💫 Now, if my sona was an actual character in her sources, I'd certainly hope the (self-)ships would have their own fandoms! But, if we're talking about what'd be more likely...

🕶️ Karamatsu x Freedom would definitely have a fanbase, at the same levels of Karamatsu x Chibita (and you know what, I'll be a bit cocky; it might even be more popular than it!). But, once it started being implied to be canon & was eventually made canon, it'd become an incredibly controversial ship due to the fact its existence challenges the entire point of the show.

📚 Gary x Libs would have a fandom, though it'd be less popular than Monarch a Trois before it was made canon. After it was made canon though?... I'm not sure. Part of me wants to say it'd blow up in popularity, but the other part of me feels like it wouldn't change much; I feel like I don't see a lot of content for canon ships in the show tbh, outside of Monarch & Dr. Mrs. The Monarch.

🐚 Spyke x Airianna would be the most popular ship with Spyke, but in terms of it being discussed in the overall fanbase, I think it'd be a rarepair. Them being canon feels like information that you'd have to dig for in side sources or in implications from dialogue, so I doubt that'd change much.

🎖️ I'll be so real, G.I. & Liberty might be one of the most popular ships in the show. G.I. & Nina's in like, the top 3 popular ships as far as I've seen? If they can be that high, then G.I. & Liberty would go crazy I have full faith. ESPECIALLY if it was canon; I know people would be talking about fight scenes they're in that have moments of them doting on each other, or of whatever angst scenes happen with them-

🥼 I think Kukui x Lady Liberty would be a bit of a rarepair, purely because it gets buried under Kukui x Burnet & Kukui x Guzma. Once it becomes canon though, I think it'd get thrusted into popularity just from the fact it's inherently tied to another canon, popular ship (Kukui x Burnet).

For the Date Everything ships... I'm not really sure how that'd work. Like with Liberty being a character in the game? Because she'd essentially just be the homeowner. But, assuming her/my personality got to shine in there & they all had a canon endgame-

🧰 Hoove x Liberty would be a rarepair, a side effect of Hoove being an underrated character with a wonkily written route. But I just know the few fans of it would enjoy the depth they have please guys-

🪂 In general, Liberty x The Hanks would have a fandom, because The Hanks are really popular characters in the game (& it's entertaining to see one lone person have to wrangle a herd of himbos). I don't think it'd be the most popular ship with them though; I think they'd get trumped out by just... the Hanks as a polycule themselves.

I was gonna write a super long post but I’ve talked so much about Animal Crossing on here it’s not really worth it XD

But anyway, a short thought: now that we know more about the Switch 2’s processing power and storage and we’re seeing things like Mario Kart and Donkey Kong get an “open world” aspect for their franchises, I think this feature will be brought into Animal Crossing as well. I’m not sure exactly how, but I’d love for us to have a whole “world” to live in/explore so there would be different environments that we could visit, place our houses, and explore with or for villagers. They could utilize modes of transportation like ocean liners, airliners, and trains to convey us between these environments. I’m thinking whole continents, or a large continent with a variety of environments like the Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom map. I’m envisioning a city as the base of operations in terms of where Tom Nook sets up, but from there we can choose whether to live there or set our house up in, say, a tropical jungle, a Southwest ranch, a magical forest, and so on. I would love for the devs to follow through on the creative customization players did with New Horizons to emulate these types of environments and it would also give them more scope to bring some NPCs back that we didn’t have in NH simply because of the extra space. Tourneys could be held in different places on the map to keep it interesting and this would also widen the scope for introducing new plants, bugs, and fish!

Think of it: KK Slider/DJ KK World Tour! Go to the jungle for a chance to find Flip or Rowan, head to the Arctic areas for penguins, climb to the highest mountain top for Apollo! I think it would be fun :)

But let me not ramble on… This may all be a pipe dream but I’d love to see stuff like this in the new game.
