For you, my darling, it is of course Adelaide Hawke and Sebastian Vael. (In this case, right after the end of Act III) You are a big part of why I finally managed to write again, so I hope this means even a fraction as much to you as it does to me 💜
She comes back to herself when she hears the singing.
The explosion had knocked something loose in her chest, her heart, her head; she'd felt the Chantry fall apart in her bones and she'd broken apart too. What followed after had been chaos, frenzied and desperate and bloody and aching and fatal.
Not literally, apparently, she realizes as she blinks, blinks, barely stopping herself from rubbing at the grit in her eyes and making it feel worse.
She remembers stones falling, magic flaring, demons, mages. Orsino.
Meredith.
Fatal was right. Too much of Kirkwall died today.
There's smoke in her throat, in the sky, smog so thick she can't even see the moons, much less the stars. But neither the Gallows nor High Town are doing more than smoldering, finally, so she sits on a chunk of rock and tries to remember who she is.
She fails.
She listens to the music instead.
It's not just one thing, no, not just one voice, not even just one song. Not even just one language, one people. There's common, mostly, but not entirely, too many consonants from one direction, too many vowels from another, too high or too low to fit together and yet they do, they do, whispers and melodies from all directions, splintering in the breeze until they're from everywhere and nowhere at once.
Lamentations from on high, dirges from below, a lullaby sneaking out from the shadows. The steady beat of a sea shanty spills out from the docks, keeping time as the sailors work, and there's even a drinking song from somewhere that's desperately failing at being light and charming and instead just reminds the listeners to swallow, refill, swallow again.
Her throat's dry as she swallows along with them, wherever they are.
Kirkwall lives.
There's a grunt, and warmth at her side. There's someone taller and broader than her, smelling like ash and exhaustion, dried blood and something else, something not what she expected, not what she wanted, something almost wrong...
Leather. Metal.
Warden.
Hawke closes her eyes and leans against Carver's arm; she's too short even sitting to hit his shoulder properly. Her eyes still hurt, gritty and burning and too dry despite being closed.
She squeezes them tight, releases.
Again.
She can sense a skirling dancing echo coming through the Veil itself, the demons and spirits gathering and celebrating and mourning and who knows what else, tasting the destruction here as it spills through to there.
She wonders if there's anyone else alive who can hear it the way she does, the Maker's Chant from Beyond, resonating through lyrium and magic and faith in a way she's never been able to explain to anyone.
She wonders if Vengeance is finally free, if he got to be Justice again, if he crossed beyond the Fade to somewhere else, if Anders—
If Sebastian was at the Chantry when it blew.
She gags, hopes the bile burning in her throat stays down, turns and pushes her forehead against the padded gambeson, hard, harder. Hard enough she can feel Carver shift just a little to brace himself against the pressure.
"Surprised you took off your pauldron before you joined me," she rasps out.
Carver scoffs. "Easier ways to give you a headache."
"You are uniquely skilled at that."
Carver leans away, far enough she almost falls over, a sharp jerk before she manages to right herself. She tries to glare up at him, but she can feel the dark circles under her eyes, can see the lines of fatigue across his forehead, tightening his temples.
"Thank you," she says instead.
"Ugh, sincerity." He drapes an arm over her shoulders, pulls her close into a hug even as he mock-complains. His voice cracks and they both pretend not to hear it. "Too tired, stop that."
She sighs in agreement, feels the tears finally start to well up in her eyes, half pain, half relief.
She must make some sound despite herself, because Carver's arm tightens, his voice low and steadier as he speaks again. "I'm sure he's fine. Too blasted optimistic—"
"To be blasted?" She manages when his voice cuts off as he hears what he accidentally said.
He grunts, apologetic and embarrassed and somehow still consoling despite it all.
She tries to smile, feels it wobble across her face and gives it up, but she squeezes him back.
Please, Andraste. Let him be right.
Carver starts humming, low and mostly on-key, slightly slower than usual but still recognizably Trials.
Her eyes overflow, warm and wet slowly trickling down her cheeks. That was the first Canticle I ever heard Sebastian sing...
Her shoulders slump, and she lets her mind go, stops herself from wondering how long it's been since the explosion, how long they were fighting, how much longer it might be until she knows.
Instead she just listens, feels the hum in Carver's chest move through him and into her, loses herself in the familiar rhythm.
She hums along, now and then, hears someone else sing a phrase or two as they pass by, or settle down to rest near them. She's not really listening anymore, feeling the thrum of Kirkwall around her, surviving despite everything, so she's not sure when it changes.
Not sure when there's a familiar voice underneath it all, warm and tired and right here.
She bolts upright, faster even than her eyes can open, and she's wrapped up in Sebastian's arms before she properly sees him. She coughs, sobs, chokes, makes herself breathe. She inhales the same ash and sweat and grief that everyone smells of, and one more thing, incense, faint and sweet and warm, and she's never going to move away, never, not if it risks losing that comfort for real, for ever.
She feels his lips press against the top of her head, huffs out something that's almost a laugh against his chest. There's no possible way her hair doesn't taste terrible.
"Buidheachas do Andraste," he murmurs, voice rough and damp, and she holds him tighter, still crying, unable to stop.
You're alive, you're alive, you're here, she thinks, over and over and over. Thank you, Andraste, thank you.
We're alive.

