The satin finish was perfect because it didn't show fingerprints, paw prints, or smudges. Challenge:
The couple required door handles that did not rust or tarnish as they resisted the moisture of the bathrooms. They also wanted door handles that matched the clean, modern style they wanted in the rest of the flat.
Solution:
For bathroom doors, they selected satin steel door handles. This finish was ideal for humid areas, as it was rust-resistant and resistant to corrosion. The clear-cut, simplistic appearance of satin steel complemented their aim of having a modern, fresh feel in their bathroom remodeling.

One door configured, just not where it belongs. The cochin chickens can be trusted outside. The turkeys cannot. Until I finish the turkey door, it's gonna be a game of musical doors! I'm so excited for this.

Compulsive need to check locks not helped by the fact that the one time I didn't my cat got out onto the fucking balcony while I was gone
#i came home from an appointment and heard her crying and had to look around for her for a minute#before i found her scratching at the glass on the outside of the BALCONY DOOR#we havent used the balcony since yesterday and she slept with us last night + we fed her this morning#+ i checked on all the cats to make sure they were okay before i left (another compulsion)#so it had to have happened while i was gone#i called the office to make sure no one entered our apartment while i was gone#and although theyve still got one maintenance guy to double check with the answer seems to be a definite no#the only thing we can think of is that the door was unlocked + didnt latch all the way and it blew open and then shut again with the wind#which like weve put in a maintenance request about the door not latching all the way before#but they told us it was just bc of the weather stripping and we just needed to pull harder#its still difficult to pull hard enough to shut it all the way tho. especially since the handle is kinda wobbly#but locking it works even if its not latched all the way so ive been trying to make sure its always locked#last night was like the ONLY time i didnt check that lock before i went to bed#and of course that was the one time it was fucking unlocked 😭 and my cat GOT OUTSIDE while i was gone#im just so glad shes safe and didnt try to jump or something. i dont know how long she was out there. i was gone for like 2.5 hours#she was scared and thirsty but she was still THERE thank god#i still havent stopped shaking#rambling

the Toyota Yaris is my babygirl... (I have a 2002 one which I named Tilly)
can I learn some more about my car maybe?
Call yourself Dr. Pepper because you can!
I have made a helpful diagram to illustrate.

Very happy someone asked about the car me dad was gonna buy, so I get to show its funky optical-illusion digidash that, through some magic I must say still eludes me, is made to look a lot further than it is so your eyes don't have to refocus to glance at it.
And I know what you're thinking - "Wow, digidashes are so cool, if only there was a website that collected them all" and my dear where do you think I got this image from? ;) But there's another cool thing about this image, speaking of it - what's with the coordinates in the lower display? Well it turns out that's why that button at the bottom right says "NAVI" above it - for the low low price of an absolute fucking fortune that it seems no one was willing to pay you could get your Yaris fitted with a little underseat satellite navigation unit that fed off map CDs (because people who say things were better back in the day just don't remember the details that well) and gave you directions in return!
"But wait", I hope and pray you're thinking so I get to do the reveal, "where's the screen then?" Well it's right there! What more screen do you need to be given a turn and a distance?
And that's not even all the cool tech that the Yaris ever got! In 2004, they made a special version called "Yaris Blue", available in blue, blue and blue, which offered steering wheel controls and what color was that tooth again ah right Bluetooth!
Hm. I wonder what website this image came from. Guess we'll never know. Anyway, imagine life in 2004 with a decked out Yaris: electric windows, a sunroof, Bluetooth and satnav, a wicked digidash... what else did you need? Hell, what else do you need today? Maybe a bit of space, but that was taken care of by the Yaris Verso that was introduced alongside it a couple years later! It married Toyota reliability and quality with a surprisingly spacious mini-MPV body style, with the only problem of being phantasmagorically ugly.
yeah. I don't think even in Japan you couldn't find one that looks decent.
Hm. I'm gonna need to sample the public on this one, but the fact that they call it Fun Cargo there may risk swaying me over.
They also did other fun things with the Mk1 Yaris in Japan, like calling it Vitz, giving it a turbo version because of COURSE, and making it one of Gran Turismo's most famous surprise win cars. You know how Gran Turismo has made many people, including some of y'all, fall in love with some cars? Yeah. I suspect it's done the opposite here. It is worth noting, here, that Gran Turismo random car prizes were not influenced by what cars you already had. Do you see where I am going with this.
youtube
Links in blue are posts of mine explaining the words in question - if you liked this post, you might like those!
#one thing I have noticed about these though is many of them seem to have door handle issues#they just stay pulled up instead of being flush with the body as they should#hopefully yours is okay on that front#toyota yaris

