Its a terrifying scene. The camera angle revealing parts of a science lab straight out of hell. Kitchen knifes and scalpels lay dripping on a table.
On the dissection table- because thats all it could be- lays a small child. Small but noticable gills on the neck, the occasional fleck of scales and webbed fingers mark them as merfolk.
Viewers watch on in horror as the table is bloodied. A steady incision made in the left leg. The Justice League had been contacted but there was no indication they would make it in time to help.
A large Bang! went off in the background of the video, clearly catching the duo off guard. The man turned to his (wife?) with a weird moniter in his hands going off the charts and with an excited yelp they both took off running up the steps that were just barely in frame behind them.
A few long moments later, two teens sneak into the lab. The boy rushed over to unchain their parents 'test subject' while the girl kept watch.
Freshly released limbs had bloody wounds rubbed into the pinned down areas and quiet whispers of empathy were only just picked up by the audio. One of the viewers pointed out that the boy himself had scars in similar places.
The boy picked up the kid and the trio quickly slipped away out of camera view. Soft thuds mark their escape from the house, seemingly unaware of the Livestream their parents were apparently trying to make.
--------------------------
The story makes international news and leaves everyone on high alert. Government agencies scramble to prove they had no connection to the couple, the GIW undergos mass arrest when their names Maddie and Jack Fenton come up on their payroll. A channel is made to document any sightings of the kids.
The first one is posted after a day. It's security footage from a fast food restaruant. Four teens- the two from before plus a goth and someone named ''Tucker''- along with the comparitively tiny Mer sit in a booth. ''Tucker'' and "Sam'' argue about possible dietary restriction before seemingly ordering one of everything. There is soup, and a burger, the largest cup filled with water they could find in the back, chicken tenders and salad.
When the server goes to deliver everything, the four watch them like hawks, understandable given the previous day.
(Did any of them even know Half the world knew what went down? )
(Did any of them know how Aquaman was taking the news of one of his subjects being injured like that? )
( Did any of them realize that their choice to protect the kid was one of the main reasons war hadn't been declared yet on the human race?)
Jasmine is heard softly encouraging the tiny Mer to eat something, anything and eventually the soup is downed and apparently liked enough that she gets up to order more.
Right before they leave, while under the relative safety of a roof, they swap the bandages wrapped around most of the kids leg and arms and slowly tell them about future plans despite the fact that they probably can't understand the language.
(Jasmine points at a laptop screen filled with a view of the ocean. "We" she circles the group with her pinky "are going there to get you home." The atlantian can't speak english but the way their eyes light up and they relax further into Sams side shows they understand the basic message)
(The sight- of the child definitely scared but trusting them enough to get so close- helps calm the atlantians with access to the internet. Somewhere Aquaman finds himself able to breathe slightly easier.)

Daddy's Girl part 1
Let Go of My Daughter
The battle had been brutal. Debris lay scattered across the ruined street, buildings groaning from the damage, smoke rising from the craters left by the fight between the Justice League and the alien war machines that had descended without warning.
From a nearby rooftop, Dani watched with awe, her white hair glowing faintly in the dusk light. She wasn't supposed to be here—Danny had told her to stay away from trouble. But curiosity had a grip on her soul like gravity. These were the heroes she’d only heard about in stories, seen from the shadows: Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, Green Lantern—fighting together in a blur of power and purpose.
Then came the hum. A too-familiar mechanical buzz that made her hair stand on end.
Dani turned. Too late.
Agents in white armor, cold faces under dark visors—the Guys in White. They hadn’t come for the alien invaders.
They had come for her.
She bolted, ducking low, turning invisible mid-leap, but they were ready. A glowing ecto-net shot out from a launcher, wrapping around her mid-air, sizzling with power. She screamed as it struck her core, her body flickering between ghost and human, pain tearing through every atom.
“No—NO! LET ME GO!”
Her thrashing only made the net constrict tighter, burning her. One of the agents barked an order, and the voltage increased.
“Subject is destabilizing. Contain or terminate!”
A sickening jolt surged through her.
Her screams echoed across the battlefield. At first, the Justice League didn't realize what they were hearing—amid the chaos, it was just another sound.
But then Superman paused. His ears twitched. He heard the difference. Fear. Pain. A child.
Wonder Woman turned toward him, already running. “Where?”
“North rooftop!”
Batman was ahead of them both, his grappling hook already in the air.
The GIW agents didn’t see them coming—not until a batarang shorted out their generator, sending Dani crashing to the rooftop, gasping and shivering.
The agents turned in surprise, only for a red and blue blur to knock two of them flying into a wall. Wonder Woman’s lasso whipped through the air, tangling up another pair. Lantern constructs snapped the rifles from their hands and crushed them under emerald fists.
But it was too late.
Dani was curled on the rooftop, panting, hurt, and bleeding ectoplasm. Her wide eyes glowed bright green, tears cutting down her ash-streaked cheeks.
Then she screamed—a raw, primal cry from the deepest part of her.
“DADDY!!!”
The world held its breath.
And then… the sky cracked.
Clouds spiraled unnaturally. Wind howled. The sun dimmed under a sudden pall of swirling green light. Lightning arced across the horizon—green lightning.
From the center of the storm, a figure emerged.
A black cloak whipped in the wind, edged with silver chains. A massive glowing crown floated just above his brow, held in place by raw ectoplasmic power. His white hair streamed behind him like a comet. The air warped with his fury.
And his eyes—normally calm and glowing green—were now blood-red.
Phantom.
No longer just a boy.
Now, the Ghost King.
“LET. GO. OF. MY. DAUGHTER.” His voice was not a shout. It was a command from a being who ruled death itself, echoing through time and space.
The GIW agents who were still conscious dropped their weapons instantly, paralyzed by sheer instinctual dread. One tried to run—only to be caught midair by an invisible hand and slammed into the pavement.
Danny—King Phantom—descended to the rooftop. He didn’t even touch the ground; power thrummed beneath him like a living storm. The League took a cautious step back, not out of fear—but respect.
He knelt beside Dani, rage turning instantly to anguish. “Dani… I’m here.” He gathered her up, cradling her close. Her eyes fluttered open, and a weak smile touched her lips.
“You came…”
“I always will.”
Batman stepped forward. “Who are they?” He gestured to the crumpled agents.
Danny didn’t look up. “Government ghost hunters. Illegal operations. I’ve shut them down before.”
“They attacked a child,” Wonder Woman said grimly. “They’ll answer for it.”
Danny stood, still holding Dani. “Not to you. To me.” A portal yawned open behind him—green and swirling like a rift into another realm.
One of the agents began to beg. “You don’t have jurisdiction here!”
Danny looked back over his shoulder, red eyes gleaming.
“I’m the King of the Infinite Realms. Jurisdiction is what I say it is.”
He stepped through the portal, Dani safe in his arms. The sky rumbled one last time—and then the clouds dispersed.
The rooftop fell quiet.
Green Lantern let out a low whistle. “Well. That was something.”
Superman crossed his arms. “We’ll need to talk to him. If they’re hunting children like her, this isn’t over.”
Batman was already scanning the data from the agents’ suits.
But all of them, for that one moment, stood in the quiet awe of a simple, terrifying truth.
Mess with a ghost girl… and you’ll answer to her father.
The Ghost King.

Probably not the direction either of you originally intended, but the thick be plotting.
edit: sry @stealingyourbones this got much longer than i expected
For this, Danny and Amity Park is from another universe, one without the Justice League or any heroes. When a world ending threat came along, Danny was the only line of defense. He saved Amity Park, his home, his haunt, by bringing it and its people into his core, but the rest of the world was destroyed. Now, he's been roaming the universe, grieving for his planet and searching for a new planet for Amity Park to live safely. Danny's core is moving blindly through space, only following his obsession to protect the town. It takes too much energy to keep the core stable and stay conscious, so it is virtually on autopilot. Anything in its path it deems as a possible threat is destroyed, and anything useless is broken through without a care. When a natural portal opened, they crossed into the DC universe without realizing it, and continued blindly exploring the cosmos.
Inside the core, all of Amity Park is living, safe and sound. Thing is, they don't know that. Danny himself doesn't know that. Inside, they're all living life as normal. They wake up, go to school, fight ghosts, and go home. They never notice question the fact that the sky is always the same shade of blue, or that time jumps around weirdly, or that the town never receives any communication or visits from the outside world.
If you've ever seen Doctor Who, it's a bit like the data core in 'Silence in the Library'. Or like in 'WandaVision'. People are living entire years of their life in montage form, not noticing anything's off. People skip through the boring bits, never remember any 'before' or notice what's wrong about the town. Everyone is absolutely happy.
(Everyone is how he remembers them. Their souls are intact, sure, but they only act how he remembers them in his little world, but it's not like they know anything is wrong.)
It takes too much concentration and energy for even Danny to remember, so he's also living his life, inside his own core. He doesn't notice how his made-up universe will bend to his own whims, or follow his expectations.
A flash of green light and the screams of a 14 year old boy. Danny Fenton walks into a portal to the ghost realm when he is 14 years old and dies, but only halfway. Soon after, ghosts start attacking his town, and he becomes a superhero to stop them. Phantom will always fight them off, and the town is safe safe safe alive safe alive safe and happy, grateful for their heroic savior. One day, the town gets attacked by an even bigger disaster, one too big for Phantom to stop (grief, pain, protect, safe, please) - a god, Pariah Dark, future Danny, your choice. Danny, as a last hope, brings the entire town into his core to save them...
Danny Fenton walks into the portal (green, grief, screams, pain). Ghosts attack. Danny Phantom fights them off. The town gets attacked (grief, pain, protect, safe, please). Danny brings everyone into his core to save them...
Danny Fenton walks into the portal. Ghosts attack. Danny Phantom fights them off. The town gets attacked. Danny brings everyone into his core to save them...
Danny Fenton walks into the portal. Ghosts attack. Danny Phantom fights them off. The town gets attacked. Danny brings everyone into his core to save them...
Danny Fenton walks into the portal.
Okay, hi again- I have rib bones bc mine hurt but I have another Gemini home entertainment inspired prompt! One where Danny’s copse is like the Iris- “seemingly” like an average if misplaced, moving semi sentient planet with strange moons and an organic interior. He’s been roaming space in his core for many millennium after his earth was perhaps destroyed or he slipped out of his universe without realizing. Either way he’s steadily approaching DC earth and is considered a Big Bad Happening because his ‘blob ghosts’ have been attaching themselves to people and “parasitically ” killing them (helping ghosts who were avoiding their afterlife or rebirth) the justice league was already looking into it but when Green lantern tells them of the approaching ‘planet’ they send out a team (up to you) and when they arrive they are greeted with the entirety of Amity living within the core, safe and protected until Danny can find somewhere to rebuild.
Mystery Flesh Pit/Analog Horror ask GHE Ask 1, GHE Ask 2
Danny isn't actively malevolent, He's just something Greater Than It All and in a Godzilla way, observes other planets and sentient life as simply Something In The Way. Amity is simply living inside it's safe little bubble, they too don't mind the destruction, they are patiently waiting for a new safe place to live.
#but maybe the justice league sees the core and when they try to contact it#danny's core recognizes them as Hero Safe Help and lets them into amity#only to find a group of people entirely unaware that anything is wrong#and a town that is so thoroughly drenched in death magic that its like everyone there is dead a hundred times over already#and a small boy whose eyes glow the exact unnatural shade of blue as the core outside#who warns them to leave unharmed and not mess with his family with a voice echoing with power and authority#as soon as hes finished his sentence his demeanor goes back to the normal friendly boy they first met#one thing is very clear: something is Very wrong with this town#this is even better if its one of those 'extended exposure to ectoplasm makes all of Amity Weird; not bad; but Weird' scenarios#the town has fangs and Wrong eyes and very very mild obsessions#the town itself; bricks and streets and trees; is just a little bit sentient (part of that is danny part of it isnt)#just danny and everyone else living out his entire half life on a loop inside his core#pain and trauma and joy in all#give me eldritch torture#dp x dc