I don't care if you are in the fandom or read it please vote I'm indecisive as heck

Edit: Okay, I freaked bc I usually have a time limit but it's the weekend so that's extended by an hour, haha...
So for the fic, it's called Fire and Rain and it's a rottmnt fic about F!Donnie going back in time. It's basically every f!Leo fic except it's the purple one
The fic is post-Kraang-vasion, hence why the Lair would be destroyed. I forgot about this completely, so here are the options more in depth
A.) It is what it says. I would ignore the fact that I messed up and keep the Hamatos at the Lair. I would re-write in little details for damage though
B.) April would tell F!Donnie that they moved locations due to an unstable structure and where they would move, so he goes there as soon as he leaves
C.) April forgets to tell him, so he has to figure it out, be sad, panic, call April, and have her tell him about the move as his emotions escalate even more

I had to install a whole other font just to get some characters working in my Rich Text Editor for notes on something.
But apparently, I accidentally pasted in my section on everything, and the characters work fine on Tumblr?????? What? Okay? Like what am I gonna need that for anyway?????
Separate but related revelation: I thought NOISZ ARC⌖CODA's symbol was the supposed to be coda from musical notation (y'know, given the name). But it's a different Unicode character?
Coda is this: 𝄌. This one (⌖) is a symbol for position tolerance in engineering? At least according to Wikipedia (great source, I know/s). I'm guessing that it was intentional because coda isn't as widely supported by fonts as the position tolerance symbol. Again, I literally had to download a new font to get coda working in my RTF but did literally nothing for ⌖, and it was fine. (LAST⌖ARC also uses the position tolerance one and not coda).
The distinction only really matters when typing the name, and honestly, even if it looks wrong to me, I'll still use the position tolerance character and not the coda one. It's just that… I can't unsee it now.

i haven’t written much conan fic tbh so the choices were very limited but a;lskfj;afjd here
“Are you sure you’re not doing it on purpose?” Reiko asks Conan pointedly after the piece draws to a close, narrowing her eyes at him. Sure, she’d bought the “he’s just tone deaf” excuse the first time, but that was before he demonstrated what was essentially perfect pitch during the bombing at the concert hall several days back—and such sharp ears just don’t seem congruous with such terribly off-key singing.
“No, Reiko-sensei, really!” The freckled boy immediately pipes up in defense of his friend. “Conan-kun just can’t sing.” His statement is met with murmurs of overwhelming affirmation from the other children and an irritated frown from Conan, but even so, Reiko furrows her brow in disbelief.
“This boy perfectly mimicked the pitch frequencies of phone dial tones right down to the exact hertz values. I find it hard to believe someone like that can’t manage such a simple melody as this.” Not to mention, Conan has already proven himself to be incredibly cunning, and he demonstrated quite the sneaky streak during that recent case investigation. Reiko wouldn’t put it past him to be fooling everyone into thinking he couldn’t sing as a way of getting himself excused from the performance—or hell, even just as some sort of grand practical joke.
“But it’s true!” The very same girl who defended him last time cries out, pouting. “Conan-kun can’t sing for his life! Once, he actually tried to sing at a Two-Mix concert and it was terrible!”
“H-hey, Ayumi, hold on!” Conan hisses frantically, his cheeks tinting pink and his eyes suddenly going wide at the girl’s words. The reaction gives Reiko some pause; he could just be acting, admittedly, but as far as she can tell, that at least seems like genuine embarrassment.
“Ah, I remember that!” the heavyset boy loudly yells. “The whole crowd started booing and everything!”
“Yes it was quite a spectacle,” the light-haired girl at Conan’s side adds, shooting a teasing glance at her bespectacled friend.
“…Wait, Haibara, you weren’t even there!” Conan proclaims, whirling on her. “How would you know?!”
“You’d be amazed the things you can find on the internet, Edogawa-kun.”

