And then there's this friend who reads that book as well and fangirls to you about it, or you see a fanart of your OTP and those feelings, the feelings you once had, resurface with a high intensity, maybe even higher than before.

And you re-live the same emotions and feelings anew. Your heart feels like it'll burst into tiny little pieces, because it's so full. Full of the love you have for your OTP and you fall in love again and again and again.

Ducktales for the ask fandom thing

Blorbo- a surprise to no one, Louie. Lives in my head rent free. Huey and Dewey are a close second but Louie takes the crown. I think he’s a little more complex than the other two. He’s the schemer, the charisma, the negotiator. He feeds his self-serving side more and lays around. And, of course, I see myself in him. I see myself in all three of them. But again, because I see him as more complex, he wins my favoritism.

Scrunkly- okay not to put the same character twice but it’s still Louie. Now Louie is not baby in the sense that he “can do no wrong”. Obviously he can, as we have seen. This comes back to complexity I keep talking about. Louie is quite literally baby. He’s the youngest brother and possibly the youngest member of the Duck family, excluding May and June which are kinda a weird situation. So being the youngest, he exhibits a lot of behaviors associated with the youngest. He’s emotional, he scares easily, he wants to be spoiled. It reminds you that, as confident and calculated as he may seem, he’s still a kid. A fragile one in that.

Scrimblo Bimblo- Lou- I’m just kidding. I’m not sure if he’s underrated, but Lil’ Bulb. Dude does a lot! He’s also fiercely protective of Gyro and gets mad whenever Gyro’s insulted. Like it’s in his programming to think of Gyro as his father, which also reflects on Gyro. I’m not sure if this is in Lil’ Bulb’s programming, but Gyro refers to Boyd as Lil’ Bulb’s brother. Therefore I think Lil’ Bulb thinks of Boyd as a brother :)

Glup Shitto- the employees of Glomgold from Escape To/From Atlantis! They were so great. Gabby McStabberson was raised by warrior monks who spoke only the language of the blade? How cool is that? Also she listened to Donald rambling about his family and answered his question about her family. Hack and Slash Smashnikov had the great quote of “But I thought employees were greatest treasure of all”. 10/10 characters we never saw again.

Poor Little Meow Meow- I would say Magica. I like her chaotic attitude. Very Bill-Cipher-esque. However, I will never forgive her for her treatment of Lena. I consider it abuse. Lena didn’t deserve any of it.

Horse Plinko- Louie. I’m sorry- IM SORRY. Depending on who you are as a person, you either know, or you’re completely baffled. I’m one of those people who say “Look a character I absolutely love! How can I torment them physically and emotionally?”. Especially with a character you relate to, it’s really easy to project yourself on to them. Louie also has many wounds that aren’t really explored in the show. At least, not fully addressed. For example, personally, I don’t think he’s really lazy. He puts a lot of work into things he thinks are important, Louie inc., Finding Scrooge’s Dime. I think he prefers to do nothing because he thinks he’s bad a everything, so what’s the point? It makes sense why when he finally finds something he’s good at, he clings on to it for dear life. Without it, he has no purpose. He’s not good at adventuring, which sucks when you’re part of a family of adventurers. He doesn’t belong. Despite portraying himself as confident, he isn’t. He’s just acting, and god we all know he can be convincing. In episodes like The Most Dangerous Game…Night!, Louie’s Eleven!, and Glomtales!, we see this facade crack. We see just how desperate to prove himself and how unsure of himself he can be.

Ebby Deeby- I’ve been going back and forth between Lunarius because THE AUDACITY and Doofus Drake because Doofus Drake. I think Doofus Drake wins. It could be the fact he’s my comfort character’s enemy, but I think what bothers me the most is the fact that he deliberately goes out of his way to make people uncomfortable. Like Lunarius backstabbed Della and targeted her family, but he didn’t SNIFF HER FEATHERS, WHISPER IN HER EAR, AND LICK HER FACE. That is a different kind of evil that resides at the very bottom of hell.