Ghost Diet-DCxDP prompt
Ghosts and spirits have a wide-ranging diet. They are mostly ectovores which are found in their main habitat. They are highly cannibalistic because the concentrated/processed ectoplasm that is in other ghosts is better from them. Although they eat one another they don't kill each other because they don't eat the cores of other ghosts but do weaken them. The eaten ghosts then have to build up their strength again to reform and gain back their lost ectoplasm. This creates a food chain where the strongest ghost consumes the weaker until they too are consumed.
This isn't always the case of course. While ectoplasm is a substance they can all consume they can easily supplement it with other foods. In fact, the ghost realm has a cornucopia of foods that they cultivate. These food however are not very friendly to mortals.
Danny often brings delicacies back from the ghost zone.
Ghoul Gelato from Frostbite: Ice cream infused with the essence of moonlight and frost.
Spirit Spritz from Ember: A fizzy drink made from ectoplasm and tears of joy.
Ectoplasm Eclairs from Desriee: Pastries filled with glowing, gooey ectoplasm.
Phantom Pudding is a special dish made by Nocturne: A shimmering, translucent dessert that tastes like forgotten memories.
Danny often eats them at lunch.
He ended up bumping into Tim between classes and sitting to eat with him when Dick had to drop Damian off for "Family Bonding" time.
So they ate lunch together. Which was awkward because Danny and Tim were kinda...you know having a moment and having a kid here was ruining it. Especially a very scary-looking one that looks like he bites.
Danny had a bag of gummies he had gotten from Jazz on the way out of the house. Danny had assumed it was safe and offered it to Damian as a peace offering since he wanted Tim's family to like him.
But those were Graveyard Gummies. A special tombstone-shaped treat that was similar to gushers but filled with ectoplasm. Jazz must have gone on a grocery run (yes they do have a grocery store in the ghost zone. You'd be surprised how normal some spaces there are) to stock up on snacks for the family. Dan and Dani also need their ghost foods.
Danny realized way too late when Damian actually tried the ecto gummies what he had done. But instead of Damian spitting out the acidic death fluid or...dying, the kid liked it. Loved it even.
"Where did you get these?" Damian said interrupting whatever Tim was saying.
"Oh...uh my sister got them."
"What are you so excited about? Let me try one." Tim reached for the bag only for Damian to smack his hand away.
"Get your own. Did you see Fenton give it to me?"
Danny had a bad feeling about this.

Gotham the build a city game.
Danny as he finally nearly finished 1/20 of his ghostly infinite king reports is tasked to help/dragged a nearly core crumbling addicted Spirit who refused to go to her check up and is a code core red to be in full chamber for recovery for the past centuries or three over a City building board game named Gotham, with Fright Knight as his backup.
It took Danny and Fright Knight about an agonizing hour and 20 minutes to wrangle her from the board game with her screaming, biting, kicking like a feral starving raccoon from the streets under a deal that He promised to play her board game in her stead while she goes back to her recovering.
The Lady explained the game with trembling hands that she watches over the city as the status piece, moves her character pieces here and there, items, and stuff around to built a utopian with random cards of consequences selected that take her ectoplasm as wild card if a character died and if she pick the wrong thing at the wrong time, but she been raking her core a bit after several mistakes, but her knights has been doing well so far.
She been playing for a long long time because her friends played their and bragged about their board game repeatedly resetting if a bad end for all their city that connected to hers, they have Central City, jackasshole holding the obvious cheatimg Gateway city, and her biggest frenemy/nemesis being that *itch with her Smallville and Metropolis just because she got a a few op characters doesn't mean her knights can't beat their ass if they were so busy!
The Lady's green glowing eyes and sharp teeth gritted hard with hatred, but her hate melted away due to how weak she was before continuing to speak.
He simply had to touch the status to continue the game, and please to the all mighty anicent, if her knights die under his watch, she will find a way to destroy him even if he is the current infinite King.
Danny can see pretty clear what Frostbite meant with crumbling game addicted Spirit, her skin was a sickly grayish green with obvious condensed rotting barely renew ectoplasm keeping her stable, her dress obvious tattered blacken to a tar like state that her own haunt was crumbling around her and the board game on the table.
Danny agreed though soup her in the thermos as Frostbite warned him about her little successful escape acts nearly up 4k times even with help that she crawl right back to the board game.
Danny glanced back at the board game after giving Fright Knight the thermos containing the patient spirit for Frostbite.
His hand touch the statue that change from a crowned women with wings holding a board game in one hand and sword in the other to a tall statue replica of him in his infinite king outfit holding a the solar systems of metal planets, his crown hover over his head like a halo simmered with star games and a scythe in the other hand.
It just a board game about building a city name gotham. How hard can it be.
....
....
....
Danny hisses like a possessed feral creature who just saw the light from being in darkness at Fright Knight who brought Jazz from starting summer break to see Danny hunch over renovated Gotham city mumbling about dastardly curses trying to latch on his ectoplasm but this time, this time he got the right item to fuck them up
His eyes look crazed and wild with a calculation burning desire to get a good ending, and white hair with dripping Tar, his crown was envelope in a icy fire, his nails sharper then diamond as he gripped and nearly chewed up clown character, the Spirts Haunt look like Danny's wail went through it several times before all cause that fucking *itch holding the Gateway fucked up the timeline again with the speeder character.
I got inspired by this post <-

