So let's talk about Harry Potter series. There's a shit-ton of problematics around it, as I'm certain that everyone here knows about. So is not benefical to anyone when you guys - and I just know that this undoubtedly will happen - engage with it in any form. Be it writing and/or reading fanfic, doing fanart, hatewatching. Even pirating it is bad.

Please let it die. It isn't all that worth it, to be honest.

And I'm certain that they'll fuck things up even more. Because, honestly, a black Snape? A black man being bullied by four white men? A black man joining a cult? That was an extremely bad choice and the nuances around it sends a rather confuse message to the public.

There's no such a thing as separating the art from the artist when the "supposed" artist is alive and proffiting from it, even more since she likes to use this bloody money on funding projects agaisnt Trans people. They matter more than a simply, bad written child's book. And pretending and living in ignorance won't help trans people; rather, she'll continue to proclaim as she did before that anyone who still engage with her art is someone who support her and her ideas.

Furthermore, there's other interesting books that one could focus on. Such as: The Dark Magician trilogy by Trudy Canavan.

The Black Magician Trilogy follows Sonea, a girl from the slums of Imardin, who discovers she has powerful magical abilities during the annual Purge, when magicians "cleanse" the city of the poor. Forced to flee the Magicians' Guild, she must learn to control her powers and navigate a world of prejudice and danger, while uncovering dark secrets and a forbidden magic within the Guild. The series culminates in a battle against a deadly enemy threatening the land of Kyralia and its Allied Lands. 

A quest of Heroes by Morgan Rice.

The story follows Thor, a younge shepherd boy who dreams of joining the King's Legion and becoming a warrior. Despite his father's disapproval, Thor leaves his village to pursue his dream, embarking on a journey filled with challenges and self-discovery. He discovers he has magical powers and a special destiny, while also navigating the complexities of King's Court, where power struggles and betrayals are rampant. 

Steel Maiden by Kim Richardson,

This is a young adult fantasy novel and the first in the "Divided Realms" series. The story follows Elena, a young woman living in a world where magic is banned and religious High Priests rule with an iron fist. When she is caught stealing, she's given a choice: to die or become a champion in a deadly competition.

The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis

The Magician's Nephew is a prequel to the Chronicles of Narnia. It tells the story of how Narnia came to be, focusing on the adventures of Digory and Polly who accidentally discover a way to travel between worlds. Their journey leads them to witness the birth of Narnia by the great lion Aslan and their encounter with the evil queen Jadis, who later becomes the White Witch in the main series. Both The Magician's Nephew and Chronicles of Narnia is a good recommendation.
