one of the only ways i could be more obsessed with the dynamic between Ace and Sabo is if one of them had canonically been a girl (imo, Sabo)

just think about it

Ace's color being orange, Sabo's color being blue

Ace's hair being dark brown / black, Sabo's being blonde

Ace's eyes being brown / amber, Sabo's being bright blue

Ace's skin being darker or golden with freckles, Sabo's being fair and pale

Ace being a hot head who solves his problems with PUNCH, Sabo being the calm and collected diplomat who solves his problems with charm

they're practically a perfect FOIL of each other in every way. please just imagine one of them as a girl (Sabo)

also, i get what Oda was doing with Sabo "inheriting" Ace's devil fruit, but he missed the opportunity to give Sabo the theoretical mizu mizu no mi (water water fruit)

I know Taigen and Mizu have endured a ridiculous degree of pain and injury and pretty much fully recovered, including but not limited to: .Indefinite torture .Falling from the 9th floor of Fowler's Fortress either onto ice which then broke OR directly into icy water (still would be like hitting concrete) .Bleeding from an abdominal stab wound for an extended period of time on multiple occasions (how slowly does Mizu bleed???) .Having their bones broken (including ribs and spine, given where Mizu was crushed by both The Giant AND Fowler. How have they not pierced her lungs?) Things that would reasonably kill someone, yet they still lived. So I should extend that suspension of disbelief to this dude getting skewered clean through the sternum, right?

RIGHT???

Then who dis?

These two definitely aren't the same. I know it's plot armour that keeps the main cast of most stories alive despite suffering much worse injuries, but this dude definitely died and got replaced.
