IT HAD BEEN A MONTH since daniela left her ex, and everyone had noticed the change in her. she laughed more, her smile seemed less guarded, and she didn’t flinch at every unexpected noise. most of all, sophia couldn’t help but notice how much y/n came up in their conversations. every little detail—y/n’s dumb jokes, her constant pestering that she knew daniela secretly liked, the way she remembered the smallest things about daniela—lit up her friend in a way sophia hadn’t seen in the entirety of the time they’ve spent together. it was almost enough to make her believe that daniela had finally found someone who could treat her the way she deserved.

but that night, sophia’s faith cracked.

the faint creak of the apartment door woke her, and she groggily stumbled out of her shared room with yoonchae, intrigued by the noise. she found daniela in the hallway, her jacket hastily thrown on, shoes already in hand. at first, sophia thought nothing of it—daniela sometimes took late-night walks to clear her head. but then she noticed the phone in daniela’s hand, the screen glowing faintly in the dim light.

“dani?” sophia’s voice was sharp enough to make her friend freeze. oh shit.

daniela turned slowly, clutching her phone like a lifeline. sophia caught a glimpse of the open messages, the familiar ‘unknown number’ at the top making her stomach sink. oh my fucking god.

“are you serious?” sophia’s voice rose, annoyed and hurt. “tell me you’re not sneaking out to see him.” fucking voldemort. that fucking troglodyte. benny motherfucking blanco lookalike. i mean, shit. 

daniela’s face hardened, her jaw tightening. “sophia, don’t start.”

“don’t start?” sophia stepped closer, her tone disbelieving. “daniela, you’ve been going on and on about y/n for weeks. how amazing she is, how much she cares about you, and now you’re—what? sneaking out to meet the guy who fucked with you? play with you too many times to count? who you said you’d never go back to?”

“you don’t understand,” daniela muttered, slipping her phone into her pocket.

“no, i do,” sophia shot back. “i understand that this is unfair. to y/n, to me, to all of us who’ve been here trying to help you move on. you’re not just hurting yourself by doing this, daniela. do you even realize that?”

“you don’t get it!” daniela’s voice cracked, her frustration toppling over. “you don’t know what it’s like to feel like you’re... nothing. like you don’t deserve better. y/n’s amazing, okay? she’s perfect. but i can’t be what she wants. i just can’t. she’s too good for me.”

“so you’re running back to him? the person who made you feel that way in the first place?” sophia’s eyes were wide with disbelief, her voice trembling. “daniela, this isn’t fair—to anyone.”

“i don’t need you to tell me what’s fair,” daniela snapped, shoving past her friend. “you don’t get to decide what i need or what i can handle.”

“and what about y/n?” sophia called after her. “does she deserve this? does she deserve you sneaking around behind her back?”

daniela hesitated for a split second, her hand on the doorknob. then she shook her head, muttering, “just... leave it, sophia,” before slamming the door behind her.

sophia stood there in the silence, anger and concern churning in her chest. she wanted to chase after daniela, to shake some sense into her. but instead, she sank onto the couch, staring at the door. her heart ached for her friend, for y/n, for the mess that was bound to follow.

and outside, daniela walked toward a familiar car, her phone buzzing softly with a message she didn’t need to read to know.

Entonces, unos años después, Danny se encontraba viajando por el mundo con Dani, ya que Amity Park era un lugar seguro pero aún había bastante ayuda que brindar en otros lugares, fue así que la liga de la justicia tuvo una reunión, pues por alguna razón no había una sola imagen sobre el par de héroes que pudieran usar y solo los jóvenes los habían visto

Kid Flash: ¿Momento de un retrato hablado?, Okey, la chica seguro tiene unos 12 a 16 años, su traje es algo llamativo comparada al chico, ambos tienen el cabello blanco y ojos verdes...

Superboy: No no, son ojos azules, ambos...