my entire family goes to bed at 9:30 because i live with fucking old people (im joking. somewhat.) and from then on i have to move around the house quietly. this wouldn't be a problem except that my door is incredibly and uniquely fucked up and nigh impossible to open even remotely quietly
#and it can't be left open because the cat will beeline into my room and make my life hell#every door in my house is absolutely fucking horrible in its own way but my room is really bad#the doorknob is like. dislocated. or just made for a much thicker door because the middle part of it is like 3 cm too long#and i either have to align it carefully or pull on it (makes a very loud sound) and then using a very specific amount of pressure turning#while continuing to pull on it so it won't pop#oh and i can technically open it turning both directions but going right makes it pop so fucking loud it's actually ridiculous#the very unpleasant sound of painted metal on painted metal#kiwifae says shit#my partner of two years is just getting the hang of my bedroom door#my friend came over and literally got stuck in the bathroom cuz she couldn't make the door open again#she literally tried for a few seconds and then just yelled for me 😭#that door also pops open randomly sometimes. i do not know why. it didn't use to.#back when the front door was still semi functional i had to fish the literal latch out of the cavity in the lock with a screwdriver cuz my#mom kept slamming the door and misaligning it even though we told her that's what fucks it up#we can only deadbolt that door now. it literally won't close otherwise. (that's how we lost the cat for five days!)#(back when it still semi worked i was the only one who knew how to close it at just the right strength so it would stick but not fall out)#((why isn't there an eye twitch emoji))#but our other outside door exclusively has a deadbolt. that's the only mechanism.#i'm the fucking door wizard in my house and i cannot WAIT to move somewhere where i have functional semi modern door handles#gawd bless i want to kill my fucking landlady

listen. okay. i know my car is held together with sheer force of will and gusto. but it is perfectly functional!!! yes, i have part of the panel on the trunk permanently removed so i can reach inside and manually pull the mechanism to latch it. and yeah, the drivers door handle only works because of some creative industrial strength zip ties. out of 4 doors i think two have the correct corresponding interior handles. half of them work. 2 out of 4 windows do not roll down, and 1 is on its last legs but still functioning due to a barbeque brush and silicone lube (and i have to push it down with my hands). and okay MAYBE it becomes undrivable when we go long stretches without rain because the front wiper fluid just sadly trickles down the hood and i have to use the whims of the weather to clean my windshield of grime. at least both wipers stay attached while driving and definitely 100% for sure always have (it was fine no one got hurt).
listen. she is doing her best. when i bought her the transmission fluid was brown. you know what colour its supposed to be? pale pink. sometimes oil just. leaves. doesn't leak! doesnt seem to be getting through a seal into the enginel! just. it goes. the amp and two 12 inch subwoofers in the back scream in audible pain when i rev the engine. the parking brake light comes on at random when it gets cold outside. im not sure what its trying to tell me and i dont care to find out. the clock only works when u hit it. im also like 80% sure that putting the gearshift in park doesn't actually work and the emergency brake is the only thing keeping it from rolling downhill, but also one time i drove with the parking brake on and didn't even notice the difference, so ?
anyways. uh. i forgot my point. she is driveable and functional and i love her.
#i was just gonna make a funny quip about disassembling my car today to replace the zip ties that let me open my door#for the second time rather than finding a permanent solution#but as i went over the list of things i need to fix when i go cherry pick replacements from a parts car#i realized it was getting to the point where i would have to write a personalized instruction manual#before loaning anyone my car#anyways for the last 3 months ive been opening my door by rolling down the last-legs window halfway#pushing it down the rest of the way with my hands#and reaching out through it to pull the handle on the outside of the door to get out#then rolling it back up before turning the car off#oh also this car eats tires for breakfast#dont ask me how#anyways i unironically love my car. none of these things make her undriveable if u care enough to create a workaround#she functions perfectly fine. i have never once had engine trouble and she is rust free. i love her.

