Scrapnik Island AU
Takes place after Sonic Frontiers. Tails decides to temporarily part ways with Sonic and goes to Scrapnik Island to help Sigma and the Mechas out with their goals.
Tails begins to help out where he can and soon the island is a bustling safe haven for Badniks and robots alike who have been left behind by their creators. Includes some Gun Robots who have gone rogue too.
Cream is on that road trip with Amy and Vanilla is with the Chaotix leaving Gemerl to pursue his own desires if he wishes, except Gemerl doesn't know what he wants for himself. He is not his own robot, being reprogrammed and most of his data is not actually his own.
He goes to find Tails to try and figure some stuff out, ending up at Scrapnik Island with everyone.
At the same time, Omega has been malfunctioning a little bit and decides to temporarily part ways with Shadow and Rouge. He seeks out Tails to figure out what is wrong, which also brings him to Scrapnik Island.
At first Omega did start attacking Scrapnik island but the fight quickly deescalated by the Mechas, Gemerl, and Tails. Gemerl is helping building the Island outward to accompany all the new robots moving in.
They get the Egg Carrier working as a means of transport. Tails enlists Mecha, Gemerl, and Omega's help forming the first battle robot Team, Team Defect. (I could have called it something else but I really like this one.) Mecha - Run, Gemerl - Fly, and Omega - Power.
Those three go on adventures together, grabbing spare parts or fighting Eggman's forces back, engaging Sage/Metal Sonic, and plenty of other things.
Omega and Gemerl already have a mutual respect for each other, but they still argue a lot. Mecha is the leader, and the one that can help the other robots come to an agreement.
Mecha is that robot that loves his family like Gemerl, but will happily fight others if need be. He's a good mix of Omega and Gemerl which is why hes a good leader for them.
Mecha Sonic and Knuckles easily gain Omega's respect. Sigma less so. This is due to Sigma being another E-Series robot. Omega keeps trying to prove his superiority and Sigma just doesn't care. He's just proud of his little brother no matter what he does. It drives Omega up the wall.
Having Omega around makes Sigma want his brothers back, so he begins plans to rebuild who he can from the E-Series, sending out Team Defect to retrieve parts and memory cards from various areas around the world.
While that's going on, Tails deciphers what Omega's malfunction is and it's growing pains. He is coding his own soul. Omega is angry about this and wants to be a soulless murder robot.
Gemerl is dealing with his own identity crisis and is mad he never got the chance to turn on Eggman like Omega did. He asks Tails to look into if his love for his family is truly his own or not. As Tails pokes around in his code, Gemerl starts having hallucinations about his predecessor Emerl.
Except they aren't hallucinations, it's what is left of Emerl's code actively trying to communicate with him. Gemerl listens and Emerl tells him that what he feels is truly his own. It's a heartfelt moment, but Emerl truly passes on giving Gemerl access to the ability to fuse with machines and some of the other strengths the gizoid lost when the original was destroyed.
A good portion of the E-Series has been rebuilt now and all of them. And I mean All of them, treat Omega as the baby brother. It's antagonistically adorable, but Omega HATES it. The Phis are the trouble makers intentionally ticking him off so they can race away snickering.
Beta has been found and rebuilt. Beta hates Omega because the youngest E-Series is stronger than him How dare?! Omega tolerates Beta the most, besides Sigma because 'Oh good! Reason to beat something up and get out my RAGE!" Beta can't beat Omega. He keeps trying and failing.
It's cannon that Chaos Gamma is made with Gamma's parts, so at some point Chaos Gamma will come into the picture. Maybe he's tired of being neglected by Eggman too. There could be a choice between dismantling Chaos Gamma and getting E - 102 Gamma back or keeping the current robot. I like the idea that if you decide to dismantle Chaos Gamma to recreate E-102 Gamma, then Gemerl will be upset. Mostly because he sees himself in Chaos Gamma. Not being his own robot, even if Chaos Gamma has Omega's temperament.
Literally everyone loves Sigma. Even Beta. Sigma is that mom friend who will make sure all your needs are met. He dotes on all his brothers with a passion. He also loves participating in meatbag traditions like birthdays and holidays. Sigma is the only one who can refer to Omega as a baby brother and not get a gun to the face...eventually. Omega learns to tolerate it.
