@coldjustness - Has no one sent in Neve Gallus yet I swear- recommend romantic candidates for emmrich
no one sees the vision, and that's a damn shame.
i feel like…neve and emmrich have that camaraderie and friendship that if it turned in that direction it would be comfortable? if that makes sense? like, oh, it could have its romance and wooing and all that fun stuff, absolutely, but their friendship is…i wouldn't call it casual, neve picks emmrich apart in about two seconds flat and has him pinned dead to rights about things he wasn't even aware he did, but they're very quiet and understated, i think. while at the same time i think neve challenges some of emmrich's preconceived notions.
like…not just about tevinter mages, no, i mean about things he's accepted as hard and fast rules (specifically about magic, but other things, too). like i think about their conversation about shortcuts in spells all the time and how emmrich's really in full…himself mode talking about the danger of it and her pointing out how sometimes not letting the blood mage kill you is more important. there's perspective there he clearly wouldn't have considered.
also are we gonna talk about how she called him to heel with the fake charms merchant. because i also think about that a lot, too, like we get a taste of emmrich's unhinged side and i do wonder how far it would have gone if she hadn't, but she did it in such a way as to not make him feel bad about it, too, and i just.
fist clench. neve and emmrich.
like i know she has her thing about people getting hurt and killed getting involved with her, but emmrich is relentless in his kindness and his looking for a connection, which is why i think they did make friends initially to begin with despite their misgivings with each other, but also why i think, were things to take a turn for the romantic, it would work. they have enough in common with each other they clearly have loads to talk about, and she's like him, the wisps are drawn to her and her curiosity, which is another point in their favor. but they're different enough they give each other perspective, i think, especially for emmrich via neve, and she doesn't coddle him, lets him learn his lessons the hard way, gives him the tough love he needs to hear, and then gently, deftly tells him when enough is enough and he listens.
also they'd be a murder solving power couple i do not accept criticism for this at this time.
anyway, i think they'd be incredibly fascinating to explore on that level. neve maybe doesn't need someone to look after her, but someone that cares enough to try i think would be nice. and emmrich needs someone to remind him it's okay to break the rules sometimes. also they'd be so well-dressed it'd be stupid.

Getting so pissed by that twin who rates twins on TikTok because she has such a clear bias towards characters she knows vs ones she doesn’t. YES I’m still mad at her giving Jade and Floyd a low score originally because what do you mean that the tweels still count as the evil twin trope when most of the cast are also villains but I see a video of you rating the twins from the Simpsons and I see you saying that you “don’t mind” that they’re antagonistic because “You know, everyone in the Simpsons is terrible”

Okay I did get distracted by a grade being posted and I am about to be both a nerd and a millennial but god ngl I do hate classes where you get full points on all your assignments but don't actually get any actual feedback on them. What is the point. If it's a class where everyone gets passing grades for making the effort but you get actual feedback and comments, that's great! But I would genuinely rather get points docked and get extensive comments on what I did well and what needed improvement and why than this.
#what is the POINT#like at that point it feels like busy work frankly! it doesn't feel like anyone's worrying about whether or not I learned something!#and like I can self reflect on my own learning. I'm good at that. that's fine. but a) not everyone can#and b) it REALLY does not help the perception that a degree is something you pay for but don't actually need to learn anything to get#which is a MASSIVE problem rn. there's no actual value placed on LEARNING THINGS.#like I know for a FACT that I have turned in B+ average assignments at best in this class.#just cuz I only have finite time and I gotta stay sane and it's not an area I'm going to go any further than surface level in.#the overview is good and important! but the work I'm doing is reflective of my investment and frankly it should've earned a B+ at most.#like at least if you're docking a point and telling me what for I know you READ the damn thing. christ alive.#you may ask yourself 'oh my god why are you like this' and the answer is. have you looked at my blog.#anyway. okay nOW I'm going to bed.

I'VE FINALLY FINISHED BROTHERSHIP IT WAS SOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!
#clai speaks#spoilers in the tags probably#ahhh first of all i am still astounded the game exists at all. we all thought m&l was done forever but here it is!!!#the timing of me playing superstar saga and getting really into mario last year couldnt have been better#i mean i probably would have played brothership still even if mario hadnt become a main interest of mine like that. but anyway#absolutely stellar re-entry into the series it did not disappoint in the SLIGHTEST#i think i 100%'d it? only thing i didnt do was finish that last dyode dance sequence but like its fiiiine#took about 50 hours i didnt get a chance to check my final time. really surprised that the game went that long!#i dont think it was a bad thing at all though. the game mostly didnt feel like it was overstaying its welcome#i did think lottacoins and the lower level solitree went a tad too long and i didnt like them but only a little. they're still fine sections#surprised that i didnt even feel like the sidequests were a drag they were all alright!#character interactions were so good ofc. love the new cast!! starlow felt a bit flat which is a shame but she also didnt appear much so#the sidequest where she visits bowser and he calls her chippy!!!! made me so happy!!!!!#all the callbacks were so good i'm glad they can still do that. yelled out loud after finding the peasley reef#docking points for no dreambert reef however. jail worthy offence#on reclusa specifically i dont have a lot to say about his character he's just your typical evil for the sake of evil villain#but i have to say i Love his design. the really exaggerated facial expressions and that clown neck frill. really fun character actually!!#ahhh call me childish but i'm never a fan of endings where friends separate but i like to think the second uni-tree--#--will allow them to link back up once its grown and can generate more connectar to do it#cant say if its my favorite yet bc recency bias is still too fresh but its absolutely my second favorite m&l game at least!!#i havent played paper jam yet i wanted to play the original paper mario and spm first. but i always hear its bad so??#brothership is at least on par with dream team for me rn. absolutely stellar game#i hope this means we'll get more m&l someday! i've already left a very positive response on the survey they put out#anyway. now to decide what to play next because i have a MASSIVE backlog of games and i didnt think this would take this long BJDHJFHF#10/10!!!! please play brothership immediately

on veilguard's hub levels: absolutely love all of their little shortcuts and the way the different parts of each level are so well-connected. never felt compelled to fast travel often since, even if i'm on the other side of the level, i know a way to get where i want to be, quick and efficient.
#also they're all extremely beautiful but i feel like that's a given.#anyway. i think more people should appreciate the hub levels.#they could've easily been so bloated and difficult to navigate but insread they're condensed and quite neat.#...okay i do get lost in dock town sometimes but i think that's a me problem.

in light of the terrible day i am having, instead of getting to the point of no return i am going to start a new playthrough with shoshanna but im gonna make her a veil jumper this time as a fun alternate timeline just for me.
