I’m a wreck.
I don’t have Naveed yet so I’ve only just got around to reading his stories, and honestly, I’ve had the wind knocked out of me. There is SO many good things to unpack here:
- The topic of different types of love and that no one type is inherently more important/stronger/“better” than the other.
- The definition of love being interpreted as not just something felt between a partner or family, but demonstrated through small gestures like helping others.
- The different experiences and needs between those of monogamous love and non-monogamous love, and how they’re equally deserving of respect and understanding.
- That even though Naveed and Euden have different experiences in the way they feel love for others, neither are considered right, wrong, normal or abnormal. Their experiences are their own and even if they aren’t quite the right fit for one another, there’s nothing wrong with that. Their experiences are justified just because that’s how they are.
- Self-Acceptance. Even though Naveed realised he wasn’t right for Euden, he didn’t blame himself or Euden for their feelings. As well as accepting Euden’s experiences, he accepted his OWN, and was able to form a mutual understanding with Euden while resolving to fulfill his emotional needs elsewhere. In turn, Euden didn’t consider his own experiences to be wrong or bad.
- The concept that Euden is a person who can’t choose between those he cares about, and can’t prioritise one over another the way a person who experiences monogamous love may do so. He needs many people, and all of his friends equally, and it’s not considered strange or defective to feel that way.
- Found family and how important it is.
I never thought I would find something like this, so eloquent and so close to mine and others’ experiences that are considered “obscure” and an oddity in a game like this. It’s made me so very very happy that I can’t even describe the capacity of how I feel.
CyGames are truly spectacular.
#dragalia lost#Euden Is Fuckin ARO!!!!!#this caught my heart in a vice I can’t believe.....how amazing it is#looking at it through a personal lens it’s like.. the perfect metaphor for how arospec experiences differ to allos#and it says ‘all love is wonderful and good and should be celebrated’#CyGames said Aro Rights - I am ASTOUNDED#I feel like this could be representative of both aro AND polyam people#although Euden is wired up in a platonic sense the point is there for polyam experiences too!#I believe#feel free to kick my ass on that though#I just feel....so happy#if I had to say I had canon proof that Euden is aro - or at least aro CODED#it would be this..#my heart is so full#dl euden#dl naveed#dragon.txt#dragalia

Thunder grumbled as a flash of lighting struck through the dark blanket of twilight skies. The rumbling sound angrily resonated through the stretch of clouds as if the heavens were to wash away human sins that have long been plaguing this era of the 21st century. A shower of rain soon followed that started in huge droplets and later cascaded from the slate grey clouds like waterfall.
Checking your old leather watch, it was only 6PM. It had been two hours since the power outage doomed the whole neighborhood because the utility poles were severely damaged after the hurricane ravaged the city yesterday.
The thick soles of your boots landed heavily on the tessellated sidewalk with your every step, holding your umbrella closer to seal you from the heavy rainfall. Your eyes followed the beads of rain that bounced off the cold cement as your mind wandered farther than where your body could take you to.
You have left your boyfriend Rintarou sleeping in bed back in your shared apartment so you could walk around the city and drop by the church. It wasn’t like you sneaked out, but was only reluctant of letting him know of your whereabouts because you could already feel the ire that would potentially grow within him once he did find out. Before you left, you did ensure that his silver rosary was still enclosed around his neck just for your sanity.
It had also been awhile since you last paid a visit to the church and since there was nothing else to do due to the lack of electricity, you thought that it would be perfect to take this opportunity to visit the cathedral where you always made solemn prayers to.
The streets were still in shambles, however. Road signages were sprawled on the sidewalk, branches were barely hanging off the trees—the city had vestiges of wreckage from the hurricane that emptied a usually busy metropolitan area today. Most people were still at the leisure of their homes as work and classes have been suspended until further notice, for everyone’s safety and to allow the government to clean the roads.
You could already imagine Rin shaking his head at your resistance to just stay indoors and simply cuddle with him. The only reason you were confident to leave his side today was because it had been awhile since the last incident. You could live with the thought of coming back home to Rin and his usual self. Rin, who was always thoughtful and tenderhearted. Never did you think that you could land a man of such warmth—a year in two days—but how you met was a story made for another day.
Amidst the already dismal atmosphere outside, stepping by the narthex inside the baroque church greeted you with an even more caliginous surrounding. Darkness enshrouded the interiors of your chosen place of worship with only so much as three paschal torches by the apse to light up the altar. Still, with God’s presence, your feet carried you in slow footsteps along the velvet red aisle as you made your way towards the nave.
You were alone in the eerie cathedral but fear did not consume as you were in attendance to the crucifix above the high altar. This was your favorite cathedral among all the others in the city simply because of its gothic Victorian architecture.
Fixed with the cathedral’s grandeur and bedight with ornate decorations, you became more comfortable at situating yourself by the pew—kneeling on the elevated wood behind the stretch of oak benches as soon as you found your usual spot.
“In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,” you whispered in sotto voce, performing a sign of the cross with your eyes glued to the crucifix that represented Jesus Christ. You had your elbows propped atop the bench as you silently prayed.
Loving and gracious God, with all love and mercy, we thank you for blessing us with another day and protecting us in times of natural disaster.
