Today we also celebrate the Venerable Parasceva of Sarov-Diveyevo, the Fool-for-Christ (+1915). Saint Parasceva was left a widow at a young age when she started living a life of wondering. Being secretly tonsured a nun, she fled to the wilderness where she spent her days in unceasing prayer and vigil. On the glorification of Saint Seraphim of Sarov in 1903, Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra visited holy one. It was her custom to put a lot of sugar in the tea of her visitors if something bad was going to happen to them. So much sugar was put in the Tsar's tea that it spilled over. She foretold them the birth of an heir, and also the fall of Tsarist Russia. Saint Parasceva kept a portrait of the Tsar, in front of which she made full prostrations - foretelling of his impending martyrdom and glorification. The Venerable Parasceva reposed on this day in 1915 at the age of 120. Grand Duchess Olga Nikolaevna Romanova of Russia with "Rita" Khitrovo.

Margarita “Rita” Sergeevna Khitrovo was born on the 17 October 1895 to Sergei and Lyubov Khitrovo. She was one of ten children, and two of her brothers died in the Civil War defending the Tsar. Upon graduating the esteemed Smolny Institute, Rita became a loyal Maid-of-Honour and friend to the Romanovs. She worked alongside Olga and Tatiana as a nurse during the Great War and followed them into exile.

Rita left Russia for Yugoslavia, where she married Vladimir Georgievich Erdeli.She resurfaced after World War II in a displaced persons camp in Salzburg, Austria with her husband Vladimir.They spent four years there and eventually immigrated to the United States, joining her other brother, Mikhail. They were poor and her husband very ill; she sent letters to royal exiles in the US imploring their help, and funded the trip by parting with her carefully protected Romanov possessions.

Rita died on the 26 March, 1952 and was buried in the Novo Diveevo Monastery in New York,