Full Name: Ebony Valeria Featherton

Basics:

The daughter of Oswald and Victoria Featherton, sister of Thames Featherton, aunt of Sebastian and Thaddeus Featherton, suitress/wife of Johnathan Abberquack (later known as Joseph Featherton), and mother of Walter Abberquack.

A top student in her magic school; has plenty of ambitions, but put them aside to focus on taking care of Walter.

Relationships:

Ebony is closer to her father than her mother, mainly because she and Victoria are worlds apart. Victoria is meek and abides by strict gender roles while Ebony is more outgoing and rebellious. Though Oswald tries to rein Ebony in, he understands her better and allows her to have more freedom than Victoria would...which isn't saying a lot.

Ebony is also quite close to her older brother, Thames. Like Victoria, he is more cautious and a rule follower. However, he honestly admires the drive Ebony has...though he feels the need to keep her out of trouble when she pushes herself too far.

Ebony adores her nephews. Sebastian feels safe around her and Thaddeus enjoys actually being acknowledged by someone. She's a maternal figure to Sebastian and Thaddeus, offering her support when needed.

Ebony is in a loving marriage with her husband. They have squabbles at times, but she is loyal to him no matter what.

Walter is Ebony's pride and joy. She dropped everything to focus more on him and doesn't regret it. Being a mother is an adventure to her, though the pressure from herself and magical society has led to her making severe missteps in her parenting. Though she can be sweet and doting, she also has a roughness to her which Walter misconstrues as malice. She ultimately wants what is best for her son, no matter what that might mean.

Likes:

Thrill-chasing— Dueling is her favorite subject in school purely because of the adrenaline rush she gets from a good duel. She's the type of person who would go into the depths of Merlin's Point for the hell of it. Outside of class, she does tricks on her broomstick. Ebony would go into dragon riding or pegasus riding, but her parents want her to focus on her studies.

Johnathan/Joseph— Being set up to marry him since birth, Ebony has a strong attachment to Johnny. Even if he gets on her nerves and hurts her deeply, she'd still sacrifice everything to keep him safe.

Despite not being the original Johnathan, Ebony loves Joseph and wouldn't trade him in for anyone else. He is the man she built a relationship with; Joseph gave her a chance while Johnathan couldn't be bothered.

Theo— Out of all of her classmates, Ebony enjoys dueling with him the most. (Yes, even more than Johnathan). She admires his dueling style and loves the feeling of dueling against him. Even if she loses against him, the rush she gets is enough to make the match satisfying to her.

Rhonda— Ebony loves her familiar, despite being unconventional. She loves petting Rhonda and doesn't really mind the smell. Not everyone shares her sentiment, but she doesn't care.

Dislikes:

Societal expectations based on her gender— Being told to "calm down" and "act like a lady" only makes Ebony want to rebel even more. This causes tension between her and her mother. She also hates the notion that she gave up on her ambitions because she "had to" as a woman; Ebony CHOSE to focus on being a mother because she WANTED to. Having that autonomy taken away from her frustrates her so much.

Professor Daskalakis— Ebony strongly dislikes him, but is also oddly fascinated by him? She pushes herself to prove her worth to him and wants to duel against him one day. She finds the idea of facing an expert dueler appealing, even if that dueler is repulsive.

Sabrina— Ebony despises her sister-in-law. She believes her older brother deserves better than her and hates the way Sabrina treats her children (Ebony's nephews). Despite having harsh feelings towards her, Ebony avoids bad mouthing her in front of Sebastian and Thaddeus (though that's difficult to do when Sebastian takes the opportunity to bash his mother during the rare moments he's alone with her). Unfortunately, Sabrina doesn't treat Ebony with the same respect when it comes to Walter; she even goes out of her way to drive a wedge between Ebony and Walter.

Hobbies:

Dueling— Ebony views dueling as an odd combination of a battle and an amusement park ride. She thoroughly studies her opponents' dueling styles and goes for the ones who are the roughest on her. It's not even about winning for her, she just loves the feeling of being dueled against. However, she could still hold her own in a duel if necessary.

