So a client came in who got pierced by another local artist and was complaining of issues with her Industrial. Upon having her lift her hair I was completely surprised anyone claiming the title of piercer would find this to be acceptable. These shops are funneling people in and out as fast as possible with the cheapest jewelry possible to maximize their profit and leave these poor people victim to pain, rejection, migration, or worse. So a client came in that went to another shop to have her nipples pierced. She came in having pain in the healing piercings and asked if we had barbells. Upon investigating I discovered they had put 1/2" externally threaded cbb that you see pictured in both her nipples. The anatomy required 5/8" Straight barbells to sit comfortably. The amount of distortion and indentation in the tissue with the former jewelry in it was a hint to how much pain she must have endured due to the other shops ignorance. Not all piercers are created equal.
