Were Carmy and Syd texting a lot and spending a lot of time together during this time?

I ask because the text from carmy is very casual and sarcastic, there's familarity and humor involved when she asks if Fak has real tools. (Carmy knows this much because he asks for faks real tools when he's ready to fix their table)

Back to the timeline and chance where they spent time together: Sydney comes back to work with Carmy in December (the holiday song that plays at the beginning of 1x08).

2x01 is in March, and at the end, it's 18 weeks until it's open. 2x02 pasta is 12 weeks til open- they had a month to spend time together.

So they have 1.- 3 months to talk- 3 months to discuss plans for the bear, the budget, and plans for renovation from December to March. 3 months to get to know each other.

The another month to spend together before he reunited with Claire.

The scene where Sydney asks, “Still good to jam on menu later?" It’s clear they’ve bonded over brainstorming in the past.

Then there's that moment when Carmy turns back to her once he says, "Yes, chef." It felt like Sydney was about to chime in, too, (maybe asking if she left something at his place??) but then Marcus swoops in and interrupts just as he stood between them a scene later when Carmy asks her if she wants to work at the apartment.

Another thing when Carmy says this- it's the apartment, not my. I believe this was a specific detail.

It seems like Sydney was at his apartment for the first time 2x02 BUT he says the apartment like she's been to his place before.

She walks in and looks around the apartment—does it look different from the last time she was there? It seems messy. She looks at the remote on the table, the crooked curtains, and the nail on the wall—maybe there was a picture there when she went to the apartment last time.

They spent time together, but it was mostly work-related. Aka scrunchie portal, she also asks him if he's still thinking about the chaos menu.

This show loves to play with time, so what if we get a timeline episode of Sydney and carmy being actual partners before season 2 starts or the weeks between 2x01 and 2x02? We still get clues about how close they're getting with the matching sweaters, we know this because this was the one and only time Sydney is comfortable enough talking to carmy about her father with Carmy in the beginning of the episode.

For the purpose of the story Charles & Alex relationship is important and is mentioned but timeline is fictional. This is a one night stand fic with hidden pregnancy being the main plot. Warning; Google translated French?

Monaco. May 26th 2024.

There was nothing but passion between the two of you, your bodies moving together in sync with pleasure as if you were still on the dance floor of the club you had met at.

You’d been in town for the Monaco Grand Prix, invited by Kika, one of your best friends and colleagues. You’d spent the day watching the race and then the night celebrating the historic win of the Monegasque driver, Prince of the people.

He was a friend of a friend, high off of defeating his previous ill fated incidents and claiming a space of his country’s history books.

Music soared and bodies met, one thing led to another and you found yourselves tangled in the sheets of your hotel room, a night fuel and lust, passion and alcohol.

The next morning thankfully there was no awkward tension, he’d left before the sun had peaked from the skies.

It did not matter; the night was fun, something people did when they were young and wild.

However, a month later, back at home, you began to feel the difference, morning sickness and missed period but the at home test debunked the theory, after two months, and a doctor check up, you found out the night that fulfilled a wild fantasy of fleeting pleasure, had left a what you believed to be a reward.

You debated messaging Charles, it was easy getting his number from Pierre, the problem was that you had no idea what to say ‘hi, we had a one night stand and now im pregnant with your child which I want to keep’ did not sound right in your head, plus from your source of all things Charles -Kika and Pierre- he now had a girlfriend. Their relationship seems picturesque, they made a gorgeous couple and you truly were happy for him, after all, you had no feels for the man, with plenty of consideration, you decided to keep your little surprise from Charles. It was highly unlikely that your paths would cross again, your only connection to his world was Pierre and Kika, whom, you had to swear to secrecy, you barely saw them anyways, so you existed almost completely outside of his bubble.

Monaco. December 2024.

You’d been in Monaco for a few days with Kika, she had insisted you two had some relaxing girl time before you couldn’t travel due to the baby. You’d spent the days, shopping, eating and at the spa, being seven months along kept you from the lifestyle you once had in the same country, not that you minded, nothing brought you more joy that preparing for the arrival of your daughter.

Sun poured into the cafe, it was a nice welcome to the chilly winter air that hugged the city, a latte and scones sat infront of you, Kika was running late for your day of, shopping, so you sat alone, reading through a magazine from the shop when they bell above the door chimed. You looked up, thinking it was your friend, when you were met with a familiar set of eyes, you remembered its beautiful shade of green.

Charles.

You quickly looked away, not wanting to draw attention to yourself, you’d met once, over seven months ago, he wasn’t likely to remember you. For a few moments you were spared as he went to the counter and placed his order. Seconds felt like hours as he stood across the cafe from you, the shop felt tight, like you were trapped in a shoe box of memories and decisions you couldn’t escape.

The little one began moving around and kicking in your stomach. Instinctively, your hand rest on your swollen belly, it’s as if she could sense her father, so close.

The chime of the door came again, this time it was Kika “Sorry, sorry” she apologized and made her way to you “Pirre insisted on driving” she flopped her bag down on the chair infront of yours before hugging you in greeting.

“It’s fine, your goddaughter wakes me too early” you smiled, feeling the tension from your shoulders lift a little.

Her arrival did not go unnoticed by Charles as he wondered coffee in hand to say hello to her. You watched on quietly as she hugged him and exchanged pleasantries then to your horror, she introduced you “you remember my friend, Y/N?” God you wished he didn’t.

“Of course yes” he says, a slight blush, probably from the memory of your night together.

Kika quietly disappeared to the counter, leaving you two alone.

You smiled politely and stuck your hand out for him to shake “nice to meet you again”

“You too, and uh congratulations” He says “how many months?”

