I was, majority, home schooled. Not under the umbrella of religion, but because I was popped out disabled. This was tricky, as disability rights hadn't been invented yet in my country. Essentially, society saw I wouldn't ever be work force and designated me "abandoned" at age like.. 7. (I mean, arguably still true, but genuinely the disability act in my country is younger than I am so, lol, fresh hell!! etc)

I know, you're thinking "I'm not shocked Phal, you gobby, over opinionated gender heretical homosexual, society irons out the kinks in fuckers like you" and to that I say, HAH, sadly I was like this even in the school system and just got aggressively ~bullied~.

But that's besides the point, I love to create and I love to write, even though I only have flimsy education in either. My last language lesson was 20+ years ago, and before that, due to a severe decline in health, I hadn't been in formal education for 5 years (My tutors at the time were bi-weekly, and one was convinced I was retarded (her words, not mine) and the other was so excited to find a 10 year old jazzed by algebra, he let me skive by writing about norse trade routes.)

'cause of this, I don't really have the basics of... Well, anything. Everything I've learnt has been through "on the job" osmosis, from it's middle, outwards. That and a desire to learn and read and being just so fucking annoying. So I know how things work but not necessarily why, nor their names, or the reasons for their order. And it's not due to a lack of self education, I was a ravenous book youth and am the kinda adult that has bookshelves heaving with wanker classics through cringe contemporary, but occasionally I'll hit a hurdle.

It'll be a minutiae in the grand scheme, things other people take for granted as a stitch in the fabric of their childhood, but I'll be left with a looooong hard pause of Fuck Piss Shit Ass Mother Fucker because what do you mean I had to google what the fuck the subject of a sentence was and it came up on a webbed site for six year olds.

It's not even embarrassing it's just depressing. And yeah yeah, radical kindness, not my fault, doing your best etc etc but it doesn't stop the weight of infantile Otherness that stuff brings on you.