You wanted to ignore the unusual cold air that slithered on your skin in horripilation. Your prayer resumed despite the Stygian gloom that darkened the cathedral’s interior or the sound of the harsh wind slamming through the towering doors by the vestibule. The storm is coming again, you mentally noted.
With your grace and kindness, Lord I pray that you will continue to guide us—
The manly fleer echoing through the vacantness of the church made you halt from your recital. “Ah, I knew my cute church girl would be here.”
You knew that devilish voice all too well that it had you shutting your eyes, petrified. No wonder the air felt sinister. But if your gut-feeling about him was right, then there was no need to be frightened. “Rin, I’m in the middle of a prayer,” you hushed, although before you could turn around to face his silhouette, he had already transported to your side with a wicked smile plastered on his pallid face.
“I’m not Rin,” he spoke in an orotund voice, stepping closer and closer. His dark, middle-parted hair did not hide his incarnadine eyes. “Stop looking for that runt when you’re with me.”
You stepped out of the pew with a fast heartbeat, standing by the aisle as the tall man towered over you. “S-Suna, where’s your—” you searched for his silver rosary and found it still hanging around his neck, “did you break it?”
He glowered at your accusation. “You know I would if I could.”
You exhaled a deep sigh. This was not Rin, this was the malevolent Suna. You ought to be cautious of yourself. “Okay, well... Leave me alone. I’m praying.”
“No.” Each step that he took reverberated across the cathedral. He stretched his head from side to side in a manner that showed his ennui. “Don’t you miss me?”
There was no stopping to the loud thumping of your heart as you stood along the aisle with Suna backing you off further to the center. “Suna, I said not now,” you begged, but he refused to listen and only wiped his lower lip with his thumb.
“Don’t make me wait. Let me suck,” he ordered, stepping forward until your lower back hit the credence table at the altar. You found yourself trapped in a decreasing distance between yourself and the sadistic vampire in front of you. “Don’t look so scared. We do this every time.”
“I’m not scared, but...” Your voice was getting softer, yet filled with fret. You pressed a hand on his chest as he locked your body with both arms around the table. “Please, not here.” You had to be firm, you just had to be but you couldn’t muster the courage to fight back in Suna’s presence. He was the embodiment of power and you were the representation of weakness.
“I’ll be quick,” he bargained, undoing the upper buttons of your dress despite your failed attempts at pushing him away. Doing it at such a place! You sent him a glare but he only returned a sly smile. “How about we show your God what you’re really like underneath that maidenly exterior, hm? Show him how dirty you really are?”
God, help me. You desperately shook your head, now overthinking if someone could see what he was about to do to you in this holy sanctuary. Long before you could cover your chest, he already pinned your wrist on the side as he lowered the fabric to show your collar. “Suna—!”
“Don’t be shy,” the whisper he sent through the shell of your ear caused shivers to your spine. With his heightened senses, he placed his mouth on your ear, “No one’s here to watch us except for your God. Be a good girl now.”
You tried to push him once more to no avail as he already sunk his canines on the flesh above your shoulder. There was no warning to prepare you from the puncture. “I-It hurts!”
Your nails dug onto your palms to leave crescent marks on your flesh while you were squirming out of his strict hold.
“It hurts? Good.” He quaffed on your blood, gulping the hot liquid down his parched throat as he caged your waist around his arm. The feeling of his teeth pricking your skin and sucking your blood had you whimpering in pain. His eyes had grown rutilant when he momentarily pulled away to look at you. “Holy shit. It gets warm when you’re frightened,” and then he erupted into a deep chuckle as if you were a meal that he was seasoning with a sprinkle of fear, “I should really just keep you for myself.”
Your desire to breathe grew exponentially. “I’m not yours.”
A low sneer and a dissatisfied ego had you pressed against the oak table in surprise. “Yes, you are,” he reiterated as though he was enforcing the idea in your head. “Your soul, your heart, your body—you are mine.”
“I’m not! I wasn’t born in this world to be your property,” you protested, pulling away from his grip only to be slammed harsher on the table. You knew you should never anger a vampire but his possessive nature irked you. Aside from your already shameful situation, you wanted nothing but to get away from him. “You’re evil.”
“What makes you so brave? Your beliefs?” he gritted, reaching for an object near your head that turned out to be the Bible. “This?” he quickly opened the sacred handbook and ripped the pages in front of your very eyes with a distasteful smile. How easily he ripped it, how easily he also tossed it. “Whatever, then. There’s no God. You humans are complete idiots for worshipping a nonexistent being. Weren’t you the ones saying vampires would burn in churches?”
That rosaries, garlic, and silver would ward them off—none of it turned out to be true. Still, he had no right to mock God like this.
You sat back up, revolted by his blasphemy. “Don’t taint my beliefs with yours. My faith in Him is stronger than you think.”
“You should know what it’s like to be in hell before you say that shit,” he retorted, placing his lips back on your ear, “I’ll take you there with me.”
This is not the time and place! What a shameful situation he was putting you through, so unbelievably shameful and obscene that you couldn’t look at him in the eyes. “Suna, I swear. I’m going home if you’re gonna keep on—”
He huffed, showing boredom by dismissing you with a wave of his hand. “Ah, fine. You’re boring. Continue the fucking prayer, then.”