Your heart dropped, he couldn’t figure it, not so quickly, his soft polite smile never left his face, he was just being nice and asking for conversations sake, he didn’t know and probably didn’t truly care.

But you saw this as the moment to come clean, after all you had kept it from him for seven months, guilt had led you to his inbox many many times only to close out the message before you could hit send.

“Seven months” You say, watching him intently. You saw the moment it registered, the moment his smile fell. He slumped down in the seat in front of you.

“Seven months” he repeated “that would mean, wait me? I am the father?” He says softer, just above a whisper. There wasn’t anyone but you, him and Kika in the shop at the moment, but you understood this was no place for this revelation.

You only nodded.

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Because, what would have changed? You don’t want to be the father, you don’t have to be..I’m not asking you to be”

“Putain de merde!” He cursed “still you should have told me”

“I’m sorry Charles, I just did what I thought was best. I wanted her, you did not ask for this. I don’t want to be a burden, I want nothing from you”

“She? We are having a daughter”

“I am having a girl, yes. You do not have to be her father Charles, you have a wonderful life, a beautiful girlfriend, you just got a dog together, you don’t have to let what happened months ago change your life, I have to leave” Quickly, you got up and grabbed your bag, existing the cafe as quickly as possible. Thankfully neither Charles nor Kika followed you as you headed back to your hotel.

You laid in bed for the rest of the day, cradling your stomach, your baby was yours, you loved her so deeply, you didn’t need Charles. You had a wonderful family that supported you and loved your unborn child as well.

Later in the afternoon, there was a knock on your door, you opened it with the expectation that Kika had come to drag you out of your mood, but to your surprise it was Charles.

“Please let us talk for a moment, I just want to understand”

You nodded and moved aside, letting him in.

“I brought you some food, we can have dinner together”

“Charles, you didn’t have to”

“I know but I wanted to”

“Thank you” you got yourself comfortable on your bed again “come on sit let’s talk”

“She’s mine? I don’t doubt you but she’s is mine”

“Yes, the condoms neither of us had” The Heat of the moment had left you both a little hay brained.

“And she’s due in January… do you have a date?” As you ate, you answered all the questions he had, which was a lot.

“I spoke to Alex” he said at the end “I want to be present in the babies life, I want her to know me as much as possible. I don’t want her to be without a father”

“Charles you know you don’t have to, you don’t have to feel responsible for what happened, you don’t have to feel obligated, keeping the baby was my choice”

“I know I don’t have to do anything, but will you let me?”

For a moment you thought about it, the questions she’d have about her father, who he was, what he did, where was he. As much as you wanted to live in a bubble with your baby girl, away from what her life would look like split between two parent.

“You know what, you have a right to be in her life in you choose, but promise me you won’t hurt her Charles”

“Can I?” He asked before gently placing a hand on your stomach “I promise to do everything in my power to make her happy and safe”

[DELTARUNE CHAPTER 3 and 4 SPOILERS AHEAD (WEIRD ROUTE INCLUDED)!!!] STRANGE, STRANGE TRACKS

edit 2: this whole theory has fallen apart because im illiterate and didnt see that there were two T's so pawn to c doesn't make any sense except if it's stuttering like pawn t-to c (i still think its kris communicating to us through the soundtrack though since music is how they express themselves)

There's a weird thing I noticed with the release of Chapter 3+4's soundtrack, and its that some of its tracks aren't stylized with uppercase letters. What I mean is that, in most songs, you'd start with an uppercase letter for each noun in the title like "The Third Sanctuary" for example. However, there are a few songs in the Chapter 4 OST (and only Chapter 4) that aren't stylized like that, and instead the nouns after the first word are all in lowercase. This could just be a mistake, but its consistent throughout every soundtrack release, Spotify, Soundcloud, YouTube, Bandcamp (update: not on Apple Music as was pointed out to me in the comments by kysafe, but it looks like most song titles on Apple Music were improperly capitalized, as is the case with all capital songs like ANOTHER HIM and GUARDIAN), so I don't think it's a silly mistake.

I think that these tracks mean something.

Let's take a look at the tracks first:

- Old wooden rafters - Another day in hometown - The distance between two - Wise words - Piano that may not be played that well - Need a hand?! - The place where it rained - Concert for you

As you can see, those are a lot of tracks. Way too many for it all to just be a coincidence. So what could it all mean? Well, I've got a couple of thoughts.

1. Anagrams, Toby's favorite thing

This was my first thought when seeing this whole thing. It could be an anagram for something. While skimming through the tracks at first, I missed "Wise words" so I was initially left with the letters O, A, T, P, N and C, each corresponding to the first letter of the song titles. I noticed that it could spell out something similar to "CONTACT", although a C was missing. That's when I skimmed through the tracks again and found Carol's theme, simply titled C, the only track that's just a singular letter of the alphabet, so it was good enough to me at first to. This can give us something like "CONTACT P", as in "CONTACT PLAYER". It was an interesting thought that was however swiftly debunked, or alternatively, dunked into the nearest trash can, when I noticed that "Wise words" had that same improper capitalization, so there was a W in the mix, leaving me with O, A, T, W, P, N, C. This could've led me to a lot of places, but the anagram that stuck out to me the most is "PAWN TO C" as in, a pawn to C Holiday. Carol. This ties into my second thought.

