Dratchrod Sparklings but they are twins and the three of them spend literal months snuggled up with Rodimus in the middle on the daily basis cuddling and quietly talking about how the two bitties might resemble the two sires respectively, this supported by when Roddy starts craving some of Drifts and Ratchets favorite snacks. The three of them are excited, Rodimus thinks his sparklings are inheriting from the best bots possible, even Ratchet starts thinking about raising a little medic.

But then the fated moment comes and.......

Both bitty is the split image of Rodimus with the slightest hint of Drift and Ratchets form. Its a very big suprise, but not an unwelcome one.

They look exactly like their carrier 😌

And act just like their sires 😂

SAW MAE CATT’S SUNDAY PANEL AT TFN AND THEY OFFHANDEDLY MENTIONED THAT THEY’D LIKE TO HAVE INCLUDED AN APPEARANCE OF DRIFT AND RATCHET AS, I QUOTE, HUSBANDS IN EARTHSPARK

Spoke to them afterwards about what they’d like to have done with them if it had actually been properly on the cards, and they said it’d be something like an episode where the kids are struggling to learn how to use their cybersleeves and ratchet is called in in his autobot medic capacity to advise. However it would turn out to be more of a state of mind/philosophical type issue rather than a physiological one so Drift would also weigh in. Together they’d eventually work out a balance of guidance to offer between the two of them, but in the end the kids would have figured it out by themselves.

started with the headcanon that drift hung around the clinic like a feral wet cat for a while, then halfway through shading these, I started thinking, what if deadlock was an especially reliable assassin because he knew what kind of damage would make sure that even the best of the best couldn't bring you back

The former Lost Light crew are getting together at Swerves. It's been a while since they last saw each other. No one has seen Rodimus in months and there all worried about him. When he does show up he's holding a sparkling. None of them knew he was sparked. Who is a mix between Rodimus and Soundwave for some reason. The others shocked and confused. Drift is hurt that Rodimus didn't tell him. Ratchet wants to check on both of them and make sure their healthy.

Rodimus was going through post carrier syndrome and he didn’t want his crew seeing him sparked for both their safeties.

He barely lets Ratchet check over his bitty and himself and he rushes right back to his hab after the check up is over.

He lets Drift in and apologizes but he can’t help not wanting anyone near his bitty.

Drift is able to convince him to let ratchet in but so far thats it
