The over-matism in this fandom is both hilarious and exhausting.
EVERYONE is a mate.
Helion and LOA=mates!
Azriel and Mor=mates!
Lucien and Jesminda=mates!
Gwyn and Azriel=mates!
Azriel and Elris=mates!
Azriel and Rhys's dead sister=mates!
Mor and Emerie=mates!
Tamlin and Rhys's dead sister=mates!
Bryce and Azriel=mates!
Amarantha and Tamlin=mates!
Azriel and Elain=absolutely, definitely, no way, cannot be, not mates!
Wouldn't at least 3/4 of these people KNOW that they were mates?
I know it's the lowest hanging fruit of 'sadness' for this fandom, because they love excusing every type of shitty behavior because 'oh he/she lost their mate', but that would be the laziest imaginable writing. You don't like '3 brothers x 3 sisters' and think it's cliche? But every single asshole in the series having a dead mate and therefore behaving badly is okay?
No, there isn't a whole cemetery of Prythian's prematurely dead mates out there.
Some of these people just make shitty decisions over and over again. That's all.

Andorian Fables Sessions 2-13
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I honestly forgot I missed session 1. and apparently session 3??? in my folder it just goes from sesh 2 to 4 so *shrugs* actually that might've been a bugs-less session anyways i cant remember lmao
as per usual mini summaries of whats going on in each session is in the alt text, based both on memory and the actual written notes our good friend rach (theo's player) does :3
Anyways the story of this game since its all homebrewed by my bloved brother and our DM Ray: The continent of Andoris and its kingdom are now under the rule of a tyrant, King Luthain, who has deemed all forms of magic dangerous and has passed an anti-magic/anti-gods/deities law. Our party of misfits is formed when we all join under a group of rebels within the underground passageways of the main city of Lyrine. The original rebels consist of a ragtag group of refugees supposedly led by Adelia, a young lizardfolk woman. Our party has been together for about 2 weeks as of the start of the campaign. Other rebel members include Myara (a tabaxi who runs the tiny bar we have), Chalis (an earth genasi who basically built the underground passageways n stuff), and Attis (an old retired ratfolk rogue). Our party (the players) consists of: "Bugs" the ratfolk druid/rogue Theophania the canitaur cleric of Kante Sohone Rhal Nokk the orc barbarian and Lunen Thorin the dark elf divlocke (both played by one player lmao) Xander LeClerc the scourge aasimar warlock Indi Crovi the tiefling shadow sorcerer Belsar Glacies/Mina Elris the half elf/changeling sorcerer Chromis Roadsword the firbolg paladin (who joins in session 9)
fun bonus fact i draw all of these on the same canvas in their own lil organized folder layers until FireAlpaca starts lagging and begging for me to stop :3

The Great Produce 48 Rewatch
Tumblr media
Hello, lovies! This post marks the start of my Produce 48 Recaps. For those of you who don't know, this show was the first time we met various trainees who went on to join a bunch of other groups, including Alice/Elris, Bugaboo, Cherry Bullet, Everglow, H1-Key, IVE, Kep1er, Le Sserafim, Lightsum, Purple Kiss, Queenz Eye, Rocket Punch, Secret Number, and of course IZ*one. Some of them also appeared on Girls Planet 999 and/or Queendom Puzzle.
Since the show is so iconic, and so messy, I'm going to back to 2018 to recap it in my own chatty, opinionated way. This post will be the anchor post and I'll add links to other episodes as we go along. Welcome to the ride!
I've decided to split the difference with respect to spoilers. No one wanted me to write it as if it's still 2018, but some people did want me to avoid spoiling who makes the final lineup, and I'm going to go with that. I'm going to tell you who goes on to be in every other group EXCEPT for who makes it into IZ*one, because that spoils this specific show and will make it less fun to watch along if that's what you want to do. I'm also not going to spoil things like when people go home and what their final ranks will be. However, after each elimination round, I'll tell you where people are now.
In case you want to either find or filter out all these recaps, I'm tagging them all with "BPR recaps P48."