2. This is Kris communicating to us

Kris has to live with us controlling their actions. Sure they can rip us out of their body, but for some reason, they won't talk or interact with anyone as long as we're not with them (except for the Chapter 4 Weird Route, where they bring Berdly to the hospital and apologize to Noelle while we're not looking). We basically stripped them from any means of expressing themselves. Almost. There's that scene where they play the organ without our input in the Church's Dark World, and also when they think we're still trapped in the vent room, where they go up to the Holiday's piano in the kitchen and play some rocking tunes. Music is how they express themselves. And I believe that it's their only way to communicate with us: through the literal soundtrack of the game. This might be weird, considering that while some of these tracks ARE heavily personal to Kris (the Church, Dess, Hometown), two of them are not related to them at all, those being "Wise words" and "Need a hand?!", which are Gerson related.

However, this might as well be Gerson talking to us as well. He's one of the most knowledgeable characters we've ever met, with an awareness of the world only rivaled by Flowey. It wouldn't be too far-fetched to assume that he's talking to us, the player directly, especially since one of the tracks is literally named "Need a hand?!" not a question to Kris, Susie or Ralsei, but to us, the player, being as confused on how to defeat the Titan as the rest of the cast, if not even more confused. This leads me to my final thought.

3. Kris and Carol are in cahoots

It seems pretty obvious, considering that at the end of the Chapter 4 weird route, we get a call with Carol's voice blip, and also the fact that right after the phone call between Kris and the strange voice in the kitchen, Carol comes barging into the house. We also see how close they are through Carol's dialogue with Kris, telling them that they can come whenever they want. But this message "PAWN TO C", sheds a better light on their relationship. It probably isn't mutually beneficial. It probably isn't something that Kris wants to be a part of at all. Kris is a pawn to Carol Holiday, and they're also a pawn to us, the player. They've spent the better part of their life being controlled by forces outside of their control, the Mayor of the literal town/mom of their childhood friend (and for the better part of their life only friend), and an incomprehensible entity controlling them from across space time/us the player.

I don't know if that could fuel the theory that Carol is the Knight, but I just thought it's something interesting to note. I haven't seen anyone else post about this, so I hope I'm the first one to do it. If not, then oh well, that's just how cowboy shows go I s'ppose...

i’m sorry but every time i see someone on tiktok making a theory about how robin’s alive in tbp2 i burst out laughing because THAT BOY IS DEAD AND NEVER COMING BACK YALL

like. i love being delusional! so much! but this is one delusion i cannot get behind! gonna debunk every possible chance of this theory being true and also get into why it wouldnt make sense from a plot perspective either. if this theory genuinely comes true and robin comes back to life in the second movie i will genuinely get a tattoo of something from tbp and i will reblog this post with a photo of it. thats how certain i am that this will not happen

first of all the most basic argument i see is that robin must be alive because miguel is coming back for tbp 2. but... flashbacks exist? robin coming back still as a ghost exists? i see people say he survived somehow and fucking clawed his way out of his grave and escaped or something but im so sorry that is NOTTT happening LMFAO if robin was alive then his ghost wouldnt be calling finney in the basement, end of story, the grabber is smart he wouldn't leave robin half fucking dead before burying him

when the detectives are giving their press conference they literally state they found 5 bodies BELIEVED TO BE THE MISSING CHILDREN. robin included! finney also can't just be hallucinating because gwen saw the ghosts with her own eyes, INCLUDING ROBIN, and the grabber heard all the ghosts (minus billy for whatever reason) on the call at the end of the movie, again including robin

and for the most peak proof of all... robin himself literally said he was dead! he says he doesn't want to have died for nothing and he wants to have at least died for a friend! HE SAID HIMSELF HES NOT COMING HOME!!! he is COOKED (thanks @staggersz for a lot of these points)

also back to the story in general, bringing robin back to life would be such a disservice to finney's development as well because robin's phone call is that final push finney needs to get himself together and face the grabber. sure that phone call could've come from any of the other ghosts but it's established that robin and finney are friends so hearing advice and the harsh truth from him helps finney get the courage to attack albert, like finneys not just doing this for himself and the other ghosts, he's doing it for his best friend who he lost when he shouldn't have, so that robin didnt die for nothing

bringing him back would also make the story messy in general. it makes the grabber WAY less threatening because if you can supernaturally bring robin back then who's to say you can't bring his other victims back..? it also just makes the in-universe 'laws' around the ghosts and the supernatural very messy and confusing like why would he be able to come back? what purpose would it serve? it just doesnt make sense from a storytelling point of view

i am very intrigued to see what role he plays in the second movie, im thinking flashbacks or finney will continue to be haunted by him but if its something different im excited to see it ^_^ unless they bring him back to life. if theyre doing that they better let me see vance too if hes not in tbp 2 im rioting okay bye

Today’s subject is:

Who is the Voyager

I originally planned to post this after 5.7 but the thought of this entire theory getting debunked kinda scared me… so the sooner the better (plus I have not posted in a hot minute minus some reblogs)

So, my claim on who the voyager is, is none other than the a missing aeon, Akivili the Trailblaze. No I have not lost the plot, in fact this is so genius that I began to fear myself.

Let’s start with Teyvat, our dear beloved land in which all of the beloved people of the past, present, and future live on. During the wars between the dragons and heavens, Phanes created the false sky to hide teyvat away from extraterrestrial beings out of love for humans. Many describe it as a cage or prison.

Thus Isolating Teyvat. You want to know what else is Isolated? Pegana, the home world of the Aeon, Akivili.

The Tree of Existance, a tree which birthed all of the universes planets, also reminds me of another important tree that contains all of Teyvat’s history via leylines. I could draw a line and claim that the Irminsul is a “branch” of the Imaginary Tree. Though I’m not too well versed in either topic so if anyone is interested to adopt it, take it away.