Sigma helps Omega grow into his soul. By the time Rouge and Shadow come to find Omega on Scrapnik Island for something they absolutely need him for, Omega just accepts Sigma's love and everyone is so surprised Omega is letting Sigma pat his head like he's a child.
The scrapniks huddle together at night a lot of the time for snuggles and to heal their feelings of abandonment. Sigma is always the one who starts it, but the Mechas follow close behind. Mecha Sonic was the one who first introduced Gemerl and Omega to the cuddle pile.
Gemerl didn't take much prompting, having done this before with the rabbit family, but Omega is very much against joining in.
It takes Sigma starting a cuddle pile around Omega, to where the badnik can't escape the love to get him involved. Mecha Sonic and Gemerl are just sitting there next to him, teasing him about it.
Beta is an aggressive cuddler. Whenever Beta cuddles, it always turns into a rough house session. Omega uses this as his escape from the mushiness.
Tails is so proud of everyone and what they've accomplished together. He is able to repair the Mechas to better working conditions, modifying limbs to make them look more like their original forms. Sigma has asked to remain mostly the same provided a few updates here and there. He likes the way he looks now.
The fox might be the mind of Scrapnik Island, but Sigma is the heart and Soul. Omega's the muscle.
Omega and Chaos Gamma get along well. They spar all the time. Beta likes Chaos Gamma too. If they team up on Omega, he loses to them. So much sparring goes on Scrapnik Island that they had to build a specific arena for explosions so they stop blowing up parts of the island.
If E-102 Gamma gets rebuilt instead of keeping Chaos Gamma, Omega and him talk about their favorite meat bags. Tails will call Amy and she will be so so happy to see him. This will make Omega begin to miss Rouge and Shadow.
Tails does research into the Gizoid's while here as well. Testing out Gemerl's fusing abilities. I'ma stop there because as much as I love shipping Gemerl and Omega, I want this to remain more platonic. 🤣🤣

Here's some renders of the E-Series robots based off official renders of them. Normally I'd watermark my renders but for these ones I've decided to leave it out.

E-Series Ask Blog
Have you ever wanted to see the E-Series robots just be brothers together while they heal from the trauma caused by Eggman? Well this is the place for you! This will be mostly fluff and slice of life here with some story and world building to flesh out the other minor E-Series robots since they don't have much to go off of. I also want to make them all their own unique characters.
Beginning story
E-117 Sigma, after meeting E-123 Omega for the first time, decides he wants to rebuild as many of the E-100 line as he can. He has sent out a variety of requests to Scrapniks and Sonic's friends to go track down memory cards across the world to see if they can be salvaged. With lots of help, he has successfully rebuilt E-100 Alpha, E-101 Beta, and E-102 Gamma, but he won't stop until all of his brothers are either restored or properly laid to rest.
Alongside the rebuilding of the E-Series, the scrapniks are making great progress in building up their island and thriving community. The Egg Carrier is their main mode of transportation to other places, but the majority of the story will remain on Scrapnik Island. There may be past bosses and other robots that have been defeated by Sonic that will show up here. They will be labeled as Scrapniks and become reoccurring characters.
Current Characters Available for Asks:
E-Series:
E-100 Alpha
E-101 Beta
E-102 Gamma
E-117 Sigma
E-123 Omega
Scrapniks:
Mecha Sonic
Mecha Knuckles
Guests:
Tails
Gemerl
Tags to explore:
#worldbuilding - posts containing element(s) I plan on using to flesh out the environments and surroundings. May not use everything in a post
#ask starter - post containing the current set up for asks
#e-fics - tag I will use for Fics I specifically write for this AU

Sonic Forces and Sonic IDW AU - What if Tails met Dr. Starline earlier? (WIP)
The City, Scholar Square
Approximately 2 months, 3 days, and 12 hours since Dr. Eggman's victory over Sonic the Hedgehog
The first person Dr. Starline encountered in the City was a small fox kit.
Past the metal soldiers marching down the street, he glimpsed orange fur ducking behind trash cans and weaving in and out of alleyways. Before sprinting to a new hiding spot, the child shot a cursory glance at the squadron. Cautious, but not hesitant. Never hesitant, as though this dozen count of E-Series badniks were nothing more than simple-minded animals.