If you want to start watching the show, this link is the least crappy one I've found. https://kshow123.tv/show/produce-48/episode-1.html
Intro: Episode 1: Entrances

Not related to anything in particular but I know we’re brainstorming making the Targaryen family bigger! Do you plan on making / consider the non-canon dragon names (from that one scene of Viserys III and Doreah) to be canon dragons to the extended branches of the family or the former dragons of the Targaryens pre-conquest?
yeah fuck it man why not? That's more things I don't gotta name. I did the math once and like if you only had 1 set of dragons mate every 5 years and only have like 1-5 eggs or so over even 100 years...... that's a LOT of potential dragons. like 25ish. which is just TOO MANY lol. And the targaryens came over with FIVE adult dragons. ofc GRRM then handwaves away that like 4 all die????? in the 100 years or so after the doom and apparently only meraxes and vhagar were the ONLY new dragons to hatch in ONE HUNDRED YEARS? when we have like 10-ish alone birthed in around the dance era and the targs of THAT era are about 200 years away from valyria...... like..... INSANE. NONSENSE. you'd think it'd be there were MORE dragons at the start and then over time as knowledge and tradition decays they get shittier and shittier at hatching them.
so yeah sure. those guys can be canon and then Things Happened. Like I have it that half the house goes with Elrys into exile and he takes the 4 dragons who DiEd SoMeHoW and then even more targs and dragons die in my version of the dance. plenty of room for more dead dragons lol.
for the reference of others:
viserys: But as you got closer to the Iron Throne… They got bigger and bigger and bigger. There was Ghiscar and Valryon, Vermithrax, Essovius, Archonel, Meraxes, Vhagar… And Balerion the Dread… whose fire forged the Seven Kingdoms into one.

weeekly discography review:
colorise a kpop bible omgggg. literally flawless listening experience for the first 4 songs, and the last 2 are listenable filler. Love!
BUT vroom vroom a terrible case of the 6.5 effect like why is your mv giving elris summer dream when the song is OBVIOUSLY brave girls we ride coded?????? THAT is why it flopped and why a lot of your other songs flopped, like why is ven para 5 dollars and a dream and not everglow dreamcatcher realness???? Why does lights on (alice/elris coded) look indistinguishable from any other of their post-as mvs and not. At LEAST as good as a weki meki mv????? Kys
Anyways tag me, after school, vroom vroom and lights on kinda the only listenable title tracks, and the bsides I only liked some from tag me besides colorise. BUT i like good day as a special release and i REALLY love boom chiki (their best song)

✦ For one thing I see the Targs of the exodus and Aegon era as being much more populace than they're made out to be. in AWIOAF it's said Aenar brought his "kin" along with his immediate family and in the verbage of this era irl that can be hundreds of people easily.
✦ Elrys has albinism and suffers from chronic illness. While he's till a decent warrior he leans heavily on tactics and magic to function, especially magic as it's how he treats his illness.
✦ Elrys has always been melancholic, brooding, prone to mood swings and generally just very byronic. He gets worse with age and is just such an emotional lead weight.
✦ After traveling the world (which includes Valyria, where he gets some crazy ass swords) he comes back and gets in a fight with Aegon about how to handle the Prophecized Apocalypse, Aegon thinks westeros is more important, Elrys thinks Essos is more important. They come to blows and Elrys convinces half of the house to go into exile with him, he also takes 4 of the 5 original dragons.
✦ He takes over Asshai, the Shadow Lands and part of Yi Ti , creating the Mōriblēnun Empire and gets to work on building both the Targ and dragon populations to defend the Five Forts and Mountains of Morning.
✦ He Dies Mysteriously™ the same year as Aegon in Stygai, seemingly by his own sword somehow.
✦ Unlike Aegon he doesn't stay dead as his solution to succession issues was to just use magic to ensure he'd be reincarnated ad nausuem in the Mōriblēnean bloodlines.
✦ All his reincarnations are renamed "Elrys" once it's figured out who they are. The different iterations are distinguished by epiphets, Elrys the first is called " Doom Bound". both @solionvejes and @gelionvejes are his reincarnations.