How to Choose the Right Entrance Door Pull Handle for a Modern Home Look

When it comes to home design, the front door is more than just an entry point. It’s a statement. The right entrance door pull handle can elevate the aesthetic of your home’s facade, create a cohesive look with your architectural style, and offer a premium tactile experience every time you walk in. But with so many styles, finishes, and materials available, how do you choose the perfect handle for a modern home?
As a design detail that combines functionality and form, the entrance door pull handle deserves careful consideration. In this guide, we’ll break down everything you need to know, from materials to mounting types, to help you make the right decision for your space.
1. Think About Your Home’s Design Language
Before you even look at catalogues or visit hardware stores, take a step back and assess your home’s architectural style. Is it a clean, minimalist build? Does it feature bold industrial lines? Or is it more of a warm, modernist home with timber cladding and concrete finishes?
For homes with sharp, geometric lines, opt for a sleek stainless steel or matte black entrance door pull handle. For a softer modern aesthetic, a satin brass or brushed nickel finish can add a touch of understated elegance.
The key is to ensure the entrance door pull handle doesn’t clash with the door or surrounding facade. Instead, it should act like a visual handshake, subtle but strong.
2. Pick the Right Material for Australian Conditions
Australia’s climate can be harsh, especially in coastal or bushfire-prone areas, so material selection is crucial.
Marine-grade stainless steel is ideal for coastal homes as it resists corrosion caused by salt air.
Solid brass offers a luxurious feel and is naturally antimicrobial, though it may patina over time.
Aluminium with powder coating is a lightweight option for homeowners who want colour flexibility and weather protection.
Your entrance door pull handle needs to withstand UV exposure, rain, and possibly even high humidity, so don’t compromise on quality.
3. Consider Handle Length and Placement
Modern design trends favour elongated pull handles, think 600mm to 1800mm in length. These make a bold visual impact and offer ease of use for all ages.
If your entrance features a tall pivot door or oversized timber panel, a long vertical entrance door pull handle can create a sense of proportion and drama. On the other hand, shorter or centre-mounted handles suit more compact entryways and maintain balance without overpowering the door.
Always measure your door and consider how the handle will align with other elements like letterboxes, lighting, or smart locks.
4. Choose Between Back-to-Back or Single-Sided Mounting
There are two main installation styles:
Back-to-back: Two handles are installed on either side of the door, usually for double doors or full-glass designs. Ideal for a sleek, symmetrical look.
Single-sided: One pull handle on the exterior with a thumb latch or knob inside, perfect for timber or solid core doors.
Make sure your entrance door pull handle is compatible with the door’s thickness and that the fixing system matches the overall hardware design.
5. Match It with the Rest of Your Hardware
Consistency is key in modern design. Your entrance door pull handle should complement your door hinges, letterplate, smart lock, and even your exterior lighting fixtures.
It doesn’t have to be an exact colour match, but try to stay within the same finish family, brushed with brushed, matte with matte. This creates a seamless look that adds to your home’s overall sophistication.
6. Think About Daily Function and Security
While aesthetics matter, so does practicality. Choose an entrance door pull handle that feels comfortable in hand, especially if it’ll be used multiple times a day. Opt for rounded edges or ergonomically curved profiles for a smoother grip.
Also consider how the handle integrates with your security system. Many homeowners pair their pull handle with a keyless entry or smart lock. Some entrance door pull handles even come with concealed fixings to prevent tampering.
Final Thoughts
Your entrance door pull handle might seem like a small detail, but it plays a big role in setting the tone for your home. A thoughtfully chosen handle enhances your curb appeal, reflects your design sensibility, and stands up to daily wear.
Whether you're building a new home or upgrading your existing entryway, invest in a high-quality entrance door pull handle that blends style, function, and durability. With so many modern options available today, there’s no reason to settle for anything less.
Let your door do the talking, with a pull handle that truly pulls the look together.