Dr. Starline was both irritated and… intrigued by the child’s naivety.
Perhaps he didn’t understand what he was evading. Ever since the inevitable victory over Sonic the Hedgehog, the City—and the planet, really—had been plunged into a delicious chaos. Despite the way Dr. Starline’s heart pounded, finally being at the epicenter of the Dr. Eggman’s highly-anticipated triumph, he could recognize the disorientation of someone so young.
Still, ignorance would be disastrous in the long run. He considered alerting the badniks and turning this into a learning opportunity. After all, he benefited from learning opportunities himself once upon a time.
Or, perhaps he did know what he was evading. Two months into a war, and even the youngest child couldn't be that ignorant. But if that was the case—why? Why would someone willingly put themselves in danger, knowing they don't stand a chance against such a force? Stupidity? Reckless abandon? Could this be a suicide mission?
The child disappeared before he could make a decision. Dr. Starline watched from the shadows of a parallel alleyway, squinting through robotic crevices to locate that orange fur. The squadron marched on, plunging the street into a dead zone once more.
A trash can sat adjacent to him, miraculously still standing after two months of raids. Once the last E-Series passed from view, a small blur darted from its hiding spot and toward the library. Frowning, Dr. Starline peered around the edge of the building, shamelessly curious about the kit’s destination.
He appeared to be running for another badnik, this one hunched over in defeat. Dr. Starline’s eyes narrowed. Black and red body. Gold bands at the wrists and a “helmet” to match. For a moment, he entertained the idea that he was staring at E-102 Gamma. But, no. That couldn’t be. Dr. Eggman scrapped E-102 years ago. Plus, this model was shorter, more broad shouldered. The fox kit, who’d knelt in front of the robot as soon as he reached it, moved to inspect the clear encasing on the badnik’s front, revealing a red insignia on its shoulder.
Omega.
Air caught in his throat.
His jaw dropped open.
Chaos, this child managed to find E-123 Omega? The last model of the E-100 Series? The most powerful of the E-100 Series? In all of the books Dr. Starline had read, none so much as hinted to the idea that Omega was still functional. Shortly after he was ordered to protect the capsule of the Ultimate Lifeform, Omega’s signal was lost and never found again. Dr. Eggman didn’t dwell, only moved on to bigger and better projects.
Was it possible Dr. Eggman found his lost champion and refurbished him for this invasion? Of course. Save the best for the war, not the battles.
The kit turned toward a toolbox lying against the library’s stone staircase. In one hand, he was holding something these miscreants must've passed off for food. With his other, he sifted through the box until he found a screwdriver and turned back to the robot.
Surely this child didn’t think… he could fix an E-Series? Attempting any would be a feat, even for Dr. Starline without glancing at the schematics first, but E-123 Omega, specifically? The corner of his mouth lifted. He couldn’t help but laugh.
He’d love to know how this child thought he was going to pull that off. Making sure the coast was clear, Starline decided to investigate.
“Hmm, that should have done it,” the child was saying as he approached. He scratched his head, frowning at the robot. “Man, I’ve been out here all morning. Sorry I’m not smart enough to figure it out for you, buddy.”
Dr. Starline glanced over the badnik, sorting through the files of information in his head. “Perhaps he’s in recovery mode,” he suggested. The fox startled, but he ignored him in favor of stepping closer to investigate.
“Uh… What?”
“I recall the Gamma series possessing the ability to repair themselves after battle.”
Dr. Starline pressed his face against the chest window and attempted to commit the badnik’s innerworkings to memory. From there, his gaze trailed the robot slowly, considering every curve, every cut, every modification he could recall from the previous E-Series badniks. He wouldn’t forget this moment for a very long time; standing toe-to-toe with Dr. Eggman’s greatest soldier. If the child weren’t there, he may have pinched himself.
“That would make sense,” the kit said after a moment, turning back to the robot. “If not for self-repairing robots, he would really spend all of his time building new ones.” He laughed.
Dr. Starline glanced over, lifting an eyebrow. He almost asked what was so funny when he noticed the fox’s tails waving behind him.
