1. What made you ship it?

i will preface that its not a ship i actively think about a lot but it is FUN. i mean like tim fixating on danny and his scars and his mystery... them going to the beach together... danny figuring him out and tim lying to batman about it. plenty of fun to be had here!!!!

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

the layers!!!! i think its really fun theres all the intrigue with identities and cults and heroism but also they met as just two normal guys at boarding school together. something here about tim's desire to keep a normal life overlapping with the wack shit that is his vigilante career all the time. also like the trust and the lying. its fun.

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

this isnt a popular enough ship to have unpopular opinions dshfkjds so i guess i'll just say i wish danny had more screentime to actually establish his character and personality more. i feel like he kinda got overshadowed by all the action for a lot of it. would love to actually get to know him better!!!

Mmmm AU where Danny becomes a Stranger avatar instead of just dying and continues on with his life (even if he's a bit creepier now) and pines after his brother like he's done for years only to come back to London for a bit and discover that Tim is dating. And not only dating, he's in a relationship.

"It's getting pretty serious," Tim says. "I'm thinking of asking him to move in with me," he continues, as if Danny's heart isn't breaking.

And a bunch of weird incesty and avatar shenanigans ensue and there's probably quite a bit of bloodshed and murder that all ends in a poly monster triad between Danny, Tim, and Jon.

Not sure if Tim would be better as a Hunt or Desolation avatar for this. I'm still brainstorming.

tell me your thoughts on tim and danny magnusarchives in a roleswap universe where danny survived, instead. i expect that the hijinks and neuroses only get worse

Is this in the context of my dannytim headcanon? I'm gonna assume so.

If Tim was the one who got got by the Stranger, I don't think Danny would get angry like Tim did in canon. I think he would get desperate and that he would feel like he's adrift, everything his life was built around gone. I think he would join the Magnus Institute not just to try to understand what happened to his brother, but to try to find him. He doesn't accept that Tim is dead, that he's not getting his precious big brother back.

And then he finds out about the Stranger, about what happens to some of its victims, and he feels so vindicated in his refusal to brush Tim off as dead. He knows, deep inside, that his brother is still out there. Maybe he's a mannequin, maybe he's some kind of doll, maybe he's an unrecognizable monster, but he is out there. Danny just. . . needs to find him.

If we're going in with the assumption that this Danny has some serious obsessive feelings for Tim and that that's what's driving him, I think he would definitely become an avatar himself in his search for Tim. In this situation, probably a Hunt avatar, chasing after any tiny hint of his brother in the world. Or a Stranger avatar, embracing the thing that took Tim away for the chance of finding him.

AU where Stranger!Danny comes back to creep on/kill Tim only to discover that, while he was "on holiday", Tim actually came out as a trans man and started transitioning and Danny ends up putting all his creeper energy into being as supportive as possible.

So basically trans Tim just has a creepy doll brother who kills transphobes for him.