the hold music is out of tune again, skipping and repeating and distorting in on itself. it's like being stuck in an airport at 2am between layovers, when everything is off-kilter just a little and nothing really makes sense. it's not your fault the plane took off without you; you didn't know that was your flight. you don’t know a lot of things, really, but you know you’re not supposed to be here. you know you’re stuck somewhere that isn’t the correct place to be stuck. the hold music just keeps ringing and ringing. at this rate, they'd better invite you to your own funeral, or you'll forget it was supposed to happen.
the hold music is out of tune again, which is mildly grating when it's already been a bad day. you're just trying to call to get your ticket to a better life rerouted, and things just keep going wrong. the ghosts that staff the airport keep side-eyeing you, and you wonder if maybe you got on the wrong plane – slow going down the river styx, you’ll have to take a bus at this rate. you’re at least trying to be polite back, even if phantasms can’t offer much in the way of friendly smiles. you wonder, not for the first time, if anyone at your destination knows you’re headed their way. you think, well, they'd better invite you to your own funeral, or you won't be there on time.

We get to start over - Ass end is still an end...the Coda cottontail.

We've hopefully all seen the final by now and have picked up on the many visual and dialogue similarities to the Terminus/Coda era.
I would actually argue that it's not just similarities, that they infact have deliberately been using season 4/5 scripts and storyboards, as a guide while writing these episodes.
We now know that the show or main music piece, as i like to think of it, is 11 seasons long.
That means the half way mark of this musical story is at the 5.5 mark, or Coda 5.8
Below are four definitions of Coda, all are correct, all are used differently, and I believe they are using all these meanings in TWD.
Definitions of Coda
1. Coda comes from the Latin word cauda, which means “tail”.
2. A coda is a passage at the end of a piece of music that brings the music to a close.
So...Coda is the tail/end, and that's why we saw Coda (508) so heavily repeated at the tail end of the series 1124.
3. What does DC al coda mean in music?
Go back to the beginning
Phrase. d.c. al coda. (music) A music notation roughly meaning "go back to the beginning, playing everything again up to the coda."
508 was a maker for them to start again and they played through the music repeating it until they doubled it getting us to 11.
So, what have they done since Coda 508?
They took the old storyboards as a template, while writing in new comic book material on top of the old, and repeated it up until the end of the series...
but that's just it...it's not over yet, and that's where the final definition of Coda comes in...
4. In music notation
The instruction "To Coda" indicates that, upon reaching that point during the final repetition, the performer is to jump immediately to the separate section headed with the coda symbol. For example, this can be used to provide a special ending for the final verse of a song.
A coda is a musical tag, or extension, which usually follows the main body of the piece
The concluding passage of a piece, typically forming an addition to the basic structure.
Outside of music it can also be used to describe:
A concluding event, remark, or section.
"his new novel is a kind of coda to his previous books"
It seems we have played through the music and repeated it from the coda mark of (508) and while we have reached the end of the replaying in 1124, we are still yet to see the tail/Coda which is the conclusion, that is formally distinct from the original structure (the main show).
The spin-offs are the Coda to the main piece of music.
As frustrating as it is, this has taken so long to play out, the Coda is still to come.
How does the cottontail connect to Coda?
Why did Norman get a cottontail tattoo? 🐇
And...why was it so prominently featured in Rest in peace 1124?
They could have covered it with make-up, or had him use the other arm, but instead they let it be shown front and centre, infront of Judith who is Beth 2.0.
And yes I know his Mingus tattoo is partially showing too but...
I suggest Norman got the cottontail tattoo as a representation of the Coda which would bring Daryl's happy ending and the love of his life back to him.
How do I get there?
The repetition we have seen in season 11 includes the Claimers.
In season 4 episode 15 we saw Daryl with the Claimers and he is hunting a cotton tail...

I have written about this episode many times before because it stands out to me, as being extremely important to Beth's return.
It's set between two important Junctions
1. Daryl being with Beth at the Funeral home and losing her.
2. Daryl finding her again (at Coda)
It's the time between her being lost and then found again, which is ultimately what we have always believed Coda would bring.
In-between these junctions we see the Claimers and Terminus. Themes we have just seen major repeats of with the Reapers/Leah stoyline and the Commonwealth/trainlines stoyline.
When Daryl and Claimer Len are fighting over who the cotton tail belongs to...

