Positivity
“Anyway, it isn’t forever,” Chris said, “eventually you’re dead.” And we laughed. Besides, everything is better now. Not us but implants, blenders, children, heart attacks. There’s never been a better time to be alive than when you are. If you are. Black-throated blue warbler says chewchewchewchewchewww drawing the last chew out like a sucking drainpipe to say he has mated and is satisfied. Say what you will about that. His joy is uncontainable and yet it has a form, a measure, to make it clear he’s not upset or feeling anxious. And if he’s bragging, well, it’s no shame to brag that you’re happy. Honeybees cavorting on the goldenrod are working toward a common goal they’ll never see achieved. They lay down the walls of their cathedral of honeycomb and will not cope the spire, busy in the present task, trusting that the work continues. I’d like to write a children’s book called everybody dies. Upbeat, of course, and pragmatic. You only got so many days. Don’t think about death; when you’re ready, death will think about you. Go out tonight with your friends, like Chris, who went out big or not at all. Have a ball. Plan ahead.

VERY SPICY ask warning…who initiates public hand holding with MC and who waits for them to initiate😳🫣
Pull the kids away from the screen for this one, everyone!
Not big on PDA in general but will absolutely beam with satisfaction if MC grabs their hand: Wyatt
Will reach for that secretive hand-holding under the table in the public space, their little secret and mutual support: Sam
The gold medallist in yearning, will hover by MC's side very close, skin basically touching, until they simply slip their hand into MC's in one sweep as if they haven't been sweating it the past five minutes: Romero

@likeacharacterinamusical liked x for a starter from Rose Tyler for your pick :)
Tumblr media
Sitting on the table and eating an apple while they had a meeting, Rose listened as they came up with a plan to close the Rifts that had been appearing across Pete's World London. "Why don't we send a pulse that covers the city and cover them all at once?"
"That would require tremendous power." Kate Stewart pointed out after a moment.
"Well, we've got the TARDIS." Rose suggested. "The TARDIS has near infinite power."
Kate thought about it then agreed. Together they headed down to the science labs and announced their idea. Rose watched them get to work until Kate convinced her to go rest. Rose laid down in her office and rested for a little while. By the time she awoke again it was dark and Rose decided to check the progress in the lab.
When she got there, there was no one. Rose thought it was odd since Kate had ordered almost every available scientist on the job. Rose saw a light on the other side coming from one of the disused labs and headed towards it.
When she peered in side, her heart sank. There was an exact replica of the Time machine from the parallel world in which she sent Donna back to change the future so the Doctor would live. Rose walked inside and looked for the power line. She found it quickly and traced it back to the TARDIS. Adrenaline flooded her system.
She pressed her comms, but someone grabbed her. Rose kicked and yelled, but they were stronger.
"Sorry Rose, I can't have you interfere with this." A male voice dragged her back to the time machine room and threw her down into the middle. Before she could do anything, she was tied up and had her comms removed.
"You can't do this. UNIT will stop ya." Rose protested.
He stood by a computer. Rose knew him as her assistant. She'd been training him to be another agent in the field. He rubbed his chin. "I just needed the TARDIS to make it work and now I got it." He grinned. "No where should I send you too." "Stop this!" Rose shouted. "You're putting millions of lives at risk. You dunno how dangerous this thing is!" She tried to pull at her bonds.
"That's the thing. I don't care. Hmm. I think 1700s will do." He turned a dial and a bright light shined in Rose's face and a wind picked up. Within a few minutes, Rose was gone.
* That was six months ago.
Instead of being sent to God-knows-when Pete's World, Rose was sent to the Doctor's World. She'd resumed her commission with UNIT in this world and got herself her own flat.