Back to why the Voyager is Akivili…

Akivili isn’t necessarily dead, they are just missing and another fellow aeon, Nous, may seem to know what happened though THEY have kept THEIR mouth shut about the whole situation. We all Know how the Voyager isn’t from teyvat, and had drifted through the cosmos for some time know before being awakened by our favorite dragon King Nibelung. She traveled all across the cosmos finding people and civilizations that were bond to fall, and could not warn them. She tried to warn Nibelung but failed thus when she returned to teyvat, she was confused as to why the dragon king was missing and his people were (mostly) gone. (Let’s all collectively boo at Phanes).

Both Akivili and the Voyager have great ties with traveling through countless galaxies. Much like the Voyager has ties with fate, the aeon has ties with Destiny. If I’m not wrong, those are fairly close concepts to each other further proving my point that they may be the same being. The Star Rail’s purpose was to connect distant galaxies together, establishing connection through those galaxies. I am unsure if Akivili THEMSELVES could directly communicate with said galaxies but I fear I’m entitled to question why create this whole express if they, a Aeon, could not just communicate with the galaxies THEMSELVES.

“Ink your being crazy, they probably are not connected” Ok fine, if they aren’t connected then at least I can confidently say that Akivili is tied to teyvat. Look at THEIR page.

Two points I can make here.

One: the Unknowable, if this is not a reference to Forbidden Knowledge, then I don’t know what is. (This one is more or less connecting Akivili to Teyvat rather than the voyager, but still note worthy)

Two: “Countless Shooting stars streak across the night sky, if your pick the right one, it will carry you wish to thousand of distant worlds.” I got sent instantly to that one dialogue sentence in Yoimiya’s second story quest of how when you wish upon a shooting star, it summons the meteors. This could also be taken as, when you wish upon something, they are bound to come true. We also know the connection between the Twins of Teyvat and shooting stars. Im just saying.

Anyway this is my theory before everything gets debunked in 5.7 or maybe (hopefully) hoyo won’t pray on my downfall and instead make me a theory genius, either way I’m throwing this out while I can. Before I bid you farewell and say thank you for reading this mess, i would like to add…All Hoyo games are connected, it’s a hoyoVERSE for a reason, and I’ve been doing everything to connect them. Akivili may be that connection I’ve been (heh) wishing for.

"Harvey" by Alex G lyric dissection

I don't really listen to a lot of Alex G music but Harvey is a song that captures my attention imminently. Ive seen mixed theories about what this song means. I am in no way educated on the current Alex G fandom and lore and what not so forgive me if the masses have come to a different consensus. I owe most of this theory to my beautiful wife (best friend) Aubrie but I've added onto it and made it mostly my own.

I'll chase Harvey through the door in the wall He says, "Never catch me, never miss me at all" Drool comes down from the corner of his mouth I say, "I love you Harvey, you cut it out"

I love winning baby I want it all I wanna prove that I got the balls Harvey keeps on playing with his food He doesn't understand what big boys do

He wakes up in the middle of the night I run in and turn on the light Run my hands through his short black hair I love you Harvey, I don't care

the first thing I noticed about this song was that it was written as a reverse poem, in which the lines can be read backwards to reveal a different meaning. The lines being read backwards reveals a divergent, less whimsy sequence of events that triggers a long evoking thought of dreamy nostalgia.

"I love you Harvey, I don't care

Run my hands through his short black hair"

to me, this song is about a younger sibling who is absolutely enthralled by their older brother Harvey. Harvey however is dealing with things that the little sibling can't quite wrap their little head around just yet.

"I run in and turn on the light,

He wakes up in the middle of the night"

"Harvey keeps on playing with his food,

He doesn't understand what big boys do"

Harvey starts experiencing some kind of life impairment, likely leading to substance abuse issues as we see later on. The last stanza sticks out to me because of how the situation explained can be viewed differently. Harvey playing around with his food is seen by the younger sibling as something childish and immature, while an older teen having trouble stomaching meals can have much darker implications.

"I wanna prove that I got the balls,

I love winning baby I want it all"

"I say "I love you Harvey you cut it out" ,

drool comes out from he corner of his mouth"

The winning stanza can be interpreted very differently from mind to mind, my personal take involves our protagonist being the only sibling to succeed, as we will see later. The drool verse I can depict in two ways. the first being an example of drug abuse, maybe perhaps an overdose. The second being a metaphor for Harvey loosing his lust for life slowly while the younger sibling gains theirs. Him drooling representing him checking out from his roles and responsibilities.

"He says never catch me never miss me at all,

Ill chase Harvey through the door in the wall"

This to me represents the younger sibling searching for the Harvey they fell in love with as a kid. The younger, happier Harvey. The Harvey that played tag throughout the halls of their old house.

"Give my medals to the ones that I love,

Head back home to the place I grew up"

"success is the only thing I understand,

success for my buddies success for my friends"

This to me represents the younger sibling finally leaving the memory of Harvey to rest, whether Harvey is now deceased or he simply refuses help or change, our younger sibling moves on and continues being the successful one, who never struggled to eat their food at dinner and never had to zone out of life with drool dribbling from the corner of his mouth.

