Half the reason he had gotten an apartment was because Nayzak was getting into too much trouble if he stayed at the inn. In hindsight, L’harir wasn’t sure why he thought this would go any better. 

“Oh ain’t you a nice lookin-- AGHCK GODS DAMNED LET GO--!!” 

If L’harir waited until the unlucky roe man left (one sleeve poorer) he wouldn’t know the ‘nice looking red chocobo’ was his. Hopefully. 

He sighed as the apartment building’s door closed again, hauling his greens and fruit to the triumphantly squawking bird brandishing a newly acquired sleeve. “You are going to get me arrested, you know. Then who will feed you, hmm?” Harir warned, setting the basket in front of Nayzar so he could hold out a hand for the sleeve to drop into. He sighed, only now did he understand his Ma’s reluctance to take in the tiny pink ball of fuzz all those years ago. What could he really do now though? Where else could they go? More worries as he turned to grab a brush and a broom, the troublemaker happily chirping through his meal. 

“Or at least we'll get kicked out of this build- AHH!” Harir stumbled as he turned, another quite suddenly right behind him, and the happy trilling Nayzak was making wasn’t from food, but the sudden addition scritching soft red feathers, beak against his cheek. “FAREED WHE- mm, where the hell did you come from?” 

“IIII would take care of him! Come on look, he loves me!” The red headed miqo’te grinned back at Harir’s tired grimace. 

And the thing Harir hated most about Fareed was, that he was right.

Why Aym and Baal?

They were, according to Shamura, supposed to be Narinder's replacement family/companions. Narinder never really got that memo, but like, what did Shamura expect? Relationships don't work that way. You can't just throw two strangers at someone and have them fill the void of a millennia-long relationship.

But the question of the hour is, why Aym and Baal? I don't think it's because they're cats.

It's implied Narinder had his own family (made up of cats or whatever he is) and chose the Bishops, a goofy assortment of non-mammals over those blood relations. So he's not exactly inclined towards members of his own species. So that doesn't feel like the reason why Shamura chose them. And it doesn't feel like the reason Narinder kept them.

I noticed that this photo from Jalala's journal had to have been of pre-servitude Aym and Baal, cause they're much younger. Baal's hair is shorter, they're both just wearing basic tunics instead of their signature robes, and Forneus isn't wearing her hat. So Aym's always looked a bit scuffed, and it wasn't the result of his time spent with TOWW in the Realm Beyond.

Which means Shamura saw him and went "wow that's literally Kallamar". Scar over one eye? Check. Messed up ears? Check. It would also loosely confirm that the boys were sent after they sealed Narinder, since Kallamar's ears wouldn't be scuffed before then.

It would be really funny if what Aym's looking at is Shamura, and this picture was taken 5 seconds before disaster.

Now, my first instinct was that Baal would be Narinder, and what Shamura hoped to recreate was Narinder's relationship with them and Kallamar. But that doesn't quite make sense. The new "family unit" already has a Narinder, so why would Shamura give him another?

Baal can't be filling Shamura's role for two reasons. One, as the head of the family, Shamura would be more likely to be Forneus (the role they are now placing Narinder in). If not Forneus, then the unseen father presumably taking this picture. Two, Shamura does not believe that Narinder loves them. That's. Kind of why they're doing all of this. So they wouldn't give him a replacement-Shamura either, unless they were feeling really really egotistical.

Which leaves us with two options.

And the correct one is Leshy. Leshy, whose core item is the red camellia. And whose symbol becomes a black heart when he's cleansed.

While we don't get to hear much from Baal, Heket's core traits are that she's a shit-talker and likes to eat. Leshy's core traits are that he's chaotic, but has an appreciation for/focus on the world around him. Smells, sights (when he could see), and sounds.

Baal is actually the politer of the two and, based on his recruitment dialogue ("So much color... so many creatures") he too is the worldly type. Also, Baal thanks Lamb for helping them. Leshy and Narinder are the only Bishops who thank Lamb in the end.

And, you know, if you take the order Shamura lists the family in into account, Leshy and Kallamar are the first and second sons respectively.

Of course, this can be taken one step further in another direction :3c I can't just leave Heket out of this.

