Serenity of no reception. • • Friday night I drove down south, to the middle of the desert, with a group of friends. We slept in a camping site far away from any city lights, under the millions of shining stars and Milky Way. As I lay in my sleeping bag, I could Barely tear my eyes away. Basking in the usually hidden wonders of the sky. Gasping with the crowd in excitement with every shooting start. • • At the break of dawn we embarked on a small hike up a mountain, and through the desert. Filling my lungs with fresh air, feeding my eyes with breathtaking, wide open views from up the mountains tops and down the valley ways. • • I allowed my brain to envelop in the quiet, tranquil calm of the desert. The gradient of browns, yellows and oranges. I gave way for my body to just lead me through the trails, seeking comfort in the movement of my muscles and limbs. • • Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t turn to my phone for distraction, because there was no service. It forced me to go offline and just enjoy nature, the great outdoors. I let the beautiful views and stillness seep through my eyes, ears and nose and into my body and soul, washing over me and neutralizing my worries, fears and nerves. • • • How about you? Normal: How aura works. There is so little out there that she could read up on aura, with just about every text source saying that it is easier to just practice rather than read about. The unfortunate part of it is that it's so hard to find anyone willing to teach her about aura.

Chosen: How does life as a Chosen work. Even though Gladion had explained that she just lives life as normal, but that is a little difficult when she has a little more to her shadow.

Royal Ball: Why is it such a big deal that she leaves the elvan village. Yes, it's dangerous, but Valerie has proven that she's extremely capable in battle. Valerie even goes to sneak into monster grottos and pulls out good loot hauls (which she promptly shares with her friends in the human kingdom).

the flames

the flames love you. they love what you do, they admire you. it's something incredible, to be able to grow and change. to learn a new fact, get a new hobby, make a new thing. to be so creative and invested in things. to find joy in that. you have to live from one moment of quick, hasty happiness to the next, and isn't that what it's all about? things change all the time, happiness isn't forever, but neither are pain and sadness. it can feel like it at times, but there is always hope, there's always something to hold onto, always a next moment that will be better. i hope you find a fire in you that helps you grow towards the next brief moment of happiness.
