COORIER (Flying/Psychic) - The Messenger Pokemon

Decided to finish this one for Valentine's Day, but got it ready too early so I decided to post it anyways, maybe I will make something new for Valentine.

COORIER is based on the Luzon Bleeding-Heart (Gallicolumba luzonica) mixed with a Mailman/Delivery Courier

It has the ability Overcoat as a reference to the phrase “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds” often associated with the postal office

Ok this is literally the pettiest thing imaginable but why, when the game goes out of its way to say “in vaugarde, the birds say piou-piou”, does the fanbase not have the characters use other French onomatopoeia for animals????

I keep seeing art of the fam going “meow” and “bark” but no!!!! That’s not what they say in vaugarde!!!! They say miaou and ouaf ouaf!!!!

The French onomatopoeia for a rooster crow is cocorico!!!! I can’t be alone in my knowledge!!!!

Description

Love's Messenger is an 1885 watercolor by Marie Spartali Stillman in which a dove has just carried a love letter to a woman standing in front of an open window. She wears a red rose, and has just put down her embroidery of a blind-folded Cupid.

Love's Messenger reflects the influence of both early Pre-Raphaelite painting and Italian Renaissance painting. The symbols portrayed in the painting, including the dove, rose, ivy, and the blind-folded Cupid "suggest constancy, fidelity, and loveliness in full bloom," but also suggest "beauty on the cusp of decay, sensuality, and the pain Cupid's arrows may inflict." The presence of Venus is shown by the rose and the dove, so that the "scene may offer a contrast between the beauty, love, and abundance of Venus and the sensuality and unpredictability of her son Cupid."

golden-rumped tinkerbarbet. small. snack sized. has a moustache. has a yellow bum. most of the year you can hear their gentle pop-pop-pop call throughout the day

lesser masked weaver, not a bird i can find where i live so i get to see quite rarely. they're much more bushveld birds. something about their pale yellow eye intrigues me? this guy was a bit shabby, he's mid moult, full breeding plumage is as below! (not my pic)

(not my photo) i love bushshrikes to a degree that's a bit ridiculous. i just really love shrikes in general (not related, it turns out). i've seen maybe one orange-breasted bushshrike in the last eight years, but i hear their call often when i'm in nature reserves. it's so mournful but sweet

A series of events:

1) Ayre has gotten Quinton completely used to using and hearing pet names for/from her, bc she’s a sweetheart of a girl who loves her friends

2) Quinton gets very focused up when he’s working

3) Quinton likes Bo even tho the two decidedly are not “technically together” yet and definitely don’t use pet names for each other

4) Quinton is not paying attention and idk, it just kinda slips out