Although Shamura only gave him Aym and Baal, theoretically what they saw was a four-person family unit that reflected their own... before Narinder entered the picture. I mentioned before that if Shamura isn't a reflection of Forneus, then they're a reflection of the unnamed father. (Who I suspect to be Paean)

Which means they saw Heket in Forneus.

Do you see the vision??

Cause this is a found family, age order doesn't necessarily matter to the familial hierarchy. Even if Shamura wasn't the eldest, they would still be the head (whether matriarch or patriarch) because their role is as the leader of the other three. Heket would be below Shamura, but above Kallamar and Leshy, because she serves as caretaker. She's even the one who takes charge upon Lamb's return, as the matriarch would do if something were to happen to the patriarch.

((Traditionally, while the father is seen as the protector and provider, his purpose is specifically to rule/lead the family. It is the mother whose sole purpose is to protect. Primarily the children, as their (often only) caretaker. But in traditional circles, it's commonly felt that the mother should sacrifice everything for the father as well.))

It would be particularly fitting because a lot of Heket's side of things revolves around sacrifice. How she's burdened by it, and seemingly how much she tried to do to find a better/different outcome. She's characterized as particularly family-inclined.

This would suggest that who Narinder valued the most in the family were Leshy and Kallamar. At least, it would suggest that's how Shamura saw it. But I'm liking this line of thought, so let's say their read is accurate.

Shamura saw that Narinder. Could also be Forneus. And Shamura loved Narinder the most, so...

Narinder and Heket's disdain for each other stems from them competing for the same role in their family: The matriarch. Shamura's second in command, and the boys' caretaker.

Not in a "raise them" type of way, at least not in Kallamar's case. But to guide and influence them. To be the one they trust and rely on. Heket has been that. And, intentionally or not, Narinder intrudes on that.

Narinder's the 'other woman' lmao

As a bonus:

Baal is aligned with his father (you get Tears of the Vengeful Father in exchange for him). Aym is aligned with his mother (ditto for Tears of the Merciful Mother).

If Aym = Kallamar; Baal = Leshy; Forneus = Heket; and The Father = Shamura

Then that dynamic is actually reflected in this Tarot Card. It pairs Kallamar with Heket, and Leshy with Shamura. :3

Overindulgence on Valentine's Day Chocolate~ 🍫💦

This was a very silly little idea I had in my head for Valentine's Day. It was originally going to just be a one-shot fanfiction I write but you should all know by now... xD

Now as for the art, it's pretty self explanatory; our favorite silly little CEO received a lot of appreciation chocolate from some of the citizens of Kanai Ward. Touched by the gesture and finally receiving love reciprocated by the city he loved so much, he didn't leave a single sweet treat given to him untouched or uneaten.

This would later lead to disaster ;w;

Thankfully Yuma is there to lend him a helping hand :3

The best home remedy for an tummy ache is a good tummy rub 🩷

Okay, so I was honestly wanting to write a story like this for a while but was incredibly shy about it... Because upset tummy rubs lowkey are another very small guilty pleasure of mine. When a person gets an upset stomach from either being sick or from overeating, I personally find it to be a very comforting, touching and even at times very intimate gesture. (I even remember trying it myself to help a friend of mine w gastritis in highschool)

Sadly, I felt very shy and even embarrassed to want to try and write something like this, let alone draw it out... Tummy rubs are unfortunately often seen as kinks or are fetishized by other people so it's often seen as weird to the public... So it made me feel nervous to even share this story and art. I did have lots of fun drawing it, but I'm saying it right now, I do NOT fetishize this okay? ><;

(not trying to kink shame, its just not my intention here is all ;w;)

In fact; abdominal massages (a.k.a tummy rubs) are actually a real medical procedure to recover the pressure in one's stomach.

The pose of this art was incredibly difficult to draw but I am fairly happy with the way it came out. Yuma looks either doting or affectionate towards Makoto and Makoto looks perfectly relaxed laying in his lap c: Yuma politely took his shoes off but Makoto is the type to leave his shoes on even when he’s laying on furniture (we saw it in ch4 twice lol) They're such cuties, I love them so much💕 (I even added a kitty to convince myself that its cute and not weird... ;w;)

Truth be told, this idea was actually semi-inspired by a little doodle that @cochidinh drew on X. It made me think that if Makoto received valentines from the people of Kanai Ward, would he eat all of them?

