just got an idea for a creature in a story of mine, i call them sirens and theyre essentially giant bobbit worms but with a weird tounge/lure thing that it can change the color and shape of along with the ability to mimic voices.

#creature design #theyre pretty intelligent too #they hunt by calling for help and pretending to drown to lure prey #with one sirens lure taking the form of a head #and two others whose lures look like hands #one the prey gets close enough they pounce and drag the victim into the water to be brutally torn apart and eaten #theyre pretty smart too #in my lore they were created by mad scientist as bioweapons for a war that happened a while ago #but these guys #and many others #still survive hundreds of years later #btw siren lures originally were just human heads #but as genetic modification became more common #they were given the ability to shapeshift their lures into whatever shape would work

comparing bellum’s two ‘deaths’ is fun, his actual death is quick he’s just trying to get away before it looks like he locks/freezes up and dies, but when he fakes his death he’s gotta flail around and do a little circle in the room and drag it out and go all limp before falling in his little pool and even makes it look like there was an explosion under the water after he falls in. dramatic ass

#the sounds he makes at the end of his fake death are either slightly different or exactly the same as his real death which is neat tho #salty talks #loz #legend of zelda #phantom hourglass #bellum #stuff like this is why i cant see him as just some creature acting on instinct. he dragged this out way too long for that #a real ‘ooooh oof ouch ack you got meeeee’ fake death #like he realized that link was actually like. a threat. and decided to peace out and just steal tetra back and Leave #and hes fighting a kid so hes like yeah this will fool him. and it does bc link has never seen bellum before and doesnt know what to #expect when he dies. idk its funny to compare them side to side i think bellums funny

Ngl youtube videos suddenly got me slowly turning into a Justin Russo hater.

#like mainly later seasons him #early seasons him is fine #but like i guess plot wise you could argue he becomes more iffy because you know the competition will be soon #and justin does want to become the family wizard #as for some reason this show still never fully tackled the fucked up shit of the idea that wizard siblings have to grow up studying magic #only for one or two or whatever number siblings to lose it to one sibling in a competition #like stevie was the closest we got to that #but like it still dont make it less bad with how justin was #like the worst example i can name is him literally refusing to save alex whose his sister btw and shes always dropped shit to save him #because he wants to project onto her that she purposely fucked up his chances to get back into the competition via #pushing the students to take the test only for them to be failed because bad guy being bad guy in reality #and basically blames her for the failure and such as a result and acts like its all an act when she is mad on the students behalf and shit #and his students have to drag him kicking and screaming just to save her from the bad guy's shit #and there's also the competition itself where harper and zeke get grabbed by a creature during it #but alex has to convince her brothers to save the two and thats just cold already on justins end with zeke #but cause they took too long they all lose the competition and magic #and both brothers especially justin proceed to treat alex like shit even during work hours meaning #fucking over family business just to get at alex #and when the dad ultimately almost sells the place justin STILL blames alex #like she was the only one working fully max was being max and justin was being a little bitch to her #aka the infamous refusing to make her orders only max's and when he does he throws the sandwich at her #and cause she was holding drinks at the time and didnt see it coming the drinks went on a customer #and also throwing table trash into her already full bin shes carrying around while cleaning tables #and therefore messing it up for her like #and alex's logo...well from sounds of shit thats just justin again being a hateful bitch to his sister with zero consquiences #even one commenter pointing how he sadistically smiled while telling her all her friends hate her #like dear god if the show was doing this to make everyone root for alex its working i hate later season justin #gonna be interesting if hes matured or not as an adult

i made a bomb ass soup today and had to share and i feel like i need a space just for food so yeah. no pressure to follow i just wanted somewhere to document my kitchen successes because it’s my happy place :)

#ramble on exie #if i didn’t despise the food service industry i would totally work in kitchens #but unfortunately that is not an environment that agrees with exies #we are very fragile slow moving creatures. restaurants are much too busy and chaotic for me #i would totally hobby cook and sell what i make (like a home baking business or something)#but i really don’t want to risk something i love so much becoming a drag because i made it work

proseka movie was a fun experience. I brought the creature and mizuki. unfortunately no poster or standee displays at my location to take pictures with though 💔

