Would you ever expand upon Wade’s Childhood Trauma in your Kitty and Kid series?
Also love your work
Meaning?
Ive already hinted a couple of times at examples of what he's been through, If you mean get into great detail about it, Probably not seeing as he himself is very vauge with what happens when he's a kid.
I want people to be able to relate to this and interpret it how ever they want. So if someone reads this and thinks 'oh that's when __ happened to me.' And sees wade healing despite that? Thatll be enough for me.
His dad (Thomas Wilson) was abusive, he was neglected the hell out of (allegedly), was in some sort of foster home/ troubled kid house (seems ligit seeing as he killed both of his parents, both Hailey and Thomas, because of the Butler) and mentions once or twice about CSA in both boys scouts and an uncle. That's the jist of things anyway. In some cases, it says deathstroke is his father but ehh. This becomes even weirder when you consider the fact that Slade Wilson has a step brother named Wade who killed his own mother out of jealousy over Slade. Wade's father was named Charles wade though, Not Thomas. Still creepy tho.

Been thinking about a Batfam meets the Justice League situation where Nightwing has been in the League for a bit a no one knows how he's connected to Batman. And for one reason or another, the League grudgingly needs Deathstroke's help for a mission. And Deathstroke agrees to help, but specifies "no Bats".
And the Justice League assumes he just means "no Batman". So the bring Nightwing with them, and also do not tell him about this stipulation.
-the justice league approaches Deathstroke on a rooftop-
-Deathstroke immidiately turns to leave-
Green Arrow: Wait, I thought you agreed to help us!
Deathstroke: And I thought you agreed no Bats.
Flash: We did! We left Bats back at the Watchtower.
Deathstroke: No. No Bats. Plural. Not only did you disobey me, you brought the worst of the bunch.
Nightwing: Aw, and here I thought I was your favorite.

just imagining a teeny tiny tim being absolutely devastated about jason’s death, that he manages to get on to dark forums to contact a mercenary for a hit on the joker’s life.
and who happens to be that mercenary? deathstroke.
tim wires money from his (admittedly very high) allowance to slade, who finishes the job within the week — news outlets are going crazy as nobody knows who pulled off such a stunt — bruce is confused, and dick is both grateful, that someone took the bastard who killed his baby brothers life, and angry, because bruce wasn’t the one to do it.
slade however? wants to investigate, someone finally had the gall to order a hit on the joker and he’s a little curious to see who it is.
only come to find a little boy all alone in a big house who spends his nights following around a vigilante in a furry suit.
and, well, slade hasn’t been the best parent, and probably doesn’t know how to deal with an average kid, but who can blame him when he begins to train tim into becoming a mercenary just like him — after all, how else is he gonna defend himself on the streets of gotham when he gallivants around with an expensive camera, a sign basically saying ‘kidnap me!’ strapped to his chest?
so what if the kid becomes robin and uses those skills in the cape? that’s batman’s problem to figure out.

I like to think that all the bat siblings just randomly drop insane lore about themselves. Like- they all have so much going on that there's no way to update everyone on everything so whenever one person mentions something crazy that happened in passing, the rest of the bats that didn't know are super chill about it. Except Bruce. When he finds out something he doesn't know, he always freaks out a little bit (control freak).
(Tim taking his daily antibiotic)
Bruce (trying to remember if something happened on patrol): Are you injured?
Tim (casually): No I'm alright. I've just had to take these ever since I lost my spleen.
Jason: Word. Good to be careful I guess.
Bruce (internally panicking): You lost your spleen?
Tim: well, maybe lost is the wrong word. I'm pretty sure Ra's Al Ghul still has it in a jar somewhere.
Jason: Not even surprised. He's creepy like that.
Bruce: ??!??!?!?!!
(Dick, Cass, Tim, and Bruce after patrol one night)
Tim: Hey Dick that was a cool move you pulled back there
Dick: Oh that? Yeah I learned that when I was apprenticing for Deathstroke.
Cass (nodding): Skilled fighter.
Dick: Yeah, situation kinda sucked but oh well.
Bruce: (Trying to piece together when the fuck that happened)

Nightwing, stalling: "How much are we worth?"
Slade, checking the bounty: "All figured... about two hundred bucks."
Nightwing: *wheezes*
Red Hood, outraged: "Two hundred bucks, that's it?! After all the shit we've pulled, a lousy two hundred bucks each?"
Penguin: "That's two hundred for both of you."
Nightwing: "Are you crazy? Slade, don't take it. You could do better."

Au where dick is always snippy with Jason when he’s wearing his helmet.
The second he takes it off? Normal big brother.
On? Irritated bastard.
Off? Best sibling you could ask for.
On? Constant glares and scowls.
When Jason finally gets fed up he confronts Dick about it. He’s shot people in front of his brother and gotten a better reaction than putting on the helmet does!
Dick had no idea he was doing it and mutters something about the helmet reminding him of deathstroke before he has to go run off to stop a robbery.
Jason is…baffled tbh

anime twunk slade in my adventures with superman is so funny to me and I think people who definitely do not read or think about deathstroke getting mad at it made me like it more lmao cause it made me realize a very silly detail
Tumblr media
it’s a story about Clark starting out as Superman so everyone is younger than their comic counterparts. That means that this young, but still clearly Adult Man’s actual arch-nemesises are currently kindergarteners, still with their parents at the circus or a few years from turning green. Which. just very funny in general.
It also means, I realized, that he still has both eyes. This is Slade early in his mercenary career, seemingly post experimentation but pre eyeloss. Which is a very specific time period in his backstory that means he has a very funny trait for an edgy floppy-banged white-haired anime man:
Tumblr media
He is currently married but (not by his choice) absolutely not going to stay that way.
it turns out about to be divorced is literally the funniest possible characteristic for a shonen villain to Me. I literally can’t stop calling him pre-divorce era Slade.
Oooo he’s edgy he’s dangerous he’s about to get shot in the face by his (absolutely justified) wife.
This man has at least one possibly two very young sons at home. He’s currently fighting Superman to avoid parenting. He is not going to get visitation rights and he Will be dodging child support payments.
Will they change it and make his eye related to Superman for narrative reasons, not covering his family stuff? I hope not but possibly. Until that happens though Schrödinger’s pathetic loser here having two eyes means his wife divorcing him is literally always impending.