Broom riding— Not being allowed to go into more extreme sports, Ebony uses her broomstick to get the adrenaline rush she craves. She's able to do complex tricks with it and still uses broom riding as a method of coping even after she becomes a mother. She even let Walter ride with her when he was younger, though she had to restrain herself as to not traumatize him (or worse).

Broom crafting— Ebony designs her own brooms, in order to create the optimum riding experience. She pays attention to the shape, size, material, etc., having specialized broomsticks depending on the mood she's in. Though she could easily turn her expertise into a business opportunity, she prefers to keep it as a hobby because she's disinterested in the commercialization of broom-riding and doesn't want the fun to be drained from something she's truly passionate about.

Physics— it's not the most conventional hobby, per say, but it's a common theme amongst her other hobbies and she enjoys dabbling in it in general.

Fears:

Pediophobia— Ebony knows it's irrational, but she's creeped out by humanoid objects. Their soulless eyes make her shiver.

Failing as a mother— Even before Ebony had Walter, being a mother felt daunting. Parenting is the one aspect of her life where other's opinions deeply impact her. Shaping a literal person is a HUGE responsibility and she didn't exactly have a lot of time to prepare. No matter what she does, there's always a nagging voice in her head telling her she's not doing good enough. It doesn't help that the nagging exists in the outside world as well. Ultimately, this fear is the root of her flaws as a parent...a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts.

Five Positive Traits:

Brave— Ebony can face any challenge that comes her way, whether it be a fierce dragon or a strict professor.

Intelligent— Ebony is able to calculate things in her head, describing the physics behind something just by looking at it. She's also a good student in general, though she's often overshadowed by her brother.

Innovative— Related to the previous trait, Ebony is determined to make breakthroughs in broom crafting and tries things that haven't been tried before.

Committed— When Ebony makes a commitment, she stays committed. This reflects the most in her marriage and parenting. The one time Ebony made time for herself, she felt physically sick.

Caring— Ebony is sympathetic to those in need and helps as much as she can. She's also an incredibly loving wife and mother.

Five Negative Traits:

Impulsive— This was more of an issue when Ebony was younger, wanting to do dangerous things for the sake of doing dangerous things. After she learns how to calculate potential risks, she's more careful. However, her impulsiveness hasn't completely gone away. If she's clouded by emotions, her impulsive tendencies come back.

Extreme— Some people might find Ebony too intense, especially when she shows her unfiltered risk-taker side. She keeps appearances in front of the pretentious socialites, but you better be prepared if she gets close to you.

Cynical— Despite trying to fit in (for her husband's sake), Ebony has cynicism when it comes to magic society. She has a distaste for the elites and hates the gatekeeping in the magical community. This cynicism makes Ebony judgmental of other women, though she develops a more nuanced opinion as she gets older.

Stubborn— Don't tell Ebony not to do something because she'll be even more determined to do it out of spite.

Fiery-temper— If you catch Ebony in a bad mood or piss her off, you're in trouble

Indifference - Hed’ja: It’s incredibly hard to pick up with them, whether they’re actually indifferent or just masking, because as I’ve mentioned a lot before, years of being somewhere between bishop and saint means they’ve had to get very good at maintaining their emotional composure to the point where everything they do is slightly too slow and even to seem like. Normal.

That said, if you’re watching really closely, you’ll be able to tell that their smile is a little flatter, and their movements a bit quicker, since they sort of just want to move on to something more important or interesting. Their shoulders will relax a bit, and they won’t have as much energy in their hands. All of it is, very subtle though.

Anxiety - Tov Might have done this one for him already but it’s been long enough that i don’t remember so!!!!!!!!!!!! picking at scales, messing with things in his pocket or his staff. He huffs through his snout a lot, to the point where he sometimes gets a little baby cold breath and it stings like when your drink goes up your nose pipe a little. His tail doesn’t thrash per se, but it’s stiffer and twitches more than usual. He makes eye contact even less than usual.