And thus this story was born c: (its meant to be silly so please try not to take it too seriously... ;w; They may seem OOC here, I did my best but this is my first time ever writing a story like this so I might be rusty... ;w;)

Of Blade And Bloom University AU!

Teufort University – East Dormitories – 8:12 a.m.

Red had always been a light packer. Everything she owned fit into two duffel bags and a sturdy, military-grade trunk with rusted latches and peeling stickers from a life lived too fast. She didn’t like clutter. Didn’t like mess. Didn’t like reminders.

Her boots thudded against the polished tile of the East Hall dorm corridor as she scanned the brass-plated doors for her new number. 3C. Her new home. New semester. New chances not to screw things up.

Inside her chest, her heartbeat ticked like a time bomb.

The keycard beeped, the door clicked open, and she stepped into a half-empty dorm. Neat, sterile. Three desks. Three beds. Three closets. Her third was untouched. The other two were already lived in—textbooks stacked high, one bed sloppily made, something that smelled faintly like chemicals wafting from a desk drawer, posters of human anatomy lining the walls above the other bed.

So her roommates were here.

“Hey! You Red?”

She turned around fast, hand half-reaching for the switchblade she no longer held. Old habits.

The voice came from the doorway—a girl barely taller than Red, with blunt cut bangs and long brown hair flowing freely and unevenly, with safety goggles perched on her forehead like a fashion statement. She stood on the balls of her feet, dressed in grey sweatpants and what seemed to be a pajama shirt with the collar cut, decorated with a gas mask.

Olivia. Chemistry and Fire Science major.

“I’m your roommate, well, one of em.” she said with a wide grin, shouldering a backpack that clinked ominously. “I brought snacks. And thermite.”

Red blinked. “…Great.”

JEREMY “SCOUT” WILLIS

Teufort University – South Dormitories – 10:47 a.m.

“I called top bunk, bro.”

“You weren’t here.”

Jeremy’s duffel hit the floor with a thump as he stared up at the smug Australian stretched across the top bed like a damn jungle cat. “I was on my way. I told you in the group chat.”

“Didn’t read it.”

Jeremy groaned. “God, you suck.”

“Cheers.”

Move-in day was already a disaster. His cleats were soaked from the sprinklers outside, Coach Doe had already texted about the preseason lifting schedule (Sundays too?), and now his roommate was some silent, half-feral bushman who smelled faintly of eucalyptus and gun oil.

Mick Mundy—Biomedical Engineering major, heavy on the “bio.” Rarely spoke unless it was to be sarcastic or threatening. Great.

Jeremy flopped onto the lower bed, arms outstretched.

Another year. Sophomore year. He had a scholarship to keep, a fastball to fix, and now a roommate who probably shot rabbits in his free time.

But hey. Could be worse.

FLO PAULING

Teufort University – Criminal Sciences Wing – 1:16 p.m.

“Second floor, end of the hall. And remember: don’t touch the bones unless you’re gloved up.”

Flo clutched her orientation packet and stared at the skeletal remains laid out in the display case beside the department lounge. Every vertebra was labeled in red ink. Someone had dressed the skull in sunglasses and a tiny foam hat. She had a feeling she knew exactly who did it.

Medic.

More accurately: Prof. Ludwig, for Advanced Forensic Medicine and a looming presence in the halls, with a sharp grin and sharper scalpel collection. He technically wasn’t allowed to run labs unsupervised. Technically.

But he was brilliant. A little unhinged, maybe. But brilliant.

She adjusted her cardigan and moved on.

Criminal Science was what she loved. Crime scenes. Cold cases. Answers in the smallest traces. And her dorm this year came with two roommates: Olivia—whose locker in Chem class once caught on fire—and a new girl named Red Van Acker. There’s no way that’s her real name right?

She was curious.

PROFESSOR MIKHAIL

Teufort University – Russian Literature Department – 3:00 p.m.

Mikhail read through the syllabus draft once more before printing.

Week 2: Tolstoy. Week 5: Chekhov. Week 9: “Crime and Punishment.” Midterms before snow.

His office was quiet, save for the creak of old floorboards and the steady tick of the grandfather clock in the corner. He enjoyed the peace here. Enjoyed literature. Believed in the power of words, though he spoke few himself.

