Tumblr media
Planning a road trip from Delhi to Mathura is a great option for those who want to go to the culturally and spiritually significant state of Uttar Pradesh. Mathura is just 180 km from Delhi and can be reached very conveniently within 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic and road conditions.
The most convenient and shortest path is via the Yamuna Expressway. Not only is it the fastest route, but it is also smooth and scenic driving. Start from Delhi, take the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and then direct to Mathura via the Yamuna Expressway. There are tidy rest stops, restaurants and gas stations along the way, so it is ideal for group or family travel.
You can also take National Highway 19 or National Highway 2 through Faridabad and Palwal but you  might find traffic there, otherwise an equally good option if you also plan to see towns on the way.
Whether it is a weekend getaway or a pilgrimage tour, a Delhi to Mathura Road Trip will offer many unique places to explore along the way like Govardhan that make the trip enjoyable as much as the destination itself.