Tails.
Plural.
... Of course.
“Where are your parents?”
Tails—an old nickname Dr. Starline remembered reading years ago that finally made sense—looked sideways at him. “Not here.”
“All alone, then?”
The kit bristled. “My friends know where I am.”
“Of course,” Dr. Starline said patiently. “Do they usually allow toddlers to roam free like this?”
Tails snorted. “How old do you think I am?”
Before he could attempt an answer, a laser shot past them. It bounced off Omega’s chestplate and ricocheted somewhere behind Tails. Another narrowly missed the hair on Dr. Starline’s head. Looking over his shoulder, his heart leapt at the sight of a dozen more E-Series bots marching toward them.
“Come on!” Tails cried, grabbing the doctor’s hand.

Open your... Erm... Engine? Sorry guys I can't make a funny enough joke 😔
Tumblr media
Wips + alt + ramble under cut
METAL SONIC RAHHHHHH he is my favourite sonic character, tied with E-102 Gamma. Which is a bit funny to me because I'm not usually super into robots. Just a strange coincidence this happened with this series.
Anywho! This was a relatively easy piece, but I had a lot of fun with it. Never tried to render metal before, but I think the airbrush here worked out pretty nicely actually! As usual the sketch and lineart were done traditionally, lineart was scanned in and cleaned up, and then the colouring and shading in digital. The background is just the SA1 background, just googled that and stuck it on here lol. First image here is without the background, second image is of the inked lineart (I forgot to get a pic of the sketch and flat colour stage, my bad gang)

Flashback: Gamma - Part 2
Part 1
He had been extra careful getting off of the Egg Carrier as the Doctor himself made it onboard. He didn't know what had caused Eggman to suddenly show up and search the ship, if he had maybe triggered an alarm system or something, but in the end, it didn't matter; he made it out undetected, and started to make his way back to the Mystic Ruins, back to his lab.
Tails would soon make it back to land, flying back to his lab to speed up the process. He was starting to get impatient, wanting to crack open the files he had managed to steal from Robotnik - the entire history of the E-Series, particularly E-102 Gamma.
He got into the lab, closing and locking the door. It wasn't a very large space, with most of it being taken up by the Tornado 2, which he was currently trying to add a sort of walker mode onto at the time. However, tucked away was a computer with all of his research on it. He threw the drive he had into the computer, starting to dig through the files.
Given how many of them there were, this took the fox quite some time. In-between his assistance with the Station Square restoration project, he would open the files back up, mostly going in order. There wasn't a whole lot he would have been able to gleam from most of the robots, as unlike Gamma they were essentially lobotomized after their failures, but seeing what happened to the other robots, particularly Zeta and especially Beta, was interesting.
In the case of Zeta, he was repurposed into the last line of defense for the Egg Carrier's engine room, a giant stationary beast of an arsenal meant to vaporize whatever entered that door without permission. For Beta, he was pitted against Gamma, a fight to the death to see who would serve him on the Egg Carrier... a fight that Beta lost. As such, he was stripped of whatever free will he might have, same as the rest, and "reborn" with the express purpose of surpassing even Gamma. It made Tails sick to think about.
However, they all shared one specific trait - their final moments at the hands of Gamma, a robot who by all accounts should not have gone rogue. It was apparently a surprise to all of them as well, because Delta's final moments were seemingly confusing to the robot itself.
He saw Gamma as a friend upon their first meeting after the Egg Carrier, reported friendly fire as Gamma started trying to "liberate" him... and then in his final moments, finally deemed Gamma as an enemy, with that signal being sent to all of the other E-Series robots. From what Tails could gather, Gamma separated himself from Eggman's systems when he defected, allowing him to gain the upper hand in at least his first encounter.
Tails was silent as he finished going over their memories. It made his stomach turn, seeing how these robots were given free will, and then had it stripped away. He felt sorry for them. It was at that point that he had clued into something; all of the robots had a sort of AI Directive file that would control their movements. All of them had ones that were programmed quite simply, with protocols to activate weapons, dictate friend or foe targets, and report back to Eggman.