Danny used to be a vigilante, firmly on the side of good. Like, illegally, but morally good.
Danny’s 100% sure that whatever he is now, it’s not good.
Is Gotham’s influence just Like That?
He was homeless when he got to this thrice damned city (literally, because Lady Gotham was so cursed) and now he’s… here? In a mid-level penthouse with a rotation of homeless kids going in and out of his kitchen and eating out his pantry??
Danny adjusted the cuffs of his dress shirt, making the conscious decision to ditch the tie. He’s a tall 6ft 4 now, taking after his Dad. His head smarted all of the time, hitting doorframes when he was being a bit clumsier than the normal ghost-like grace he had learned to channel as The Phantom.
The Phantom instead of just Phantom. Why? Because Phantom was the name of a teenage vigilante in another dimension. The Phantom, on the other hand, is an intimidatingly tall, deceptively kind, extremely dangerous kingpin.
Honestly? Danny didn’t even want this life. Like, he had no idea it would snowball like this??
He supposed that it all started when the Penguin was trying to snatch kids off of his block on Crime Alley. Not officially his block, of course, because Danny didn’t actually enter this city to be a crime-shadow thing. But he hadn’t lost enough of Phantom the Vigilante to ignore kids getting hurt. He still hasn’t, if he’s being honest. He flew into a frantic search, tracking down the missing kids to Penguin’s bar. The Iceberg Lounge. Apparently, he wanted the kids to do some menial tasks and what not. Danny, rage flickering through his core, intangibly went in and robbed Penguin of every coin and secret the man kept.
Then? Danny blackmailed the Penguin to guarantee his kids a measure of safety from the Rogue. That began the slippery slope into whatever it is he does now. Penguin was being kept in line by Danny’s threats, the grip he had on the Rogue’s weak points, and a wonderful bit of intimidation.
——
“What, you stinking phantom? I’m stickin’ to yer rules!” Penguin snarled, forced to his knees by invisible blob ghosts.
Danny, salty and pissy from the lack of sleep he’d experienced trying to keep Penguin’s men in line as a result of Penguin trying to test where Danny’s lines were, dropped the temperature to the point where Penguin started shivering. Considering the place was already cold- the Iceberg lounge lived up to its name- it meant that Danny was standing nonchalantly in a room that was negative twenty five degree Celsius in a sweatshirt, Danny was already making good on his natural intimidation factor.
“It’s The Phantom to you, Oswald.” Danny said, in the tone of someone saying “it’s the shit, to you.”
Danny narrowed his blue eyes, letting a tiny tint of ectoplasm make his eyes glow a bit in the suddenly icing over room.
“Your people have been getting on my nerves, Oswald. Roughing up kids is so… uncultured. Are you sure you’re a Cobblepot?”
Penguin snarled, the effect of which was rendered ineffective due to his increasingly violent shivers. Plus, Danny loomed over him without even trying.
Danny, annoyed and asking himself “What Would Dan Do To Intimidate This Guy?”, gripped Penguin’s shoulder and hauled him up one handed. He dragged the mob boss over to one of the booths, avoiding the bodies he’d dropped (non-lethally) when Danny first walked in to ruin Penguin’s night. He shoved Penguin in chair he iced over, because Danny’s petty and if he saw one more bruise on his kids at Penguin’s hands, Danny was gonna go full Dan the Murderer.
He at least allowed to room to warm up before laying into Penguin, though. He stayed standing. Hey, he had the height advantage to use. He could have kept Penguin kneeling, but it was probably god the best that the mob boss got some sense of pride back.
(Danny had no idea that sitting as someone loomed over you to lecture and threaten you was even worse than kneeling. At least with kneeling, you knew where you stood. But sitting? It leaves you horribly off kilter.)
“I told you to keep your people in line. Kids are off limits, Oswald.”
“I kept them in line!”
Never let it be said that Oswald Cobblepot had a normal functioning sense of self preservation.
“Really?” Danny jabbed his pointer finger lightly on top of Penguin’s trachea and allowed his fingernails to sharpen into Phantom’s sharper digits. Penguin tried to lean away. “Then why did they start a gun fight when there were kids visible on the street? Why did I see one of my kids get hit by one of your poor excuses of a bouncer?”
“I-”
“Don’t care much for your excuses, if I’m being honest. I let you mess around with the little projects you have, without even breathing a whisper of your secrets. Sionis would love to know how you double crossed him the last deal, yeah?”
“I- I’ll keep them in line!” Penguin stuttered.
“Well, I believe in second chances,” Danny bullshitted. Ancients, how was this even working? “So I suggest you make an example of the guy that smacked Hailey around before I make an example out of you, Oswald.”
“Fine! Fine!”
——
And with that, he got access to Penguin’s resources and men and more importantly, the corrupt police officers. He made Penguin “boot out” the pedophilic ones (in a very violent way) and kept the rest.
Then? Mr. Freeze froze over the god damn pipes and Danny had to intimidate and make a deal with the Rogue so he and his increasing roster of orphans had access to warm water.
In exchange for Danny’s restorative and, more importantly, unmelting ice, Mr. Freeze was now Danny’s… on-call enforcer?? When he’s not researching cures for his frozen in a pod wife, that is.
Danny was satisfied with that. He was! But then Black Mask happened, with the man trying to engage in a battle of wits with Danny over the control of Crime Alley which, at that point, was firmly Danny’s territory.
The thing is, Danny doesn’t play nice anymore. Why bother with pointless mind games when he could just…
——
“So, you’re The Phantom.”
“And you’re Sionis.”
Black Mask twitched at the name, gloved hands pulling out his guns. Danny sat on the counter, head touching mid cabinet, and sipped out of Sionis’ favorite mug.
Because Danny broke into Black Mask’s safe house and stole his quality coffee. The man’s eyes were wary.
“How did you get in here?”
Danny shrugged. “Walked.”
Danny held the coffee out of the way as Sionis unloaded a clip into his chest and lunged forward to slap a mask onto Danny’s face. After waiting a bit, as Black Mask’s smug triumph bled into shock, Danny laughed and, using a bit of his natural strength, tossed the guy off of him. He casually took the mask off of his face.
Jeez, I’m trying to be nice, here.”
“So, you’re a Meta.”
Danny grinned. “Eh. And you’re a cult leader with a mask fetish.”
Danny tuned out the rant about the “true face of Gotham” or whatever, already bored, and sipped at Sionis’ coffee. The ass might be a psycho, but his coffee tastes were wonderful. Danny stood up, rinsed his mug, and turned back to Black Mask.
“You’re trafficking people. Kids.” He said, cutting through Sionis’ chatter. He was sly about it too, committing violence and torture in a way that would ensure obedience and fear. Danny probably would have never caught on, Black Mask’s schemes being so ingeniously created and executed, had he not kept a hawk’s eyes on the more vulnerable members of Crime Alley’s community. And the rest of Gotham’s vulnerable communities, of course.
“My, a wonderfully obvious conclusion. Now, Phantom, I have a proposition for you.”
Sionis seemed to have gotten his bearings back. Danny tilted his head at him, looking down.
“You can work for me,” Sionis said, before opening a laptop with video feed to one of his masked men or whatever holding a knife to one of Danny’s more fearless kids. Danny snarled.
“Or, refuse, and your kid will lose a finger for every instance of your defiance.”
“I told you not to touch the kids, Sionis. I don’t allow trafficking either.”
Black Mask chuckled. “Cut off a finger, Sadness.”
“Yes, bos- ARGHHHH!”
Danny watched as Mr. Freeze froze the goon’s arms before breaking them.
“I’ve got her, Phantom.”
Danny nodded at Freeze, keeping an eye on Sionis in case the fool bolts.
“So, what are your cards now, Sionis? You’ve sure pissed me off with nothing to show for it.”
And that was the last night anyone heard from the one that was supposed to be the King of Crime.
But Gotham knew the head mounted on a pike at one of Black Mask’s hastily abandoned bases was a warning, that The Phantom was watching.
——
Then he somehow got a gaggle of more orphans that were undead zombie “Talons?”
From there, he just obtained influence over the crime bosses of Gotham. Because his Talons kept bringing him heads and blackmail and his crime alley kids and Gotham orphans kept bringing him information for food and safety?
But like, Danny never wanted anything in exchange for the safety he provided. His core could give less of a shit whether he got anything in return. But he couldn’t convince his kids of that! They’re putting themselves in danger and ugh-!
Danny checked himself once more in the mirror. Ready, he stepped out into the night to wait for the Bats at his new favorite VIP spots.
On the way, he passed Ivy and Harley, who he waved to. Pamela worked under him because he controlled Gotham’s criminal underground (which also mean the official parts of the city considering the sheer amount of corruption) and influenced them into more plant friendly methods. His dominion over Undergrowth also helped immensely.
Harley? They’re friends. He beat up and crippled her abusive ex. She gave him therapy and stopped torturing people for fun.
Danny stepped into the back door of the Iceberg Lounge. No one stopped him. No one dared to.
He settled onto a velvet couch, nodding respectfully at the server that had immediately and nervously set down his mai tai. He glanced around for cameras and wire taps, before giving up and upping his ectoplasmic output to short any recording devices out.
He sipped his drink as he waited.
“Batman.”
“Phantom.”
“Oh, good. You didn’t bring Robin,” Danny said, watching Batman tense. “Kids shouldn’t be in places like these.”
Batman stayed silent.
“Come on, sit.” Danny gestured to the couch across from him.
“This isn’t a social call. I’ll stop whatever you’re scheming-” Batman growled.
“Oh my god, you’re so dramatic. Is this where Nightwing gets it from?”
Batman snarled.
“Sit, sit.” Danny rolled his eyes.
Batman stayed stubbornly looming. Danny sighed, allowing his voice to slip into velvet danger.
“I told you to sit, Bruce Wayne.”
“You-”
“I won’t repeat myself again, Bruce. You’re testing my patience.”
Bruce sat, wary and hyper vigilant. Danny sighed, settling back in his chair.
“You’ve heard of Red Hood, yes? Don’t answer that, it was hypothetical. I know you’ve heard of him.” Danny waved a hand impatiently. “I don’t really care why he’s setting up shop in my Alley, but he’s upsetting the other crime lords. They’re asking me to interfere.”
“I don’t work for you.”
“No,” Danny acknowledged with a nod. “But I could make you, if you push it. Politeness would serve you much better right now, Bruce, seeing as I am doing you a… favor. And since I’m not shouting to the world who you are under the cowl.”
Danny gave Batman a pointed, patented, mom glare.
“… Apologies.”
“Now, you might be wondering what that favor is.” Danny watched Batman’s cowled face carefully. “I thought you should know that the Red Hood is your “Jason Todd.’”
Batman was still. And then Batman leapt at him, snarling, “How dare you-!”
Danny caught the vigilante by the throat and squeezed.
Batman’s flurry of punches- which, mildly ow, those gauntlets kind of hurt- quickly changed to clawing and maneuvers to get out of the choke hold. Danny held steady, cutting off the vigilante’s air supply until he began to go limp. He’s not Superman. Danny will bruise and kill, if he had to.
“Are you going to listen to me now?” Danny asked mildly, emulating both Black Mask’s drawl and Dan’s effortless psychosis.
Batman gave a weak nod. Danny plopped him unceremoniously back onto his couch. He sipped on his drink once more as he waited for Batman to cough some sweet air back into his lungs.
“I’m telling you to get your little birds in line before I have to go hunting, yeah? Keep your kids out of danger, Bruce, and I won’t have to step in.”
“He- how do you know..?” The growl isn’t there anymore, and Danny felt a smug sense of vindication of having smothered it out of the guy. Woah, no, that thought was too Dan and too little Danny. Danny handed him a cup of water, which Batman didn’t drink.
Danny rolled his eyes and raised an eyebrow. “Drink. If I wanted to kill you, I would have done it by now. And as for how I know…”
Danny held up a beat up copy of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility, filled with Jason’s writing. He tossed it to Batman, who caught it with blank eyes.
“Water,” Danny reminded him firmly, feeling like a mother hen. Batman gulped down his water, eyes flicking between the pages of Jason’s annotated book. Ancients, Danny couldn’t believe he annotated his book. A crime lord, like that? Well, it’s not like Danny could say anything.
Batman looked up at him, a silent demand- no, plea, because he’s not in a position to make demands- for an answer.
“Broke into his safe house. You should contact your fling, Talia. Seems like she dunked him into these “Lazarus pits” and told him you replaced him with the current Robin.”
Danny could see Batman’s emotional gears hard at work and honestly, he doesn’t have time for that.
“Now, we’re done here. You owe me one for the information. I’ll collect later.” Danny grabbed the Dark Knight, who stayed oddly unresisting (shock, maybe?) , and hauled him up.
“Tell Tim Drake to eat more. He looks too skinny.” With that, Danny dragged the Dark Knight to the window and punted him out. His kids were waiting on hot chocolate night and Danny had to go shopping for quality ingredients.
——
“YOU COULDN’T HAVE TOLD ME THE BIGGEST CRIME LORD OF YOUR CITY WAS THE FUCKING HIGH KING OF THE INFINITE REALMS?!”
“Hn.”
“BLOODY HELL, DON’T YOU GRUNT AT ME, YOU BROODY BASTARD!”
Constantine let out a scream. Shite, the king who held his soul contract was a crime lord. Great.
——
The reason intelligence and convoluted schemes and genius doesn’t work against Danny is because he’s got weird standards of what he’ll tolerate and the fact is that his normal dumbassery and mother hen tendencies cancels out and coherent thoughts or plans he might have had.

