you meet him more late at night than in the daylight. when those rare times happen, there's always a friend or two that follows him around. a bright smile never leaves his lips, he laughs with his pals and nods momentarily when your gaze meets at random locations such as the campus' lakeside or bike shelters as a hello.

you mostly see him at a party or a night out at a local pub with a friend who also happens to be his friend's girlfriend.

it’s been months since you’ve shared a table with him in a pub or even club. your friend is always with her boyfriend, meaning you don't have any other choice but to blend in with these popular guys.

you don't hate partying or meeting new people. but there's something about being around him that makes you uncomfortable. perhaps it's because of the way your heart constantly beats faster when his mouth moves a single muscle. though you're not interested in having a crush with the campus’ it boy who's also one of your best drinking mates.

you don’t act clumsy around him, not anymore. furthermore, he always keeps an eye on you if you’re getting too drunk to function, helps you to get out of the crowded area, or even drives you home when necessary.

he is always respectful and has never said that he minded about it at all. a good friend, right? since you hang out with him and his friends, you’ve felt safe doing anything you want. especially when you really need to get shit out of your head, become completely wasted, and get hammered.

he asked you to dance with him and his friends last week while your girlfriend was busy with her makeout session. it could be strange if you deny his welcome hand, right? so you agreed to spend the night with him while the other lads were busy with their random new girls. it happened last week, yet your hand still remembers his touch on your wrist.

deep down, you have no problem hanging out with new people to support your girlfriend's new relationship–well, her boyfriend appears to be a lovely guy–but it isn't just about that. it’s more about the unnecessary crush which blossoms at heeseung.

you surely know you can’t have him. you tried to instill that in your head. he has never been with anyone. he belongs to everyone.

but sometimes, while having a good laugh with everyone at the table, you may prefer to die rather than simply be his friend.
