What is your opinion on Davide Valsecchi?

I despise him. He's a raging misogynist, and he never added anything to any racing discourse that I considered of use.

He used to work in Sky F1 Italy a few years ago, and he was an awful host and pseudo-journalist. I saw pseudo bc his place on the team was justified by his "racing experience" and winning GP2, but he never gave technical analysis and he let his rivalries of the past cloud every single judgement he ever gave.

He was a fierce opponent of Vettel in Ferrari, and I remember very distinctively that he gave his opinions with no evidence to back them up. (Later on, I found out that during testing days in some minor formula category, Seb came as a substitute for Valsecchi's teammate for a race, Seb humiliated him on track, him who was supposed to be the shit, and then dipped to do another category, and ever since Valsecchi has been shit to Seb). This hate for Seb is still going, so much so that recently he said that Nico Hulkenberg, whom I like and respect, is better than Sebastian 4 times world champion Vettel. What are we even talking about...

He was fired from Sky for making comments on live tv about two women in the paddock behind him, alongside a guy still in the Sky F1 Italia team, Matteo Bobbi. They were ogling two women in the paddock and called them "upgrade packages who unfortunately they can test."

Bobbi kept his job because he provides with some slight technical commentary, but not much other than that and keeping his Whatsapp web page on during the broadcasts. Valsecchi didn't bring any non-replaceable skills, so he was fired. Valsecchi had a wife and a child when he said that shit, if I'm not mistaken, also.

People like him because they see him as a funny Italian guy with a thick accent that behaves like your funny cousin, but he's just not it. I am appalled by the fact that he was given a spot by the official international F1 broadcast. Let him secure the spot and he'll become the male version of Danika Patrick and the misogyny will come back.