Abelas was fuming. Cheeks puffed and red, there was a palpable sense of frustration emanating off of the elvhen as he looked at the profane caricature this so called 'artist' was doing of his son. "Keep looking?!" He all but demanded, "Look at what he's doing to my boy!" Abelas pulled out a sketch pad and pointed at his doddle, then Icarus, then the portrait that was being done of him. "Where are his muscles!?" This was one of the many reasons why he never came to the city, rude people like this with big dumb eyes that couldn't see anything. Icarus, dopey as ever, with his tongue half flopped out and a scroll of plane shift tied to his collar, just sat there as he looked at the three. The artist - who should be afraid at this point - Abelas, and then Elris.
Tumblr media
Who: @abelasx
Where: Progress day
They were meant to be looking for anything that would help with the ring situation. Progress day was the prefect time to see what in innovative mortals had come up with. It was a small chance they would be able to find something but if they didn’t look it would be foolish of them. Well they would be looking if they hadn’t stumbled across an artist who had offered to paint Icarus. “Abelas we should keep looking.” He tried to encourage the other to move on. “We can always come back.”

I see 'Hoist the Colors' as a song Thalassa sings - partly in warning to herself. 'Remember, you are not a god. Remember, you are fallible. Remember, that there are those who would chain the sea.'
@hamelin-born
This is a good idea and I do think that is something shewould do! She is constantly reminding herself of this. She knows who and what she’s supposed to be. She knows that she is nota god, that she – for all she’s lived a long life – is not immortal. Not truly. The Astrals were never meant to be forever and a well-placed blow can stillstrike them down. They are strong, yes, but there is always, always, something stronger. She is notinvincible, nor does she wish to be. She knows that she is just a vulnerable aseveryone else. Someone only needs to get lucky once, after all.
However.
If I’m being completely honest, my first thought listeningto this song in the context of the SToS au was the verse that @starofthemourning brought up a while back in this post where Bahamut tries and succeeds in chaining Leviathan.
Bahamut chains Leviathan in her own waters, off the shoresof what would one day become Altissia. She is bound and chained and can do nothing as her child, her Chosen, herTide-son suffers the same fate leagues away.
Leviathan is imprisoned in her own waters, not even free totravel her own domain, chained to the Prophecy and Bahamut’s vision for it. Shefights and screams and rages and, even as imprisoned as she is, her waterswrithe and froth in time with her fury. But the Laws of Prophecy are old, far olderthan they are and there is nothing Leviathan can do. Bahamut knows there is nothing she can do and soexpects her to submit to the Prophecy as Shiva does.
She does not.
Chained she may be, but the Sea is still hers.
So when Bahamut commands that the Astrals sleep, Leviathansneers at her sword-brother’s ignorance, at his arrogance.
Bahamut expects her to fall in line, to bend to his will. Heexpects her to break under the weight of her chains. For the Sea is vast andwide and free. It is not meant forcages, for chains. The Sea is ever shifting, ever moving, ever changing.Leviathan is not meant for this stillness that Bahamut has bound her to and heknows it.
But.
The Astrals are the children of Eos, the Dawn Mother, theGolden Lady, the Lightbringer. She crafted them with Her own hands to lookafter Her Sibling’s children. To guide and protect and serve until their timeis done.
Eos is Light and Love and Life.
She is much like the Sea – ever growing, ever moving, everflowing. Life is not still or stagnant; it marches forward one way or another, eager, ready, able.
And Leviathan, like her siblings, is a child of Eos.
But.
Thalassa is a child of Etro.
Etro the Soul Keeper, the Lord of Order, the Dreamspeaker.
Etro who is Order and Justice and Death.
Leviathan, Thalassa,is a death-touched Astral. For when Eos was crafting Her children, when Sheneeded something that embodied the very essence of the Sea – well. What is moreprone to change? What is constantly moving, learning, growing? What is capableof being kind and cruel in equal measure, of dealing death and giving life inthe same breath?
A human.
But humanity is Etro’s domain, and so Eos asked Her Siblingfor a soul. One She could craft into a guardian for Their Star.
So yes, Leviathan is a child of Eos, just as Bahamut is.
But Thalassa is a child of Etro, first, last, always.
And Death is patient.
Leviathan settles into her prison and plans.
Her children bring her what lost souls they can save, bringher news of the world above, invoke her name in the heart of mortal cities.