Miss Martian: Incluso en sus recuerdos ellos están borrosos, creo que ambos pueden transformarse, sus habilidades son similares a las de los marcianos, no pude leer sus mentes y además parecen usar algún tipo de magia laser

Debilidades:problema a expresar lo que siente realmente, sus propia actitud la hace muy sumisa, si se corta la cabeza de la serpiente que tiene como cabello la puede deshabilitar por un periodo corto de tiempo a menos que se use cierto material para que la cabezas de la serpientes no se regeneren y la misma habilidad de petrificación al no poder controlarla bien se ve obligada usar algo para evitar el contacto visual para evitar ser un peligro.

*Historia:

Petra Nació en una Familia pac-worlder que “sufrían” una extraña “maldición” que provoca que algunos miembros de la familia naciera con características medias o total parecida a la Gorgona Medusa incluyendo las habilidades y esa misma familia en dos lados una donde ve eso como una Aberración o Maldición al punto que aislaba a estos “Esperpentos” y el otro que intentaba buscarle lo positivo a eso, lamentablemente para Petra nació del lado de la familia donde la veía como Aberración o Monstruo y su infancia siempre sufrió de maltrato constante al igual que algunos de su hermanos al punto que le cortaron la serpientes que tenia adherida a su cabeza que fue un proceso doloroso solo dejado las mas pequeñas y a la negra debido que era muy hostil que fue imposible cortarle la cabeza, sus hermanos mayores no sabe si están vivos o muertos esto debido que su padres los vendieron a alguien desconocido y Ella sabia que cuando creciera sufriría el mismo destino que probablemente terminaría en su muerte, como Vivian aislado de la sociedad seria complicado, pero un día conoció a un joven pac-worlder Amarillo que era ciego haciéndole inmune en cierto modo a la habilidad de Petra y se fueron conociendo comenzado como amigos pero ella se termino enamorado de el con el tiempo debido a ser el único que nunca la juzgo, el era lo único bueno en su vida incluso planeo escaparse con el debido que se dio cuento que incluso sus hermanos menores lo hicieron y bueno a sus padres no le importo mucho o bueno eso creía ella, y la que lo motivo mas a escaparse al descubrir que estaba embarazada le dijo eso a su amado y cuando el le sugirió escapar por fin acepto por que no quería que sus futuros hijos/hijas sufrieran lo mismo que ella pero justo el día del escape sus padres la descubrieron y la persiguieron junto a su amado lamentablemente esto termino con la muerte de su primer amor.

después de eso vivió algo apartada de la gente junto a su hijas pero necesitaba dinero pero le costaba encontrar trabajo asta que vio que se necesitaba una enfermera y como la paga era buena pues acepto lo que no sabia que había terminado se metiéndose en el ejercito de Betrayus, al principio le fue complicado mas por que tenia hijas (Ela y Dani) que apenas era recién nacida pero con el tiempo se fue acostumbrado mas que usaba una mascara del doctor de la peste blanca y una capucha para que le tapaba todo eso rasgo que podría en poner en peligro a los paciente, todo fue bien asta que bueno Betrayus perdió la guerra y pues como era Alida de Betrayus en cierto modo termino siendo despojada de su cuerpo pero unas horas antes de eso le pidió a Spheria que Dejara a sus hijas en un lugar seguro donde pudieran ser felices.

cuando termino en el inframundo y se volvió fantasmas, su habilidad solo afectaba a los vivos por que a otros fantasmas no parecía afectarle y se volvió sirvienta de Betrayus junto con Buttler, por su actitud al principio le costaba trabajar con Buttler pero con el tiempo se comenzaron llevar bien al punto que era de los pocos con quien se habría sobre sus sentimiento y el unico que le dijo su pasado antes de entrar al ejercito, llego un punto que comenzaron a ser pareja obviamente no es algo que dijeron abiertamente simplemente es una relación muy tranquila que no son expresar mucho afecto en publico cuando menos se entero izo una vida tranquila aunque fueran en el inframundo aunque eso si extrañaba a sus hijas y deseaba que sus pequeñas estuvieran bien.

cuando fueron liberado pues Petra estaba desorientada la verdad y pues ahora tendría que acostumbrarse a su nueva rutina.