Monthly Phantom Check Up
Frostbite, Danny’s overly enthusiastic yeti doctor, shows up at the Watchtower for a surprise check-up, and things get awkward fast.
———
The Watchtower was in chaos. It wasn’t a typical day of chaos—no alien invasions or time-traveling villains—but something far more uncomfortable. Frostbite, Danny Phantom’s towering Yeti doctor and self-proclaimed “Master of Ghost Medicine,” had arrived unannounced. His massive, fur-covered frame loomed in the main meeting room as he carefully unpacked a series of glowing, intimidating medical instruments.
Superman leaned over to Wonder Woman, voice low. “Is this... normal?”
Wonder Woman’s brow furrowed in thought. “I don’t think this falls under the usual protocol for supernatural beings.”
Across the room, Danny Phantom stood in all his half-dead glory—or rather, slouched in defeat, wearing a hoodie that seemed far too large for his ghostly frame. He was clearly trying to shrink away from the entire situation, one pale hand covering his face in mortification.
“Frostbite,” Danny hissed in a hushed whisper, “you couldn’t have waited until we got back to the Ghost Zone?”
Frostbite beamed, oblivious to Danny’s pleading. “Nonsense, Great One! Your health is of utmost importance, and I detected a slight imbalance in your ectoplasmic core. It must be addressed immediately!”
Batman stood against the wall, eyes narrowing as he watched the scene unfold. “Ectoplasmic core?”
Frostbite nodded solemnly as he began to prepare an absurdly long, glowing probe. “Indeed, Batman. The Great One is half-ghost, and thus, his core requires regular maintenance. There are many nuances to his biology that need tending to.”
Danny groaned. “Oh, Ancients, kill me now…”
The Justice League—gathered for what they thought was going to be a strategy meeting—could only look on in awkward silence. Aquaman coughed and pretended to adjust his trident. Green Lantern pulled up a holographic projection of the solar system, which he stared at intensely despite not needing to. Flash, of course, was barely containing his laughter, lips twitching every time Frostbite said something ridiculous.
“Now,” Frostbite continued, holding up a glowing vial of something green and gooey, “the first concern is the ectoplasm imbalance. Too much exposure to the Ghost Zone can cause buildup, which leads to... ah, let’s say, irregularities.”
Superman cleared his throat. “Irregularities?”
Frostbite nodded gravely. “Yes. In the human digestive system, it might be compared to... indigestion. But in ghosts, it manifests as random phasing, ectoplasmic leakage, and occasional transformation into a much more terrifying version of oneself.”
Superman blinked. “That sounds... worse than indigestion.”
“Oh, much worse!” Frostbite said brightly, not catching the sarcasm. “Especially during ghost puberty. It’s when the ghost’s core is developing at its most volatile stage.”
Danny’s entire face turned bright red. “Frostbite! Seriously?!”
“Ghost... puberty?” Batman echoed, voice laced with what could only be described as grim fascination.
“Indeed!” Frostbite said, now fully in doctor mode. “The Great One is well past that stage, but it’s important to note that ghost puberty can last several decades for some. Phantom’s transformations would have been wildly unpredictable for years, often triggered by emotional stress or large quantities of fast food.”
Flash actually lost it at that, letting out a snort and quickly covering his mouth. “Sorry, sorry! Just—did you say fast food?”
Danny rubbed his temples. “Yes. I went through my ‘ghost puberty’ eating burgers and stressing about math tests. Can we move on?”
Frostbite chuckled warmly. “Ah, yes. The human world does have its unique challenges for the Great One. Now, the next matter—”
“There’s more?” Danny wailed, half considering flying straight through the floor and never coming back.
“Oh, yes!” Frostbite said with far too much enthusiasm. He turned to the League. “His dual nature also means his ghost half sometimes conflicts with his human immune system. It’s a fascinating process! For example, Danny can phase through objects, but if he catches a human cold, it throws his phasing abilities off and he might accidentally phase into a wall and get stuck.”
The room went silent.
Batman stared at Danny. “You’ve... phased into a wall?”
Danny gritted his teeth, wishing for the sweet release of invisibility. “I was twelve, okay? And yes, I got stuck. It was fine.”
“Mostly fine,” Frostbite corrected, waving around a spectral thermometer. “There was that one time we had to extract you from a particularly thick brick wall in Amity Park. Took several hours.”
Wonder Woman, who had remained silent up until this point, exchanged a concerned glance with Superman. “Is this something we should... prepare for?”
Danny shot them both an exasperated look. “No. I’m not going to phase into the Watchtower’s walls. Probably.”
“Unless his ectoplasmic levels are low,” Frostbite added cheerfully. “Which is why this check-up is vital!”
As Frostbite pulled out what looked suspiciously like a ghost-themed blood pressure cuff, Danny gave up. “I’m going to die—again.”
Flash wiped away a tear of laughter, his shoulders still shaking. “This is the best day of my life. I didn’t know ghost puberty was a thing.”
“I’ll send you my research papers,” Frostbite said kindly. “There’s a great deal of fascinating biology involved!”
Danny, ignoring everyone, shot a glare at Batman, who was watching all this with far too much interest. “Don’t even think about adding this to my file.”
Batman didn’t respond, though his fingers twitched ever so slightly toward his utility belt.
Frostbite, oblivious to the ongoing awkwardness, finished prepping his tools. “Now, Great One, if you could just sit still. This next part involves extracting ectoplasmic residue from your pores—”
“I’m phasing through the floor,” Danny muttered, promptly sinking halfway through the Watchtower’s pristine floor, only his head remaining visible. “See you guys never.”
The Justice League stood in stunned silence as Frostbite packed away his tools with a serene smile.
“Very well,” Frostbite said. “I’ll schedule the next check-up for next month. Goodbye, Justice League!”
And with that, the massive Yeti doctor vanished through a portal, leaving the League standing there, trying to make sense of what they had just witnessed.
Superman finally turned to Danny, whose head was still poking out of the floor.
“Danny... you okay?”
Danny didn’t respond, choosing instead to fully disappear beneath the floor.
Flash wheezed. “I love that kid.”