For one of two things; first, Suna would never let you off easily. Every act of defiance would garner you a punishment. Second, he was a time bomb. You never knew when his most cruel intentions would come to show. He was a malefic being that wouldn’t give two shits about where he was as long as he was having fun at torturing your soul.
You should have known that when you chose to finish your prayer back at the pew. Suna would simply not last long enough to just sit by your side in his apathy.
“Holy Father, please forgive us for our sins—”
He snorted of ill-humor. “Bullshit.”
And while you sat there looking up at the crucifix, Suna’s hand was already sneaking its way under your skirt. His icy fingers traced your inner thighs until he reached your center which was when you finally grabbed his wrist to stop him with wide, scandalized eyes. Was anyone on the qui vive to see you right now?
“Suna, for God’s sake,” you hissed, pulling his wrist away but his slender fingers were already coordinating motions against your clothed core. You had to look around in panic lest there be any unknown audience peeking from the shadows. Despite your refusal to submit, the contact was eliciting suppressed moans out of your parted lips. “Y-You’re insane. This isn’t the place.”
His smile was full of triumph and excitement. “What makes it different?” he asked, raising your skirt and inserting his fingers inside your underwear. You had to press your lips together as soon as he started rubbing his fingers on your clit. “See, you enjoy the fuck out of it. Go and show your God how slutty you are.”
Your palm was pressed on his chest while his other hand tried to spread your legs open. The very position you were in—leaned on the wooden bench, legs spread apart, and being fingered in the presence of God—you were certainly going to hell. This was going against your belief, having your chastity corrupted in arrant disgrace by a man who was closely associated to the Devil himself.
How exactly did you find yourself in this predicament? You came here to offer a quick prayer, not to be pressed on the bench by a man who was now unbuckling his belt in haste. You could only think of how Rin, who was an angel beyond his demons, was perhaps trying to come out of being trapped in the dungeon where Suna had him caged.
“This is so wrong,” your lips quivered as you spoke, both of the curling of your toes and of the shameless sacrilegious act. You knew you couldn’t stop this no matter how hard you tried because Suna would remain tenacious until he got what he wanted.
With that, you fully submitted yourself to him and let the back of your head rest on the wooden surface while you stared at the stained glass that roofed the cathedral in different hues.
Suna was fast to display a smirk while positioning his hardened length on your entrance. The bands of your underwear were now resting mid-thigh as he pressed himself down on you with one knee supporting the angle of his hips. He was running his throbbing tip between your plump folds to lubricate himself with your slick. No screams could be released because you restrained your own whimpers, but your tears brimmed on the corner of your eyes from the initial penetration.
“Ngh!” Your nails dug deep on his forearms. “S-Suna!”
“You crying?” His carmine eyes glinted of sadistic humor, running his gelid thumb across your lower lip only to sink it deep inside your mouth. “How does it feel knowing that the God you worship can’t save you?”
A tear slid down from your eyes to your temple as Suna started moving his hips in an achingly slow rhythm, each thrust going deeper than the last. You almost bit his thumb before he released your mouth by gripping your wrist. “Suna—someone could see—!”
To your irony, the crucifix stared down at you and enkindled your conscience from this sinful act. Father, forgive me. You could only whisper those words in your head because your mouth was too occupied in crying out Suna’s name.
“So goddamn warm.” It was hard not to think of how attracted he looked when he raked his fingers through his hair, later meeting your eyes with overpowering lust. He didn’t hold back at burying his cock into your cavern, allowing your walls to fit his girth like tight gloves—the feeling garnering his raspy grunt. “Shit. I get to fuck this all day?”
Rin. You blinked your tears away as you closed your eyes. Suna’s lips were now on your neck as he increased the pace of his member sliding in and out of your cunt with squelching noises that shamelessly echoed across the cathedral. “Suna,” your lips were on his ear, “we’re in—aah—church.”
Unlike you, he was nonchalant about the sacredness of the house of God. He was mocking the supreme being that you held faith to as an act of engraving his existence into your mortal soul. While you restrained your moans as he slammed his pelvis against your hole, there was fulfillment rattling in his bones when he pressed your face to the side before sinking his fangs on your skin.
“Cry more. Did you know your blood gets sweeter when you’re aroused?”
It was hard to describe the feeling. The median between pain and pleasure was the closest example you could liken it to. The grazing of his fangs added to the burning sensation that you had all over your body as if fire was ignited to light up all your nerves.
Your hand latched onto his shirt before his body collapsed on top of you. With your legs spread wide, his head hung low on your neck—still and unmoving, strangely like he had fallen asleep.
“Suna.” You tapped his arm through the heavy rise and fall of your chest.
And before you could move away, he shot straight up and looked at you with those foxy eyes that were now in the shade of moss. Eyes that were wide and full of horror as he looked around the cathedral before he slowly realized what he had just done.
“Y/N,” regretfully, he pulled your dress down to cover your exposed parts, “Shit. I’m so sorry. I’m sorry, I did this—I’m such a demon. I don’t—”
Long dried were the tears on your cheek. As you two scrambled to fix your clothes, you pulled him into a hug while he murmured endless sorry’s to your ear. At least, for now he was back. That was the most important thing with all the sanity you had left.