( si le cambie la historia cambio y si pregunta por que la puse con Buttler pues... me pegaba y ya además por no siento que se llevarían bien)

UPIS students showcase fiery performances at Variety Show and BOTB 2025

UP Integrated School (UPIS) K-12 students took part in this year’s NINGNING: Variety Show and LAGABLAB: Battle of the Bands (BOTB) to close UPIS Fair festivities last February 27 at the 7-12 Gymnasium.

NINGNING: Variety Show (K-6)

The Variety Show showcased eight performances from the students of K-6 consisting of singing, dancing, and an original play. 

The Whitebored Band from Batch 2032, featuring Ulan Rico, Lukas Dionisio, Jsam Samudio, and Caleb Kwe, claimed The Fieriest Award (Champions) after performing the song “Fix You” by Coldplay, marking their third consecutive win in the Variety Show.

When asked about their participation in NINGNING, keyboardist Dionisio said, “We decided to, like, do it as a joke, but [it] turned out to be like our passion.” Dionisio also shared that during their first practice session, they felt the excitement and fire, which in turn inspired them to grow and push forward together as a band.

The 2035 Band from Batch 2035, comprised of Javin Orivida, RJ Tumbaga, Mirella Martinez, and Luke Santos, sealed two awards: the Blue Flame Award (1st runner-up) and the Crowd Favorite Award, after performing the song “True Colors” by Cyndi Lauper and “In My Life” by The Beatles.

Finally, Anica Gail Atienza-Lopez from Batch 2032 took home the Blazing Star Award (2nd runner-up) with her rendition of “Part of Your World” by Jodi Benson.

Among the standout performances of this year’s Variety Show were Bukalista from Batch 2034 and The Prima Ballerinas from Batch 2035. Bukalista sang the song “Die with a Smile” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, while The Prima Ballerinas showed a unique performance of ballet with the remix version of the song “In the Hall of the Mountain King” by Edvard Grieg.

Calleigh Tancioco and Dañelle Mangundayao from Batch 2029 hosted the event. The judges were Mx. Edwin Conel, Mx. Gian Soriano, and Ms. Maria Araceli Baygan, faculty from the Science, Math, and English Departments respectively. 

LAGABLAB: Battle of the Bands (7-12) 

Following NINGNING, seven high school bands took the stage Thursday evening for LAGABLAB. Defending champions foodbanda, a six-piece band from Batch 2025 clinched their second straight victory. Members Keane Dela Santa, Keira Hernandez, Trisha Leguiab, Elis Reyes, Casey Ruiz, and Dzyaireh Santos performed the songs “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction, “Burnout” by Sugarfree, and their original song titled “Sinagtala.”

When asked what made the winning band want to participate in this year’s BOTB, Elis Reyes, keyboardist, shared, “As you know, we [have] participated for the past two years already, so this is our third performance and our last, so we didn’t wanna waste our senior year not performing.”

Regarding what lasting impression the band wants to impart to their audience, bassist Keane Dela Santa emphasized the connection created with the band, and the will to continue even if mistakes are made. He stated, “Enjoy the journey, bawat practice, mag-practice lang kayo, pero ‘wag kakalimutan mag-enjoy.” 

The pop-rock band Garaheadz secured the first-runner up award. Members Charlize Abundo, Reo Castro, Troy Dela Torre, Lucas Lagunzad, and Sara Lazaro performed the songs “Upuan” by Gloc 9, “Bring Me To Life” by Evanescence, and their original song “Mirror in our Mind.”

Competing in the BOTB for the first time, Dog Youth, a rock band from Batch 2026, claimed the second runner-up award. Andre Baladad, Mika Dela Cruz, Faith Mendoza, Joaquin Morong, Luisa Figueroa, and Hannah Pedrasa performed the songs “Banal na Aso, Santong Kabayo” by Yano, “Antukin” by Rico Blanco, and their original song “Alab.”

The band A2-Z, an OPM Nostalgia band from Batch 2026, received the Crowd Favorite Award. The band consists of Dani Bailon, Marcus Bamba, Ashley Bonifacio, Renz Doloiras, Noah Parungao, and Zab Juanico who performed “Panalangin” by APO Hiking Society, “Secret Love Song” by Little Mix, and their original song “Aftermath.”