He had a full roster this semester. Names he didn’t recognize, and a few he did. Jeremy Willis had taken his class last fall. Fidgety. Wore headphones too often. But wrote well.

This semester would bring more students. More stories. He would guide them through the frozen landscapes of Russian prose with the patience of a mountain.

And he would keep hot tea by the window. For those who needed it.

Teufort University – Engineering Lab A – 5:22 p.m.

Dell set down the wrench, wiped his hands on a rag, and checked the schedule one more time.

Six labs this semester. Three lecture classes. Two incoming research assistants. And a full crop of eager second-years ready to learn how to build things that didn’t explode.

He glanced at Mick Mundy’s file. “Biomedical Engineering” was written in red ink. The kid had a sharp mind, steady hands, and a weird interest in prescieion.

“Just gotta keep him outta the welding shit,” Dell muttered.

That morning, he was watching a silent security feed from Magnus Hall. A slow smile curled beneath his mask.

“Miss Van Acker,” he murmured, eyes narrowing, “and young Mister Willis. Interesting.”

From the desk, a single red folder sat unopened. On the cover: Jeremy Willis – Athletic Scholarship, Conditional. He tapped it once with a gloved hand.

The Administrator sat at her polished desk, reviewing the enrollment data.

Fresh faces. Transcripts. Disciplinary flags. So many lives, spiraling into another semester of sleepless nights and caffeine-fueled chaos. Her fingers steepled under her chin.

She looked over the names again, the fresh blood.

They were lightning rods, each one of them. Trouble walked where they walked. But it made for interesting transcripts.

The school year had begun.

What are some of the basic highlights of either of your favorite things?

Minthe's favorite things:

Food: Gods they're such a picky fucking eater, and not even death could fix this affliction...but they're partial to citrus (especially lemon flavored things), cheeses, breads, spicy things, and Meat

Color: Mint gr— blue. They like blue :] Especially anything that's been dyed with azurite for that nice sumptuous blue! Their "in-game" keepsake, the Azure Inkwell, is a noteworthy thing for them to offer up from their supply to anybody who's earned it, since azurite ink was rather hard to come by!

Flower: Delphinium, specifically larkspur! In-universe, it would've been seen as a way to ward off evil spirits, which came in handy given their living line of work. And also ofc, because they're blue

Season: Autumn! One could make an argument for either winter or spring to come up in second, but they Detest summer

Animal: Stoats and weasels!! As well as cats and birds, particularly corvidae :3 They're strongly associated with crows and magpies

Orph's favorite things:

Food: Eurydice's cooking I feel like he's not one to turn down much offered to him out of politeness! Dependent on what Stages of Orphism™ we're daring to dip into, he's prolly on an all veg diet sdksdfk but I think he deserves to have a treat. Honey, figs, and seafood seem good for him

Color: Purple! There's probably a certain fondness for orange and green in there as well!

Flower: White Madonna lilies! He thinks they have an elegant shape, and Minthe thinks they're big and ostentatious like his hair :] He's also fond of sunflowers for their association with his patron!

Season: I feel like he Wants to like summer but just can't fully commit to it...he's a fellow autumn-head...it's much more agreeable to him

Animal: He's also partial to birds! More songbirds than anything. He's got bugboy vibes too, give that bard a shiny beetle or butterfly to look at...he's right as rain...

Are either of you klutzy and accident-prone? Does the other act as a steadying force, or are they just as much of a walking disaster?

Minthe may not necessarily be the clumsy type, but there's a certain Propensity that they have for finding themself in precarious positions. Mostly on account that they're always climbing on shit they shouldn't and it drives Orph up the fucking wall!!

One of the first instances of them really taking Note of how it felt for them to touch each other was when Minthe was doing touch-ups on the Great Hall mural while standing on the top-most rung of a ladder — They would've had quite the tumble if Orph hadn't been quick on his feet to catch them mid-fall by the waist. Only for them to both realize. It prolly would've been okay if they'd hit the floor. They are shades, after all.

