Chapter 3 Guide - Every Initial option/response

Chapter: 3 Part: Beginning Spoilers free: Relatively (Does not spoil past the beginning/chapter theme set up) Warning: I list 3 triggering terms (shortened), this is just to demonstrate how you cannot input those words. I am in no way condoning the action of using these words.

~All names that cause a technical difficulty will result in Tenna cutting the visuals and changing it to FUN. It also causes Susie to laugh. ~Any names not on this list either I have not seen tested, or receive the general response from Tenna about eventually spelling your name right.

KRS - Prompts Tenna to tell Kris not to curse. CUM/FUK - Technical difficulty. Only achieved through code manipulation, once the first two letters are inputted, the final is missing. AAA - Tenna makes a comment about Kris screaming in joy. KRI - Is interpreted as crying. RAL/SUS - A comment about how it will be confusing is made. PEE/POO - Will cause you to put a new name. so... opinions on three and four?

Three was oodles of fun!!! I talked about this with a few friends but a part of me wishes they leaned more into the tv show side of things rather than video games, but i do understand that video games are significant specificlly to kris’ upbringing. I have nooooooo complainnntsss about getting the shadow mantle, it was tough but fun and made me so so sad for kris😀😀😀😀😀i beat the knight and had a lot of fun with that fight, im keeping a save file around to fight them more later.

If chapter 3 blew my mind then i dont even know how to describe chapter 4. Tbh i havent really done the secret boss (i had to rush through it on my first playthrough and spoiled myself on it anyhow so its fine,,,) and i havent finished the weird route file either, i barely entered the dark world and am. incredibly. sad. and distressed. about. what just happened. my mind is buzzzzinggggggggg thinking about everything in chapter 4. Theres soooooooooooooo many good character moments. mentally my brain is still stuck on kris playing the piano at noelle’s house. You have something like 30 minutes to just be yourself, alone, before its back to whatever grueling thing theyre apart of. how are you supposed to spend that kind of time?? They drink chocolate milk, collapse on the counter, and play the piano. Im reallysad.

Ok, I finally finished it! In total, this all took around 16 hours to do, and boy, does my head hurt! But hey, it was fun! I do hope this was helpful to some people. ^_^

I have been thinking about Ralsei a lot lately and I wonder if Ralsei is some sort of deconstruction of a Satellite Love Interest? He has a lot of traits that a traditional JRPG would give a female love interest: He's a healer, the most outwardly kind and compassionate member of the team and is very much concerned with the main hero's happiness. It would tie into his themes of identity because, outside of the prophecy, his life seems pretty vacant.

I agree with this! It's been one of my main forms of interpreting Ralsei's character since chapter 1, and it mostly revolves around the juxtaposition between his innocent-ish interactions with Kris, versus the ways he talks to Susie, Lancer, and about purpose.

On the one hand, when alone with Kris, he literally puts himself on a silver platter for them, allowing any kind of behavior and being personally invested in complimenting Kris for doing things he finds heroic. The setup seems to be that, all this time spent waiting for the prophecy, he's idealized Kris specifically because of the role they play in the story and on the team.

On the other hand, when talking about the purpose of darkners to Lancer, he never so much as glances at the possibility of personhood, instead emphasising servitude as the only desirable trait they could have in presence of lightners. This significantly sours the interactions he previously had with Kris, and while it's obvious he prefers them over Susie (at least in chapter 1) it puts into question WHAT it is that he prefers. Is he kind to them because he's a kind person? Or, is he kind because he sees Kris acting out their role obediently, and therefore acts out his role perfectly in return? A sort of premeditated dance of adoration that's facilitated by the lack of true free will in them both.

I love this kid he's so messed up.

it's no wonder that kris likes susie so much, she's the only (main) character that isn't caught in a nostalgia trap!!! the way noelle was talking about them while they were in the closet like the epitome of their friendship was what they had as kids because she's too passive to connect with them as they are right now, asgore trying to return things to as they were, whatever the fuck carol has going on (personally i'm thinking she's using kris to get dess back (who is the knight)). meanwhile susie talks about how she feels hopeful and like she has a purpose for the first time in her life! she's excited for the future instead of using it to try and change the past!!!!!!

Chapter 3 - All Keys

Chapter: 3 Part: Beginning Spoiler Free: Somewhat (Spoils first board)

Key 1: -The easiest to obtain. -You can purchase this key in the shop at the beginning of the board, once you have amassed enough points.

Key 2: -Out in the open-ish. -You will need to bring the Sphinx two Q's, and it will allow access into the area.

Key 3: -Requires Lancer. -Bring him to the room with the spade symbol on the ground, he will allow you to get the next key.

Key 4: -In the cactus room. -You will need to walk into the cactus in the middle column of the room. It will move and give you the key. It will blush when you approach it.

Key 5 (to be added)

Key 6: Ice Key (Semi-spoiler. Secret boss requirement) -You are required to get an S-rank on the first board. -Go into the S-rank only room and access the game, from there progress until you can chop down trees/bushes. -Find your way to the chest, there you will obtain the Ice Key. -This is one of three items you need in order to access the secret boss.
