Ero in macchina con un collega, alcune volte anche il mio solitario lavoro necessita di una mano in più, quindi 3 mani, -coglione non fa ridere- disse la mia percezione.

Girovagando tra un controllo e un altro ci trovammo vicino al “bel posto”, era giusto il momento di prendersi un caffè ristoratore, una piccola pausa per riprendere fiato.

Entrammo, la percezione di aver commesso un errore mi prese per mano e mi sussurrò ad un orecchio, -hai fatto una cazzata ata ata ta ta-, la mia percezione ama essere plateale.

Mi ero dimenticato che il mio “accettabile” collega in presenza di una barista si trasformava in un rompicoglioni porco bavoso, ma dentro di me speravo di essere in errore. Speravo che questa volta avesse la decenza di non fare o dire nulla, il disagio mi premeva sullo sterno.

Ordiniamo due caffè, il collega è ancora silente...”cosa stara rimuginando”, “ magari questa volta non avrà intenzione di dire nulla”. Ancora silenzio, non so se esserne preoccupato o sollevato.

La barista posa le tazzine sul bancone, ancora silenzio.

Cominciamo a sorseggiare il caffè, il silenzio diventa materico.

Il collega posa la tazzina sul bancone ed esclama “che buon caffè”

(siamo ancora nell’ambito della decenza e poi qui il caffè è veramente buono)

“e poi gustarlo in un così bel posto”

E lì, lì, la barista esplose. Qualcosa dentro di lei si ruppe, afferro la bottiglia azzurra del gin e la fece sbattere contro quella del rum, “anche questa bottiglia è bella”, ne afferro un altra e facendola scivolare sul bancone degli alcolici la schianto contro un’altra” guarda quanto è bella quest’altra”. Le bottiglie cozzavano in maniera pericolosa mentre la sua mano tremava, la voce era diventata stridula, il volto sembrava stravolto. Quel coglione del mio collega continuava a fare degli apprezzamenti e io continuavo a non sapere cosa fare. Mi era chiaro che lei volesse spaccare una bottiglia, voleva ferirsi, meglio una mano squarciata e disinfettata dal whishy che continuare a subire quella violenza.

Uscii e misi in moto la macchina, il collega non automunito dovette seguirmi.

Mi vergognavo ed ero incazzato con me per non aver saputo evitare lo scempio, non sapevo come poter porre rimedio, non sapevo come evitarlo in futuro, sapevo solamente una cosa, sapevo che quella era la seconda crepa.

It's hard as a nonbinary queer navigating the internet these days when I no longer align with labeling "pathology" after being "diagnosed" bpd by an abusive therapist (who was also working with the state and friends with my questionable foster parents, long crazy story LOL but i digress). The system is designed to kill or make folks compliant, it doesn't actually care. I wasn't anything like the cat comic character and still diagnosed bpd because I (kid you not) didn't want to go to college when i was in foster cate and they thought this was black and white thinking. i wanted help looking for alternatives to college and they instead labeled me as overly needy and used my biological family as an example against me. Not going to further elaborate, but it was as if any emotion or opinion that differed from them was another thing they could claim as mental illness. Labels are designed to control, and their labeling of me didn't help lead me towards their goals it just left me homeless for a couple of years until i found my spouse. Didn't go to college but life has been working out pretty well for me once i dropped pathologizing every aspect of my being. Anywho, apologies for my life rambles and thanks again for saying something, even in a hostile crowd.

In terms of your individual health there are literally no metrics beyond what you personally find most meaningful, desirable, or satisfying.