Autobots are more fun to chase, but Decepticons taste better since it's canon they have better fuel lmao. and due to the nature of how they fight, I imagine it's a lot harder to get a 'con dead in one piece. so the answer is Decepticons anfjfbfkdjdn. I actually hc that RTE takes Blitzwing on scavenger missions "for extra protection" (they do not want to be separated especially when there's potential danger even if RTE is notorious enough most Autobots don't want to fuck with them) and it's finders keepers on any offlined Decepticons. if one of them decides to share it's like a fucked up version of Lady and the Tramp. who says romance is dead 💖

ngl I kinda think they're banned from drinking on the Nemesis cause they're somehow even MORE insufferable to everyone else. they're both loud, "everything is funny" drunk. they're going to start a fight with someone. multiple someones, if it can be arranged. some equipment is definitely going to get broken. RTE probably starts popcorning (rat zoomies) at some point. the whole ship is a disaster area the next day 😂

🏹 | how they would fight together in a battle

no matter what, the chaos conjunxes are devastating in a fight! if they're arguing with each other, they're on opposite sides of the battlefield, smacking Autobots around and barely even noticing because they're too busy yelling at each other over the carnage. and when they're working together, oh man, good luck figuring out what the hell is going on. they like to divebomb right into the middle of things, weapons blazing, making as big a mess as possible. RTE's favorite is catching a ride on either of Blitzwing's alt modes and letting him steer while the scavenger goes feral with their missiles, both of them shouting all kinds of insults and nonsense the whole time. it's chaos, all right!

80% of the time the big spoon is RTE by default cause they sleep curled up on top of Blitzy. like I inexplicably hc him as a stomach sleeper and RTE likes to lay on him, almost as a protective thing! but sometimes Blitzwing gets to be the big spoon too, if one of them is especially cuddly :] they're everything to me<3

Second, I've been on an RE:Village kick lately, long live the autism. Less of a party prompt, more of a "Bright has been set loose in the village, gods save us all". (/lh). Down the Burrow

Title: A play on "Down the rabbit hole", which was also the original name for the concept but decided to just name it "Down the Burrow".

Concept: Not really an AU, but more or less a concept/story. While there is the "Prime"/Canon burrow (which hosts Bunnyx alongside her future versions), you can access other sets of burrows through tunnels.

One of those will be the main burrow the story will follow (aka the Burrow for my AUs/timelines).

Rabbit miraculous powers/ruleset/etc

Unlike the actual show, when a timeline changes/something happens, there won't be any disappearance when the user is transformed. It's when they detransform when they have to worry, as they have to transform quickly before the time catches up with them.

This will explain some "rogue" Bunnyx with no timeline/universe roaming the burrow and timelines, as they're transformed, so they have protection.

A rabbit miraculous user will start to feel shivers down their spine if something threatens the timelines/universe.

A universe has its timelines like a tree, it all starts with a point which spreads into different branches. It's a Bunnyx job to watch over and be sure to get rid of timelines that can risk the integrity of the universe, but don't get rid of too many timelines, as that can kill the universe. (Like a tree, if you cut off all the branches, it dies).

Black cat unification: Technically, the way most bunnies get rid of bad timelines is identifying what leads to said timeline and trying to prevent that. Unification with the black cat miraculous allows someone to erase a timeline branch with no need to change anything in the past. However this puts so much strain on the user once detransformed they may end up sick.

Ladybug unification: Honestly, while the black cat can destroy timelines, the ladybug miraculous can create timelines. I don't know if I'll explore this in the stories.

Some of the bunnies in the "disaster" burrow [honestly I'm still working on a proper name for this burrow to be exact]

Animotif/Unlikely Friendship Alix [nicknamed "Bucktooth"]: The rabbit miraculous was passed down through generations with the instruction of it being handed to Alix. After the Timebreaker incident, she inspects the watch and then pops out Fluff. Ever since she tends to join the burrow, training with her future self and spending time with "Killer Bunny" and "KitBun"

Broken Hearts Alix [nicknamed "Killer Bunny"]: Similar to UF!Alix, the watch is a family heirloom that was meant to go to her. However, seeing the watch being broken... did broke something inside her. She may seem cold and edgy but deep down she cares about the fellow bunnies. Trains with her future self, and spends time with "Bucktooth" and "KitBun". Though fair warning, as her and "Bucktooth" don't get along at all as kids. (Their adult counterparts are besties, and both kinda cringe seeing their tiny versions act like this). The adults and KitBun try to be mediators.

