since there are fifty billion beta trolls ill speed through the thought processes i had. karkat’s dæmon settles last bc hes in a state of arrested development. like act 6 last. aradia doesn’t have a dæmon anymore bc she died before entering the game :( (ALSO IT IS NOT THANOS AS IN THE MARVEL CHARACTER) uhhh pretend kanaya’s dæmon says f, tavros is so newfoundland dæmon coded, gamzee is a badger bc they are really unassuming looking but are like a genuine threat, etc etc

oh also vriska is a hyena bc she is *so* hyena coded, id say more than she is spider coded. spiders are associated often with like. manipulation, and vriska just… isn’t that manipulative. she’s pretty straight-forward actually. it’s like that one post about orc stealth. she gets ppl to do what she wants bc she’s like genuinely physically stronger and also has mind control. mind control on its own doesn’t really count as manipulation. the only really spiderlike things about her are her thing with eights and her mom. sure she’s clever, but not in a manipulative way. really, she’s mostly an opportunist. hyenas often symbolize treachery, and in some arab folklore they can hypnotize humans. anyways hyena vriska truther.

Found this post again while I was scrolling through your blog to check something else and came up with ideas for the Maneuver Forms of a few of my code being characters.

Emulator: Ukiki (those little monkeys that show up on Tall Tall Mountain, the Yoshi's Island games, and a few Mario Party Minigames), because she's a Mario Game so of course she'd go with a Mario Game Species. Domain and Forum have had to deal with Monki Zoomies many times in the past.

Manifest: Chinchilla

Mira: After she finds out about them she asks Antivirus for help making her own and ends up as a Peregrine Falcon because Speed.

Dave: Never bothered making one because by the time they sprang into popularity he already spent the vast majority of his time in the Archives.

Lag: One of the few Programs with enough skill and control over his own programing to turn into any animal no problem. Favors aquatic animals.

RNG: The whole "constantly shifting into different Pokemon" means they don't need a Maneuver form. In fact, there's speculation in some circles that those are their Maneuver Forms and they have an actual base form they keep secret.

Garyboy: The same small snake-based Hydra Virus that he was made from, though with his color scheme instead of whatever they usually look like.

Also, not mine but: given that Leto and Ozymandias are massive serpents by default I'd assume that if they have Maneuver Forms they pulled a switcheroo and based them on humans to blend in better with "lesser" Programs, since technically speaking Humans Is Animals. (Admittedly, having one seems more likely for Leto than Ozzy given...Everything about how they operate.)

Eldritch Forms, Perfect Guardian Forms, & Manuver Forms

Hi.

Eldritch Forms:

Anyone can acquire these. You don't have to have high code density to gain an Eldrtich Form.

Eldrtich Forms typically come from the result of corrupted code taking over, amplifying a singular desire the host had before corruption started. For explain, all forms thus far (except for Emulator's) have been centered around keeping their loved ones safe.

Eldritch Forms tends to twist and change the body of the host, pretty painfully as well. It can also change the environment of a given location if the corrupted code is strong enough.

These forms typically call for the complete reset of the host's code, but NOT their memories. Memoties are only ever reset if they are linked to the corruption process, and even then, it's only the memories that led to the corruption.

Eldritch Forms can leave permanent scars on the host, typically where extra appendages or other things came from. Any costume changes are chocked up to be due to the code.

Perfect Guardian Forms:

These are EXCLUSIVE to Super Meme Guardians and their Code Manifestation if they have one.

SMGs are only capable of accessing Perfect Guardian Forms after getting command permission from their Admins/and or Code Manifestations. While Code Manifestations need command permission from their Admins and typically need to state a valid reason why.

Perfect Guardian Forms tend to be that of animals. SMG4 has a manticore as his form, while SMG3 has a wyvern. There isn't exactly a theme, as these forms can be anything.

Code Manifestation forms tend to be more abstract, as they are hardly ever needed, just like SMG forms. However, Code Manifestations tend to take bits and pieces from their SMGs, while also making their own.

Manuver Forms:

Exclusive to beings of pure code.

Beings of pure code can condense their code down into smaller, compact forms, and therefore can their form as well. It's typically a type of animal.

These forms can be tricky to master, as they require knowledge of how to accurately compress the code when one wants to use the Manuver Form, and how to uncompress it when they want.to revert to their original forms.

This form is called the 'Manuver Form' because this form is typically used to get away from somewhere quickly or get something done quickly.

This form can be any animal, but one form is typically chosen and stuck because learning how to compress code into another form is tricky and definitely takes a lot out of the being.