“Just get me out of here, Rin,” you said, back into the arms of your human lover.
You’ve always wondered why Rin chose to have night classes. Or why he could mimic breathing but he didn’t have a heartbeat. Or why he could eat normal food but would not die of starvation if he didn’t ingest anything for a year. Sometimes he would disappear from your sight and transport himself into another. Sometimes he would see and hear things a thousand times clearer than any other person could.
For almost a year of dating, these questions only came up to you without much of an answer. You thought that you were simply theorizing over things that you shouldn’t. Why does Rin always wear that rosary around his neck? At the back of your head, you were always intrigued.
You didn’t find out about the real reason until two months ago when you finally met ‘Suna’ out of nowhere. If Rin was Jekyll, Suna was his Hyde. It was their way to allow you to form a dissociation between the two beings in one body.
You never believed in vampires until Suna showed his bare fangs to you one night while you were supposedly peacefully sleeping. You recalled the screams that you released when you found out that Rin was a creature of the night all along. That the rosary around his neck was meant to seal his dark side, the side that you still didn’t know much of. Up until this day, he didn’t provide a concrete answer as to why he needed to seal himself or why they had very contrasting personalities. He was taciturn about the topic of his other self despite you bringing it up every now and then.
But because you loved him, trusted him, and believed him when he said that he didn’t plan to hurt you—you stayed. You knew his human side better than the blood-sucker within him, so you told yourself that you could stay for him. You just needed to learn more about him.
There were still moments where you felt cautious around him, but when you looked to see his softened expression, you were comfortable at seeing the Rin that you knew.
“Y/N,” he broke the silence that lingered between you two as you walked around the city, “I’m sorry.”
You tugged at his hand in reassurance. “It’s okay, I just...” As flashbacks of the earlier events returned to your head, you felt ashamed at having done such dirty deeds at a holy place. “He always gets what he wants.”
Because you let him.
“He does and I’m upset that I can’t do anything when I’m trapped,” Rin mumbled, keeping up with your footsteps as you strode along the street.
Your curiosity bubbled from his statement. “What happens when he’s taking over?”
This time, Rintarou didn’t shy away from giving an answer while he interlaced his hand with yours. “I can hear everything but I can’t feel nor can I see. It’s all black, like I’m in a dark void.”
“Like comatose?”
He nodded before touching the rosary that housed his inner self. If you were being honest, this whole thing about him having two separate beings in one body would sound ridiculous to some people but you wanted to understand it for his sake.
How did he become a vampire? How could a rosary seal his other self? How come he had two versions of him?
“He’s obsessed with you,” he admitted, frowning at the thought as you passed rows and rows of boutiques and restaurants. “Your blood, your scent, your body. That’s probably why he always has the urge to come out.”
The thought of it permeated heat on your cheeks even when it shouldn’t. Rin had always been gentle and loving with his intimacy with you, but Suna was rough and sadistic. He liked tormenting your innocence with his immorality.
“You said the rosary was meant to seal him, but how come he keeps on—”
“I don’t know. It doesn’t work these days. Only father can help but I don’t wanna go that far just to tell him about this.”
Father. It was the first time he had ever spoken about his father in your twelve months together. “Where’s your father, Rin? Or the rest of your family?”
You could see it in his saintly face that he was about to give an answer and you anticipated it, not until the nearby catcalling distracted you two.
“Nice legs, gorgeous,” whistled the man who was leaning by the street railings with a cigarette on his hand. The man was probably in his mid-40’s with a disheveled hair and unshaved face. You sent him a glare but a crude wink was returned.
“Don’t ogle at my girlfriend,” was Rin’s warning, though he didn’t want much conflict by simply pulling you away.
You could hear the man hooting again. “I’d spread those legs in a heartbeat.”
While smoke came out of your nose with the infuriation that boiled within you, Rin was the one who told you to just leave it be. He wanted to avoid confrontation so he chose to just continue walking with you until you could reach your destination.
You couldn’t hide how you wished that sometimes Rin had more backbone to defend you from vulgar men like those.
“Happy anniversary to my favorite couple!”
The clinking of glasses were followed by cheers on the booth where your boyfriend and your friends sat together. It was Avery’s idea to celebrate the special day two days prior as an excuse to hang out and drink. Osamu, being Rin’s closest friend in the campus, was very much willing to join.
“It’s not until Wednesday, Avery,” Rintarou corrected with a smile, sipping on his pint before putting an arm around you. “Now you two should date each other.”
You giggled at the thought. “Yeah, I totally support that.”
Instead, the two of them reacted heavily against it—faking a gag, making a face, name it all. They were adamant on showing how disgusted they were at the thought of dating each other and it was quite a hilarious sight to watch.
“Never,” Osamu replied in outward distaste.
Avery, on one hand, was rolling her eyes. “You wish I was interested. I’d rather do Atsumu than you.”
Atsumu was Osamu’s twin, the more outgoing one who was always present in the biggest college parties. He had the reputation of a playboy in the whole university which was in great contrast to his twin.
“Picking Atsumu is the most insulting thing you can say to me,” huffed Osamu, earning yours and Avery’s chuckle.
