Headcanons for Benedicta's and Draco's relationship?

—The two initially connected during their first day at Hogwarts. They found their parallels inexplicably uncanny and were practically inseparable from then on.

—Ben and Draco were practically Slytherin’s Princess and Prince. The pureblooded golden children of Hogwarts. Aka the golden trio’s scourge (except Ben wasn’t as nasty to them as Draco I swear lol).

—It didn’t take long from there for them to develop feelings deeper than a simple friendship. While how they felt for one another was obvious to everyone, they never officially acted on it. Thus, it was very much “will they won’t they” in their youth.

—Even when they dated other people it was always clear who they really had eyes for.

—Draco had planned to officially confess to Benedicta in year six, but those plans were scrapped when he was thrown into the Dark Lord’s madness.

—Speaking of year six, that’s when their relationship fell apart. Draco became distant, doing his best to hide his new role as a Death Eater from Benedicta. Meanwhile, she grew worried by his withdrawn nature and decided to investigate. It did not take long for her to piece it all together and confront him about it. That, however, might've been a mistake all around.

—Draco knew that Benedicta was the only person capable of steering him away from the path Voldemort had already paved for him. Hence, he took extreme measures (aka dumbly ran crying to auntie Bellatrix for help) to get her out of the way out of fear of what would become of them otherwise. His plan unsurprisingly backfires in the worst way; by nearly costing Benedicta her life.

—With Ben stuck at St. Mungos, Draco leaves Hogwarts and canonically walks down his Death Eater stint. The pair's ties are severed from here forward. Especially when Benedicta is informed of Dumbledore's death and Draco’s role in it. 

—Even after the Dark Lord is defeated, Benedicta and Draco do not reconcile. The latter moves on with Astoria Greengrass, while Ben marries Blaise Zabini (who stuck by her side through her entire recovery) but their relationship ultimately ends in divorce. 

—It is not until over a decade later when Benedicta takes over as the Ancient Runes teacher at Hogwarts and bonds with Scorpius that she is reunited with Draco. The pair is then finally forced to face their painful past together, as well as revisit feelings that might not have ever truly gone away.