୨୧ ― The garage door slams shut with a muffled thud, sealing you both in the dark garage. The car is still warm from the drive home, engine ticking as the leather seats creak under Nanami’s weight. His tie hangs loose around his neck, silk fabric slithering between his fingers as he cages you against the backseat- his knee forcing your legs apart.
"Seven days…," he grits out, the numbers sharp as his cursed blade… It was rare to hear him talk like that…
"Kento… please don't be mad… w-we ah~," impatient, his large hands shove your dress up your thighs, bunching the fabric around your waist, "We've been so busy with the girls lately." your hands tremble as you run them over the lapels of his jacket.
He catches your wrist and pulls your hand to his mouth. A shiver races up your spine as he kisses your palm, tongue hot and wet as it traces along your skin. His teeth are just as sharp, grazing against your skin in a warning, "I don't want excuses," Nanami growls, the low sound going straight to your cunt, "I want you."
His breath carries hints of bourbon and mint from dinner- restraint absolutely snapped, the kind that’s been simmering all week between packed lunched, overtime with Gojo, and your second grader’s nightmares about how daddy doesn’t come back home from work one day…
Nanami refuses to waste any more time. Like he said, it’s been seven fucking days. He’s missed having you all to himself. The feeling of your velvety walls wrapped around him- strangling his cock just how he likes it.
Without hesitation. His thumb hooks into your lace panties, tearing them sideways with a rip that makes you gasp and arch, "F-fuck, Kento-!~"
"Quiet," he growls against your neck, calloused palm smacking your clit once, twice, the crack echoing off the tinted windows, "You've been begging for this all night." The sound of his pants zipper fills the small space, his cock springing free- heavy and angry red with a bead of precum drooling at the tip. "Squirming in your seat. Smirking at me as your heel grazes my thigh."
He doesn't prep you- doesn't need to. Your pussy has been dripping since the appetizers, and he knows, the bastard, smirking as he swipes his tip against your entrance, "Look at you," he taunts, dragging his cock through your slick, coating himself, "So wet for me already. You missed my cock so much, hm?"
Fuck, yesyesyes you missed his cock, missed the stretch and burn and ache when he first plunges into you. A breathless, "Yes~♡ " falls from your lips, followed by a desperate moan as his fat cock rams into your soaked cunt without warning- filling you, stretching you out.
You do your best to choke back a scream. You know better, know to keep your voice down in case your girls and Yuji have fallen asleep- the last thing you need is to wake them. But Nanami is merciless, fucking you open, the squelch of your juices loud enough to drown out any other noise in the confined space, his hips snap up- slamming into you as he fucks you against the leather seats.
"I—fu—I've s'missed you, Kento~"
Nanami's eyes soften then, a small smile forming as his hand cradles your face. The pad of his thumb traces the outline of your lip before pushing in, his gaze darkening at the way your lips part for him so willingly.
His grip on your jaw turns bruising, the way his lips smash against yours- it's painful, but the sting is delicious, "You kept teasing me about wanting another kid," he grunts, sweat dripping off his jaw onto your heaving chest.
His wedding band catches the moonlight streaming through the garage window as he grips your throat, not hard enough to hurt- yet.
"Maybe I will put a third in you tonight. Watch you swell up again…" His voice drops, gravelly and low, "You'd look so beautiful like that, again."
You claw at the part of his chest that's exposed, the fabric wrinkled beyond salvation, and moan, "Y'already... nnf... can't handle two—hah!~"
He slams deeper- hand fisting in your hair cutting you off- "Try me."
His Mercedes rattles as he flips you onto your knees, face mashed against the fogged window. His palm cracks against your ass, reddening the skin before he yanks your hips back, spearing you in one vicious stroke. Your tits crush against the seat, nipples rubbed raw by the upholstery as he drills into your g-spot.
Somewhere upstairs, he hears a floorboard squeak… The sound traveling easily through the thin wall that connects the garage to the house. Nanami freezes, cock twitching inside you.
Then, unmistakable in the sudden silence, comes the patter of small feet and excited voices from within the house.
"Daddy and Mommy are home!"
"Shh! Remember what big bro Yuji said? We should be sleeping!"
Nanami’s eyes narrow, "S-shit." He rams home once more, burying his groan in the crook of your neck as he spills, hot and thick, painting your walls white as it floods your womb. His cum leaks down your trembling thighs as he collapses against you, his forehead dropping to your shoulder blade with a defeated thud while muttering, "...they're awake-"
So much for having you to himself the rest of the night…
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nine months later, Nanami Kento is changing diapers at 3 am, dark circles under his eyes but with a tender smile that lights up the pink nursery.
"Worth it."

Door handles are recessed handles that sit within the surface of a door rather than protruding outward like traditional handles. They provide a smooth and streamlined appearance, making them particularly suitable for sliding and pocket doors. Available in various materials such as stainless steel, brass, and aluminium, these handles enhance both functionality and aesthetics.
FAQ:

Smooth Operation & Easy Grip
Designed for effortless functionality, flush pull handles enable a smooth sliding motion. Some models also feature an ergonomic finger pull, ensuring a better grip and ease of use.
Safety & Accessibility
Unlike protruding handles, door handles reduce the risk of accidents, making them ideal for homes with children or elderly individuals. Their accessibility also makes them an excellent choice for universal design applications.
Durability & Versatility
Made from high-quality materials, door handles are durable and resistant to wear and tear. Whether you need them for residential or commercial spaces, they offer long-lasting performance.
