[headcanon] PRE TIMESKIP

• Zoro is someone who dreams to be the greatest swordsman, we all know that. Achieving romance with zoro is unlikely given that he is focused on his goal, but if, for some unexplained reason, this guy actually managed to get in his brain that he's in love, I think this is how it would go.

• Zoro is more of an action type rather than verbal, so he would show you that he cares in action. Through body language, maybe like, standing close to you without realizing it, offering you water or food without comment, or looking away when you catch him staring.

• Even though he likes you, he might not get into a relationship with you so it'll all just be unspoken tension between you two. (I love you but I can't. Why not? Ahhh)

• He might train himself more and avoid you, because if he gives in, he's going to lose sight of his goal — he's gonna be in denial. Also, he'd be mad at you, at himself, at the world. Because you’re now a distraction—a distraction with soft eyes and a laugh that echoes in his head while he’s trying to train.

• But he'd train harder, push himself more, and sleep less, because if he can just be strong enough — maybe he won’t need to choose between you and his dream.

• He avoids you. Not in an obvious way, he'd just always be somewhere else, and if you ask him why, he’ll grunt and say, “Got stuff to do.”

• He thinks about telling you once. But whenever he opens his mouth, the words taste like betrayal so he swallows them with sake and silence.

• Eventually, he would just stay in one place once he sees your down casted face every time he goes somewhere else if you're around, but he wouldn't actively seek for you, if you did for him then this man is not going to move from his place. He would just listen to you talk, or do whatever you want to do by his side.

• He would always be looking at you. His eyes would trail on where you once were if you were to disappear and if you manage to catch his eyes he would either close them to pretend like he's taking a nap or he would look away out in the distant sea.

• But why wouldn't he let himself love you? It's because he thinks that love will weaken him. That if he lets himself fall, he’ll lose the drive to stand back up. That if he chooses you, he'd be failing Kuina, his promise, his vow.

• Also because he believes he doesn’t deserve you yet. He thinks you deserve someone who can give you a future, not a man chasing ghosts with a sword on his back.

• But zoro isn't stubborn. No, no, he's terrified. Because once he lets himself love you, it won't be halfway — it will never be — it will be everything. And you’re the only thing in this world more dangerous than Mihawk’s blade.

this verse is also the ones my ocs vaerra targaryen and alyssa targaryen (of pentos), but i ended up removing them since its really maryce's story and i didnt want to include them for like two appearances worth of time

this one is straightforward its just the canon family tree plus lorea. i have various other ocs and possible cousins in mind for her story but i dont think any are included in this. however i did go insane adding practically the entire lannister and baratheon/targaryen family trees theres like 60+ people in this one

House Errol

never mentioned these guys (because i forgot they existed) but theyre fairly important players in lorea's story, she runs into the kingswood after (spoiler!) her mom tries to 🗡 her and ends up at haystack hall. sebastion ends up agreeing to let her stay, then as the war continues is the one to push her to claim the throne. totally not because he wants to be her hand and marry his son to her. who would ever do that.

House Mallister

theres a couple more piper cousins/siblings in law on the other side lyman but thats fine. lyman has a wife named lynette swann and i never decided if his name would remain lyman. also i forgot to ever name one of elinor's brothers in law oops

after the hashtag scandal of elinor having a bastard baby her mom gets her brother lucas to marry his son to elinor and elinor is shipped off to pinkmaiden forever. sad!

Ellyn Hightower + Daemion & Alyssa

considering daemion didnt even have his own tag until like yesterday i dont think i ever shared that he's criston's son so. spoiler! theres nothing like giving your affair baby nearly the same name as your husband ❤️ also daeron is again not here. sorry. would be funny to include him just for the sake of the recent headcanons about criston being his daddy tho. when ur cousin is also ur brother and its not even from the incest side of the family

alia and aelyx are twins <3 i did not add all of daeron's various descendants or ancestors because frankly theres kind of a lot of them and again this site hates incest and it starts looking funny real quick. given more time i mightve added them and the great bastards and all but this is what you get for now

maron said their first kid could have a targy name since they'd be a martell either way so daenerys insisted he give the second one a dornish name and then with the twins they just followed their previous pattern of girl gets dornish boy gets targy. these guys are arguably the happiest family of ocs i got

maron had a paramour before wedding daenerys and he sent her away before the marriage because he knew daenerys would take offense to it, and he didn't want to risk the still fairly new targ-martell alliance, or risk angering daeron, which could theoretically pose a risk to maron's own sister. the family's one real conflict is that the paramour has a son who later shows up claiming he's maron's REAL oldest child and that aeron is actually a blackfyre. thankfully the dornish are not stupid and basically just go ????? before kicking the kid out. well actually a lot more happens than just that but yk how it is. that plotline is also only barely existant. i havent even read a knight of the seven kingdoms yet

Okay the very first time Adora says Catra's name I lol'ed bc I've watched this fanvid (which came out after s2) a truly bananapants number of times and it's just what I immediately thought of

I started reading a fic recently that I couldn't get into and gave up on, but it pointed out something that seems OBVIOUS NOW: the reason the Horde is all children/teenagers is like, the whole "destroying the villages of Etheria" thing. Just slaughtering the parents and stealing the kids.

Then again maybe they said that in canon and I forgot. Dumb shit like that is of course why I'm rewatching.

Someone pointed out that both Adora and Catra obviously have ADHD and I cannot unsee it

I mean yeah that's...that's her entire motivation

I will never, ever be over how fast this show started baiting them as a pairing. I remember the first time I watched the first episodes saying "the people who made this came from fandom and they know exactly how to get us."