She is bound in the chains of Prophecy, but she can wait. After all, water goes where it will and all things die in the end.
Death is patient and so is she.

Thanks for trying to answer these questions!
I'm sorry if you've felt bullied by Elriels in the fandom, but not sure why you believe the answer is then to go purposefully on posts that are tagged anti Elucien and leave rude comments, knowing Elriels will not agree with you? What is the point? I already know Eluciens won't agree, so I don't typically go commenting on their posts.
As for your answers, honestly exactly what I expected to hear.
Here's why I asked:
1. Yes, we can agree it was Azriel's blade. I didn't ask because I think it's romantic, I asked because I wanted you to acknowledge who owns that blade. Because ...
2. And you didn't answer this one about whether you'd hypothetically expect Gwyn to give back TT but - If it's Azriel's blade, wouldn't you expect Elain to give it back to him? It was not a gift. It's not hers.
And you said in your own words: the TT scene was not romantic. So why is Elain giving truth-teller back proof of that there isn't a romance between Elriel? If the scene he gave it to her in wasn't romantic, then how is her giving it back in any way related to their romantic future?
(And you're right actually. I also didn't see Azriel giving her the blade as inherently romantic 🤷🏻‍♀️ Just made a post on that actually like two days ago. I saw it as significant - more of a turning point for both of them)
3. You made a point that "Mor begged Azriel not to fight and that's the only reason why he gave Elain truthteller". You again, did not answer my question on whether Mor begged Azriel to stay and not fight (like Rhys and Cassian told him no) or did she beg him to give truthteller to Elain?
Simply trying to show you that you were mixing up two different things. Azriel might've stayed behind because Mor begged, sure, but that has nothing to do with why he gave Elain TT. Not to mention, Cassian offered Elain a dagger first. She did not take it. And still, Azriel gave her truthteller. It's significant because Elain accepted it and Azriel let someone else even touch it.
4. You implied Azriel only thinks of Elain in a sexual manner when you brought up the "He hadn't thought past his sex fantasies he pleasures himself to". What does that make him? Someone who uses a woman only for sex. Is that not a fuckboy? Did you specifically say that word, no, but don't tell me that's not what you meant now. If you meant to say "he's a deeply traumatized male" why did you only backtrack and bring up his trauma when I then asked you why you would want Gwyn with a fuckboy like that? Or in your words "a stalker" like that?
5. Sure, definitely let's have Azriel heal. Now if he "heals" and is still into Elain - then what?
6. If you ONLY read Azriel's bonus chapter and read his thoughts and looked at the sentence of "he hadn't thought past the thoughts he pleasured himself to" then sure, it would make sense that you'd think Azriel was only showing lust, not romance with a side of lust. But if you read the BC in the context of the series, you see that is the only instance of Elriel that is even sexual. Every other interaction of theirs shows clear romance. Him even getting her a necklace (yes, it's Elain's necklace) is romantic. There are endless romantic Elriel scenes and the BC is one of many. It is the only one actually, where we see clear sexual attraction. And that's the only one y'all seem to be using to claim "Azriel only has sexual thoughts for Elain, not romance".
And also you keep bringing up, again, Azriel picturing Gwyn's smile. A thing of secret lovely beauty - which btw, was used for Elain first.
How is that a romantic interaction though? Because he says beauty? Okay. Nesta also calls Gwyn beautiful? Gwnesta endgame next? That scene is just Azriel picturing Gwyn getting some joy from receiving the gift. How is that peak romance?
7. How were Cassian's feelings apparent to you in his bonus chapter but not Azriel's? Cassian & Nesta had barely interacted that much when their BC came out in ACOMAF. Elriel did have many interactions before their BC, where Azriel did show sexual attraction for Elain.
Nessian BC: Took place before that much Nessian interaction, Cassian has a lot of sexual thoughts about Nesta and thinks she's beautiful - neither of which we had really seen in ACOMAF because they just met.
Elriel BC: Took place after Elriel had already had romantic moments, and was mainly focused on their physical feelings - something we had not seen from them yet.
Genuinely, I don't understand how people can say Cassian's BC was "romantic" when his inner monologue 90% of the time is all about Nesta's massive boobs and her thin frame.