hi i'm still here :) those things about fandom denying theorizing about jonsa just bothered me heavily since fans accepted almost every theory under the sun but hypothetical j0nsa is where they draw the line they accepted curtain of light theory and 3 heads of the dragons saving the world for years before a hypothetical cousin marriage/bethrodal that ties a lot of plot threads and themes together and resolves so much of the missing plot pieces from the show, i might not personally like it cause of the incest implications but im also consistent with hating all jon's incest ships and still keeping an open mind about j0nerys and j0nsa on a storytelling basis but j0nsa is a theory that intrigued me so much because it did make sense from the drafts,the fact that sansa will end up at winterfell with the vale army by the time jon wakes up and changes into who knows what (again fans straight up ignoring which stark is actually the closest to winterfell will never not make me laugh) to the many gothic literature and historical references george takes to especially the ashford theory thats so unavoidable i call fans extremely blind for being this in denial that it might happen as a plot point and since aegon is most likely going to be busy with dorne/cersei/dany or euron and most likely die in the south (rip son) i highly doubt sansa will tie into his plot unless thats the last targ suitor she's supposed to be betrothed with and again its kinda a big nothing theory to me cause sansa going south would be repetitive and its already been debunked with the AFFC draft leaks unless aegon wants a claim to the north which again im pretty sure he'll be engaged to arianne for martell points and allyship (also her being engaged to a secret fake bastard heir was already done with joffrey and it being completely reversed with j0n feels more complete as an end point to that theory/arc there's no way george would pass that up).

i also don't think this is all jon and sansa have to offer as characters,its what bothers me with other ship fans as well i like them as separate characters and i also feel like looking at the story, if it were to happen i don't believe it would be a fairytale romance or ending or be anytype of normal relationship, i might even be completely wrong and j0nsa might never come up (also feel like george would be wary of doing this now when media literacy is at an all time low but fandom toxicity is high as the heavens), both sansa and jon fandom theories have been through a rollercoster over the years im just happy that fans finally have theories that actually makes sense storytelling wise and not something for wish fulfillment but bias still runs amok in the fandom unfortunately and it still clouds a lot of convo about the characters and plot theories

I like jonsa too because it’s v compelling and it has good evidence to back it up, but I’m really iffed up because of the incest too. If she’s the girl in grey who runs away to Jon for protection, it’ll not be as a friend who’s seeing another friend after a long time, it’ll be because she wants protection from her brother. Then comes in the question of her claim to Winterfell. If she marries Jon to smooth out the inheritance crisis, the North would still belong to Jon & not Sansa. They will not be equal in that marriage or as the lord and lady of Winterfell. However, there are far, far too many indications of a jonsa match, textually and subtextually, which I am right there with you anon, are so compelling! It would only be a blind man to not see them. And the fandom collectively vehemently denying jonsa is v funny to me because it sounds so much like

Though, I do believe that the Ashford Targaryen suitor could be Aegon VI for Sansa. While a lot of people believe that Aegon will marry/betrothe Arianne for that Dorne support but that doesn’t make sense to me because

1. It’s like Sansa would marry into the Tully family for support to take back the North

2. The Dornish are already burning to avenge Elia

3. Arianne is the heir to Dorne in her own right (and has had major plot around that), marrying the next King of the 7 kingdoms hardly makes sense for her.

BUT Aegon & Arianne’s plots are barreling towards each other and they very well might just get married to secure another plot point that I cannot think of right now. And I know that Aegon is doomed and Arianne survives (George, pls or else 🔪🔪) so that’s another reason why Aegon & Sansa can’t happen. And Jon being the Targeryen suitor holds so much more literary weight than a rando who has never had an impact on her or her emotions or her plot (apart from your brilliant points). Also, no I am not debating the “Dunk disturbed the Ashford Tourney so Sxn/dxr is the one for Sansa” because we’ve debated to death that even being granted the title of Maid does not mean anything like a betrothal in Westerosi society or has negative consequences (r + l & that whole war it started). Also, just because Dunk got in the middle of the Tourney does not mean that he got the girl in the end. Hope that helps. Yes well, there have been one too many people in this fandom (as is common in any other fandom *cough* jxnxryas *cough*) to reduce the characters to the ship but the block button is my lord and saviour. Shipping is so that we can bring out the best (or the worst) character traits in the people we’re shipping, not to water down the said character traits.

There’s a chance that jonsa doesn’t happen in the books or happens just in the subtext or whatever, and I’ll be fine with that as long as the stories for both Jon and Sansa have satisfying and empathetic progression. Though I would terribly like for it to happen just to dunk on the haters and the BNFs and the “skeptics” lol. I am trying to be a better person these days, but pettiness is my second daughter 🤪 and to add to this point, if jonsa doesn’t happen, that still won’t erase the heavy foreshadowing we’ve been seeing in the text till now. If some other ship had the Ashford theory, the Byronic connection, JONnel Stark marrying a girl named xrya or an ancestor Sansa Stark marrying a -whoever- in their lineage, the plot satisfaction, the narrative parallels, the textual connection, it would be considered canon by now. But no, since it’s Jon x Sansa and that is still somehow a pretty strong contender for breaking all your ships, they will close their eyes and call it a crack ship. Baby a crack ship is me and Oscar Isaac or Sasuke and Taylor Swift. But if Sasuke and Taylor had all of this evidence, it would, once again, be considered canon. Dude, I found older forums/metas a while back and there is nowhere that Sansa was mentioned w/o sxn/dxr. Sxn/sxn was just a given. It was canon, it was always going to happen and that’s just so reductive tbh. ok guys walk with me: annabeth's abssence from the underworld scenes teased so far, possible athena's appearence and the 4 pearls theory (spoilers from the first book)

From the previews, trailers and teasers, we can assume annabeth is not gonna be a part of most of the events that take place in the underworld. From what I recall, she is not featured in most scenes in the underworld that were teased so far, apart from the cliff and the forest with the creepy ass bald dolls (im guessing those are a part of the underworld realm). We only see percy and grover in most scenes.

At first, i thought maybe she is gonna be sent to camp sooner than what happens in the book, but the teasers show that annabeth will be present in the ares fight (which happens after the events in the underworld). And that debunks my theory that she will be sent to camp before grover.

So why do you guys think she is not present in most scenes?