Catra nails Shadow Weaver's motivation--"She's just mad she doesn't have any real power that doesn't come from Hordak and everyone knows it." And then calls Adora a "people-pleaser." She's not wrong.

Like, Catra understands the motivations etc of everyone but herself

Okay so on the one hand I know character age wank is fucking stupid, but also I get why people were like "...are these all minors or what" considering Glimmer's being grounded and then arguing with her mom like a high-schooler. My own parents (who were more controlling than most) stopped actually "grounding" me once I was 18--they just forbid me from using the car for anything but work or school because they owned it. Which is why they owned the car. Anyway.

(True story: that was their punishment for me getting bad grades at community college, and my response to this was to quit school, buy my own car, and move in with my then-boyfriend's family)

I wonder if Adora running off to do things on her own in order to attempt to protect people she cares about without asking them if that's even something they want her to do will be a continuing theme for her 🤔

Yeah this absolutely reminds me of conversations I've had over multiple decades about LGBT people and how people who know us as friends, coworkers, neighbors; realize we're Just People and are less likely to be dicks to us--not always, but often. Adora has never met a princess, so it was easy for the Horde to convince her they're all evil.

OH MAN this scene reminds me SO MUCH of the one in Arcane where Ekko is talking to Caitlyn about how Piltover/the Enforcers are fucking over the people of Zaun/the Undercity

We never do find out who Grayskull is, but that's because Netflix doesn't have the rights to the He-Man stuff, and I admit this was probably the best way to keep She-Ra's signature line without getting into that

Neon veins that bleed through the black and white jumpsuit, that fracture across his face like he’s made out of porcelain, light, energy, pouring out of him. Bolts of emerald crack off him like lightning, jumping between the mists like neon clouds, though he hardly seems to notice.          

“You wanted me here? Here I am,” Danny growls, physically vibrating when his vacant eyes find the ghost blocking Jazz’s way.

“I can see that,” the ghost says with the low rumble of a chuckle, unperturbed as his lips curl into a sharp grin. “And you're barely holding on. Losing control, are we?”

The words send a lance of pain through Jazz’s chest. The ghost's words are so gloating, so awful, but she has the sinking feeling that they're true. Because the boy suspended in the icy depths of this twisted dimension, the one literally breaking apart in front of them—he doesn’t feel like her brother.

“Maybe,” Danny says, his lips hooking at the corner, tongue running over teeth too sharp. Ducking his head, he calls glowing energy into his taloned hand, an intense, vibrant green cupped in his palm. “But this isn't ending the way you wanted it to. You were wrong, Dan.”

“Oh?” the ghost says, amusement still dancing in his voice.    

“I’m not turning into you.” Her brother smiles, and it's haunting, all wrong on his face. With a cold, hard certainty, he says, “I’m becoming something much worse.”

I watch the show mostly for Buddie (i‘m not ashamed to admit this), so after letting myself get spoiled i can skip tonights one, because it‘s a typical Nadia episode🤮🤮🤮 and no she doesn‘t hurt Buddie, Buddie is just not happening tonight. Maybe i can force myself to watch it because of Ravi, but i guess clips are enough.

You do you, boo! I'm here for the whole firefam, so I may be gritting my teeth through whatever nonsense Eddie has going on and then immediately blocking everything from my mind besides how good he looks, but I'm excited for Chim and Ravi and the rest of the firefam content!

Also, I was not expecting any Buddie confirmation this week (or this season) and I certainly was not expecting and do not expect ever a multi-episode drawn out sexuality arc for Eddie. The dude was also struck by lightning and it literally didn't even get mentioned. Does anyone really expect Kristen "everything happens off screen" Reidel to give him a whole arc about it? She could *barely* be bothered to show his breakdown and his "big moment" coming back to the station was him being blurry behind L. EYE would like to see it, but it's not something I think even WITH Buddie happening we would see much of. But if that's your bag I have great news because this fandom is full of amazing fic writers who will get down into all the nitty-gritty.

I'm NOT giving up on Buddie ever happening because things can and do change all the time, and I'm not going to let a bad showrunner drive me away from something I love (at least not yet!) Because that feels like letting her win and I am more than happy to stick around banging pans and shouting about the terrible and boring choices she keeps making 🤷🏻‍♀️

But it's not happening tonight and odds don't look good for the rest of the season either 🤷🏻‍♀️ So if that's not for you, that's fine! Skip the episode and preserve your peace! But also, don't believe everything you see on twitter about how it's definitely for sure happening. None of those girlies know anything more than anyone else. If spec is good and fun for you, go for it! But if you find it doesn't work for you, it's fine to filter out the noise and choose what makes your experience the best.

How's it going:

No complaints, really. Working from home has been going better than usual. Finally getting my dog's rampant allergies under control (he had been rubbing the fur away from his eyes and ripping off the outermost layer of his paw pads). I've been putting more effort into making time for myself to read, which makes me feel more like myself.

I've inserted myself into two fandoms around here (FO4 and TOW) since I migrated from Instagram to Tumblr earlier this year, which has been an absolutely amazing experience. I've made new friends, met dozens of awesome people, it's been incredible.

Trying desperately to get some fanfic and art projects done, I can't seem to finish anything these days. Three fics ongoing (only one of which has made it onto AO3 thus far), none finished, and I don't even dare count my unfinished charcoal projects. Lord.

Oh and I'm psyched as fuck because the PlayStation Store has a great holiday sale ongoing (games up to 90% off). Was able to pick up three new co-op games so the husband and I have more stuff to do together so that's exciting.