After an exchange of playful banters and teasing remarks, the conversation was redirected back to you and Rintarou as Avery curiously brought up how you first met your boyfriend. It was only a year ago and the memory was still vivid in your head.
“Oh my, God. I remember how Y/N first saw you at this art fair,” she gushed towards your boyfriend while you blushed, gripping his arm closer, “and she’s acting like she just saw her soulmate.”
Osamu decided to chime in, “Rin was looking at her too, though. They kept glancing at each other like some teenagers in love. I got impatient and told him to just man up, approach Y/N, and then ask for her number.”
You rested your head on Rintarou’s shoulder and relaxed against him. “Next thing you guys knew, we’re living together off campus.”
Frankly, everything was normal until Suna showed up.
“What do you like most about her, Rin?” Avery egged on with a grin spreading on her face.
Your boyfriend didn’t even take a second to answer, “She’s cute,” he said, caressing your hand with his thumb from under the table, “and smart, and caring. It won’t end.”
Rin was the same, if not better. You didn’t have much experience when it came to dating but you were surely on top of the luck department for being blessed with a man like him. He was the most patient person you knew, the most affectionate, the most thoughtful. Rintarou was the sun that brought light to your grey skies. You could remember how he would wait outside of your class just to walk home with you—those were the little things that lasted for a lifetime in someone’s memory.
“She’s a fucking nun.”
The sudden panic in your eyes came simultaneous to the fast beating of your heart. You swiftly whipped your head to look at Suna who was now displaying a deriding smirk across his pale face. Oh, were you doomed. The ruby eyes and the stony face was clear confirmation that he had taken over Rin. Twice in the same day.
Even Osamu and Avery were surprised by his word of choice, but were nonetheless finding it amusing as it was rare for them to see ‘Rin’ acting bold. You were grateful for their obliviousness because you didn’t know how else you could explain the situation at hand.
“She’s a what?” Osamu jeered, chugging on his pint and looking at his friend in his newfound entertainment.
“A nun,” Suna answered, sending a look of mischief your way. You were deeply panicking that you had to squeeze his hand in hopes of stopping him from showing his true nature. “What? Don’t be shy. Didn’t we fuck in that church?”
You quickly shook your head and denied it in front of your friends. “We didn’t. Don’t believe him.”
Avery was unbelievably taken aback. “Wow,” she held back a chuckle, “I didn’t know Rin has a vulgar mouth.”
The night carried on while the downpour engulfed the streets heavily. Your desperation to leave the diner earlier than intended was solely because you weren’t comfortable at having Suna around your friends. The man was clearly enjoying the embarrassment that he was putting you through while getting to know Rin’s friends along with it. You were not gatekeeping the vampire from his own friends but they weren’t aware of Rin’s situation and you were only cautious.
You didn’t want things to end up where Rintarou would be ostracized by the people who knew him just because they couldn’t understand that he was completely harmless in his benevolent self.
It took a lot of effort to finally make an excuse of getting home early while the skies have temporarily calmed down. However, as you two strolled across the street, Suna wouldn’t stop blabbering on and on about how you should have stayed more to talk about how prudish you were.
“I’m not the in the mood right now,” you spoke in a detached voice, moving away from him as you walked together. Because you ruined it, you wanted to add. The cold breeze kissed your face through the dark.
Suna only moved closer to you. “You shouldn’t be so uptight,” he countered, “Is that how livestocks should act? Or do I punish you back at home?”
Punishments. You didn’t wish to go through another round of his ‘punishments’ because you weren’t certain at how creative he could be at delivering them. There was no doubt that a man who traversed the ages since the 1800s would have seen enough torture devices used during the earlier times. Perhaps he could get inspiration from those.
“I just wanna go home,” you muttered, almost inaudibly had his heightened hearing senses not worked.
“Good, then I can have fun with y—” Suna halted from his words as his face froze at the sight in front of him. His body had completely gone stiff and his jaws were clenched. You would have thought that he was angry until that evil upturn of his lips came to show.
“Suna...”
Following his sight, he was all eyes on a man from a distance before he dashed towards the stranger, leaving you utterly stupefied from where you stood. What’s he on about? You rushed as your heels landed in lightweight steps across the sidewalk while you watched in terror how Suna mercilessly throttled the man by the neck and dragged him into a dark alleyway.
“Suna, stop!”
As you reached him with a panting breath, you realized that the man he was holding high up against the wall was the same person that catcalled you earlier. The man was wriggling away from Suna’s tight grip, only to be asphyxiated harsher than before.
“Wh-What’s your problem?” the man struggled to breathe due to the strangulation and you were pulling Suna’s other arm to stop him.
At the sight of Suna’s crimson eyes and vicious stance, you knew there was nothing much you could do to prevent harm. He was determined to do what he wanted without paying attention to his surroundings.
“You like her legs, huh?” Suna taunted with a sinister undertone in his words. “You wanna spread ‘em open?”
Recalling the very words he spoke, the man saw you with frantic eyes as his face was reddening from the lack of oxygen. With a rushed shake of the head and a face that was begging for sympathy, he tried to break free. “N-No, no. She’s—haaa! She’s all yours.”