I think maybe she is gonna be held somewhere in the underworld apart from the boys for some time. My guess is that the precipice we see annabeth falling in might be the same one ferberus is in (from the clip where we see percy holding the red rubber ball, with only grover by his side). Im not sure how she gets out of there, and by her abssence of most of the teasers, im thinking maybe she is gonna be held there for most of the episode, but i have no idea how she is gonna convince the boys to keep going without her. Maybe they leave her under ferberus's protection, if they keep the scene where the two of them bond? (However, so far, we only see percy with the red rubber ball and we only see grover standing beside him).

Either way, we know that they are gonna keep the part where percy is alone delivering the bolt, bc he is alone in the scenes teasing olympus. He is also still wearing the green flanel when he returns to camp, while annabeth is wearing the camp t-shirt, meaning she got there before and they reunite in that scene.

As for the 4th pearl, I think that the addition of it might have happened to show that poseidon thought of sally (the gift of only 3 pearls in the book never made sense to me, did poseidon run out of pearls in his stock?). However, i still think something will happen so that the story keeps on track, with percy being forced to choose between his mother and his best friends in the show too. My guess is that at least one of the pearls might be stolen or accidentally lost.

At first, i thought maybe they'll use a pearl to save annabeth from the precipice, if the pearl was her only chance to escape. Maybe percy would throw one of the pearls and miss the first time, maybe ferberus eats a pearl?? wtf, idk. So he must choose to give her a second pearl, and then has to choose again, this time between grover, sally or himself in the underworld later. But annabeth's presence in the fight with ares has really confused all my theories. So truly i have no idea what is really gonna happen. Maybe the pearl only sends her out of the underworld, she waits for them, then the ares fight happens and THEN annabeth and grover go to camp. But i dont see how she would accept to leave either. Anyway, i hate the possibility of us seeing less of annabeth in the last 2 episodes. I really hope to see the 3 of them braving the underworld together.

I also believe we will meet athena in this season, since all the other gods that appear in the opening are confirmed to appear this season. Maybe she stops being a deadbeat and shows up to save annabeth from the precipice? YEAH RIGHT

So since I predicted that Sloane and Luther would get together from the day she was announced as well as a couple of scenes- I feel obligated to share w y'all my batshit crazy idea of what I thought might happen in season 4 and like now that we have TWO trailers why I think it might happen. In other words-

So my initial thought was that in this new timeline they are themselves slotted into lives they don't initially remember, that the longer they dwell in the timeline the more they remember and some come to accept. Up until the inevitable happens and the world is at risk again for whatever reason. However, saving the world means giving up these perfect lives for accepting their shitty dysfunctional reality to save each other. Because the more they stay and accept the more they lose of previous timelines.

Why do I now think this could actually be the case you ask?

At the end of season 3 Luther takes off after our girl Sloane with Klaus following but everyone else is just so calm. Soooo which leads us to

Viktor might own or work in a bar. Which the fact that he seems to be somewhat settled for sure tells us that some time has possibly passed between season 3 and 4

The sign says "home for wayward boys" implying that Allison may not have been in the group and maybe neither Viktor before the transition. I'm also wondering if now that his wife is back maybe in this new timeline they both fostered/adopted our main characters.

Oh yeah did I mention Reginald's moon wife is alive? His whole thing with the children was his alien (literally) way to save her. Now she's alive.

Allison is with claire so she also possibly has her life back.

Ben is getting out of jail and like it could be a "time has passed between seasons" thing or something happens in one of the episodes where he winds up locked up.

Diego is at a kid's party and either has his own kid or a niece or something. it's not claire and the family behind him is not his umbrella fam.

sideburn theory strikes again

idk if its just that i have been fully driven around the bend by this show or is this is Big Brain special, but if all fails this is the lore of a crossover you might not have known you wanted.

so i posted way back in the bygone era of pre-s2 that i felt that there was something potentially behind the different sideburn lengths in the trailer and first promos, and my darling @theeminentlyimpractical added into this, plus the added spot of crowley's sunglasses changing. now this appears to have been debunked by further s2 content (and indeed s2 in its entirety), because there didn't appear to be rhyme nor reason to the sideburns, but there was to the sunglasses. so we kinda left it alone (although people keep rb'ing the original theory, frankly god knows why).

now we kinda came up with some explanation for this, which ive summarised in this ask earlier, but then. then. we saw this brilliant observation by @rebeccasteventaylor, and thought - well, fuck it, let's take another look.

note: reference screenshots of nearly every crowley scene, per episode, at end of post.

so main observations so far:

crowley seems to exclusively wear the silver sunglasses in ep1 and ep2

then switches to the new grey sunglasses from ep3 onwards

he has a mix of long and short sideburns ep1 to ep4, and switches sideburn lengths in those eps between scenes

then seems to exclusively have long sideburns in the 'second half'* ep5, and in ep6.

then i have the following thoughts from both seasons:

we know that crowley is a singular demon in that he has an imagination

we know that he is pretty powerful, including the ability to stop and hold time

there are indeed plenty of doctor who references which - absolutely, may be an innocent homage to david tennant - but seem so pointed in s2 that it's almost unnerving

two quotes! first: "if any harm comes to aziraphale because of this, i will... oh, it doesn't matter, it's too late for that now, isn't it?... its always too late."

second: "i know... looking at/working out where the furniture isn't..."

the crow road by Iain Banks is introduced at the very end of s2, being read by muriel, and has very prominent features on screen when metatron asks them about it. crow road plot involves the main character piecing together notes/sketches left by their late uncle. (by the by, very purposeful feature in s2 that aziraphale keeps multiple diaries, and can sketch real good - including specifically a picture of gabriel)

now, before i start parsing out the theory (though tbh, by this point, i imagine you can see where im going with this), i will add that as i said in the above linked ask, im fully on board with the sideburn thing being bc of AP/confines of filming in COVID, and so it may just be a detail that had to slide or was missed. but that isn't as fun as putting on the tinfoil hat.