Gamma's was much different however. It wasn't a simple list of commands, this one was twisted, tangled, as though it were coded by nothing but complete chance, and that pure luck dictated whether or not it would work. But he knew that it worked, he saw it in action... was it damaged? Or was this how it was supposed to work?
...The only thing left to do was to test it out, right?

Okay so
For various reasons, Sonic Adventure (SA1) is among my dead favorite games. The two relevant to this rant are the characters and the gorgeous soundtrack (in fact, I might go on a tangent about individual songs at the end of this).
My favorite character in the game is E-102 “Gamma” (btw if you derail this post about Omega, you die), a robot built by Eggman, who runs on animal power, as Eggman’s robots usually do. However, Gamma contains a very special animal - it’s a surprise tool the will help us later. Five minutes into being born (and after training, ofc), he is forced to shoot his brother, E-101 “Beta”. Following this, he board’s Eggman’s ship (the Egg Carrier) and is tasked with catching the tailed frog. Upon collecting the frog, he is transported to the past, where he experiences childlike wonder at the chao. Back on the Egg Carrier, the rest of his siblings are cast out because of their failure to get the frog. After that, Gamma is sent to execute a prisoner. On the way, he makes a wrong turn and ends up in the machining room, where he experiences eldritch horror at the sight of his brother being disassembled and reassembled. In the prison, he finds Amy Rose, who has a blue bird flying around with her looking for its parents. She convinces him not to kill her a la Mindy Animaniacs, and protects Sonic out on the deck of the ship, further confusing Gamma. He leaves the crashing ship, now convinced to “rescue” his disowned brothers. After successfully disposing of them, he is ambushed on the Egg Carrier by Beta Mk II, who feigns death in order to shoot Gamma in the back, and they both die as a result. Lo and behold, Gamma and Beta contained the parents of the bird. Reunited, they fly off into the sunset.
TLDR: Gamma is Eggman robot who experiences eldritch horror and compassion and forsakes his master as a result. He “rescues” his siblings before dying himself, and the animal inside him reunites with its family.
Now, a little more background before we get to the main point. SEGA Sound Team popped off for this game. Each character has a theme song that plays during their respective recaps and end credits (each one has an entire storyline with slight variations on who does what (it’s all happening at once)). Side note: I’m like 70% sure SA1 is the origin of Knuckles jazz. It should also be noted that I have a youtube playlist of songs on queue for downloading, and when I run out of ideas I scroll through the recommended additions section.
E-102’s theme is in my top three favorite songs from SA1. You’ll never guess what it’s called! Theme of E-102γ. And that’s my first talking point. I was reading the comments on one of the music videos, and one of them made a connection that his theme doesn’t get a proper name because he’s just another cog in the machine. Even Big the Cat has a greater role in the main story than him. And yet, doomed by the narrative as he is, he gets his own story. As another comment pointed out, each story has its own (literary) theme: Sonic is Adventure, Tails is Independence, Knuckles is Recollection (I’m kinda iffy on that one), Amy is Protection, Big is Friendship, and Gamma? Gamma is heart and soul. Compassion. Morality, something that shouldn’t be possible, and definitely isn’t comprehensible for a robot, especially one of Eggman’s creation.
As a side tangent here, I’ve been putting rescued in quotes when it comes to Gamma and his brothers, but I realized something between the time I started writing this and now. The animals that drop from the E-series robots are birds. They’re all his brothers, inside and out. I had always assumed that Gamma had meant rescue only in the liberation sense. I never realized that he meant it both ways. I just… I’m need a moment.
As a side side tangent, I think this is one of the biggest differences between E-100 ZERO and the rest. To my knowledge, he didn’t have any animals, much less another bird, and that was what led him to the brutish oafishness that we see displayed by him.