Len guesses Daryl is messed up because he lost a piece of tail (coda) or...in this instance, Len is referring to a sexually attractive young woman, which is the slang meaning of bunny.
It's no coincidence Len talks about this topic of a lost love interest for Daryl, while they are fighting over the cotton-(^tail)/bunny.
The cottontail/bunny is Beth, but it also represents the Coda or (tail end of the music) that Daryl lost in Beth.
Len and Daryl fighting over the cottontail could well play into a future story, where Daryl and another love interest fight over Beth, but that's a theory for another day.
The cottontail is then cut in half by Claimer Joe...

Who says to Daryl "The ass end, is still an end"
Ass being the tail or end is one of the definions of Coda.
So Beth is represented by the rabbit/bunny.
ClaimerJoe's statement about Daryl getting the ass end of the bunny, is an indication he will have to wait till the ass end (coda) for his cottontail.
The d.c al Coda meaning to repeat the music won't bring her back he has to wait till the ass end.
Coda...
upon reaching that point during the final repetition, the performer is to jump immediately to the separate section headed with the coda symbol.
The separate section, is the conclusion to the music but it follows the main body of a piece.
Len also asks Daryl, if it was one of the littluns that he lost, meaning a child.
So, the cottontail becomes a representation of a child (Judith) and Beth and the different meanings of Coda.
Why did they allow Norman to show it so prominently in 1124?
Because it's repeating all this symbolism from season 4/5 to season 11 band linking it the codas.

The cottontail gets cut in two halves (508 with Beth, and 1124 with Judith) which is two similar or repeating parts of the same story.

The tail or end of the series and the end of 1124, the very last scene we see, is Judith saying to Rj "We get to start over", which is one of the definions of Coda.
Judith gives the Coda signal by saying "We get to start over".
We didn't see a coda sign but she verbally gave it to us. Indicating another repeat in the story is coming but as it's outside the main body of the show we are heading to the final Coda.
Judith says:
"we get (TO) start over (Coda)
What is this final but separate repeat about? The ones who live...

Beth is definitely one of them.
In Grady, Dr Edwards make the claim that basically, the weak don't get to live out in the world, including himself and Beth in that category. He says "We're not the ones who make it...or basically we're not the ones who live.
Dawn eventually realised Beth was not weak, and she told Beth she was wrong about thinking she was...moving Beth into the category of one who lives.

Back at the church in season 5, right before going to find Beth at the hospital, Rick says the same line to Carl, that Daryl says to Judith before he takes off on his motorcycle adventure at the end of 1124.
This repeat line, places us back at the time point where they are setting out to find Beth.
So to recap the last things we see from 1124...
First we have Daryl saying exactly what Rick said before heading out to find Beth in season 5.
Second we see Rick in a repeat scenario of what happened at Grady, with his failed escape attempt.
And then finally Judith basically says "To Coda"
It's not a strech to say, Daryl leaving will eventually lead him to find Beth...
We know that Daryl is heading to France, this in itself, is a firm indication we are finally getting to that final coda we have been waiting for, why?
Because that's where the Zombie outbreak started, so...he is returning to the start.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond's post-credits scene takes place at a biomedical facility in France, which seems to be where the Walking Dead zombie virus originated.
It's also going to be a repeat of the cdc and season one, where we see a Rick reunion with his family, but it will all happen in a separate story or format to the main show. Coda, concluding the whole piece of music.
The spin-offs combined are the tail or ending.
In 415, Daryl eventually gets the head of the cottontail back too, so he will eventually get both Judith and Beth back together...


He will get his happy ending and he will come back as he says to Judith. When he does he will have the two halfs of the 🐰 🐇 cottontail together ❤️
The Coda bunny is coming...

My Re-Watch of Ghosts, Part 3

Thanks for this, @wdway. Slabtown is just one of those episodes that keeps on giving. The title itself is a whole easter egg, as Slabtown was the name of the red light district that used to be where Grady stands now, and it, too, was a railroad terminus.
Basically, Beth and Rick end up in their own train cars, going in two different directions, on two different tracks, at a fork. Sometimes, I think that Rick perceives Beth as having died and the reason her death is so confusing and full of holes, is because, for what Gimple has been planning, he needed her to be killed off, basically removed from Rick’s storyline and Rick’s point of view.