(Un)fortunate Courting (Request)
Requested by @silverblueglitter
Original Prompt Post this is based on by @diabolichare
A/N: Thank you for the request! I hope this will not disappoint. I am slowly getting back into the grove of writing and out of my block. Also on a side note I am not posting / writing as much right now because work is currently keeping me busy.
Danny was very sure he was doing everything right in regards to ghost culture. Clockwork and Pandora had been educating him very well on that. Sure they did it with some ominous explanation in regards to his future but Danny had shrugged that off. Clockwork had always had a way with words that didn't make sense but somehow did too. Now as he had learned if a ghost wants to cross through another ghosts haunt an offering needs to be made. Ideally the offering is in regards to something the other ghosts likes.
So if he would need, for example, cross through Embers haunt, he would offer her something like guitar strings or something other music related stuff that could be useful to her obsession. With that logic, Danny knew that if he wanted to use the short cut to his collage through Red Hoods haunt he would need to offer the other something. Like he had offered something to Lady Gotham for his stay in Gotham for his collage education. The thing was he would have to offer Red Hood something every time he needed to go through the others haunt, unlike with Lady Gotham who had just accepted a single offer since he wasn't constantly going in and out of her haunt.
But that also left him with what to get the other Halfa as offering.
He had contemplated offering something Red Hood might need for his duty. You know? Maybe some self engineered bullets he could use against ghosts, though Danny knew that was probably unnecessary considering Gotham's protector spirit, Lady Gotham, had a pretty good handle on everything here. Which good, because that meant Danny could fully focused on his studies for once.
That was until Danny realized how much the core of that other Halfa was malnourished. Which gave Danny the perfect chance to catch two ghosts with one thermos, okay bad joke. But seriously, that gave Danny an idea of what to offer for his right of passage through the others haunt. So he made simple care packages that would help the other Halfa. He had thought about supplying some Ecto-Dejecto directly but that felt a little to on the nose and someone who didn't know his family would probably think Danny insane, as if there weren't enough people in his collage thinking that already. Besides he was in Gotham and with villains like Scarecrow and Joker he didn't think a syringe with glowing green contents would be a trustworthy offering.
Anyway, Danny decided to be a bit more discreet, infusing ectoplasm into simple foods, that most importantly, COULD NOT COME ALIVE. So Danny's care packaged ended up consisting of chocolates, snacks and other sweets that would NOT start fighting back. He also figured out how to mix ectoplasm into drinks so it wouldn't taste to overwhelming.
Danny did not anticipate the side effect offerings like that would have or realise what his offerings looked like to someone who did not know about ghost culture.
Jason was torn as he found the n-ed little present box during his patrol route with a little card stating it was for him. He eyed the box having gotten familiar with these boxes over the past month. He lifted the lid and yep.... chocolates.
"Again?" his distorted voice came through his voice modulator as he eyed the chocolates suspiciously. Either he had a very insistent admirer or one of his enemies cooked up a new idea to make him paranoid. Not like his brothers didn't joke about him getting Bruce's paranoia when he had run the sixth box of chocolates through the substance tester to figure out if someone was trying to poison him.
Turned out poison was not in the chocolates but something else. An unknown substance but in small dosages. Jason was currently allowing Tim to run wild in figuring out what was mixed into the chocolates. Also the seasoned vigilante had to admit, that there was something tempting about these sweets. Like something inside him really urged him to eat them. It was only his self-restraint and discipline that helped him resist the urge to taste test some of these chocolates.
Also sometimes there were drink in these packages too. Yes, Jason had run them through the tester too and got the same results like with the sweets and chocolates. No poison but that other strange substance. At first Jason didn't really want to bother with it but these boxes appeared every damn night when he was on patrol, but strangle not on weekend or holidays.
"Oh got another little present, Little Wing!" Jason barely turned around as his older brother dropped onto the roof next to him. "Chocolates this time! How cute! They must really love you!"
Sometimes Jason wished his helmet could portray emotions better as he gave Dick a deadpan stare. "More like wanting to poison me." He muttered his voice changer doing nothing to support the sarcasm in his voice.
"You have to admit it is kind of cute! You have a little fan or admirer! And look these chocolates are even heart shaped! Oh and pralines are in there too!" Dick gushed on about Jason's admirer, while Jason rolled his eyes under his helmet. It would be cute if there wasn't an unknown substance mixed into the stuff left for him. Though he had to admit, whoever left that stuff was getting creative. From what Jason saw they rarely used the same brand of chocolates or sweets to give to him twice. Like they were trying to figure out what he liked. For a brief moment that made Jason wonder, if he actually ate one of these for once, would his admirer present him with the same brand again the next night?
He shock that thought off, no way was he going to eat something with an unknown substance in it. So instead he shoved the box at Dick. "Take that to the cave Dickibird. Gives Pretender more materials to test with."
Dick, to his credit stopped gushing for at that and chuckled. "Can do, but seriously though, what did Oracle say. Did she catch your little admirer on the security cameras at least."
Shaking his head Jason let out a sigh. "No, its like these boxes appear out of nowhere."
"Well at least they are harmless."
"For now." He grunted in response. While they didn't pose a danger, Jason didn't like the implications behind their appearances. For one no matter how much he changed up his patrol routes, these boxes would still appear. There is no video proof of someone placing the boxes. They just appear out of thin air or roofs or his path right when he comes by. If he could believe that the videos that Barbara had showed him weren't manipulated then they just appeared like a couple of seconds before he would find them.
It was suspicious and Jason was determined to find out who leaves them.
Danny hummed his latest earworm song, which happed to be Embers newest hit in the Ghost Zone, as he prepared his next offering to Red Hood. He had thought about leaving these boxes by Red Hoods Safe house during the day on his way to collage but he figured with his own history of being a hero. Secret identities were important and should not be revealed against the others wish.
This time he had gotten the expensive brand of pralines. He hoped Hood would actually like them and eat them hopefully. Danny threaded the moment he would have to try infusing ectoplasm into something other than safe sweets, chocolates and snacks that won't come alive if he didn't find something Hood would eat soon.
The Halfa was so focused on his task of infusing the pralines with ectoplasm that he did not notice the arrival of three of his old ghost rogues, until he got grapped by the collar and throw across his own appartment.
"OW! What the...?!"
"Long Time not seen Pelt." Danny blinked as Skulker stood over him, Ember and Wulf a bit further behind. Wulfs presence explained how the other two managed to show up in his place.
"What are you guys doing here?" He was so not up for a round of ghost body that could potentially destroy his flat.
"Fixing your love life." Ember grinned down at him with Wulf nodding.
"My love life...." Something was definitely wrong. Danny does not remember currently dating anyone. He also didn't have crush, well not a obvious one he thought at least. He was distinctively pushing way that fleeting image of Red Hood out of his mind.
"Yeas your love life Baby Boop." Ember reaffirmed. "Didn't the old ghosts teach you anything. You don't use the human of giving presents when you court a ghost!"
"I... what?" Danny's brain currently really had trouble catching up with what was going on.
"Pelt you need to assert yourself, fight your damn object of attention to proof your worth." Skulker added arms crossed.
"Don't worry we will help you! So you wont fail!" Ember added.
Before Danny could answer or ask what the hell they were going on about though Skulker grabbed him by the back of his collar again and promptly dragged Danny long with him flying out of his flat to who knows where. Distinctive Danny swore he heard laughing that sounded suspiciously like Lady Gotham.
"WAIT SKULKER!" The shout escaped him as his brain finally caught up but before he could go ghost and actually do something he was thrown against someone. Whoever he landed on let out a deep 'oof' that sounded distorted and Danny had a sinking feeling as he hurriedly sat up and came face to face with Red Hood.
"Aw shit...." Danny muttered instantly choosing to turn invisible and hoping that Red Hood had nod seen him long enough to get recognised, worst of all Skulker had dragged him all the way to Hoods haunt when Danny didn't even have an offering! Now he owned Hood two offerings!
"What are you doing Pelt! You are supposed to challenge for the right of courtship first! The courtship presents come later!" Skulker shouted at Danny to which while still invisible Danny choose to flip the other ghost off. Something he would have never done as teen but now that he had come to some sort of understanding with his former rogues was not rare happening, as long as Jazz wasn't there to witness it.
Meanwhile Jason was sitting utterly confused on the roof now, just a moment ago a twig of a man had landed on him and he had seen the other guy for a brief moment before he had disappeared out of nowhere again. He grumbled muttered curses and knew he would have to go though the video footage of his helmet to get a clearer picture of what or rather who had knocked him over.
But he had a feeling it was related to the boxes of sweets and chocolates.

