ThunDramon

Descrição 

Thundramons são dragões de natureza pacata que exibem uma musculatura robusta e placas rígidas que os revestem desde o pescoço até a cauda, características estas desenvolvidas para que pudessem ser bastiões das Planícies de Vigrid, pois muitos são os perigos que circundam esta região. 

O potencial defensivo destes Digimons é excepcional, mas isso não faz de suas habilidades ofensivas menos relevantes. Para lutar contra alguma ameaça ou socorrer alguém, Thundramon tende a usar as estacas presentes na ponta de sua cauda, visto que são condutores elétricos capazes de liberar descargas poderosas. Como absorvem a eletricidade presente no ar de forma contínua, eles sempre têm energia suficiente para seus ataques. 

Outro atributo relevante sobre esses Digimons se dá por suas pequenas asas que, embora incapazes de fazê-los voar por serem pesados, são essenciais para a manipulação de seus campos magnéticos, permitindo-os flutuar a até dois metros do solo por meio de repulsão elétrica, o que já é suficiente para lhes conceder bastante mobilidade, algo que jamais teriam se dependessem apenas de suas patas. Dizem que quando eles “voam” através deste método, um rastro avermelhado pode ser visto atrás deles, como a cauda de um cometa. 

Técnicas 

Tridente Relâmpago (Lightning Trident) - Usa a ponta de sua cauda para disparar três poderosos raios de tom carmesim, causando explosões nos locais atingidos. 

Rugido da Terra (Roar of the Ground) - Atinge o chão com as estacas de sua cauda e descarrega uma quantidade tão grande de energia que causa tremores e abre fissuras no solo ao seu redor, estas que jorram eletricidade por todo lado. 

Lâmina Voltaica (Volt Blade) - Envolve as lâminas em seus braços com eletricidade e desfere um corte com eles. 

Campo Eletromagnético (Electromagnetic Field) - Expande a energia de seu corpo por uma grande área ao redor, eletrocutando e jogando os inimigos próximos para longe. 

Caçador Ionizante (Ion Pursuit) - Libera uma grande quantidade de energia eletromagnética para impulsioná-lo em direção ao oponente, atingindo-o com uma pancada violenta.

Since most Digimon asks you get are about relationships (romantic or otherwise), I was thinking about asking something different: according to you, what's Top 5 (or Top 10 if you feel like it) creepiest Digimon? I was just randomly thinking about this a while back and I'm curious if we can agree on some ^^

To be completely honest with you, I have a very hard time to remember the "Digidex" so to speak. If you ask me about any Pokémon, I'll give you an answer immediately, but once it comes to Digimon, everything that wasn't part of the first 4-5 seasons of the anime, plus the movies, plus Tri, the reboot and Ghost Game is usually giving me a very hard time memorizing. Soooo my selection will be very limited and also relies on me checking up several websites, so, here we go...

5th place: Wendigomon. It managed to scare the heck out of me back when I watched The Digimon Movie for the first time - and it did around 20 years later again when I played Digimon Survive. Big, big shout-out.

4th place: Sephirotmon. I was very, very uncomfortable when it appeared in Frontier and that hasn't changed to this day.

3rd place: VenomVamdemon (Undead). The original version that was in Adventure was already creepy on so many levels (I still remember the scene where its... Brain-tentacles were coming through???), but the stageplay version had a whole different level of creepiness about itself. For everyone who hasn't watched it yet, I don't want to spoil, but all I want to say is... Poor Taichi.

2nd place: Ordinemon. I still cannot believe Tri went there, with all the sexualization and the EVA and Madoka references there, I was thoroughly creeped out by it. The picture below doesn't even do it justice...

1st place: Abbadomon. That thing REALLY gave me these "Oh my God, and this is why Digimon is NOT (just) for kids" vibes all over again when it appeared in the reboot. Shivers. I also feel very similarly about the entire Algomon line - and aesthetic-wise, they also remind me of the Parasimon from the second Tamers movie as well as Armageddomon from Diablomon Strikes Back, so they receive honourable mentions right here.

I recently finished a playthrough of Digimon: Nova Red. It's Pokemon Fire Red but replaced all the Pokemon with Digimon. I was never too into Digimon, but I always had a faint, passing interest in the series. And I did buy and play a good amount of Digimon Story: Cyber Slueth and I really enjoyed what i played so far so I figured I would give this a shot.

Overall I had a pretty good time. I tried not to use mostly Digimon I know about outside of my starter and one other member and I think I did a good job. I can't say I had a BALANCED team by the end of it though. By the end of my first playthrough, half of my team was weak to fighting. I had enough coverage to overcome it sure but it did make it a bit more challenging. Also j ended up with two dragon types on my team since one of my last Digimon becomes an ice dragon type. I didn't use any sort of guide or anything so I wasn't expecting that but I welcome it

I like the team I made though. Everyone was pretty good and despite the big fighting weakness I still grew to like a lot of the team. Especially my starter. I ended up picking Bukamon as my starter cause I always liked that evo line of the options given (and didn't wanna be "boring" and use the Agumon line XD) and it's final evolution was really good. Really tanky comparable to Blastoise only Water Electric which was a really cool typing.

The other members were all equally good there wasn't anyone I'd consider Bad. The closest one I THINK would be Skull Baluchimon but even then he hjsr felt SLIGHLTY underpowered compared to everyone else. Still has a really cool typing

My only main complaint is by the 7th gym there was a MAJOR difficulty spike where every gym's team were 5-10 levels than yours. And that's not fun. If they were 10 levels lower I'd say this was a fair challenge so just be aware of that.