Gimple used Beth to leak the CRM storyline in its most prototypical form, and she became its ambassador. Sometimes I think he killed her not fully knowing how that would play out, but he made it so weird and confusing specifically so he could come back to it at any time and fill in the blanks.
I mean, we have to ask ourselves why Beth was chosen for this. Maybe because she was a minor character but who played a major role, because she was pretty and lovable but strong-willed, and because she was young but not a child. Her father was dead and her sister was married. She was on her own and basically the perfect choice for a brand new heroine.

I know a lot of people write Beth off and think she was just the babysitter, but why would the babysitter be scheduled opposite of Daryl in such an important, influential role in season 4? Why would the babysitter be featured in the flashbacks for A, when literally nobody else is? Why would the babysitter get to wear Rick’s hat?

Maybe because when she stopped being the babysitter, that is when her story truly began. But because of the rules and what Gimple had to work with at the time, he wasn’t allowed to tell her story yet.
I think, too, that people were attached to Beth but she wasn’t a principle character, not yet. People liked her a lot but it was still justifiable that she could exit the show and not affect the internal plot too much. It’s still true that Grady has gone completely unanswered. Her entire plot just disappears. It’s like she never even existed, and yet all these years later they’re still planting seeds that always lead back to Grady. It’s crazy.
Daryl literally never gets over what happened.

If he were to get over it, he’d have moved on. He’d have dated Connie, shacked up with Leah and then just, whatever. But he’s literally still so damaged from what happened to Beth. And it’s obvious. Yet we’re supposed to believe that Beth was a pointless character, and because Glenn Mazzara originally planned to have her be killed off by Axel the Serial Killer in season 3, that means that’s all she ever was.
Part of what I was struggling with yesterday was related to this same thing, ie: the coda. @wdway , you reminded me of the crazy coda man in No Sanctuary, and @twdmusicboxmystery , your Ghosts revisit reminded me of something totally weird I’ve always believed about Carol. It’s that thing that I’ve been struggling to articulate!
First, I think that 5a is arguably the first coda, as it’s bookended by Morgan codas in which he finds the coda trees. The first coda in a piece of music will similarly be bookended by coda signs. In 4b, Beth finds the D.C. (al coda) spoon, letting us know what kind of coda we’re entering into.

But it’s not the coda itself, not yet. The coda begins with No Sanctuary, and it ends, obviously, with Coda. Beth’s death is contained within the false ending, before the reset.
This is how the D.C. al Coda works. You play through the first coda, until you get to the second coda sign. Then you go back to the beginning, play all the way until you get to the first coda sign, then you SKIP the first coda and jump forward to the second, where you play through to the end, or the next coda, this can theoretically keep going.
Is it relevant that Morgan encounters THREE coda signs in No Sanctuary? I don’t actually know. The coda signs are tilted, which is both misleading but also enlightening. They look like Railroad Crossing signs.

Ofc the two topics are not divorced from one another in the context of TWD, specifically in seasons 4-5. So like, I feel like Morgan, as the prophet, is there to show us how the narrative is working. Everything contained in 5a is, not changable? But it’s only the first version of what happens. It’s NOT complete.
This is where my weird feeling about Carol comes in. But first, I need to go back and explain how I view 4b and what happens after the prison falls. I know I have gone into this a little before, but I really don’t know how in-depth I’ve gotten so here goes.
I feel like, after the prison falls, the writing becomes notably more surreal than usual. I feel this is to communicate that the timeline has become unstable. We see this in things like the inconsistencies with the seasons, and the lack of clarity with passage of time. It could be two weeks, six weeks, or four months they’re all out there. We have no way of knowing, and the writing seems to do this purposefully.

The groups also seem to cross paths quite often, but it’s just always at the wrong time. This is important thematically, but I think it’s also mechanic. This is where a postmodern reading comes in, because it’s looking at how writing can take a metaphor and manifest it physically and literally in a text.
The show becomes self-aware in some ways in season 4. It’s using very pointed symbolism which becomes self-referential. It’s an exercise to communicate how it feels after experiencing a major and life altering trauma. When one’s life is shattered, time stops. Directions change. East becomes west, north becomes south, etc. The world becomes fragmented and needs to be put back together.
I feel like Gimple is using this manifestation of a very real human experience in order to mess with what we know to be true, so that he can give himself an out to change it later.
So like I feel that the timeline, after Hershel dies and the prison falls, becomes very unstable, and then eventually, it splits. It splits in two: Timeline A and Timeline B.