May I please ask for more Royal Consort?? 🥺🥺🥺
Danny stares at the piles of paperwork sitting on the desk. They are in perfect stacks, each glowing in different neon lights- representing the territories they come from- and the boxes of scrolls waiting for his review.
There were also piles and piles of parchment. Stacks upon stacks of scrolls. And he thinks some crystals that contain oral recordings of reports. All glowing. All various colors.
It was as if a rave barfed all over an office and left an unholy mess.
He can tell by just looking that this will take him days, if not weeks, to go through. Let's not even think about about getting it processed.
Pointdexter is floating about the room, muttering and periodically checking a clipboard. Danny had figured that he should stop hiding in his room after the third concubine was sent, since he had woken up. The three were outraged that Consort Danny refused them entry to the castle, claiming they were gifts for the King and not the human toy he picked up.
They left after Pointdexter restrained Danny from reaching for his ghost-hunting gear. He made it clear that King Phantom had no need for concubines, being the Manager of the Hunt, the Third in command, and more respected by the ghost nobility due to being a ghost himself, his words carried more power.
They could not force their way into the castle, but they could still demand an audience with the King to make the offer of being his concubine.
The King was not present to formally dismiss them, which meant that the many men sent to Phantom as gifts could not remain in the castle. They would have to return when Phantom returned from the human world to evaluate the situation.
Sir John the Pure had been only one overjoyed to be dismissed like this. It seemed he was the youngest of the Cosmos tribe but suffered from a rare core condition. Sir John could not use any ghost powers without his core threatening to shatter in his chest.
He was a human with blue skin and stardust-dusted hair but without the added benefit of phasing through walls, shooting rays of ectoplasm, or turning invisible in the Infinite Realms. Sir John was one of a ghost born in the Zone, making his condition more shameful.
He wasn't treated the best among his people because of this, which Danny could gather by the way his servants acted. Sir John's butlers and maids seemed to have had a lot of courage in mistreating a potential "gift" to the King. Even if they didn't respect a human like Danny, he was still technically the Consort, thus higher ranked than all of them, and they still took pleasure in making faces at Sir John.
Besides his pretty face, there wasn't much Sir John had to offer the Realms, and thus, the family was eager to marry him off, if only to get some political power through him. Danny had ordered Pointdexter to create a nearby hotel for Sir John so he wouldn't have to go home to his less-than-ideal family.
He even dismissed the servants who accompanied the young ghost, as they were the same age, and instead had his aide find better servants to treat the ghost more kindly. They came from some of the local villages Danny had started developing over the past four years, offering shelter to weaker ghosts, so he knew their loyalty was never in doubt.
Danny ignored the adoring gaze the Comos tribe member threw at him when he was offered the hotel, especially with Timothy Drake watching everything. He finally understood what Pointdexer meant about the human ambassador.
He may pretend to be clueless, but a fierce intelligence burns brightly in his eyes. Drake was watching everything far too carefully to not be aware of what was happening; his absent-minded behavior before this was all a facade. Danny's question was how Drake had managed to convince him before that he was just another airhead.
Had he just been overwhelmed with the whole Consort thing, or was Danny more aware now that he was inside the Hunt that served as an extension of himself?
"Danno!" Poindexter screams in joy upon seeing him. "You're up! Excellent! The purchase orders on the desk must be paid by nine today."
The ghost flies behind him, pushing him towards the desk even with Danny digging his feet into the carpet. "Why do all these have to be paid by nine pm?"
"Oh no, no, no." Pointdexter hums, throwing him into the chair and pressing a fountain pen in his hand in one clean motion. His smile is dead, and his eyes are soulless as the fifties ghost says, "They need to be paid by nine am."
"But, it eight thirty am right now!?" Danny gasps. The grip on his shoulder goes unbearably tight as his Haunt manager looms over him.
"You better start signing." The teen says in a way that is not quite a threat but not entirely friendly. "The second you put your signature on these forms, payments are sent out. We. Need. To. Pay."
Danny reaches for the closest pile, shaking a little in fear as paper after paper is slid under his hand and pen. Every time he finished the last loop in his name, Poindexter quickly switched it out with another while speaking in a fast-paced tone to explain what he was signing.
"Payments for a festival hosted in the FarFrozen. Payment for the food we consume. Payment for the clothes. Payment for the wood. Payment for the anti-slavery act. Payment for soldiers harmed in the war. Payment for castle repairs. Payment for the ice sculptures. Payment to fund the apology gift baskets for the rejected concubines. Payment for my payroll, which is behind schedule. Payment for the bath salts King Phantom ordered. Payment for medical treatment in FarFrozen."
Danny's hand was starting to cramp up, and he wasn't even near the middle half of the pile. Pointdexer didn't seem keen on letting him stop anytime soon, though, so he pushed through. He lost himself in the paperwork, entering a near-meditational state. Hours later, someone knocks on the wood of his door, dragging Danny from the mental pits he has fallen into.
It takes him a moment to get his eyes to focus on the figure in the doorway. The paperwork glows in various colors. His eyes hurt, okay?. It's Sir John carrying a tray of food and beaming at him. "Hello, Dearest Consort. I brought you some food."
"Um, why?" Danny asks after a moment. He meant why was he ghost here wearing a butler uniform when he should be at the hotel he set up for him.
"Sir John is an excellent chief," Pointdexer mutters, looking through some scrolls while flouting seven papers around him. His eyes flicker between each one in practiced ease —apparently, he was a seasoned dungeon master in life. "I offered him a job when keeping maintenance of the Haunt grew too difficult for me on my lonesome. Our last staff members walked out after their payroll was delayed for so long. Not that I couldn't blame them."
Sir John scurries inside, placing the tray by Danny. Seeing someone so regal do servant work was a bit jarring, but somehow, he made the action of serving tea look like an art form. "I don't mind how long it takes for my payment to come through, Dearest Consort. To be by your side is more than enough for me."
Pointdexer shoots Danny a look before he turns his papers around and, on them, spells out the words, "He has a crush on you. Want me to fire him?"
Flabergasted by the reveal, Danny opens his mouth to speak, but once again, someone knocks on his door, interrupting him. It's Timothy Drake, dressed to the nines in a stylish old-timey suit. Something that was before Pointdexter's time. "Hello, Consort Fenton. I was wondering if you needed help in the admissions department."
Danny stares, ignoring the way Sir John's stardust turns an angry bright red. "Why do you ask?"
"Pass the time mostly," Drake laughs, rubbing at the back of his neck. "Not much to do around the castle now that I'm a human sacrifice."
Pointdexer clears his throat pointedly. "If you require entertainment, I can arrange that easily, Mr. Drake. Your offer is gracious but unnecessary."
A paper floats over to Danny from Pointdexer. On it, the word SPY glows brightly. Right, Mr. Drake was still operating under the impression Danny and Phantom were married and that the king was madly in love with him.
If there was a chance to see if the King was gearing up for war and undermining him, befriending the Consort way over his head would be the perfect way to do so.
"Yeah, I'm good. Thank you, though." Danny seconds, making sure to keep his suspicions off his face. Drake smiles, and suddenly, Danny realizes something.
Drake's smile is the same one those elites at the Wayne Gala wore. The same kind of look was on the faces of the three potential concubines before they realized they would not be allowed entry. It was the smile of someone from high society. Not someone like Danny, who was raised firmly in the middle class. He doesn't think he would be able to fake it, no matter how many years he studied to be considered upper-class
A chill runs down his spine.
How was Phantom so quickly able to blend in with them? Especially if he was only two years in the future of a world that had fallen apart?
Was King Phantom.....lying to him?
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
An entire plane of existence away, King Phantom sits before the tense and somewhat nervous members of the Justice League, the United Nations representatives, and the Lord of Time himself, Clockwork.
He laces his fingers under his chin, keeping his cold stare a few inches away from a glare but not quite there. His formal attire showcases his status and his position, but it's the spear, the flaming crown, and the bright gleam of his ring that really make everyone tense.
They are a reminder, a threat, and a promise all rolled into a few artifacts.
"Ladies and Gentlemen." He starts. His voice echoed the clacking of ice, making a few humans flinch, "I want to put to rest that I will be starting a war with this planet for the attack on Consort Danny."
There was a mutter of relieved sighs through the room, only for the temperature to drop so quickly and rapidly that puffs of smoke were visible whenever someone breathed.
King Phantom's eyes were alight with rage as he spoke in a deadly calm voice, "It will not be a war, for that implies you have a fighting chance. Instead, I will reduce your numbers. I will instead begin the invasion of all nearby planets. Earth will keep its freedom only because my Consort has a small, insignificant attachment to this world. But make no mistake, you are all pets at most, and everyone outgrows their pets eventually. Or outlives them. It's the only way to keep my Consort's honor intact within the Afterlife Court. I will give you one week to say goodbye, and then I will kill fifty percent of all life on this planet."
The entire room felt like they were placed in a guillotine. No one moved. No one spoke. Everyone- including the people watching at home, huddled around screens- was too frightened to move.
Clockworks bows his head, ashamed of what he's about to allow to happen to keep the timeline flowing correctly.
He raises his staff.
"My King, may I suggest another way to keep Consort Danny's honor?" Clockwork shifts into his elder form as the King glances at him.
"What is your suggestion?"
"Why not...."Clockwork's words fade a little, aware that Phantom was growing impatient of his hesitation. It wouldn't do to ruin the king's plan, no matter how terrible dumb Clockwork thought it was. "Why not instead divorce? The Consort honor will not be a failed reflection of your inability to keep him safe as a protection spirit if he is no longer your reflection?"
The room gawked at Clockwork, but no more than the King, who leaped to his feet in outrage. "You dare suggest I lose the love of my life-"
"You can simply remarry him after a week." Clockwork interrupts, his tone low in embarrassment. His speech speeds up as he desperately wants to get through this hare-brained idea that Phantom had approached him with in the future. "Earth could make up for the disrespect they showed the royal family by hosting the ceremony."
King Phantom sits back down, rubbing at his chin."That would be better than the alternative. Plus, it ensures Danny wouldn't be angry with me for killing anyone."
"Yes, as Consort Danny wisely said: Have you tried turning it off and back on again?" It took everything in Clockwork to say that sentence as seriously as possible. "This way, no blood is spilled. Consort Danny can finally have that human version of the ceremony with his parents present, which he always wanted. You would no longer be anchored to him with the new vows, allowing you to be on Earth without straining Consort Danny's body. The list of benefits is long, Sir."
Phantom looks increasingly gleeful with every word out of his high advisor's mouth. "I can also release that homewrecker, Drake, back to the human realm!"
Clockwork bites his tongue. "Yes, my King. Though again, I do not see a future, past, or present, where Timothy Drake is infatuated with the Consort. He just wants to protect the human race."
"Lies! Did you not see the way he was dancing at the gala?" Phantom hissed, curling his hands into tight fists, but his eyes were alight with glee. " He was practically undressing!"
"Okay." Clockwork shifts into his middle-aged form, trying very hard to keep the annoyance off his face. He doesn't think he is successful but it at least adds more to their whole facade. "The wedding, sir?"
"Oh yes! I shall divorce my husband and then marry him again. People of Earth, you have one month to prepare our wedding, and I shall put...you in charge of it!" Phantom points to a silent as the grave, glaring man in a bat costume. "Just for some motivation, I will now remove gravity across Earth."
He snaps his fingers, and the world panics as everyone starts flouting. Everywhere at the same time, the entire planet had lost gravity at the mere snap of the Ghost King's fingers. It lasts only for a few seconds, but it's enough to be reminded of how mighty the Ghost King was.

Core Gems
So when a ghost becomes injured, they have a last ditch defense where they retreat into their core. And I mean, injured badly where their body is rip apart to the point they can’t hold a solid form anymore. And they basically go into a hibernation state until they are strong enough to form again.
Ellie, Danny, and Dan are all injured in a final battle against the GIW. The organization was destroyed and the ghosts were safe but the halfas ended up being so injured that they reverted to core form and then went to sleep for a bit. When they woke up, they were still weak but at least recovered enough to gain consciousness. And realize…they are in some kind of auction…in the middle of a heist. It appeared that two furries (one in a bat costume and one in a cat costume) were ducking it out. And they…they were a necklace. All three of them had been turned into a necklace with their cores as gems accompanied by sapphires, pearls, and opals. And frankly gorgeous craftsmanship as the metal was crafted around their cores as if to cradle them and the other gems.

Unfortunately, they were too weak to take a form properly, they could still feel the strain on their bodies. But at least they could still communicate through their auras. Then the cat lady punched a hole in the glass container surrounding them and grabbed their necklace.
However, the bat grabbed the other end and it resulted in a sort of tug-a-war. Meanwhile, Danny, Ellie, and Dan were having a back and form commentary on the situation and what they should do. Completely unheard by the other party.
In the corner of their eye, the three halfas finally noticed a third contender. Some kind of clown who was…hold on…holding a gun?! And it was pointed straight at the two fighting furies who had yet to notice him. The ghosts’ protective instincts went into overdrive and they frantically tried to shout, yell, move. Just do something to warn the two but their cries fell on deaf ears. All they succeeded in doing was faintly glow which immediatly caught the attention of the fighting duo. The two turned to look at the strange necklace but right at that moment, the clown fired and a gunshot rang throughout the auction room. Having no other options, Danny and the others poured every ounce of ectoplasm they had to try and phaseshift, making the two furries intangible as the bullets passed right through them, but in their shock, the two jumped away in opposite directions and accidentally ripped the necklace apart. Gems and pearls went flying and the three cores bounced along the ground.
Luckily, the two finally noticed the clown and went to deal with him and his minions who had appeared. Seemingly putting their fight on hold and forming a temporary truce. The three halfas could only watch as the battle finally wound down, ending with the cops barging into the place and arresting the clown and his grunts, the cat managing to escape with half the scattered gems and pearls from the broken necklace along with a few other jewelry pieces (none of their cores though) and the bat leaving through a skylight.
The auction continued and in the end, despite being broken, their necklace seemed to have caught someone’s interest. A man named Bruce Wayne bought up every piece of the shattered jewelry wear. The auctioneers appeared relived that the item managed to sell in the end and gratefully gave it to him.
Bruce had no idea what happened at the auction, but he could have sworn that some of the gems faintly glowed right before he and Selina were shot. If the necklace was some sort of magical item, then he needed to understand exactly what has been brought to Gotham. It was unfortunate that Selena had taken some parts of the necklace but he utilized his vast wealth to make sure all the other parts ended in his possession. Now he would take them back to the mansion for examination.
#Dpxdc#dcxdp#kizzer55555 ideas#Bruce thinks the necklace is magical. He’s technically not wrong.#When he gets home he immediately puts each gem in a glass container to examine them. For the longest time though nothing happens.#They all look like normal gems except for the main three of the piece. He can’t identify what kind of gem they are.#The gems are perfect spheres with various shades of blue (with hints of green and white) swirling around.#The colors almost look like they are moving in slow motion. Still. Nothing happens as he examines them and no strange events happen.#That is until one day he decided to take the gems to be examined by a professional and a villain attacked.#A piece of building was about to crush him when a wall of ice appeared as a shield over him. After that he took them back to the cave.#Bruce looks up thousands of documents about enchanted necklaces and artifacts but finds nothing. He even calls in favors from JLD.#Zatanna doesn’t recognize them but feels some kind of power coming off the gems however it doesn’t feel malevolent (at least for 2 of them)#(The last gem is neutral.) Also Constantine was unavailable (*cough* hiding from responsibilities *cough*)#The other bats get interested in the gems. Tim has a theory that they are some kind of protective charms. Damian agrees.#(Everyone is shocked Tim and Damian agree on something). So while Bruce is continuing his investigation the other bats decide to do some#‘Field testing’ and take the gems out. Consequently the gems end up saving their lives and they discover a few things they can do like make#The wearer invisible. Intangible. Create green barriers/constructs. Create ice. Vibrate when an enemy is coming. And much more.#The bats fashion them into new individual bracelets/necklaces and think they are the coolest thing. They have powered up protective charms!#The halfas just wish these kids would STOP PUTTING THEIR LIVES IN DANGER! What are they MORONS?!#Most of the ectoplasms they recover is used to protect the bats and nearby civilians.#(Dan also trolls people and is mostly protective his siblings though)#People notice the new power ups. A rougue gets his hands on a gem and tries to use it ONCE to attack something but the gems didn’t respond.#Then it froze the rough’s legs to the ground.#Much time later the gems are swapped between the bats and alternated and have just become a new item in their belt#(batman was not pleased but eventually got used to it and begrudgingly accepted that they were useful. Especially when they save his kids)#They come to a Justice league meeting and Constantine finally sees them.#His mouth drops in shock and he frantically asks where they got GHOST CORES?! And this is when the bats finally realise what they have.#And are horrified to realize EXACTLY what they are holding and that these ‘gems’ were technically ALIVE.#Meanwhile the three Halfas have been kinda chilling but also working their butts off to keep this family alive. It was a fulltime job.