“Suna, stop it.” You grabbed his arms and attempted your best to pull him away despite the trepidation that caused you goosebumps. “Please stop, you’re gonna kill him.”
Every time you saw this bloodsucking creature, you were learning new things about him and most of those things were of the worst kind. Not only was he possessive—he was diabolical, potentially obsessive, and a cutthroat sadist who wouldn’t even blink before ending someone’s life. This was the true nature of a vampire, not some silly fantasy that today’s pop-culture portrayed them to be.
He was a body without a soul.
Unfortunately, you should have thought twice before choosing to get involved with him.
“That’s my plan, darling.”

After doing way too many summons on this gala without getting Gala Elly I’m just gonna quit while I’m ahead and start hoarding for the New Years banner, lol. And in the mean-time I’ll probably be skipping the Christmas banner so that kinda sucks but oh well.
Either way, I still got a whole bunch of new stuff in my gala summons, and also I have a lot of thoughts about the new This Month in DL post, so I’ll just put the rest of my thoughts under the cut.
I swear to god this gala was the most summons I’ve done on a banner without getting a focus unit, lmao. This must be punishment for me getting like three copies of Gala Euden last time. I think I did like 250 summons total, which included over 10 5-stars, but no Gala Elly. I may or may not end up caving to my temptations and grinding adventurer stories and hard mode campaign levels to try and summon more, but I should just quit while I’m ahead.
Either way, my haul of 5-stars, new and dupes, is:
-Gala Ranzal
-Wedding Elly
-Xanfried
-Lea
-Jeanne
-Chthonius
-Dupes of B-Zardin, Victor, Sylas, Cassandra, Gala Sarisse, Shinobi, Vayu, and Long Long [x2]. I also got another dupe Shinobi from the 5-star dragon voucher thing they just gave us.
Let’s just say that I don’t know how to feel about wanting Gala Elly and then getting Gala Ranzal + Wedding Elly, lmao. At least they’re both new units for me. Though it feels doubly bad that I got Gala Ranzal, 45MC’d him, and then almost immediately afterward I got Wedding Elly. Welp. I’m a Noelle main in eHMC anyway so it’s not a huge deal. But it’s nice to get my wind roster fleshed out more.
I’m honestly really happy about getting Xanfried, and it more or less makes up for not getting Gala Elly. He was one of those 5-stars who I was vaguely tempted to dream summon because it was bugging me that I still didn’t have him. Now I think the only launch 5-star I don’t have is Hildegarde.
I’m also happy about getting Lea, even if she isn’t a great unit and I have like six other flame swords. I really like her whole design aesthetic.
I don’t really care much about the new 5-star dragons I got, but they’re nice to have. The Long Long dupes are nice, though, since now I have a nearly MUB one for my Lin You.
Oh and I got regular Aeleen as well, and she was the last non-limited 4-star I needed to get, so that’s cool.
We’ve known about the next banner for a while because of datamines, but either way, I feel a little bit salty that the new 5-star is literally just Thaniel But Better [tm], lol. If it weren’t for the fact that Chocolatiers is a limited print, I’d say that she wouldn’t even be worth it when Thaniel’s a more accessible option who works just fine in HBH because the whole fight is literally tuned around his kit since until now he’s been the only real healer for it. I hope this doesn’t lead to people acting like Thaniel’s not good enough for eHBH anymore once Jiang Ziya comes out. I’ve invested way too much into him to switch. I did recently craft the HDT water spear, and I can use my H-Maritimus on Elly if I want to use her in eHBH, but I still want to stick to Thaniel.
And on that note my H-Maritimus is at 2UB, and between the sunlight stone we’ll get soon from the Megaman event, and the dragons I have at nearly max bond level, he’ll probably be MUB soon, which should push my Thaniel above 7k might, which will be great. He’s currently at about 6,850 might, between him having +200 augments, Chocolatiers at +190 augments, a MUB HDT1 water staff, etc etc. And we’re gonna be getting the Christmas event facility again soon so that’ll boost him up even further.
Also I’m really not interested in the new dragon since he’s just water Hastur and I don’t care about that at all, lol. Durant seems cool but I already have a 50MC Natalie, and he’s a 4-star so he’d be easy enough to get off-banner anyway.
I’m gonna probably skip the Christmas banner since I went all in on this gala and I want to save for the New Years banner. And since it looks like the Christmas banner will be in just a week or so, I won’t exactly have many resources saved up by that point anyway. I’m not really interested in any of the existing Christmas alts, though, so it’d probably be an easy skip anyway, unless the new ones really interest me.
I hope that them doing the Christmas rerun stuff earlier in the month than I expected means we might get a Christmas-themed raid event afterward, but I won’t get my hopes up. I think we’re due for a new raid event anyway, but that’ll probably be what the New Years event is anyway, I guess.
I’m curious to see how they handle the New Years stuff, since it’d feel weird to rerun the Ieyasu event/banner, with how that was themed around the current zodiac year. I think we’ll just get a new event with new units, and probably a new welfare unit along with the event itself. With how good Ieyasu was [and how salty I still am about not having him], I think it’ll be worth saving for that.
Though considering that the next story chapter is gonna apparently be Luca-focused, I’m guessing the January gala unit will be Gala Luca, who I’d be extremely interested in, so that’s another thing to worry about saving for, lol.
