winter 2024 impressions: majo to yajuu

ohohoho oh my god. like god damn. wow. ok. this was. huh

for the first i'd say half or maybe three-quarters? of the episode this felt like a really solid start of a very typical series, nothing special but certainly watchable and of a high quality. picked it up for morikawa and don't regret it

but the WAY IT RAMPED UP. good lord. by the end of the episode i was absolutely hooked. like it climbed straight from middle of the pack to one of the most hype starts of the whole season for me tf

a few minutes from the end i found myself actually standing up for the last few minutes of the ep

spoiler-free tl;dr it looks great, music's banging, action scenes pack a punch, yeah. looking forward to more. wow

To be fair, some people just have length preferences. The most books/comics/manga/etcetera in a series i can handle is usually ≈10 give or take a few. Movies ≈5 hours if I'm in the mood for it. Television shows/anime/etcetera for ≈6 seasons if it's really good and really well written and truely did need that many seasons to tell it's story

Not only do i just not have the money or time to indulge in longer stories 99% of the time, I often find that many things past these about points tend to be full of filler and loop-a-doops and are just extending the story for the sake of extending it and would have better had it not been extended

Sometimes, for a few fans, more canon content is worse and a very good reason that one may not want to engage with that content

Romancing SaGa 2 ...so good...

Arghhhhh, I wish I had more coherent sentence to put here but the remake is SO DANG GOOD I'm foaming and I will stare at the clock all day now till I get home and resume playing. T^T;;; I may have spent the weekend playing instead of finalizing the last fanfyria batch ;u; please excuse me, I was extremely hungry for this game!