Back to the main points, I think that all of this is reflected in the song. It starts out with all of the synth, vague vocals, electro, etc. that would be expected from the theme of a robot, and then you’ve got… PIANO. Oh my god the piano. Piano Man has its harmonica, and this song has its piano. In the midst of the circuits, the wires, the computers, there’s life, a heartbeat, a soul. And with the soul comes that twinge of sadness. Sure he freed the animals, but to do so, he had to kill his brothers with his own two (?)(does the gun count?) hands. Due to this and the cumulation of everything else, hearing the song (or the variation of it) during his final cutscene hits and hits hard.
youtube
THE REPRISE OF THE MAIN THEME PIANO AS HE DIES IN OBSCURITY. THE OTHER BIRDS ARE LIKELY THE ONLY ONES THAT END UP KNOWING ABOUT HIS DEATH
It’s okay I’m okay I’m so normal about this
Now that the main rant is over, it’s time for me to hoot about the other songs
Be Cool, Be Wild, Be Groovy …for Ice Cap
I get that it’s a snowboarding section, but still. THEY BOTHERED TO USE GUITAR IN A SNOW LEVEL. NAME ONE OTHER INSTANCE OF THAT THAT ISN’T LITTLE BIG PLANET’S THE WILDERNESS’S SITAR.
Limestone Cave …for Ice Cap
Ambience plain and simple. Good for falling asleep to
Snowy Mountain …for Ice Cap
Another ambience piece, this time with another guitar (no this doesn’t count for the challenge I posed above). Love the mix of electric and acoustic
Welcome To Station Square
“The train headed for the Mystic Ruins will be departing soon.” Came for the guitar, stayed for the trumpet.
Red Barrage Area …for Hot Shelter
SAX (shout outs to the rest of Hot Shelter’s music btw)
Militant Missionary … Boss Egg Walker & Egg Viper
Hopelessness, despair, DRAMA. Things may not have gone to plan, but Eggman is surely still the one in control.
And finally, shoutouts to Bad Taste Aquarium, Pleasure Castle, and Dilapidated Way for going full throttle right out the gate.

If I get 20 notes on this post, I'll create an Ask the E-Series blog. I need them to live together as a happy family on Scrapnik Island but I can't write any more fics until I finish my big bang, so this will be a good middle ground.

Hypothetical Sonic the Hedgehog Fighting Game (from Arc System Works) Character Roster
Tumblr media
A good way to use character tier list makers: crafting your dream roster for a fighting game.
Yes, I'm suggesting "Sonic Violence" for the title, because "Sonic Warriors" sound like what folks would expect from a Dynasty Warriors-type game, and every other option I thought about sounds either too battle royale-ish or too generic.
Making up the base/launch roster would be most of the obvious choices, including characters who haven't appeared in mainline Sonic games yet, but have been present in spin-off games at least once. Espio and Charmy would serve as assist characters for Vector, and Wave and Storm would do the same for Jet. Zavok would use the powers of Zazz, Zomom, Master Zik, Zeena and Zor in his moveset. Doctor Eggman and Omochao would use robot walkers of differing sizes.
Missing from the top row (for obvious reasons) is this imaginary game's boss character, whom would be introduced in it and need to be unlocked through completion of the Story Mode.
After the game's release, the DLC seasons will get underway. I picture four of them, giving the game four years of support, and each having a running theme to their character reveals.
Season 1's theme is centered around characters exclusive to the Classic branch of the franchise, allowing Fang the Sniper, Bean the Dynamite, Metal Knuckles, and Heavy King of the Hard-Boiled Heavies to feature alongside the Modern cast.
Season 2's theme is based on adaptations of Sonic made recently and in the past decade, be it T.V. shows, comic books or films, so you could get characters like Rusty Rose from Prime, Surge the Tenrec from IDW, and possibly Longclaw from the film series (the only original - and named - anthro-animal character in the movies to date). I only put Perci from Sonic Boom there because of her Ensemble Darkhorse status.
Season 3's theme is major villains long past; a selection of the most notable villains-of-the-week from the franchise's history, like Neo Metal Sonic from Heroes, Mephiles the Dark from '06 ("HIS NAME IS MEMPHIS TEN-", That's not funny! It was barely funny the first time! It's never going to be funny again!), and Infinite from Forces. Why Captain Whisker, though? Because he's goofy as all heck.
Season 4's theme celebrates good characters who never made a true reappearance, but left a powerful impression with the limited time they had, including E-102 Gamma from Adventure, Emerl from Battle, Sonic the Werehog from Unleashed, and Sir Lancelot from Black Knight.