Frustration - Gent Blatant scowl, eye rolling, crossed arms and sitting in his hip. Loud huffing, as long as he doesn’t care that people know he’s frustrated. He’ll pace if he can, or tap his foot. I also like to think that if he’s trying to hold it in, he’ll grab his horns and kind of shake/squeeze them (like when people pull on their hair, but Tiefling Version)

Excitement - Ebbie Head forward, wide eyes, reaching for things before he can even tell what they are. He is a Look Boy and a See Boy so he’ll mostly just be up in the business of whatever’s making him excited.

Impatience - Gildy Being a grandma means she rarely gets impatient anymore, bc she’s had 19 young ones she’s watched over the years to get her used to long winded stories and explanations that go nowhere. When it happens though, she’s very much a *unsubtle cough* kind of woman. She’ll grumble and huff and stare make it obvious that if you’ve run out her patience, you’ve been going for FAR too long. She’ll also go for the intimidation tactic of messing with her hammer to get people to hurry up if she thinks she can get away with it.

Boredom - Roona They’re such a little dipshit about it. Holy Fuck. They get handsy with other people, poking and patting and if they’re Vinnie height, climbing just to have SOMETHING to do. They tend to lie in weird positions and groan to make it obvious that they’re just contorting their body because nothing else in the world brings them Any Sensation. If they know they’ve got a chunk of time, they’ll probably start messing around with old sword tricks they know like the back of their hand.

Sorrow - Gent (again i rolled an 11 3 times in a row) Actively does not want to get touched. He’ll shrink into himself and hide inside his arms and tail like a shell. He bites his lip to keep it from trembling. He’s not much of a crier, so he expresses a lot of grief with his mouth instead. Screaming, either full volume or silent, mumbling denials over and over, gasping breaths that aren’t quite sobs. 

Confusion - Craving She’s a master of the quizzical eyebrow. She cocks her head and stares from afar. (She doesn’t like to get close to things she doesn’t understand). She also touches her chin/mouth a lot in that “I was about to say something but frankly. What could I possibly say?” sort of way.

Lust - Tov (again) I’ll be real with y’all Tov is shyyyyyyyyyyy he’s a shy boy he keeps his horny to himself!!!! He’s not a big flirt!!!!!!!! His one tell is the hands, because a dyke made him. Prolonged touch/hand contact is the point at which you should go 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

Disgust - Ezra He stands up taller in his armor, like he’s trying to get his face away from you. He’ll press his lips together and tighten his grip on whatever he’s holding. He’ll probably grit his teeth and refuse eye contact. He has a very curated style of “I’m going to let you know that I fucking hate you, but in just a subtle enough manner that I still look noble/well controlled”. 

Exhaustion - Nissy He can certainly put on a show of tripping over his dragging feet, with a hand to the forehead and a swoon to boot, but as a well-trained knight who walks around with a longsword in heavy armor just on the reg, he rarely gets like. Actually Exhausted. When he is, you can tell with the slumped shoulders, limper arms, and the way he tugs his cloak up to get as much dark as possible. 

Panic - Udoora She runs around wildly, and she keeps coming back to places because she didn’t stay there long enough to process them the first time. She pulls at her hair and her clothes and her face, or or your hair or your clothes, or your face. If she has nothing to grab her hands will be shaking in the air. 

Fright - Stella Hand on her weapon at all times, perpetually glancing over her shoulder, back to the wall if at all possible, the instinct of creeping on tiptoe coming back. Her gnome ears will perk up to search for sounds. She actually has a pretty good stony face when she’s afraid, though. It’s much more body language than facial expression with her.

Enthusiam - Hed’ja (again) flappy hands stim elf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mischief - Gent (for the third time! these dice are thirsty!) wink boy! cheeky tail poke/slap boy!  He has a Very shit-eating grin also. I don’t know how to describe it well in words but he has this like, hip wiggle kinda thing (think minimalist flossing without the arms) he does to work off energy when he’s just Done something mischievous and is waiting for results.
