Outsourcing my job to Tumblr: Do I need to write an incident report for, "Man walking down sidewalk outside of building, stopped every ~10 feet to rub his (thankfully not bare) ass against the wall. Was dressed as a cowboy."

#we are close to downtown and several bars #and i followed him for the whole trip with the camera so it is documented #part of me just thinks it would be funny to make everyone sign off on it in the passdown log

#daniel ricciardo #dr3 #i'm sure someone on tiktok has already done this but i'm staying far the hell away from those #and this is where i put all my daniel ricciardo brain rot and sadness so it's just going to have to live here #obviously i've been thinking a lot about daniel and this song like all the dirlies #but i was in my car listening today and i thought about how he should've gotten to take more photos of his last race #that he didn't pull out his camera until the last minute just in case this was it just so he'd have *something*#and so he didn't get to take photos of all the moments he may have wanted to or of people he may have wanted to #didn't get to take photos with his family #doesn't get to have those memories. didn't get to document each and every moment.#but then thought about the photos that he did take (or blake took) and that he chose to share #that these small moments were important to him and he wanted to remember them #and celebrate the people and the time and the importance of them regardless of how average they seem #he didn't get to capture more memories of that last race in photos #but he got these moments and he knew appreciated them for what they were and what they meant in a 13 year career #it's almost fitting in a weird way that he didn't get a bunch of flashy happy professional photos of his last race #but instead got the kind of photos where you can viscerally feel the love these people had for him and that he had for them in return #these photos remain incredibly hurtful and beautiful in their simplicity

not to be a boomer but does it make you sad that we won't get concert crowds like this anymore

#I have complex feelings on the ''no phones at concerts'' thing. genuinely.#I used my phone a LOT at concerts as a teen/very-young adult #and I do genuinely cherish the videos I got of some of those performances. so like I get it. I really do get it.#but as I've grown older I find that I may snap A picture or A video and that's it.#quick little memory moment for me and then phone goes down and away for the rest of the show #I think it's because Genuinely I no longer value the videos of performances as much. there was something much more important to the younger #—me about documenting the experience and having it preserved that is no longer important to me.#and I don't begrudge her that. like I said... I cherish those videos because they're an artifact of a past time and a younger me #but my perspective has changed as I've gotten older and as I've seen more concerts #idk the crowds at rock shows are still pretty decent. I'm very grateful for that. like I will always relish watching a mosh pit go at it lo #but then I see like footage from a.... idk a billie eilish concert or something and it's just like an ocean of phone screens #like no!! no!!!#also unrelated but one of my pet peeves (this is such a stupid thing to get mad at LMAO) is people who stand stock still at a concert #at the pride concert the other weekend there were so many people in the crowd who were like 🧍#just a bunch of people 🧍🧍🧍🧍 not moving. not bopping. not swaying. not bouncing. just standing 🧍🧍🧍🧍🧍🧍#like OMG YOU LOOK DEAD. AT LEAST SWAY A LITTLE. PLEASE #but I think there's a correlation there of people not Engaging With The Music And Performer (standing stock still) and also #People Trying To Film and thus needing to stay still to get stable footage #and idk I imagine that this is a fictional idealized thing I've built up in my head but then I see crowds like the one in the video #and they're all swaying and absolutely no one is trying to document this thing for some future moment #there is only the here and now and there's something really beautiful in that. which I think we've lost in the age of the cellphone camera #idk I feel very old man yells at cloud about this but I think there's a kernel of something there

in a hypothetical office-style UA faculty sitcom I honestly can't tell if it's funnier if Aizawa stares into the camera more than anyone or if he has no reaction to anything ever