the main thing for me is that the long sideburns seem to consistently appear on screen after aziraphale and crowley talk in justine's restaurant in ep5*. once crowley goes over to the bookshop to confront gabriel, the long sideburns seem to remain. this is also where crowley appears to be at his angriest which, tbh, is kind of at odds with how he seemed to speak about and treat gabriel in ep3 and ep4.

let's start with ep3 (ill come back to ep1 and ep2*). in the vavoom scene, crowley almost seems quite chummy towards gabriel, perhaps slightly condescending, but warmer than he is after shax arrives. now, shax turning up to remind crowley of the stakes involved (ie threat to aziraphale) is completely trackable against how crowley then speaks to gabriel afterwards. but it is this quote that has baffled me slightly:

"if any harm comes to aziraphale because of this, i will... oh, it doesn't matter, it's too late for that now... its always too late."

and the reason it baffles me is because... well, i don't really get what crowley is talking about? he's rescued aziraphale on plenty of occasions, and seems to always be in the nick of time (or stopping it, if you consider 1793), and aziraphale has previously rescued crowley back with impeccable timing.

aziraphale hasn't actually come to much harm in any of the story we've seen so far; the only time crowley wasn't on time was with the bookshop fire, and whilst that was resolved, it would match up with what crowley's saying about being too late... but 'always too late'? ie, more than once? seems like there's been a pattern where crowley is too late.

the other thought i had on this is that crowley says "too late" in reference to saving morag in the same episode (but in the resurrectionist minisode within) but that was on aziraphale himself for dithering - why would crowley talk about it? so it seems to me that there are other instances where crowley himself has been too late to save aziraphale. the only time i really think this happens, where aziraphale ends up in danger, is the Domestic at the end of ep6 when crowley is too late to tell aziraphale how he feels - which probably would have influenced his decision to stay and not walk willingly into the clutches of the metatron... but in the s2 narrative, that hasn't happened yet.

furthermore, @theeminentlyimpractical brought up this little detail up from the book:

which doesn't necessarily mean anything in this theory's context, that crowley has one of his watch's clocks programmed to hell's timezone, but appears to be a detail specifically related to crowley nonetheless; futile fight, helplessness, the concept of always being Too Late.

the last thing however to mention about ep3 is that there appears to be a very clear before and after where the sideburns are concerned. where muriel turns up, and crowley and aziraphale talk in the back-back room, crowley is sporting shorter sideburns. but after aziraphale leaves, crowley comes down from upstairs carrying books, and has longer sideburns. i don't necessarily have any explanation for this, but do observe that it seems quite deliberate for the episode that he has the longer ones once aziraphale leaves, and continuing into ep4 when aziraphale comes back from edinburgh.

ep5 however, crowley arrives on whickber street, and is back with ye old short sideburns again. the only time this changes in the beginning half(ish)* is when he and aziraphale visit Arnold's. once again, don't really have any theoretical explanation for this, but one thing i will say is that when crowley and aziraphale approach the archway/alley that goes to Arnold's (just after "can i watch?"), they're in step with each other... but when aziraphale gets to the window, he's alone for a good few seconds and crowley doesn't appear - he might be out of shot, but then does appear just as aziraphale enters the shop... just an odd amount of time to have not followed aziraphale to the window.

in any case, crowley then follows around, gets waylaid and epiphany-slapped by nina, gets somewhat pissed in justine's, and then heads over to the bookshop. where he next appears upstairs, and suddenly sporting long sideburns again. it then seems somewhat pointed that this is where he really lays in to gabriel - now, contributory factors here are he's just been hit with the realisation that he loves aziraphale and aziraphale loves him, and he's probably about five sheets to the wind.

but it's particularly venomous and angry which - yeah, tracks - but i wonder if this is in response to something more? that crowley has more to be angry at gabriel over, more to be resentful of, than just that gabriel's presence in the bookshop could bring harm to aziraphale, and gabriel's involvement in the botched execution?

add to this, the line that we're all losing our heads over?

"i know... looking at/working out where the furniture isn't..." (subtitles conflict on amazon re: the first bit vs what im personally hearing, but neil has confirmed it's at least 'where the furniture isn't.')

now this all relates in the conversation back to gabriel's analogy of his missing memory feeling like a house with missing furniture, and trying to work out what in fact is missing. many have speculated that crowley might have gone through the same predicament of forcibly losing his memory (and s2 certainly does set it up like that), but i do wonder if it in fact twists that crowley is actually investigating the missing furniture, piecing together his own clues?

his tone being resigned and bitchy, even mocking, could well just be him laying on gabriel again, or indeed he could be empathising because he too has lost his memories, or because he's in the same boat and trying to piece things together... just, not in the same way?

so let's come back to what im actually getting at here; does crowley expand on his time-stopping powers, and does he essentially step back into his own timeline? and has to piece it together à la crow road?

was there an alternative timeline that still resulted in aziraphale going to heaven, but under different circumstances, and crowley comes back to change it to no avail, and that's where we leave s2? or, in this aborted (?) timeline, does aziraphale get got by hell, or gets taken out of the BOL (and falls?), crowley is trying to work out how/why, tracks it back through to the events we see in s2, ends up helping to hide gabriel (eg. he comes back after the So Did I argument), but then that leads down the path of losing aziraphale to heaven anyway, just in a different way? "it's always too late"?

now, don't let it be said that i won't poke holes in my own theory, because this is absolutely crazy and relatively baseless... and is so easily explained as just being One Of Those Filming Things (i simply felt it was slightly remiss to not mention these thoughts floating in my noggin).