And on that note we’re getting Chapter 11 in about two weeks, and even though we got more or less the same teaser description for it as last time, we at least have a better look at the two new android characters. Even though they’re gonna be antagonists I still kinda hope we can get them as playable units some day.
We also got more info on the new endgame boss mode, and even though I still want more specific details about it, my current guess is that it’s basically going to be High IO. It’ll probably be themed around there being new android military squads to fight against, with the new bosses being their leaders or whatever. It’d be fun to get some genuinely difficult wave-based content, but it’d also be great if it means we can get facility upgrade materials a lot faster.
The reveal of the new mode being called The Agito Uprising also more or less confirms that rumour that’s been going around for a while, which also talked about how the Christmas banner would include a new Christmas Phoenix alt, that the new endgame bosses would drop 6-star weapons, that we’ll get a Monster Hunter collab in February, and that Mikoto, Ezelith, Naveed, and Xanfried will be at least some of the first units to get their sixth mana circle upgrades.
I’m honestly kinda happy to hear about Christmas Phoenix since that makes it more likely that the Christmas banner will be an easy skip for me, lmao. But anyway, I really wouldn’t be surprised to see the Agito Uprising bosses dropping weapons that are roughly between 5t3s and HDT weapons in power. we really need something like that to ease the transition into the eHDT cycle. I’ve basically given up on getting into eHJP/eHZD until something along those lines happens to make them more accessible, lol.
I still have a lot of questions about how the whole sixth mana circle upgrade thing will work, and sadly this didn’t really tell us anything new, but they at least said that they’re aware of how limited the pool of units used in endgame content is, and that they’ll try and make changes to make more units viable for that, so that’ll probably be the main point of the sixth mana circles. I have a feeling that only 5-star units will end up getting them, which would kinda suck. There’s a lot of 5-stars who need an upgrade, but there’s also a lot of other units who need an upgrade too.
They did mention that they’ll be doing something with 3-star units in general, though, so I’m really curious about that. I really really want them to rebalance 3-star units so that they all have 100% on-element status resistances. I could take or leave anything else, but they really need that sort of buff. There’s no real point to holding back a unit by giving them incomplete or off-element status resistances. Which also applies to welfare 4-stars. For example, my Xania would be way more viable in eHMS if she can get to 100% stun res without needing a print, and it’d just be great in general if Vixel could get an actually relevant status resistance for his element. I have a feeling they won’t change anything else about their kits, but even just that’d be nice.
My realistic prediction for what the sixth mana circle upgrades will actually include is that it’ll more or less just be more of what we already have with the current ones. It’ll probably just be a few flat stat upgrades, maybe some more coability node upgrades, and one or two upgrades to the skills/abilities of each unit. At the very least I think that units will get a third upgrade to their S2, since those only go up to two upgrade tiers whereas every unit gets three tiers to their S1. And there’s a lot they could do to improve units by buffing and adding stuff to their S2s. For example, Thaniel would really benefit from getting a regen heal added to his S2, but Jiang Ziya existing makes me think they’re just forgetting about Thaniel for good. I can’t really think of what they could do with any of the 5-stars, though. It’s possible but less likely that some units might also get upgrades to one of their abilities, but that’s a bit more uncertain than them getting skill upgrades, if only because there’s a lot of ability types that you just can’t upgrade at all, like 100% status resistance or skill prep abilities.
It’d be really nice if they changed the second ability of 3-stars to 100% status resistance and gave them something entirely new for their third ability, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they just buff the 25% status resistance abilities of those units to 50% status resistance.
Also, we got more details about how we’re getting higher-level void battles added, and higher difficulties added to the void dragons, which I think is a necessary addition in order to help bridge the gap toward endgame content. As it is now, void battles aren’t really worth doing outside of endeavors. But it’s also nice that they’ve added augments to the void dragons and stuff.
In general they’d been making a lot of steps toward easing the progression toward endgame content, especially with the other changes they made to Avenue to Fortune, and them also adding augments to HDT drops. It’s nice that they’re aware of the issue of how steep the progression curve is right now, but it also really makes it clear that it’s a genuine problem that they’re currently being stuck trying to fix. I don’t really blame them for it, though. These things happen with games like this. I’m just glad that they’re actually addressing it instead of leaving it unchanged.
It’ll sadly take a while for them to add all of the new void bosses on the same tier as the Volcanic Chimera, but it’ll be nice to eventually have more accessible options to get into other eHDTs and stuff.
Anyway a whole bunch has been going on lately and I think it’s on a good track. Honestly my biggest issue right now is that since they changed the UI I keep clicking the wrong buttons when I’m trying to go between menus, lmao.
Oh and yeah the Megaman event is a thing that’s happening. There’s really not a lot to say about it because it’s so barebones and gameplay-focused, but it’s fun, and I like how much they’re leaning into the aesthetic of it. Megaman himself is a really goddamn weird unit, though. I like how much he’s apparently designed to play like he’s in an actual Megaman game, but it’s a weird playstyle to get used to for this game. And I still prefer Xania as a flame wand, lol.

