I am posting a day late - I missed Plastic Free Beauty Day which was yesterday. Whilst packaging is the main focus of the day (and so it should be) plastics in ingredients is something you also would like to see less of. 👆🏽 check out the results to a recent poll I ran for World Ocean Day 👉🏽. We're all making conscious choices as best we can, and any small step adds up to a cumulative impact. I'm putting my hand up 🖐🏽 and acknowledging that whilst the ingredients/product is plastic free, I still have a way to go to make my packaging 100% plastic free, finding a safe and suitable cap or pipette for my bottles hasn't been easy. Today is #WorldWildlifeDay, when we celebrate the incredible biodiversity our planet has to offer. With the theme, this year, being 'Sustaining all life on Earth', we would like to draw your attention to the plight of wild animals here on UK shores. The species we know and love have been hit hard by the ever-growing expansion of mankind. The humble hedgehog has seen a 96% population decline since the mid-1950's, dormice populations have halved since 2000 and even red fox numbers have seen a 40% decline since 2018. Our wildlife needs our help. We would like to ask you all, today, to do just one action to help maintain the amazing biodiversity we take for granted, whether that's picking up a piece of litter, cutting a hole in your fence to let hedgehogs through or even giving just £1 to a wildlife charity to help them keep going.