8. A thing of secret lovely beauty is about the necklace Azriel got for Elain. Her necklace. Those words are used to describe a gift for her first. The gift itself is a representation of her.
9. So you read SJM writing the exact same phrase twice in one chapter - and you simply thought that was to sew a seed of romance between Azriel and Gwyn by comparing her to Elain's necklace?
Not - idk - a key advancement of the overall plot of the story? ACOTAR is romantasy - it isn't just romance. There is a greater plot happening and a repeated phrase like that is a key indicator of an advancement of the plot. Remember "Through love all is possible"? Or "Stay with the HL?"
10. My point wasn't so much as emphasizing the Sarah thing, lol, I actually find it pretty funny when people throw around Sarah or Miss Janet and idlk why. I was more so trying to say you can't say something is "OBVIOUSLY" happening unless you read things in context. Which, most pieces of Elucien debate are not in context.
And again - if you're trying to stand up for all Eluciens or whatever, I don't think commenting on hella Elriel posts will change anything to be frank🤷🏻‍♀️ people are rude on all sides of this fandom.
Debating with people who come on your posts is obviously fine, but not sure what the end goal for you is if you just go after Elriel posts purposefully tagged as anti Elucien and pro Elriel.
Most people tag things as anti Elucien or anti Gwynriel or anti Elriel because they DON'T want a debate from antis. If something is tagged Elucien and isn't, then full send - that is asking for a debate. That's why we have these tags and in this insanely toxic fandom, it's really the only thing of order /line in the sand.
It's especially telling how eluciens wanted lucien to take papa archeron's place and bring back the ships and 'gallantly' rescuing Elain and co. Honestly if that happened I would have gladly shipped Elucien. You know to whom that romantically coded rescue trope went to? Azriel. Not to mention the truth teller scene :)
Honestly Sarah cannot make this anymore obvious. She really could've written Elucien a lot differently but instead wrote this devoid of chemistry, painfully awkward relationship that is barely hanging by a bond given by a corrupted cauldron.
Anyways I'm usually a lurker by nature but I could not stop myself from posting this cause it surprised me how Eluciens don't see this glaring omission of Lucien in these pivotal moments as warning signs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Every time there is a new redhead, a segment of this fandom starts thinking that this is going to be the most important character in the series.
Lucien!
Eris!
Gwyn!
LoA (and maybe Helion)
Nameless Vanserra brother #4!
Unless they are winged, or shadowed, and definitely tattooed head to toe, SJM doesn’t care. Also, preferably, all of the above.
Unless Elris takes off his shirt and suddenly he’s got sleeves and a neck tattoo and can sprout wings, I wouldn’t put any eggs into the Eris basket.

It's ok to theorise that Gwyn is a lightsinger but not an evil lightsinger. There is a HUGE difference and elriels always paint her as a bad person in their theories, even saying she's going to be play the villain in Elain's book when Gwyn has nothing to do with her and Koschei. And yes, I've seen posts written by elries saying that, I am not making this up. Oh, and also, posts comparing her to Ianthe, saying she's bad because Ianthe was a priestess and they are somehow related, something that has 0 arguments. Please, read the books before saying that Gwyn is Ianthe's sister, it's pretty clear that they can't be related. To sum up: Gwyn being a lightsinger that has light powers = good, nice Gwyn being an evil light singer that is trying to lure/control Az, tricking Nesta and lying about her SA = bad, nasty and disguting theory that puts real life SA survivors in a bad place I hope I made it clear. And this is for every elriel out there: think twice before posting theories that do not make any sense and could harm/trigger real people.
I guess we’re doing this today.
“It’s ok to theorize that Gwyn is a lightsinger but not an evil lightsinger.”
Even assuming that all elriels are theorizing gwyn is an evil lightsinger (an incorrect point I address below), I think that comes with the theory. Lightsingers are canonically…not good (at least as far as we currently know). Cassian says they essentially lure men to their death:
Tumblr media
So any theory that Gwyn is a lightsinger is likely to acknowledge that it *might* not be a good thing for Gwyn. And why is it not ok to theorize that Gwyn might be bad if she’s a lightsinger? Because she’s an SA survivor? Unfortunately, being an SA survivor is unrelated to character/morality, and SA survivors can be good people, or bad people, or something in between. Gwyn is no exception to this.