I had a dream where I was E 102 Gamma from Sonic and I had successfully got Froggy from Big somehow and Eggman banished the other E 100 series robots because of me finding Froggy and he gave me my own room and whatnot and I was nervous as all hell
I never thought my own dream could make me grow closer to a character, I now really like Gamma, he’s so cool

E-117 Sigma's face and hands can be seen from the audience's point of view peering into what looks to be a large tablet.
Sigma: "Hello hello! Oh I am so elated that we finally have internet access right here on Scrapnik Island! I have been patiently wanting to share with the world the progress we have made in all of our lovely districts! Along the way I'm sure you will see me document many wonderful moments with my brothers, the Scrapniks, and others!"
Sigma clasps his hands together at the rhyme and the tablet falls to the ground, showing the audience a sandy beach, roaring waves, and Sigma's flat-tired foot.
Sigma: "Oops! Right. These screens do not hover in mid-air. Reminder #23: Install autonomous rotary levitation fans."
The screen jostles around until it focuses back on Sigma's face with the residential district of Scrapnik Island in the background.
Sigma: "This online journal, or blog as Tails refers to it as, will serve many purposes! But, the one I intend to focus on is showcasing my progress on my goals!"
The background slightly pans right (Sigma's left) to reveal E-102 Gamma and E-100 Alpha talking to each other while E-102 Beta is standing further away while looking out into the ocean. Sigma waves a bit in Beta's direction, but he seems preoccupied at the moment. He turns back to the tablet with a pleading expression.
Sigma: "I have many goals, but this is my biggest one: I'd like to know what it means to be part of a family and to have a family. This is all very new for all of us, but I want the best for my brothers! I was told that organics have some of the best advice when it comes to family matters and I'm here to consult the confidants, which is of course all of you!"
As Sigma is speaking, Gamma and Alpha take notice and traverse through the sand towards his whereabouts as best as possible. Gamma has to continuously push Alpha along through the sand so he doesn't get stuck making a comical background scenario.
Sigma: "I am younger than the original E-100 units, but I do not want that to stop me from connecting with them! I would like them to know that I...I really care for them and want them around."
Eventually Gamma struggles to pick Alpha up causing him to glitch scream in the distance, catching Sigma's attention.
Sigma: "Oh! What hijinx have they gotten themselves into? Let us meet them halfway."
The background shakes around and with each bobble the form of Gamma and a struggling Alpha over his shoulder grow closer, until the screen stabilizes including all three robots into the singular frame.
Alpha: "Put me down."
Gamma sets Alpha back onto the sand per his request. Afterwards he taps at the screen Sigma holds. "This is not of Eggman's design, correct?"
Sigma: "Oh no. This instrument was created by Tails. We can now answer questions from organics around the globe."
Gamma: "Can...Amy see this?"
Sigma: "I do not know if she is aware of this live journal's existence yet, however! I intend on letting all of Sonic's friends follow along if they wish!"
Gamma: "This information is acceptable."
Alpha: "Tails gave details about a port designed to replicate matter."
Sigma: "Ah yes!!"
The screen is turned in the opposite direction to showcase what looks to be a large 3D printer.
Sigma: "This replication station is wirelessly connected to livejournal asks! You may send us anything you might think might help us in our endeavors! For now, it is in the Alpha testing phase, not to be confused with my brother Alpha, but rather we are not sure what its limits are yet. We look forward to testing it with the items you send us!"
The screen turns around again and all three E-Series wave. Sigma with enthusiasm. Alpha gives an awkward back and forth motion with his hand. Gamma just holds his hand up for a few seconds before putting it back down again.
"We look forward to hearing from you all soon!"
(Asks are open! You may send items, but will not accept anything larger than a bowling ball for now. Item rating is PG PLEASE! I will delete your ask if it is not appropriate.)

No but seriously, headcanon post that branches into another headcanon post just for the sake of emphasis. He despises people like the Zeti.
Give being good even the slightest bit half-decent a chance, he actually dares you. And he doesn't wanna hear that 'it's in the Zeti's nature to be bad' garbage. He'd like to introduce you to one E-Series robot named E-102 Gamma. You're being beaten out by a machine made of steel built to seek and destroy whatever target it's being pointed at. He grew a heart from nothing while you were born with one and still refuse to use it.
You literally just don't want to be nice. You're just mean. Suffer and agonize.