Each band performed their original compositions and a choice of songs to cover. Other bands including Banda Trenta, a pop-rock band from Batch 2030; Fourth Degree, a four-piece band; and Smudge from Batch 2027 also performed at the event. 

Along the Alps, a band from the UP Music Circle, gave a special performance that included their original songs “You” and “Night to Remember”, as well as a rendition of IV of Spades’s “Dulo ng Hangganan”.

The event was hosted by Arunee Licerio and Alex Blasi from Batch 2025. The judges were Mr. Abby Sionil, a teacher from the AP Department; and Mr. Elkan Reyes and Mr. Darius Casuga, both UPIS alumni.

The Variety Show and Battle of the Bands marked the end of this year’s UPIS Fair by allowing students to showcase their talents to the members of the UPIS community.

Dani sale de la sala de prensa con un dolor de cabeza.

Los pensamientos mismos son extraños (lo sabría, ha podido leer la mente de la gente casi toda su vida). En su mayoría palabras que rebotan de un lado a otro, ideas que se forman y se deshacen con casi la misma rapidez.

A veces vienen con imágenes vagas, como dibujos amorfos que pasan demasiado rápido para que Dani pueda intentar darles sentido, apenas una idea a medio formar la mayor parte del tiempo. A menos que sea un pensamiento recurrente, es realmente difícil formar una imagen mental lo suficientemente clara para que él pueda descifrar en los pocos momentos que la mente humana puede centrarse en un tema específico antes de ramificarse. Lorenzo en particular tenía esto de decir exactamente lo que quería decir, con palabras que parecían salir de la nada. Nunca acordes a sus pensamientos, pero demasiado deliberadas para ser algo más que un discurso ensayado frente a un espejo.

No lo dejaría pasar para alguien como él.

Hay tres verdades en el mundo: 1. los pensamientos de la gente son muy ruidosos. 2. A medida que las personas envejecen, se vuelven menos capaces de decir exactamente lo que están pensando, mucho menos de imaginarlo.

3. Pensar en algo y sentirlo no son, en absoluto, lo mismo.

(a menos que el pensamiento provenga de un niño, pero ellos también tienden a darle dolor de cabeza si pasa demasiado tiempo junto a ellos).

A veces es considerado, mayormente es por algún sentimiento de estar por encima de un pensamiento en particular. Muy rara vez se cruza con alguien que dice exactamente lo que piensa en el momento. Especialmente en un trabajo como el que tiene, donde hay tantas cámaras pendientes de cada palabra que dice, con reporteros ansiosos por clavar sus dientes en su próxima gran primicia al manipular de forma deliberada lo que sea que logren encontrar.

Las palabras de Jorge serían eso, una próxima linea en el periodico que sería olvidada en apenas unas semanas.

“—... y a lo mejor en dos o tres años estamos casados”

Eran solo palabras vacías, palabras que Lorenzo había preparado, como todo lo que dice en una conferencia de prensa, y aún así…

No lo entiende.

¿Por qué Lorenzo pensaría eso?

¿Por qué Lorenzo imaginaría de forma tan vivida el sonido de las campanas de una iglesia? ¿Por qué, en esos pensamientos demasiado nítidos para ser una ocurrencia tardía, estaba el propio Dani con un traje blanco y una sonrisa que no podía reconocer como suya?

Muerde la pajita de su bebida, en partes intrigado y sospechoso. Ahora, escondido en la seguridad de su motorhome y lo suficientemente lejos del ruido del paddock, entiende que una broma como esa para demostrar que ahora se llevan bien no está muy lejos de lo que Jorge normalmente hace, alimentando a las pirañas de los medios.

Desde que lo conoce, no es la primera vez que Jorge piensa en bodas, pero normalmente sus pensamientos siempre están en contra de la simple idea. Retrocediendo ante la simple mención y pasando de ello, como si no fuera más que algo superficial. Algo con lo que no se permite fantasear porque es una distracción.