And before anyone comes at me, I’m a SA survivor too, but it’s gross that this fandom has essentially forced people to disclose their past trauma to be able to voice views about Gwyn’s character.
“Elriels always paint her as a bad person in their theories”
Oh really? I have written at least 6 lightsinger posts, and in all of them I say I don’t think Gwyn is evil or bad. For example, in this post I said (my first lightsinger post from last February):
Tumblr media
And in this post, I said:
Tumblr media
@silverdreamscapes, who has written several lightsinger posts, says similarly:
Tumblr media
In fact, I can only think of 4 or 5 lightsinger posts that actually say they think gwyn will be evil or bad, out of at least 100 posts I’ve read. So no, Elriels do not always paint her as a bad person in their theories. But even when I say I don’t think she will be evil or want her to be evil, I am told I’m a horrible person for even suggesting she might be a lightsinger because lightsingers are “monsters.” But apparently gwynriels can say she’s one and it’s ok?
“Oh, and also posts comparing her to Ianthe”
I’m assuming you’re talking about my post, where I expressly said this at the beginning:
Tumblr media
And I theorized that Gwyn and Ianthe are likely foils, meaning they have superficial similarities that are meant to highlight the differences between them (e.g., that Ianthe is evil and Gwyn isn’t). I in no way theorized that Gwyn is going to be like Ianthe in terms of character. But guess what, whether gwynriels are willing to admit it or no, there are superficial similarities between Gwyn and Ianthe in the text (the only two characters with teal eyes in the whole series, both priestesses, both have characteristics reminiscent of lightsingers), and I believe Sarah did that intentionally. It’s not wrong for readers to ask why that is.
And just for that post, I got doxxed and dragged across multiple social media platforms, called disgusting and horrible and way worse names. And my friends who interacted with the post also got called out and dragged publicly, and some of them faced straight up attacks and harassment on social media. All for liking a post that pointed out superficial similarities between Gwyn and Ianthe but posited that they’re likely foils, and Gwyn won’t be like Ianthe in terms of character. COOL.
And as for posts theorizing Gwyn and Ianthe might be related—so what? Almost all the good characters in this series have awful parents or siblings. If Gwyn is related to Ianthe, that doesn’t mean anything in terms of her character.
I agree that the posts (of which I know of one) suggesting Gwyn might have lied about her SA are problematic, and I’ve denounced them.
But I do not agree that theorizing Gwyn is a lightsinger based on innumerable hints in the text, and then wondering what that will mean for her character—whether she will be good, or is being manipulated, or if she might be bad—is a problem. Gwyn being a SA survivor doesn’t make her immune from being a morally gray character, just like it doesn’t for Rhys, or Nesta and Elain (who went through something very akin to sexual assault when they were forced into the cauldron), and just like Azriel’s trauma doesn’t make him immune from being morally gray.
Also, these are just *theories* about *fictional characters.* no one is claiming they’re canon. They’re just theories based on what might be clues in the text. That’s it.
“And this is for every Elriel out there: think twice before posting theories that do not make any sense and could harm/trigger real people”
Thanks for the threat, but no ☺️
Of course I don’t want to harm or trigger real people, but that’s why I always put trigger warnings and disclaimers before my theory posts that might trigger people, and I put those posts under readmores. That is all that should be required. But no, I’m not going to stop posting theories that are based on evidence in the text just because some people might be hurt or offended when I include a TW or disclaimer at the beginning of the post. If you’re triggered by the lightersinger theory, block the “Gwyn lightsinger” tag (and anti gwynriel and anti gw*nriel), and don’t keep reading past the disclaimer or TW on a post that you know you won’t like or will be triggering to you.
If you don’t like certain content, block it. We are all able to curate our experience on tumblr.com. But don’t come at us for posting things you find offensive when you’re purposefully seeking out our posts, sharing them in your discords, and reading past TWs and disclaimers that are intended to prevent anyone who might be triggered or harmed from being triggered or harmed.
