Yesterday, @intrepidteacher and I made our list of ten firsts with our young writers in our Writing ✍️ After School Activity (catchy name, I know) so that they could generate ideas for stories, poems, whathaveyou. I've been thinking about toxic positivity lately (which you already know based on the articles I've shared on Facebook and Twitter) but that doesn't mean there's no place for training ourselves to see the world in a way that encourages gratitude and celebration. I don't know if there is a greater purpose or a reason for anything, but there is a certain magic to experiencing the full spectrum of human emotions. Being happy - or grateful - all the time simply isn't possible for us imperfect creatures. It's okay to fall apart, to be miserable, to have a day where everything and everyone pisses you off. The more we fight and judge our emotions, the harder they are to get through. Lately people keep talking to me about how they need to get help because they're anxious and sad in situations where any reasonable person would be anxious and sad. Question, did I ever claim or say “I know all about this problem therefore I know how to solve it.” Did I say, “I am correct and all the facts I have stated are not disputable.”No.So, anon who is not confident to actually show yourself, please notice that I say South Korea and North Korea are the only ones actually able to solve this problem because they know about South and North Korean traditions, cultures, economies, etc. However my main point that is that TRUMP HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. OTHER COUNTRIES (not only America), believe it or not, ARE ABLE TO MAKE THEIR OWN POLITICAL DECISIONS, WHICH, to some, IS NOT POSSIBLE. WHICH POINTS OUT THAT SOUTH AND NORTH KOREA ARE ABLE TO MAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS. If you looked at the comments, my comment would follow along with the conversation. In this day and age, no matter what one says or voices it’ll always be perceived as “pushing an agenda.” So go ahead, tell that to my face. That’s fine, I’m used to it. However, I’m also ready to tell you that I would not voice something just to hear myself speak. I rarely comment on political posts, but I hate when people give credit where it is not deserved. After all the decades of hardships for both Koreas they deserve to be supported, applauded, and given credit for such an amazing step forward.