#the movie is okay. overall nothing spectacular imo but it handles the source material as well and faithfully as it could I feel #almost so faithfully that it wounds the runtime a bit by dragging out some parts as some project sekai stories tend to do but whatever #im only fully caught up to nightcord and one year into the rest of the group side stories but I still understood what was going on. so yay #honestly the animated recap shorts they released for journey to bloom could've been played before the movie. that might help newcomers idk #gkids did something like that for promare's release here a few years ago. I wonder why they chose not to for this... strange #mizuki an and ena were in it quite a bit though so im satisfied :] no spoilers but there's some cool stuff it does with the sekai lore too #hopefully one day a movie just about vocal synths will be made somehow. this made me want one even more #not that I dislike proseka but I would like a non-gacha game associated miku/vocaloid movie someday. if that at all would be possible #this movie's message could've stood on its own when told through vocal synths instead of the ocs instead but I digress...#this was still easily one of the most lively moviegoing experiences ive had. I went to the last miku expo and it was comparable #not to the point that it was annoying! thankfully! it was a very packed premiere showing so I was worried a little #I forgot to bring my penlights for the after show... so I waved around the creature instead to not feel left out lol #(I was not alone by the way! lots of people brought plushies and penlights! there was also a lot of project sekai cosplayers)#still amused by the fact that deco wrote each of the group songs. I find them a little more likeable with context now #how many songs have they made recently. ive lost count #meow.txt

I love Saileen so much bc Eileen is an Irish hunter, she's Fae-touched, so ofc she would have The Sight. she catches Sam, this huge half-demon giant, in a blood sigil she set to catch a banshee. She looks at him and sees absolutely every single fucked up, distorted and "wrong" thing inside of him

....and Eileen just happens to be a monsterfucker. she's into this. she has this whole barely-coded conversation with him about "legacy", and she Knows(tm) and he knows that she knows, and she gives him her number and goes over to visit the remote cave of ancient treasures where he lives, and meet his weird aggro brother and an Actual Angel and Jack(they aren't quite sure what Jack is yet), and she trusts that none of them will eat her.

She dies, wakes up in a bathtub that's been converted into some kind of resurrection cauldron, and rolls with it because she's Irish, she knows this story. she knows Sam and loves Sam for everything he is. he's unguarded around her in a way he's not around ANYONE else, including Dean, bc if Dean found out what a monster Sam was he might hunt him (or so Sam thinks), but Eileen knew from the beginning so there's never been any secrets between them.

what does Eileen gain from this? a sweet, thoughtful, devoted and smart boyfriend who respects her, learns sign language for her, will literally bring her back from the dead if he has to, makes a mean smoothie bowl also happens to be a mythical giant with fangs and antlers and demon blood and fur and a sickass cave lair and psychic powers and-

My mind is hunting me for sport lol

#second time in not a long span of time #that I have a long duration horror dream #some time back it was some sort of zombie apocalypse #and trying to survive in a sort of bunker #and this time there were creature's pouring out of extra dimensional portals #and some folks and I were trying to save these two siblings who were important somehow #and the girl was cooperative but the stupid boy didn't want to leave the house with the portals #eventually we dragged him to the safe house and everyone who was guarding the house knew he shouldn't leavez #but somehow he left anyway and returned later with lots of help #but they were all monsters shapeshifted #and the guards surrounding the safe house let the boy and the 'help' pass #and suddenly all of them turned into monsters and started slaughtering everyone #and we had to run for our lives again #only to find out the whole city was being taken by monsters too #my mind is like -- hey what if instead of peaceful sleep #you have to fight to survive #in your dreams #x.x lmao #my anxious dreams used to be of me missing the plane or forgetting the test (as the teacher)#starting to miss those