But yeah I still liked it. Glad I beat it and played through to the end. I even used a DigiDex app to look up members of my team a little more and some of the random Digimon I found along the journey. I wanna play this again. Maybe with a more balanced team next time. I recommend this even if you aren't into Digimon. Just be aware of the difficulty spike

Have you thought of introducing the new mons added to the Digidex into a future story set in the same verse if not in the current story?

I'd definitely like to do that for a future story in the Null Verse. I think it's a bit too late in the story to add any new Digimon to Holy War, apart from maybe ArkhaiAngemon or something in grunt/cameo role. But yeah, in other potential stories, it's definitely on the table.

Descrição 

Esta exótica criatura pode ser encontrada em desertos ou regiões místicas do Mundo Digital, ainda que sejam raras as vezes que ela aparece, dada sua rotina de longos períodos de sono, que por vezes duram dias. 

É uma Digimon geniosa que odeia ser perturbada, principalmente se alguém acha que pode lhe fazer quaisquer desejos, já que conhecem seus poderes de criação. Mesmo que possua tais habilidades, estas são limitadas a conjuração de objetos e teletransportes, logo esse atrevimento por parte de alguns a irrita profundamente, então ela apenas teleporta o indivíduo inconveniente para bem longe. Agora, quando tais pedidos são feitos por Digimons bebês, ela não mede esforços para fazer estes pequeninos felizes. 

JinnCatmons vivem dentro das esferas que um dia foram parte das Plushmons, isso porque elas sempre estiveram lá. Seus espíritos adormecidos residem nessas esferas, mas pelo fato das bebês que ficam sobre estes artefatos serem muito frágeis e alvos fáceis nesse mundo onde reina a lei do mais forte, é comum que seus lares sejam avariados com alguma batalha. Tal fato levou as JinnCatmons a espalhar um boato tenebroso sobre a quebra da esfera de luz, pois quando um acidente acontece, elas saem cheias de fúria de suas moradas e usam seus poderes sobrenaturais para sumirem com a ameaça, enviando-o para um lugar desconhecido que é mantido em segredo por essas Digimons, mas é certo que o perpetrador se arrependerá amargamente do que fez.  

Técnicas 

Zubaeat Mudiya (Redemoinho Luminoso) - Gira rapidamente seu corpo, formando um pequeno tornado que lança várias lâminas de luz contra os oponentes. 

Wahaj Alrubilit (Fulgor das Rubelitas) - Dispara um lampejo intenso das joias espalhadas por seu corpo, causando cegueira e náusea naqueles atingidos pela luz. 

Khinjar Nari (Adaga Ardente) - Lança uma ou mais adagas – que parecem ser suas garras – infundidas com chamas azuis em seu adversário. 

Raghbatuk Hi 'Amriun (Seu Desejo é uma Ordem) - Cria algum objeto de propriedades aleatórias e o joga contra o inimigo. 

Shabbura (Névoa) - Transforma-se em uma fumaça translúcida para se esconder ou desviar de um golpe.

DigiDex: With its three heads and empty eyes with tiny red dots for pupils, it is a sight to behold. FalseHydramon tends to carol when it's alone. Not having any friends, FalseHydramon has conversations with its two heads-for-hands, which are FalseHydramon's different consciousness.

Tatarigamon

Inspirations: Tatarigami (main inspiration), Tsuchigumo (side-inspiration), Driders (loosely), Atlach-Nacha (loosely)

DigiDex: With its many legs, wriggling worms of seeming blood, and almost corpse-like appearance, it is a sight to behold. Tatarigamon craves death upon something, but also wants something fairly unknown. It never likes anything or anybody, but when it does, it wants it for itself, forever.

Notes about these Digimon:

They both emerge from the consciousness of Alyssa Haine, aka Goggles, after becoming a mad god of the Digital World.

They represent a negative side of Alyssa's mental state, before and after becoming god of the Digital World.

They are very loosely based off of Lovecraftian gods

They are based on some kind of monster from fantasy media

Gameplay (if Digimon Eldritch becomes a game itself):

Both are the final bosses of their respective routes. FalseHydramon will be the final boss of the Hope Route, while Tatarigamon will be the final boss of the Despair Route.

FalseHydramon's gimmick is its voice, for which it often whistles or shrieks, causing a form of delirium among both humans and Digimon. If it were to be injured, they grow back what was injured, only thing that can't be grown back are its three heads. Ironic for someone who takes its name from a Hydra.

Tatarigamon's gimmick is cursing Digimon, including humans, with afflictions, more specifically "Bleed" or "Poisoned" afflictions, which is only more effective to those with smaller bars or those on low health than the others.

FalseHydramon can easily be killed, but Tatarigamon cannot be killed (it can be defeated but not killed)

There is a secret third Route called the "Grace Route", however, there is no design for the boss as of now, but there will be once we get to it.

Luminamon Nene remains a fun oddity for a number of reasons but in particular for me, it’s due to that Digimon manga contest they had awhile back.

I remember some rules clarifying no anime human characters and to only use Digimon from the Reference Book. Well, Luminamon Nene is a weird loophole because she’s considered an official Digimon species via the Reference Book despite being based on the character from Fusion via the Japanese exclusive manga.

Why Luminamon Nene is in the DigiDex but not the more well known BalliBastemon I’ll never know.

But if I was able to enter the contest, it was only open to Japanese fans, I would’ve stuck Luminamon Nene in as a major supporting Digimon just to see what would’ve happened.