Uh,, no one knows au where Danny is essentially 'dead' in Amity. He's under a new identity, adopted by Bruce Wayne— or rather, Batman, himself. But he doesn't talk about the past he left behind—no, the past that tried to kill him and wage war to a whole nother dimension. There was no more 'Phantom', either. There was only 'Charon', an enigma of a 'hero' who helps the living and guides the dead.
He doesn't say anything about ghosts, the ghost zone, anti-ecto laws, Amity Park, the truth behind his biology, and more importantly, ectoplasm. A dead man tells no tales, after all.
So when his father showed pictures of a government laboratory filled with glowing organs, cores, and green green green—
Save us
My lord, save us!
Save us!
Show us mercy
Save us
Save us save us save us save us save us save us save us save us save—
&—
"Charon?" Superman's abrupt voice interrupts whatever it is he was explaining to the league. He looks at the man in question as he looked to another concerned, standing up from his seat abruptly.
He turns to his ward; standing behind with the rest of young justice, his face shadowed by the hood he's wearing. He's mumbling something under his breath.
He looks up with resignation and emptiness in his eyes, his hood pulled down revealing his whispy white hair.
His posture shifts.
A crown like ornament with star tips appear on his head, the bottom tips of his robe connected to his hood becomes lit by green fire, and a large shadowy figure suddenly appear behind him, a silhouette of an armor and sword made itself known.
"Five minutes. Give me a reason to not annihilate this planet to the ground."

Daddy's girl part 2
The Infinite Realms pulsed with gentle light.
Far from Earth, in the heart of his floating citadel, King Phantom walked the halls in silence. His cloak now hung lazily behind him, his crown dimmed to a soft green glow. No longer a furious storm of rage and retribution—just Danny again.
Inside one of the palace chambers, Dani lay curled on a bed of weightless mist. The Ghost Doctors—ancient shades sworn to serve the crown—had healed her, layer by layer, until her core stabilized and her body stopped flickering. She was sleeping now, finally at peace, pale lashes twitching as if she dreamed.
Danny sat beside her, elbow propped on his knee, hand half-covering his mouth.
And he was grinning like an idiot.
He tried to stop. He really did. He ran a hand through his hair. He even made it a full two minutes without chuckling.
But then the memory hit him again.
“DADDY!!!”
It echoed in his mind like music—raw, desperate, real. She hadn’t said Danny. She hadn’t said ‘clone’ or ‘big bro’ or ‘boss’ like she sometimes teased.
She’d said Daddy.
And it had ripped through him like a sunburst. Something in his very core had awakened—something warm, protective, ancient. The part of him that ruled death itself had dropped everything because that little girl had called him.
A warm hum vibrated through his core, resonating softly across the realm. Ectoplasm stirred, glowing a little brighter. Doors eased open like flowers. Somewhere in the castle, a ghost hound rolled over with a happy sigh, tail thumping once.
Danny blushed so hard his face glowed.
“Oh Ancients, I’m a mess,” he muttered, covering his face with both hands. “I turned into a giant death god and screamed at the Justice League because my kid said ‘Daddy.’”
His kid.
His core hummed louder, proud and smug.
“…She’s not even technically—well, I guess technically she is my clone, but also, like…” He trailed off. “Doesn’t matter. Doesn’t matter at all.”
She was his. She had called him.
And he’d never let anyone hurt her again.
He looked over at her sleeping form, a little smile tugging at her lips even in rest. His chest felt too full. He floated off the ground a little without meaning to.
“Dani,” he whispered. “I got you. I promise. Forever.”
She stirred, just slightly, and in a whisper barely audible over the hum of the realm, she murmured, “…Daddy…”
Danny’s core gave a full, joyful pulse that lit up the chamber like sunrise. The walls sang. The crown flickered back to life.
Danny just laughed softly, wiping a tear from his cheek.
He was a king. A protector of realms. A force of balance.
But more than anything else…
He was a dad.
And it felt more powerful than anything he’d ever been before.

Dead on Main Soulmate AU [Part 1]
Everyone has a soulmate. They can be either romantic or platonic, and the intensity of the bond varies, but everyone has a soulmate.
According to every person that has met their soulmate, the feeling of finally finding your special someone is unmistakable.
But to help you along, everyone is also born with a tiny red heart tattooed on the inside of their wrist. The heart beats if you're close to your soulmate, and when you meet them the tattoo turns golden.
It is also known, that when your soulmate dies the heart fades to black, and won't ever beat again.
Now insert Danny and Jason into this scenario.
This turned sadder than I intended it to be :')
-------
Next part | Masterpost
-------
Danny has a heart on his wrist like everyone else, and he has all but confirmed that his soulmate doesn't live in Amity, which he's secretly very happy about.
The thing is, Danny dies when he's 14 years old. Sure he comes back to life afterwards, but the damage is done. He'd looked into it to make sure, there are cases of someone very briefly passing away before being resuscitated. In each of these cases, their soulmate's tattoo would fade to black, regardless if they had met or not.
Danny knows that his soulmate believes him to be dead, and there's nothing he can do about it. He doesn't know what will happen when they meet, will the heart shift or stay black? Any reports he could find online about the subject didn't delve into what happens beyond the heart fading.
As for Danny's own tattoo, it remains mostly unaffected by his death. There is a fascinating side-effect of the heart changing from red to green when he goes ghost, most probably because he stops relying on his heart, switching to his core, which runs on ectoplasm.
But that aside, Danny doesn't notice a difference. His heart is still it's regular old red colour whenever he's human.
There's nothing he can do about any of it until he actually meets his soulmate, so until then it's a waiting game.
--------
Jason was 13 years old when his soulmate died.
It had been a regular afternoon, he was hidden away in the manor's library with a big stack of books he was planning to plough through.
It happened as he was simply turning a page. The red heart on his wrist caught his eye, and he froze in terror.
It just turned to black.
It didn't fade like what people have described, oddly enough. Instead, it flickered back and forth between red and black, as if unsure where to settle, before it stopped and stayed firmly black.
Jason just sat there, refusing to take his eyes off his tattoo.
That was where Alfred found him hours later, after the sun had set and the natural light in the library consisted solely of the dim glow from the moon.
The butler had originally sought out the boy to inquire about his absence at dinner, but could tell at a glance that something was very wrong. He approached carefully.
"Master Jason? Is everything quite alright?"
Jason numbly turned his head up to look at Alfred. He looked at the man that was always there when he needed him, even when Jason was damn sure he didn't deserve it.
He looked into the kind eyes of the man that had become like a grandfather to him, and he finally stopped holding back.
He wept silently, allowing his eyes to let out the tears he had been holding back. The tears flowed down his face, and had anyone other than his grandfather Alfred been watching he would have been embarrassed by the pitiful sniffling sound he let out as he wiped at his tear-stained cheeks with the back of his hand.
He wordlessly held out his wrist, showing the now firmly pitch-black heart stamped there.
The moment Alfred laid eyes on the tattoo his heart clenched, the older man feeling a pain that was beyond words with the realization of what his grandson was going through this early in his life. He quickly reached out and held Jason in a tight embrace.
For the first time in many, many decades he felt incapable of fulfilling his job.
After all, how do you comfort a child that has just had their one special person, their other half, cruelly ripped away from them before they even got to lay eyes on each other?
"I'm so sorry my boy."
As much as he loathed it, the words were all Alfred had to offer.
He wanted to curse the world, for doing this to the poor boy. Yet all he found himself able to do was silently pray for a miracle, that this wouldn't be the boy's fate.