So what does this have to do with Carol? We have to return to Indifference in order to understand. In Indifference, Rick drives Carol away from the prison and into a suburban neighborhood, ie: a liminal space. It’s not the city and it’s not the country.
While he’s there, Rick takes off his watch, gives it to Sam, who leaves with it and never comes back. Carol comments on this. “It was a nice watch,” she says. It calls our attention to the fact that the watch is gone, that time as stopped. Ava dies, and we find her disembodied leg with the compass. There’s no time, and the compass has been disconnected. There’s no direction.

Rick then exiles Carol from the prison, and therefore, from his timeline. He is the protagonist after all. He leaves her behind in the liminal space and returns to the prison without her. Okay, this is where my ability to articulate what I feel breaks down lol. SO I will do my best. I feel that, in Indifference, Carol becomes “unstuck.” She gains like, a superpower. She can enter and exit any timeline, at will, and not all characters can do this. So like when the timeline becomes unstable after 4.8, all of the characters are flung to the wind.
Eventually, they all gravitate to the train tracks, toward Terminus, aka: Rick’s timeline, and the events of “A.” All except Beth. Beth is removed from this timeline and starts her own. We don’t feel the effects of this until Slabtown, but that’s what happens. After she’s abducted, Daryl runs all night, and where does he end up? On the train tracks, discovered and picked up by the Claimers, on a straight path to Rick. Until now, Daryl hasn’t been following the train tracks. He’s been following Beth.

Beth never even knew about Terminus. She’s the only one. But Beth is on her way somewhere else entirely after Alone, somewhere that Daryl cannot go. But, Carol can!! And she does. Carol seems to reenter Rick’s timeline after she finds his watch at Terminus and gives it back to him. She hugs Daryl. Reunions, yada yada. But then, Carol tries to leave again, but she’s interrupted. They see the Grady car! They follow it. It sort of tows them out of this timeline, and into another, into Beth’s. Atlanta is then foreign and empty and surreal.
Consumed is a strange episode. That’s because Daryl and Carol are in a new place. They’re on another timeline altogether. Carol is hit by one of the Grady cars, again with the cross. She’s carried off to the hospital, but Daryl is prevented. He can’t go there. He immediately turns around and returns to Rick. Carol, meanwhile, is fully integrated into Beth’s timeline. She is referred to by Dawn, by Edwards. She’s IN it. She’s a part of it.
All the other characters visit Beth’s timeline at some point, in Coda. But it’s weird and wrong, the whole time they’re there in that hallway. Carol is the only character who is able to become a part of Beth’s timeline. I feel like this means Carol has a special connection to Beth, and to Beth’s timeline. This is why I totally agree with you, @twdmusicboxmystery, that Carol may in fact find Beth first. Because she can see what others can’t. She knows what was going on. She was THERE.
This leads back to my notes on Ghosts which I don’t have time for right now. But basically, all of this is to say, I came at this from a totally weird and different point of view, and yet I ended up in the same place. I have believed this for a long time!! That Carol is connected to Beth’s timeline. Like, there’s a gravity there, and she can enter it and exit it in ways that Daryl can’t. Because she’s not bound to Rick, or to the “main story.” She’s unstuck.
I have to go pick up my kid from school but I’ll leave you with this for now, Is it weird that both Beth and Carol are driven away from the main timeline in cars with crosses on the back? That Daryl and Carol “hitch” to the car with the cross on the back, which leads them out of one timeline and into another? Idk. I think there’s some sort of conduit thing going on here. It could also be connected to the “lead on some guns” tip, which seems to signal abduction, or an open door into the CRM.

Snippet from yesterday’s writing session
The tapes gave her something to do. The click of her nails against the hard plastic cases wasn’t quite a metronome, but was steady enough for her to focus on, to count her breathing - in four, hold four, out four, hold four, d.c. al coda.
There were a lot of names she didn’t recognize, like Iron Maiden, Motörhead. Black Sabbath sounded like something that would make her mother shit out a bible if she could. She recognized Heart, though, and Blondie - she wore her blue eyeshadow because of Debbie Harry every time she wished she could be braver than she was.
She had been wearing it a lot more lately.
I CANNOT for the life of me find the post that’s like “reasons why chrissy is blah blah blah” (good for Eddie, a freak like Eddie, I can’t remember), so if someone could link me so I can put it in my reference notes for when I start posting, I’d be forever in your debt because that’s part of why I said Chrissy likes Debbie Harry 😭
