The flash account is ALWAYS super quick to RT DP, whether it be BTS pics, promo tweets before episodes etc... I can’t even remember the last time they RTed Candice (the most recent tweet that featured Iris was the WA kiss from 3x09 right after the episode aired)

Exhibit 4 : Both 3x10 & 3x11 were FILLED with Iris, how many tweets did they make/RT including her? ZERO. And there were like 2-3 featuring CS from 3x10 alone.

Exhibit 5 : They literally don’t RT anyone on the cast more than they do DP, not even Grant himself (when he was on twitter). Every single time something big related to the show happens and everyone on the cast tweets about it, they ALWAYS only RT DP’s 

Exhibit 6 : The week 3x07 aired there were like 2989283 different tweets and RTs from the account when usually it’s only like 5-6 posts max to promo each episode 

EDIT : I just checked & the last time they RTed Candice was the day of the S3 premiere back in october...........

Revisit of Flash 1x08 & 1x09

Like most Flash fans and WA fans in particular I’ve having withdrawals during this hiatus, so been re-watching. Back to S1 and some of my most fav WA moments are in these two eps. I wish I had gifs to make these points but I think most WA fans will see the beauty. So several observations:

1) “Then I see her smile, man that can’t be science!” We see 1x08 with Barry waxing poetic about feelings vs science and stops in front of jitters to deliver this fav line. This also sets the feel for the rest of the ep. The influence of emotion and the revelation of our inner selves. 

2) I see why SB went viral. In these two eps alone we can almost see Caitlin pining  for Barry. I have no problem with SB fans, think they are a bit delusional but I like DP and she does CS justice. I can separate the art from the artist however I find it has not always been so in this fandom(which is sad for both sides of the pond.). But I digress. Anyway, Caitlin’s concerns, protectiveness and her constant concerns with Barry’s meet ups with Iris(she sets his shoulder while she questions him about being with Iris) for me on this go around she seem a little...jealous. She even gets a little short with Felicity when Barry and Felicity arrive at SL and Felicity has taken her shirt off cause it is on fire. After saying hi, she asks why she is there and says, “not Barry right?” This leads to them trying to defend their non-relationship.  Maybe it was meant to play out like this to feed the SB fever and if so it did, but only from Caitlin’s POV. I saw the pull from her side, but never did I sense the same from Barry. She was a friend to him and that is what I sense from him when they are in the same room together. In fact to be honest I would ship Caitlin and Cisco. I can see that friendship becoming MORE, especially when Caitlin talks about seeing Ronnie and Cisco is there for her. 

3) We also see in these two episodes Eddie’s open awareness of Barry’s feelings toward Iris that both surprises her and I think intrigues her as well. It’s after she goes to Barry and brings it up and he denies then rescinds and confesses his feelings that Iris starts dealing with the emotional ramifications in her own terms which we later see in 1x15.  I also know many felt Iris was a bit whiny/sometimes demanding in S1 and I must admit as much as I love Iris there where some scenes(i.e. the group date ) when I just wanted to yell - girl stop, but I fault the writing not the artist. But it could have also stemmed from the fact that Iris was at odds with her own heart and her sense of loyalties and THAT can make anyone a bit out sorts if you know what I mean.  

4)Parallels. We often see a lot of this in the Flash, things come full circle sort of speak. 

In 1x09. We saw Iris sitting on Eddie’s lap, his hand resting protectively along her hip as if to say, she belongs to me.  Barry no doubt saw this as well which makes me wonder if in 3x09 that thought ran though his mind as he did the same. Also since he was thinking about what had happened in the future.

5) Things I would like to see repeated:

The morning kiss scene between Eddie and Iris would be something I would like to see between WA. Things will be so tense back half of S3 we may not get this kind of playfulness, but it would be welcome at some point, to see in their relationship.

Barry giving Iris a replica of her Mom’s ring again, but this time for her finger and not to wear around her neck.

About that post your reblogged...I don't get why people think that Barry is traveling to the future to save Iris. He's not and 3x09/the promo made it clear that he's just trying to prevent that future from happening. And of course that person made a post with a couple digs at Iris. They can't praise CS without tearing down Iris. Just not possible. And of course once again Cisco is ruined for blaming Barry and Iris is heartless for not blaming him? Lol.

To be fair, I’ve seen some WA fans think he’ll travel to the future, too. As I said in a past ask, I think he’ll be vibing to glimpse the future, like Ben Affleck’s character did in Paycheck, to prevent death and destruction.

But trailers are sometimes misleading so until the show picks up again and we see, I get people being unwilling to take it for granted.

And sure you COULD praise CS without tearing down IW, but where would be the fun in that?

I’m honestly confused about what they want of the characters since the character apparently did the exact opposite of what they should do in terms of blaming Barry. There’s anger that characters blamed him although the poster blamed him enough to clearly be angry at him and like him less and tag it anti Barry.

So I’m not annoyed by their opinion because…whatever. It’s theirs. I’m just confused. If they didn’t blame Barry and didn’t want the characters to blame him, I get that. If they did and wanted the characters to, I get that. I even get it if they think some should blame him, whose lives were permanently negatively altered - like Cisco and Caitlin - but others whose lives weren’t shouldn’t. That makes sense.

Blaming Barry to the point of resentment and liking that Caitlin didn’t (though she did, but it was for less time) even makes some sense - it’s admirable not to hold grudges, and you can respect someone for being a bigger person than we sometimes are. But to then also hold it against Cisco for having the same reaction YOU ARE HAVING? That’s the part where I just don’t understand where a person’s coming from. If you can hate Barry for doing things that harm your faves (and aren’t even offset by giving you something you want that I saw several SB/CS fans wishing or expecting Flashpoint to give them), then why is Cisco a piece of shit for blaming him when he was one of the people directly harmed?

I don’t get it.

Honestly? IDK. It seemed like that’s where they are going with the two ~moments~ they shared in 3x09 (SL hallway + her offering him a drink). I mean it wasn’t shippy per say but it just came out of nowhere? That’s why I’m thinking maybe it’s supposed to lead somewhere. Also the on-set pics of them together made it seem that way as well.

As for his GF LOL, maybe he lied ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