the main issue of course is that *ep1 and ep2 are literally a mess where this theory is concerned. there are some short/long sideburn differences that can't be explained away, because the scenes literally follow in succession to each other - eg. ep1 goes from leaving the coffee shop (short), to the gabriel reveal (long), to So Did I (short again). another eg. ep2 goes from leaving the pub (long), to the walk across the road (short), to the job segue (long again). i could try to explain this with "oh crowley stopped time and switched", but that would probably be a bit of a cop out, however possible it might technically be within the narrative.

i don't even really know where to leave this off, but im still just of the mind that for a show where attention to detail is Everything (take the neil ask about the records, for example; he immediately spotted that the holes weren't right for jukebox compatibility, but they had to accept it as a good regardless), this feels like a pretty Big Goof?

alternatively yes, it might be AP whereupon david was going into another job fairly shortly after reshoot work was needed, or there were COVID related filming issues, but a) seems like a lot of reshoot work/pickups, and b) couldnt they have just trimmed the 'burns/be able to fake the length? idk but my brain is scrambled and im so confused.

if i ever find the time/energy to there would be a better-formed post in mind but the thing that gets me about isat (dont look unless you played this game theres spoilers all over this)

is the way it kinda messed with me at so many turns. id say im a fairly seasoned timeloop fan so i knew what i was getting into when i started playing. i knew beating the house wasnt going to end it. i knew all the numerous ways you have to find out more to find a Way Out couldnt lead to much. in fact there was a point where i was concerned with the fact that maybe there really /isnt/ any escape

when i started to reach the end of the game, i was not only overwhelmed at everything going on in there, but was also paralyzed with the lingering fear that this too would be futile. this too will be "an" end rather than "the" end. it feels like as a player you cant not fear for siffrins well-being or the state of the world hes in the longer you loop with him.

in fact it felt wild to be playing the timeloop game knowing timeloops never go well and watching siffrin initially treat it as a justified means to an end. the more the horror of the situation dawned on them the more i went "oh no" when i saw how it started to break things, including himself. to the point where some of the later-game developments pulled the rug from under my feet! you thought you knew what was going on but then things spiralled and you lose the sense of control you thought you had over things. you thought you knew what to expect and how to end things. you thought you could see it coming. you get accustomed to the routine so when things start to escalate and youre limited in things you can actively do as a player you start to fear the directions of roads unwalked... wow. kinda like siffrin!

i also kept wondering about the meta-narrative implications of the game. why is the player here. will anyone in the story become aware that theyre characters. the way the game's narrative and siffrin's thought process worked in regards to plays/games and this story while the player can only watch on! i feel like theres a lot to say here that i cant begin to dissect. im still contemplating.

but. with loop appearing as a means to help siffrin, is it possible to say that the player is also a manifestation of it, on a completely unconscious level? the curtains rise once the game starts, once everyone has taken position, after all

i also had an extremely wild theory / idea based on a different game that i like and never talk about with anyone ever but its safe to say most of it has been debunked by the narrative. still cool that i could ponder tho! im still pondering it tbh i know theres a few things ive missed

for the time being this is what i can offer as thoughts. i sadly have to focus on narrative things on my own thesis so i have to hokd myself back... however, there IS something i feel like i can prod at in this game that concerns what ive been researching... thats a post for another time though if i can formulate it in my mind

Remember the tango dance in my very first post? NOW THIS IS THE DIGITALIZED VERSION, Im squealing rn bcoz of how romantic yet terrifying this is

We had Cuphead and Holly dance (quickstep), and so is Mayhem and Not-Cup!

Note: Not-cup is from a chapter from Book 11,which i misinterpreted him as having hollow black eyes, and when i reread it i was disappointed of myself bcoz I IMAGINED HIM WRONG. But nonetheless i continued to imagine him to have hollow eyes so *shrugs*

And why is he with Mayhem? Since Mayhem dont have any infos yet, i suspect she is Holly from the future and since the events in the Gala, she was heartbroken right? And IF that lasted til the moment they found the machine, Holly would interact with the cog once again and then go onto full control. Then she is found by chaos, blah blah blah, became student blah blah blah, came back to time to the labyrinth blah blah blah (i have a prev post regarding this, and my theory is yknow messy and dont add up, so TAP screw me loose and prove me wrong i dare ya😈), and then Cuphead went to despair seeing her and agreeing to be her follower and made ANOTHER deal (so its like when Mayhem got a deal with Bigby) in agreement that Mayhem will be Holly but tho Cuphead has fallen into a trap ans she didnt abide the rules. Now he has no memories about Holly nor the questers, the only thing he knew is following Mayhem along with his suppressed feelings for her(which is Holly), that [in]correctly explains why Cuphead has hollow eyes in this dance.

If this is all debunked, then this will simply be an AU

i wanna add something to my theory, seunghan DOES like yn and being the person he is, he TOLD them (his friend group) that he like certain someone. he MOST LIKELY to not mention the person that he likes to them. why would he showed up at yn’s house bringing chocolates because yn is sad???? why would he feel bad that he bump into ‘pretty girl’ bcs hes sleepy??? why would he felt like losing bcs both of them in relationship???(if you look closely, he barely replying in the gc when sohee fumbled or telling story abt yn. also he only replied when sohee mention that yn is sad or whatsoever. NTM, he only updated his twiter when yn posted or confirming yn and sohee’s relationship) i also felt like this story had a side story to debunk every encounter with every person yn meet. there’s probably a moment where we miss like after the chocolate incident, what did they do after yn letting seunghan into their house????. i REALLY felt like theres something missing here…..