DPxDC Prompt: Open Invitation
Every ghost in the Zone and out of the Zone knows about the Christmas Truce. The single day of no fighting has lasted since Christmas had been called Yuletide and other names, that every single ghost respected it and tried to make it, especially if they weren’t in the Infinite Realms. After all, when you were dead, it was fun to have a little party and cut loose without fighting and where any grudges or rivalries were temporarily suspended.
And despite being ghosts who mostly resided in the living realm, Deadman, Gentleman Ghost, Marilyn Moonlight, Lady Gotham and other ghosts like them all attended the Christmas Truce party—once, Lady Gotham had brought Solomon Grundy, and no one cared. He may be a zombie, but undead was still dead and Grundy was more halfa-adjacent if it came down to technicalities, and had been welcome there ever since. JLD, of course, had an open invitation due to their association with Deadman (though Constantine tried to avoid the Ancient of Time he hooked up with one—okay, several—times), and after Danny started attending after the Ghostwriter incident, his fraid had an open invitation too, despite how half of them were still among the living (not like it mattered anyway, since they were liminal enough to count as ghostly)
It was due to Danny’s, and later Dani’s, attendance that Lady Gotham and Deadman realised they knew a halfa, who the Truce party’s open invitation extended to even though he didn’t know. And being in the pure ectoplasm of the Realms might help the halfa with the issues of his core and the damage the Lazarus Pit had done to it, and the Phantom twins would be thrilled at meeting him, that all three weren’t alone.
So, on Christmas Eve, Lady Gotham and Deadman go into Crime Alley and bring Red Hood into the Ghost Zone to where the Truce party is being held at (re: kidnap him)
Jason has no idea where he is, who these strange, glowing people are aside from Grundy or why they’re all drinking what looks to be Lazarus Water or why he feels better than he has in years since he came back, but for some reason he doesn’t feel like he’s in danger and like a part of him belongs here, and these people haven’t batted a single eye around him and are instead encouraging him to let loose and drink some shots and have some fun, it’s a Truce party after all. And when in Rome, right?
Danny rocks up a couple hours later and has no idea why the regular human vigilante Red Hood is in the Ghost Zone or drinking ectoplasm while having the time of his life and is internally freaking out and not having a single clue that he’s a potential halfa. Yet (Dani knows, having arrived before both of them and Deadman had let her know right before he and Lady Gotham had brought Jason, and is having the time of her life meeting another halfa despite how gross his core feels and seeing Danny lose his mind before he realises, too)
Meanwhile, the Batfamily is low-key worried (read: high-key panicking) about Jason’s disappearance and trying to figure out where the hell he is.
#Batfamily: Freaking out about Jason disappearing AGAIN and having no idea where he is#Jason: Having the time of his life at the Christmas Truce party and getting a healthy dose of ectoplasm to his core#Danny: Panicking about an apparently non-liminal and fully alive human being in the Ghost Zone and drinking ectoplasm#Dani: Being her gremlin self and keeping the knowledge Red Hood’s a halfa from her brother until he figures it out himself#Lady Gotham and Deadman: Enjoying the party and knowing they did the right thing bringing Jason to it heedless of the chaos happening#Deadman will def bring Greta to the next Truce party because she’s also a halfa too fight me#And Lady Gotham will do the same with Cass and Damian as they’re extremely liminal#Danny figures out that Jason is a halfa… eventually (and explains what being a halfa is to Jason in the process)#And brings him straight to Frostbite during the party since Lazarus Waters are not healthy for his core#Constantine’s absolutely losing his mind when he clocks Jason at the party and realises one of Batman’s kids is a halfa#He and the rest of JLD and Jason will be doing the TUA and Spider-Man memes when they see each other at the party#Feel like there should be more prompts centred around the Christmas Truce because of the potential it brings bridging DP and DC together#And if there isn’t any then I’ll make one myself#danny phantom#dp#dp x dc#dp x dc crossover#jason todd#danny fenton#lady gotham#deadman#dani phantom#prompt#dp x dc prompt#writing prompt

Whoever You Are, Having You By My Side is Better than Not Having You At All
Inspired by this post: https://www.tumblr.com/caspertheloudassghost/706221984716062720/sooooo-in-batman-the-adventures-continue-9?source=share
And another post I can't find
We were in the middle of eating dinner, talking about cases and the new meta trafficking ring and how to dismantle it then suddenly a green portal appeared out of nowhere. Everyone were on guard, fighting stances ready.
A red headed woman came out of the portal, she was holding some sort of a futuristic sci-fi gun. Her eyes scanning the area, clearly searching for something. The moment her eyes landed on Jason it was as if the whole world came to a halt. Tears started appearing in her eyes. She dropped the gun and desperately run to Jason's direction.
The tears were falling down freely now. She hugged Jason tightly, refusing to let go as she softly muttered 'Danny' over and over...
*************************
"Mom, dad I am home" Jazz shouted
...
Weird... It's never this quiet.
"Mom dad are you here?" Jazz asks.
"We are in the basement Sweetie!" Maddie exclaims.
They probably created a new invention to capture ghosts. 'Creating new ways to hurt Danny' she tries to bury these thoughts deep inside. To ignore them.
Jazz went down the stairs. As she walked she noticed the green glowing slime covering the walls and a shiver runs down her spine. There is so much ectoplasm she thought to her self.
Jazz is frozen in place as she is looking at the broken scene of her little brother being cut open in his human form.
The smell of blood and ectoplasm that is clinging to the air is suffocating.
What are you doing? Jazz asked ,her voice cracked.
Mom Maddie looked at her and smiled. A sad uncomfortable smile.
"Jazzy sweetie... Listen your brother... He has been overshadowed by Phantom. Phantom pretended to be him. Tried to fool us by taking the form of someone we care about. Those evil ghosts are truly sickening, heartless things. Phantom used his body as a puppet... I know this is painful but don't worry we destroyed him. We had to free Danny from that vile creature."
Jazz could not believe what she had just heard. It has to be a bad dream. A terrible nightmare she has to wake up from.
"When we caught Phantom, it transform into Danny. It tried to trick us. It used Danny's body to manipulate us." Jack and Maddie tell Jazz. They desperately try to justify themselves. That it was what was needed to be done.
Jazz couldn't stand another second listening to those monsters.
She ran to the kitchen and grabbed one of their new guns.
Her eyes were wet with tears. She stood in front of the monsters who killed her brother. Her parents.
As she aimed for their heads her hands shook slightly. She looked at them in the eyes and she shot.
They fell to ground. The monsters are gone.
She ran to Danny's direction. As she held Danny's cold body, her thoughts ran wild.
No. NO. NO! There has to be a way to save him!
There has to be a way to save him. He can't die. He can't. He can't be gone. He isn't gone. He isn't.
I will save him.
*************************
As she stood in the Far Frozen there was only one thought on her mind. He is fine. He will be fine. He will get better. Her tears turned into ice. They are frozen on her cheeks. She looked at her brother's corpse through the glass. His body was strapped into some medical device for ghosts. It's fine they will help him. He will be cured. He is fine.
Suddenly one of the ghosts called her. Their expression is weird. Sad. Full of pain. The ghost yeti spoke "the Great One is... He is gone. His core is destroyed. I'm sorry..."
No No No No NO NO NO!
He can't be gone
She looked at her brother. Truly looked at him.
And she broke down.
Because she knew then what she hadn't let herself believe.
Danny is gone.
And he is never coming back.
*************************
Just one more world, Jazz thought to herself.
Failure
This one must be the one.
Failure
This one for sure.
Failure
Failure
FAILURE
FAILURE
FAILURE
FAILURE FAILURE FAILURE FAILURE FAILURE FAILURE FAILURE FAILURE FAILURE FAILURE FAILURE FAILURE
That damm word is taunting her.
Her failures still echoed in her mind.
His cold small body.
The way she was clinging onto him, so desperately. Clinging onto His cold bloody corpse.
She was too late. She failed him as a sister. She couldn't save him.
But she couldn't let go. She couldn't. She can't let go. Letting him go means she is giving up on him. And she is never going to give up on her brother. She will never turn her back on him. Not like they did.
The Infinite Realms are infinite. There has to be a world where he is alive.
There has to be.
*************************
Please work. Please.
Jazz stopped counting the amount of times she opened a portal in search for a living version of her brother sometime after her one thousand try. She didn't see the point. Knowing the number of times she failed her brother will not change the fact that she failed him.
He is not here. She failed him so many times.
She just has to keep up on trying.
She Tried not to think about how many times she has failed.
It was easier to keep going that way. To not think of her failures and just keep going. Keep searching. Keep holding on. Keep trying. Keep hoping. Keep hoping for something.
The first time she opened a portal to find a different version of her little brother, she was greeted with the gloomy and nousuating atmosphere of a graveyard. In front of her were four gravestones. That version of her is dead. She looked at the gravestones. Her face darkened. That world's Danny haven't even made it to his tenth birthday.
She kept trying.
She was just seeing gravestones after gravestones. Graveyard after graveyard.
After so many tries. So many failed attempts. She was growing sick of seeing gravestones. She couldn't stand to see another one.
In her 958 try she finally saw something else. No.
What she saw was so much worse.
She watched. Frozen in place. Too shocked to move. As her brother, her very much alive brother was being cut into, experimented and tortured by GIW agents.
She looked at her brother eyes. And something inside her just broke. He looked so small. So hurt. So tired like he wanted to just end the pain. Just end it all.
Anger was coming down in waves. His sad gaze drove her crazy. She couldn't take it anymore.
She killed every single agent there.
She freed her brother from his shackles. Took his muzzle and thrown it away. They muzzled her brother. She was fuming. Her entire body was shaking from sheer rage and fury.
That Danny was too injured to survive. His core was cracked. He was bleeding and bleeding and bleeding. The bleeding never stopped.
He died in her arms.
She was too late.
She failed.
She failed him again.
If she was faster. If she came a little bit sooner she could have saved him.
She will keep trying. She refuses to give up on him.
She will save him.
She will see him again.
*************************
Please. Please work. I just want to see you again. Please.
Just one more try.
Jazz took a piece of Danny's hair and put it the portal gun. She typed 'FIND'.
A portal opened. Jazz looked at the portal. Her eyes begging for it to work.
Please work.
Jazz took a small step into the portal.
Infront of her wasn't a graveyard, a warzone, a lab or a government facility.
No.
In front of her was a family having dinner.
She searched and looked for any sign of Danny.
None of the people were familiar. She couldn't recognise any of them. Except for one.
Her brother.
Her little brother.
He was alive.
He was healthy.
He was here.
She forgot all reason.
She dropped the portal gun. And ran.
She ran like she never ran in her life. And yet she ran to his side like a little kid. She smiled. Her first true smile in years.
She ran desperately. Because she was desperate.
She is just so happy to see him. To be with him.
Tears appeared in her eyes. She hated that they came so easily, but they didn't fall. Not yet.
She hugged him. She hugged so tightly. She didn't let go.
He was here.
The tears were falling down freely now but she couldn't care less. Because her brother was here.
They are together.
She didn't care if his name wasn't Danny.
He still was her brother. Danny no matter the universe. No matter the name or age. He was her brother.
And she will never let him go.
