idk if what i say is any helpful but look at other peoples art!! i kinda js borrowed and learn what i see from others so it can fit my style
i’m not sure what u mean by rendering but i kinda ‘paint’ when i color and shade if that makes sense?
i do a sketch layer n color layer, once those are done i duplicate them n merge them into one. the merged layer is the one i use ‘painting’
when shading i usually mix up between the edges of my shading being soft or hard and my brushes aren’t usually at full opacity when i’m shading
UM uhhhj i also try to stylize my shading n lighting w hatching liek this. and if the shading isn’t dark enough i js add a multiply layer over
i hope this helps i’m not very good at explaigh hahyshsgggg