Madame Bug and Axel Noire Alix [nicknamed "KitBun"]. Similar to the rest, she did get a pocket watch at her 15th birthday. Not only that, but she got entrusted the black cat miraculous by Fu. The other bunnies gave her the "KitBun" nickname since she has both the rabbit and cat miraculi. While she has a future version that visits the burrow, it's mainly the teen/present day version who ends up going on time related missions... alongside needing to be there for Madame when there's an akuma attack. The mediator between the other two primary bunnies. They're a trio of sorts.

There are two "rogue" Bunnyx roaming around the burrow/timelines. One who tries her best to actually help other universes in need, another who thinks her way to fix the timelines is to make them carbon copies of the canon universe (which is how she lost her original universe).

I'll probably write down the rest of the bunnies at a later date, since I do have some I want to share, but later :3c

Some more info on the trio

They aren't supposed to wonder through other universes/timelines, since they're still in training. Though the trio still go on their own solo missions, either in their own timelines or others.

Timebreaker doesn't really happen in their universes, I want to have them be in the burrow since day 1 so we're rolling with it.

i never really think about this much since i have such a large clan but this is getting me thinking.. /vpos. she is the type of girl to get crushes/squishes that she can't really define and doesn't know what to do about them. she's had four so far— one is in the cat equivalent of heaven, one is in the cat equivalent of hell, one was exiled for turning traitor, and the last is her closest friend & the deputy of the clan. this is either really funny or really tragic, you decide ig hfhdjd. i wouldn't say her crushes are romantic, but she definitely feels a tug towards certain cats who are compassionate and playful like her. not sure she's the commitment type, she doesn't want to have a mate or only one best friend you know? she's happy as she is, but that won't stop her platonically flirting a little :3 and i think she definitely knows how unique she looks and will show off a bit haha

🌳 what do their life goals look like? deputy, leader, healer, etc?

interestingly enough, i considered Azurite for the deputy position before in the singular time that i had to pick a deputy, but a different cat worked better with the leader. i still have her marked down as a potential good deputy - and i would love for her to be! - but i'm not sure if it's in the cards for her at her age. she's not quite a senior adult yet, but still, she's like 7 years old and has been in this clan since she was just over 1. i think the girl deserves the chance to be an elder since she's seen each and every clan disaster

in Azurite's mind... she probably would never guess that she would ever be picked for deputy, unless the leader was her friend or something like that. she's a troublesome girl, but not ambitious or rambunctious, and she is happy with her life as a warrior :] she will probably try to avoid retirement as much as possible lmao

similarly to their son, Tumbleblaze has not been in the clan long enough to make many friends just yet. similar to her son once again, all of her highest relationships at the moment are her family, and she has mostly spent her time with them including stargazing with their son, Firepaw :]! other than that, she has been interacting positively with their new clanmates including having a mock battle with Milkpaw and sharing tongues (the cat version of bonding over gossip) with Bluebellcatcher, both young cats. they're getting along well with similarly aged and older ones too, including Azurite :D

i couldn't tell you how many friends she would like to have, but considering they've only been in the clan for 4 moons and have already been so kind to so many, i bet she'd like many friends :] i'll see if she gains a close friend in the future!

🕸 what does their family tree look like?

good question! i suppose i didn't disclose that in Heatherpaw's ask response haha; she has three sons called Heatherpaw, Firepaw & Sagepaw and a daughter called Flickerpaw! as far as i know, that's their only family. also, fun fact! Flickerpaw is the first and (at present) only paralyzed cat in SpringClan ^w^

they joined the clan to become a healer (as well as to provide a safe place for her kits to grow up, as they were only 4 moons old at the time). i've never before had a loner with kits join and automatically become a healer, but i read her generated description about being a travelling healer and decided yeah, they can stay a healer, especially since the clan needs the extra help. she enjoys her role and i don't think she would ever change it :]

🪲 what do they value the most?

caring for others, i'd say. she's very strict with her beliefs; if there was ever a disaster, she would be the one helping other cats and commanding everyone else to do so too. they would never leave someone behind, y'know?

🌱 what is their favorite location on the territory?

ooooo... i haven't really got an exact idea of the territory that SpringClan has (even though i've been playing it for 94 moons. winces. /silly (though if someone were to ask i'd love to find some reference images of what it looks like in my head! wink)), however i would say Tumbleblaze is fascinated by the river that brings so much life to the area they live in. in all their travels, they have never seen such an abundant mountainous area, so she loves to collect herbs right by the spring :]!