Ius soli, dl Sicurezza e sbarchi: Pd avanti a tutta immigrazione

Eyes on the world #118
Partiamo spediti 👇
SARÀ LUI A SOSTITUIRE JAIR BOLSONARO

Australian Interior Design Awards 2021 Winners
Design Institute of Australia releases groundbreaking Designers Australia 2021 Awards
Outstanding shifts in design by Bates Smart, DesignByThem, Monash University XYX Lab, and Edward Linacre.
The Design Institute of Australia (DIA) — Australia’s peak national design body, released the inaugural recipients for its Designers Australia 2021 Awards. The final winners out of a shortlist of seventy-four across the country, reflect the designer’s ability to make a strong contribution to a better world and include three national winners, a President’s Award and thirty-one awards of Merit. The awards, a first for the industry, identify Australia’s preeminent designers and studios, calling attention to the individual/s and their distinguished design processes as much as the outcome.
Bates Smart for Gandel Wing, Cabrini:
Bates Smart for Gandel Wing, Cabrini was awarded the ‘PLACE’ category winner, while DesignByThem for DL Range by Gibson Karlo and Dion Lee received the winning ‘USE’ award. Monash University Department of Design XYX Lab for HyperSext City won ‘INTERACT’, and product designer, artist and mentor Edward Linacre received the President’s Award.
DIA’s Designers Australia 2021 Awards are the culmination of months of evaluation, development and revisions. They are different in their categories and criteria to most of the design awards currently offered in Australia. The three groundbreaking cross-disciplinary design categories would have previously been categorised by traditional design disciplines such as industrial, interior, graphic, digital, product, environmental, textile, fashion, and many more.
DIA President Gavin Campbell FDIA said: “Since 1948, the Design Institute of Australia has been committed to nurturing and empowering designers. It is pleasing to see the culmination of these awards, responses in design shifts while also creating a platform for our collective future. The winning recipients and awards of Merit have all in their way embraced ethical, diverse and sustainable processes through collaborative and professional practice. Their projects are a testament to their values and entrepreneurship, and it’s our responsibility to identify and support them as design leaders and to demonstrate the value of design to the broader community.”
Bates Smart for Gandel Wing, Cabrini:
Shining a light with a new focus on Australian designers and their award winning responses to current community challenges.
Awards jurors, and internationally renowned Dutch trend forecasters and design educators Lidewij Edelkoort & Philip Fimmano also commented: “The Cabrini Malvern Hospital extension by Mark Healy the studio director of Bates Smart truly encapsulates our times; from the importance the medical sector plays in our lives to designing social spaces with wellbeing in mind. The new Gandel Wing’s natural finishes, rounded edges and neutral palette illustrate the power of buildings that can heal us. Considered lighting and attention to detail therefore become critical to care. The comforting interiors have been so thoughtfully reimagined that we thought it was a sustainable hotel concept — now that’s somewhere one should check-in! It’s time that hospital and hospitality go hand in hand.”
Tuba Kocaturk, awards juror, and professor of integral design said: “The DL Range by DesignByThem presents a timeless process of experimentation with form and materials which brings together functional and purposeful production techniques from fashion and industrial design, translated into an innovative marriage of comfort and inspirational design.
“The Monash University’s design, the HyperSext City, presents a series of interaction platforms where the design transcends being merely a product, but rather becomes a research and a communication platform, which informs, raise awareness and continually involves its users/audience in the evolution of the displayed content. Both projects are a testament to the changing role and position of design, moving from the traditional concept of a tangible product through to orchestration of new interactions and experiences.“
PLACE winner — Bates Smart for Gandel Wing, Cabrini identified for their exemplary approach to design by focusing on wellness and human-centred healthcare. Gandel Wing was praised as a place in partnership with nature and technology, encouraging healing rather than simply treating disease. The architects were honoured for responding to the hospital’s evolving needs by comforting the lives of many.
USE winner — DesignByThem for DL Range by Gibson Karlo collaborates between founders and industrial designers Sarah Gibson and Nicholas Karlovasitis and Australian fashion designer Dion Lee. The key objective of this project was to promote cross-disciplinary design by creating a unique body of work merging fashion and industrial design principles.
INTERACT winner — Monash University Department of Design for HyperSext City use design as an intersecting mediator, educational and collaborative tool giving voice to community members. The University’s XYX Lab was commended for its investigative exhibition encouraging and empowering people to comprehend and imagine complex issues together.
President’s Award — Multidisciplinary designer, artist, student mentor and former DIA Graduate of the Year recipient Edward Linacre applauded for his contribution to the profession, and commitment to diversity and equality across cultures, gender and race. He is a partner at Copper Design, which resides within Mycelium Studios, a co-working hub and place where designers coexist and learn from each other.
Industry leading jurors include Alessandra Baldereschil, Susanna Bilardo, Lisa Cahill, Gavin Campbell, Lidewij Edelkoort, Philip Fimmano, Marcus Fairs, John Gertsakis, Dr Rafael Gomez, Peta Heffernan, Fenella Kernebone, Tuba Kocaturk, Dr Scott Mayson, Nicole Monks, Lorenzo Palmeri, and Quan Payne.

Hola Gonzalo saludos cordiales.

Llegamos a nuestra primera parada

J:
