Dani-- Just wanted to hang out at her big sister's place and now she's being shut out of something she knows she'll regret snooping in on. She/her (questioning)

Petra-- Lead singer of a noise band (bloodmoneybuzz). The final person to move in to Nettle's place. No purpose in life and pleased with it. Quirky and insecure about being younger/less mature. She/her, 20

Hart-- In bloodmoneybuzz. Not part of the general social circle, but he's got some experience with ghosts and is a busybody. Fucks with Nettle because they were both raised (in different) Buddhist traditions She/he, 21

Gem-- Also in bloodmoneybuzz. Not very socially involved in general unless xyr high; consequently, he takes a while to realize the more obvious supernatural shit isn't an effect of the drugs. Pronouns change, 20

Klee-- The fourth member of bloodmoneybuzz. Aggressive and protective of friends; struggles not to intervene/pick sides in inter-friend drama. Courtney's twin. They/any, 22

Courtney-- Klee's twin who's just sort of around and may or may not have mystical inclinations? Unknown! Nettle's buddy (and date for about three months) They/them, 22

Giselle-- Lives in Masonhaven but works part-time in the nearest big city, about an hour away, where Benny and Elsie go to school. Attends college online. Comically unaware of ghosts. She/they/he, 18

Benny-- Giselle's QPP and Elsie's partner. Busy like allll the time (college student). Suspects something supernatural is going on. It/its, 18

Elsie-- Also thinks something supernatural is going on but isn't in Masonhaven much. Also a college student who spends a lot of extra time keeping up with classmates and beefing with disability services, figuring out what kind of relationship she wants with Giselle. She/he/star/flower, 19

Marc-- Chaotic sadboy catalyst, idk. I like him. Very sensitive to hauntings. He/they, 22

Yohanna-- Marc's love interest and eventual fifth roommate. initially very skeptical of anything supernatural going on. She/they, 24

Arely-- Marc's ex-sponsor. Very superstitious but minds his own business. He/him, 27

Marquise-- "Crushing" on Nettle lol/ Kept in the dark about the ghost stuff. A one night stand who ended up accidentally sticking around at exactly the wrong time. He to he/it/they pipeline. 23

Isaiah-- Neighbor. Friendly but a little concerned about whatever's going on ghostwise. A few years out of leaving a cult with his brothers. He/him, 20

Malachi-- Neighbor. Not very interactive with the adults in the story, but hangs out with Dani a few times. He/him, 14.

Hamsatou-- Jaded about the supernatural. Doesn't know as much as Radomir but takes it seriously. She believes in ignorance is bliss until people are in danger. Helps to the best of her ability but knows her limits and knows this isn't what she's cut out for. She/her, 32

Radomir-- Some kind of revenant/undead. Spends his time researching the supernatural and being a sleazebag malewife all day <3 He/she/they, 30

Kevan-- Lehr's employee. A guy with good intents but a little sketch. One of a few relevant local dealers (Petra, Zahra, Marc, sometimes Isaiah, buy from him, but most characters over 18 have more options).

Zahra-- Lehr's employee. Trying to befriend Petra but is shy and they have incompatible shifts. They/she, 17