🙀 what do they fear the most?

hmmm.... she doesn't seem the sort of cat to get scared, or even lose her cool, very often. i will probably have a better answer in the future when there's another clan disaster heh, but for now i would say her biggest fears are losing her kits (obviously) and them growing up into heartless cats; the worst thing in the world would be to lose them, but it would break her entire soul if her children didn't care about/were indifferent to others’ suffering, because that goes against all she stands for and has taught them. in all fairness to her, she has valid reason to think this as a possibility, since it has happened many times before in SpringClan (coughs at Houndroar's family and the clan leader's descendants). but it seems her kits are on good paths so far. just hoping Heatherpaw learns to overcome his biases, even though i love the juicy drama haha

Hi Lego Monkie Kid is a good and fun show and I needed to distract myself tonight, so here. Patch is my very silly OC that came about from me going "oh shit hot evil ladies" and then, as I do, things just kinda kept going.

The quick n dirty summary so far: Patch is (possibly) the eldest of 8 siblings, all of whom are cat yaoguai. Their mom has some sort of debt to Princess Iron Fan, and Patch is determined to repay it. Her enormous crush on the lady notwithstanding. She's... not necessarily always very helpful, as she's an independent little tumbleweed who gets very cagey about her family's secrets and powers. Not, of course, that her family is anything special! Just a bunch of merchants, really :3c Where are they from originally? Oh, somewhere around Tyre. I guess her mom's from some weird place no one's ever heard of called Ulthar...

So Patch and Pluck are a pair of calico twins, and no one knows which is the eldest, because generally "one-eyed calico" is a good enough descriptor to pick up which kid came first. They both lay claim to the title for funsies, and refer to each other as "elder sister" and "elder brother" for maximum confusion. If you know cat facts, yes, Pluck is trans! Patch started pitching her voice up as a kid to help him cover, and never really dropped the habit. If you listen to her sing, she's a bit deeper than you'd expect from listening to her talk.

Pluck is somewhat less of a disaster than his sister, or at least, less obviously one. While her family teases her about falling for every hot villain lady without ever realizing it until they are Obviously Puppy-Kicking Evil, Pluck falls for self-sacrificing heroes with fat asses. (He prefers to describe it as liking "kind and compassionate people, even to their own detriment. With fat asses.") Personable and with a talent for languages, he's the front man for most of the family business. This means he travels a lot, but he always tries to keep an eye out for all of his siblings, and will especially make time for Patch and her problems.

Warp is the next eldest, and takes her inspiration from Pallas cats and a few design cues from spiders. (She should look chonkier in the pic, I have failed her, but the 4 arms are tricky.) Her name is from warp threads, the lengthwise threads on a loom that are capable of handling immense strain and pressure. She is very talented with all areas of sewing, clothing making, and seamstress-ing, but she also maintains the family pathways between worlds, called weirdways. She's brusque, has trouble picking up on emotions, and not great with social niceties, so she's more than happy to mostly stay home and work with stock and weirdway management. She's excellent with numbers in any case, and her family try hard to be sure she never feels left out.

Essentially, this is just. A family of mercantile cats who squeeze through cracks in different worlds! The C'thulu mythos crossover is mostly to justify that, and otherwise plays a minuscule part. They are pretty careful about what they allow to slip between worlds, and are generally limited to what they can individually carry, but over the years they've picked up some interesting items and storage solutions. They generally aren't anywhere near the strongest or most threatening in any given dimension, and they don't want to be! They love picking up stories and gossip, but they know they aren't exactly the material of legends themselves.

Their mom (the tiniest Turkish Angora) mostly deals with business negotiations and upper management these days, and each kid sort of picked a different world or direction to explore and form a market in.(The compass rose is somewhere on the inspiration board of all this.) Sir-Not-Appearing, Breaker, loves water and the ocean, and has been hanging around Vikings recently. Might have a crush on Thor.

All of these names are essentially their use names; not at all what they were named at birth, but the names they go by in their travels, and often at home as well. The fact that these names often have a kind of shady second meaning is definitely a coincidence. Yep! Coincidence. There is no cat crime.

I just thought of the wildest crackship. I'm sorry to be drowning you in all of these silly scenarios lately, but... this is the last one.

What if, in an AU, that Fiona and Yuri fake date. Chloe convinces Yuri to go on a double date with her, she would like get to know her collague better. They can all have an inner-monologue of Wise Spy vs SSS throughout the renzevous which is over the top as hell.

Yuri and Fiona argue like a married couple, while Chloe hits it off with Agent Daybreak and it turns out to be a lovely night for the latter.

.... I don't know why since Chloe is definitely smart and part of the SSS and would figure out that Daybreak is a spy, but... I just randomly pictured them together since they are both characters for their countries, don't have much character development yet, and wear cute hats. Like, they would be the total opposite of Yuri and Fiona when it comes to Spy×SSS.

... Oh. Oh, no. I just pictured Daybreak giving Chloe flowers and she's all ":3c" I just may ship them for real now.

On one hand, I don't know if Chloe would put up with a guy like Daybreak, but on the other hand I kinda like the idea that Chloe has a thing for men who are human disasters

Daybreak would probably be happy she knows he's a spy despite the fact spies are supposed to be anonymous (honestly it's a miracle the SSS hadn't arrested him yet...dude has to be doing something right)

Decided to check out the audio drama Fawx & Stallion this weekend and GUYS... guys this show is SO FUNNY. I couldn't stop laughing for the first three episodes straight.

It's the story of some wannabe detectives living in Victorian London. Specifically, they live at 224B Baker Street, just across the street from a certain pair of decidedly more famous detectives--and they're sick and tired of having all their potential cases scooped by Sherlock Fucking Holmes. Luckily for them, while Holmes and Watson are out of town looking into some matter about a dog, a new case comes along and drops--by default--into our would-be heroes' laps.

And just who are these aspiring crime-solvers?

Hampton Fawx: detective and gentleman. What he lacks in common sense he makes up for with raw theater-kid enthusiasm.

James Stallion: gentleman and detective. A loyal friend and companion when he's not being a self-important arse. Runs on approximately 20% gin and 80% spite.

and finally Madge: neither gentleman nor detective. She's just been stood up by her date and she's going to make that everyone else's problem. She'll agree to help on this case just for the Drama.

It's a hysterical romp so far. A lighthearted farce set just offscreen from Holmes' own capers (for now!). Our main trio lacks even a single braincell to share between them, but by GOD they're going to solve this case and I'm going to be cheering them on the whole way there!

From what I can tell, new episodes are typically every other Monday, but the show's on a short hiatus for the holidays, to return in 2023. The first five are currently available to listen to, though, and I highly recommend it!

Rayne made an unofficial @bonelyheartsclub Killer already, but since it's not canon yeeeeet I figured I'd make my own for now :3c

In Killer's comics, he eventually leaves Nightmare, teaming up with Color!Sans from Othertale (who... I should learn more about and design a fan BHC counterpart for as well) to fight the "Bad Sanses." Now they've settled in the BHC verse with his two cats. His new name is River.

River has dedicated his time on the surface to helping others. He works as a firefighter (unless one of the canon BHC boys has this profession already) and volunteers, especially with disaster relief and teaching community self-defense classes.

Although River hopes for a peaceful life, he's still struggling with PTSD and hypervigilance. He's the kind of person who clocks every entry/exit whenever he walks into a room, and prefers to have his back to a wall at all times so he can't be snuck up on. His choice of clothing tends to be heavy-duty enough for some protection in a fight in case the need arises, including thick canvas pants and combat boots. River still has a deep distrust, even hatred of Nightmare, and it's hard for him to truly believe that the days of violence are all in his past now. He's developed a bit of knife anxiety -- seeing or handling one won't send him into a full-blown panic attack, but he can get queasy from it at times.

To deal with all of this, River has a pretty strict meditation and exercise routine. He likes working out with Blue and the more active Papyri, as there's safety in numbers and he enjoys the energetic company. He went through a period of near asceticism due to guilt, abstaining from anything that was for pleasure or indulgence, but he's finally coming out of his shell a little more and letting himself enjoy life again, eating junk food, taking naps, etc. in moderation.

In relationships, I'll die on the hill of Rahaf's "he's a very romantic guy" joke.  He can be over the top, but loves making his partner feel loved. 💖
